Think I kind of get a different meaning from the general public; but it is beautiful none-the-less. I cannot wield an axe I did not have a full handle on; friend or not I will not chose one side over another when I do not know the grief both sides may have stirred. Though it is harder when one side has faulted you personally as well in another issue. But it does not change the fact that I do not know what lay at the basis of their issue.

I like it... our friends faults stir our deepest grief sometimes...thanks again for checking out my music...yeah I'd be cool with a movie soundtrack :) maybe a car commercial :) "no sleep on a Saturday"... was after I worked all night and came home and composed a rough working of it....."torn muscle" was actually made right around the time I had a torn muscle :)

When we're in grief, we're more vulnerable to "the axe," Ruben. You say a lot about sadness and human frailty in this wonderful senryu! Love, Carolyn

@.@ I like the way you manage actions here, I mean, it actually fits the title @.@ and makes everything "slashy"; thanks a lot for the experience, and for the comment xD

Friends can say such hurtful things that it does tear through the soul like a raging tornado. But, confront them about you are feeling and remember why they are your friends in the first place. Such saddness here Rueben, hope this isn't you?

That's life, ain't it. Deborah Guzzi wrote in "The Gift": Just the Gift of a span of time. A span of time encapsulates all things. So all things must end someday. You asked me, "What happened to your muse?" Our tree got cut down, too. What a grand tree it was, though. I'm looking for the next big thing. The time is now.

Ruben, you are so right. When friends are hurt and fall from their happy place, it does hurt. And the reality is that there are some times when just being there is all we can do. And show forth love, kindness, and respect. Do NOT show the AXE!!!! LOL I'm not sure that I understand all of this senryu. But it certainly required thinking and that in my book is important to good writing. Keep writing those short, mind-bender poems, my friend. You have the talent for it. Love, Dane
