Now It's On To Chicago Pt.2

Now it's on to Chicago,
know my Doom as it nears;
Now it's on to Chicago,
to stand 'gainst those damned fears;
Now it's on to Chicago,
been walkin' many years.

Knowin' 'gain what I forgot,
searched the perfect silence;
Knowin' 'gain what I forgot,
found a peaceful violence;
like drug in the undertow
to the tides' shouted cheers.

I got me a true purpose,
found it by walkin' 'round;
I got me a true purpose,
it's in this old horn's sound;
time to reap ev'ry corn row
with tractor's shiftin' gears.

So much depends on this, here,
mounds of glory unseen;
So much depends on this, here,
a harvest still to glean;
findin' all I need to know,
new season to sow nears.

Now it's on to Chicago,
know my Doom as it nears;
Now it's on to Chicago,
to stand 'gainst those damned fears;
Now it's on to Chicago,
been walkin' many years.

I've now took up that old sword
of so much well-worn worth;
I've now took up that old sword,
it's swing brings so much mirth;
ya know, they'd better duck low,
those with hate-filled careers.

My driftin' pace is measured,
to Hell with those of Might;
My driftin' pace is measured,
my stingin' cast of Light;
no small corpse of a crow,
no superstitious fears.

All fictions to become Truth,
cut reductions with zest;
All fictions to become Truths,
soon done,  like my quest;
now's the only time to go,
wind's howlin' in my ears.

Now it's on to Chicago,
know my Doom as it nears;
Now it's on to Chicago,
To stand 'gainst those damned fears;
Now it's on to Chicago,
been walkin' many years.
