Song of The Phoenix

On this eve of a night serene,
When silence pierced the haunting skies,
The stars above glistened, briefly – but bright
Over the dead, dark, never ending night
A tune, as sweet and melodious as the seraph’s song,
Echoed in the darkness…
Suddenly, the darkness seemed to lift,
As the clouds of heaven set adrift..
The moon came out from the clearing skies,
Gazed upon the sea with adoring eyes.
‘Twas the phoenix that by its presence
displayed all of nature's transcendence
The phoenix, reborn from ashes of sorrow, filled
The air with its awesome presence..
All of nature listens as the phoenix sings,
Celebrating all the joy it brings…
