A Whisper on the Wind

I was a gentle whisper upon the wind

That swept over the green valleys

I climbed the height of the highest mountain

And murmured softly as I descended the slopes

I picked up speed and started moving swiftly

Over the plateau and the sun swept plains

I picked up speed and started to howl

Whistling around corners and pushing gust after gust

Bending the trees till they touched the earth

I reached the open water and the lapping waves became huge swells

Higher and higher went the waves until the white caps hit the shore

I took the rain and pelted it against the earth

Harder and harder as if in an angry rage

Then I blew my self out on the open ocean waves

Exhausted, I once again became a whisper on the wind
