The Snake
"What's the worst that could happen?" she said,
When we went to the zoo,
"We might see something interesting,
Perhaps there's something new."
But new exhibit wasn't there,
It was nowhere to be found,
The keepers scratched their struck-dumb heads,
And went searching all around,
But she remained quite cheerful,
Though I was filled with dread,
Especially when "Largest Snake Coming Soon!"
Was on sign I read,
But she watched not where she stepped,
And soon then met her fate,
She screamed (While away I hastened)
And eventually got ate
I guess there's some kind of moral, though,
That I have yet to see,
Except that I know, Zoo's no place to go,
When the Movies appeal more to me.
