Millions

Amongst the open darkness in a cavern of solitude,
Imprudence arises, the rejuvenating stem of prosperity.
Applying towards what the eye can see,
It vanishes into thin air, it fogs answers towards doubts.

They run, they run into circles bumper-hitting each other.
Hooligans, fools, childish mercenaries murdering all.
Do you consist of no hope! No justice! No intellect!
You flounder yourself with green paper treats…

Compromise with death and shall the deal swindle.
For what you like but don’t have gives doubts,
Either you buy,
Either you borrow,
Either you steal…

Buy. Greener grass, the better.
Chain irritation towards the skin of slavery…
1, 10, 100, 1000, how many slaughtered?
1, 10, 100, 1000, how many long forgotten?
The boycott may not last forever.

Borrow. It isn’t stealing… yet.
Invitation parties with silky ornaments and flashy women.
Spoil thy throne of allegiance and corrupt thy soul.
I say “honey” you spit “money” with interest,
I say “goodbye” you blabber “stay” with care.
Get out. Get out! GET OUT!

Steal. Finder’s keepers…
Into the society where the royal is praised,
And the sweat, blood and tears are translucent.
Search and destroy what are destitute,
Blame those who have no voices to shout.
Their red hands with the green tips speak loud.
How many do you think are deaf?

10, 100, 1000, 10,000?

I think millions.

Sami, I like this line: "You flounder yourself with green paper treats..." Even though I find this poem a little abstract, You paint such great images. Good job. Regarding "Innocent Civilians," you are very welcome...But I did'nt "put" Gaza in it, Your "red hands with the green tips" did it. Continue sharing. Ruben.

Wow. Yes, heavy duty writing and talk about cynical. This touches upon (way more than touches upon) a sad truth. Powerful ending. Love, Shar
