Seasonal Thoughts

The sun is still warm,
the trees, full of leaves,
yet one or two, yellowed,
have fallen.
As the first, fresh winds
of autumn
clear cobwebs away
the days grow shorter,
the last of the summer flowers
give their all,
and another season passes
without protest,
as another summer passes
like a dream.
