Twas A Full Moon Shining - Collab

Twas a full moon shining on a cool summer night And hound dogs were howling at its silver shadowed light. I heard but a whisper on the cool evening breeze, Twas the voice of a woman I used to chase and tease. Our love was forever, at least I used to think it so. Then came the day she left me; I wondered, where’d she go? If true love lasts forever, is this love not for me? I heard an answer on the wind - Son, your true love is she. A true love will always linger in the shadows of your heart Even when the one you love has chosen to depart. True love is the love you gave, no matter what the cost It will return to you again, for it is never lost. Like a full moon shining on a cool summer night With placid waters glistening in its silver shadowed light Love comes like a whisper on a cool evening breeze A gentle touch, a soft caress, a rustle in the trees. There is no bitterness in the past, if your love was true The sweetness in the memory is true love’s gift to you A rising sun or new full moon is not a memory And so will love come once again, if you let it be. Twas a full moon shining on a cool summer night And hound dogs were howling at its silver shadowed light I heard but a whisper on the cool evening breeze, Twas the voice of love’s song...answering my pleas.

A Crystalline Moment

Cloudy was the morning on which I had awoke, not a bird was heard chirping, nor a single word heard spoke. My eyes were then opened to what no one often sees, as if a veil had been lifted, with a cool summer breeze. Nothing was moving not a single leaf in the trees, or a single blade of grass, as far the eye can see. The dogs so often barking, in this moment could not be heard. Crystalline was the moment that brought me these few words. Within this crystalline moment, my world was standing still this peaceful quiet moment, for me was such a thrill. As that moment faded I felt an inner peace come from within, a moment then gone, when the chaotic world once again began to spin. The dogs began barking and birds were heard chirping in the trees, leaves again began to rustle, upon another cool summer breeze. Children were then heard yelling, as they played out in their yards with that all to familiar sound, of so many passing cars. Is this what the world is like, for those who cannot hear? Do the subtle sounds they think they hear, tend to strike them with a fear? I will have to ask my brother who was born partially deaf, then let him know in a way, he may have been born partially blessed

The Toilet

At times my words feel like turds
In a forever flushing toilet of life
                                      Some days after releasing them
My mind still doesn't feel right
Butt wiped onto paper they go
Then typed into this toilet of life
As they spin around the bowl
I notice something doesn't smell right
It must be time to clean
                                             This forever flushing
                                                  Toilet of life
                                                   Allowing me
                                                     Words of
                                                     Freshness
                                                 And new turds
                                              To flow with delight

The Meaning Of Life

Through life...I've learned the meaning of love. Through love...I've felt the feeling of heartbreak. Through heartbreak...I've felt the feeling of pain. Through pain...I've learned the meaning of acceptance. Through acceptance...I've learned the meaning of forgiveness. Through forgiveness...I've learned the meaning of faith. Through faith...I've learned the meaning of life. We are all important in life... We all have a purpose in life... Now all we have to do is... Make every purpose count... ~Life~ Is a learning experience ~Life~ Is a state of existence that belongs to the soul ~Life~ Is the true meaning of meaning ~Life~ Is the state of something significant, and of great importance ~Life~ Is what is intended to be or is ~Life~ Has a beginning,a purpose, and an end...

A Gentle Kiss

A gentle kiss, that I really must send To another true, and very dear friend Pucker up babe, it's coming your way And riding a storm, so it should be there today I licked my lips before I blew, so I know it's going to stick But with all the lightning, it might have a little kick So when it hits your lips, it might give off a little spark Now what started off as a gentle kiss, might be leaving you in the dark <3

Those Who Shine

To all you great poets that drift free from the hoards I want you to feel the love I've written in these words My heart reaches out to you like a hand in the storm Pulling you from the coldness, trying to keep you warm My words speak with thunder and lightning from above They are sent to you directly from our God with love Your words are read by many, some may be with lost souls Roaming with an emptiness causing them to fall deeper into holes But with the love from your hearts that flows free from your pens You reach out to those falling into darkness, and raise them once again Your pathways will be forever lit with a trail of loves light With all the souls that you have reached in this living life

Will You Be There

A day without thoughts another sleep without dreams. A love filled heart beating slowly that holds love above all things. My mind searches for repentance as love floats above all the earth. I wait for it to begin to rain down giving all life some meaning and worth. Distraught, sad and somber still pretending to hold a smile. Unable to happily hold it as it fades after a short while. The world that I envisioned was to be better then what we now have. To grow stronger, more forgiving and together without spite, greed and murder that leaves us sad. As lifes final days draw near us all when Gods will shall finely be done. Hoping to see you all in heaven where we might all meet as one.

Shadows-Collab

Our shadows were so restless As we passed from room to room They pretended to be living But each within their tomb Shrinking a little bit each day As the sun shown bright above With them a piece of our love slipped away Out on our quest for love The days of our younger shadows Dancing in each days light Love, and laughter floating on the breeze Until day turned into night Slowly burdened by lifes troubles Our shadows could dance no more Only to become darkend spots Fading away on the floor Now death's time, and space have taken you Leaving me only memories of your face The shadow that was once part of you Is now gone without a trace

All about Dan

So you want to get to know me,ok well here goes It's already in my poetry, but I may have left something out who knows? For the last twenty years I've been wearing Nike shoes, hightops that are black They're alot easier to clean then white ones I must say, that is a definite fact My friends all seem to like me and I greet them all with a big smile I've met alot of them through a life of partying, but now thats been over for a while My favorite book is the bible, because whenever I read it I learn something new My favorite movie I couldn't really tell you, since I have seen oh quite a few My favorite song is from Tim Mcgraw,it's"Live Like You Were Dying" In a funny kind of way it refreshes my soul, and I usually end up crying Favorite singer I don't really have one,so I guess it would have to be myself Because I just love it when I sing all the words and don't need anyones help My hair is a dirty blond thats straight, short and very fine It doesn't have a single curl and I know it's all still mine My favorite shampoo is Pert it leaves my hair so silky smooth With the fine and thining hair that I have,it's the one I prefer to use My favorite food is pizza, but fresh baked bread is my favorite smell If I had a food I'd eat everyday that is the one that would put me through hell I have everything I need, with only a few things that I dislike The only thing I want or really need is the love of my loving wife

The 70's

Back in those heavy times when everything was so far out Our words were but a whisper, the mans were but a shout Flower power was spreading, and everything was out of sight Preaching peace through out the days, and gettin our groove on into the night But we were always gettin hassled, by the fuzz, the man, the pigs They didn't want us smokin doobies, and flashin peace signs, can ya dig? Then peace and love had flourished, we needed to get funky and do our thing We needed a place to get our groove on, so the discos were the scene The threads we wore back then were styling, some were off the hook! It's hard to believe with the slim bread we made, we could carry that funky look? Bellbottoms, platform shoes, and jump suits people were a cravin Boogieing away the nights in the discos, where the lights were just a blazin Then the foxy chicks started getting pregoed, and the discos no longer Dyno-mite! Men needed to start makin more bread, and trying to live the family life But gigs weren't easy to find, and life became somewhat of a drag Some of the dudes skipped town, leaving the foxy mamas holding the bag Well thats the skinny of the seventies, the lowdown of peoples ways So keep on truckin all you cool cats and foxy mamas And remember all those ~Freaky, ~Far Out, ~Out Of Sight days
