I'm Scared

Am I in a act of play,
did the clapper board come down
just as I looked away?

I see the crowd,
their eyes embedded,
Is this the nightmare,
that I've dreaded?

Standing alone
the spotlight screaming,
my hope in God, is,
That I'm just dreaming.

Ann, you have a way of really drawing the reader into your verse. I admire that quality. If only we could always be dreaming when life seems like a nightmare. Great work! Love, Carolyn

Smile~Well, in a way you are dear lady!? And Your hope within "God," is absolutely 'everything!!!~For as Christ said in John 16:33~"In the world you shall have trials and tribulations. But be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world...."~ And I would also recommend Matt: 28-30 dear Ann!:) This was a lovely little write of profoundly felt expression here! And, I hope you are feeling better then when this was written!?....cont....

Ann this is breaking my heart as I friend the voice in this poem seems so overwhelmed..I hope you and your husband are well and if you are not may the long arm of the Lord cradle you and give you, Chris.
