To James

We walk in the ocean against the tide.
We hold on tightly to survive the ride.

This life is not easy
This love not in vain
We try to walk closer
We try to sustain

There are times when our hold breaks
And one of us will fall.
But the other stands near wanting and waiting to answer their lovers call.

The sun comes out briefly through the dark gloomy skies.
We know it won't last but our hope never dies.
This is a rough road that we lead in life.
But there'll never be a day
I regret being your Wife!

To My Angel Mother

I count my blessings everyday to have a mom like you.
You’ve always been there come what may, to lift my mood when blue.
You say that God sent me down as an angel just for you,
But really God let me choose, I swear to you that’s true.
I saw that we could always be there for one another,
And that’s why God sent me down I chose you for my mother.

I am the woman I am today because you raised me so,
You taught me well and helped me grow, and then you let me go.
You are my mother first of all, but now you’re my friend too.
I never strayed all that far, I like to stay close to you.

Our relationship is a special one I’m sure you would agree.
When I am needed I shall come, you can always count on me.
I know that you feel the same, I am always welcome home.
A warm embrace, a happy face no matter where I roam.

You mean so very much to me, you know that it is true.
I’d walk the very fires of hell, if that’s what I had to do,
To stay the ever loving daughter, and be best friends with you.

Plea For Sanity

Oh God please take these racing thoughts from me,
Please stop the inner turmoil please.
Why do I always feel this way?
What do I have to do, what do I have to say.
Why does my life have to be so hard?
Why do I always have to feel on guard?
It doesn’t seem fair, it doesn’t seem right,
That my mind has to always be in this eternal fight.
I’m tired of worry; I’m tired of pain,
I’m tired of feeling like I’m always to blame.
God please give me peace, please put me mind at ease,
I can not take it, I didn’t ask for this disease.

The Gift

Thank you, for loving me
Thank you, for letting me see
All there is to live for
All the love and so much more
The dreams worth having
The chances worth grabbing
The life I could be living
The love I should be giving
For every day and every night
For hope that springs eternal light
Dancing and singing for all to hear
Turning to love and away from fear
For trusting me with all your heart
For giving my life a fresh new start
Thank you, for sticking by me
Thank you, for making me see

Grandma

I look upon a sea of flowers, I see your face, and we talk for hours.
You see we have such history, you will never know what you mean to me.
You have given so much love and care, I would be lost if you weren't there.
You give of yourself, and you give of your heart. You are beautiful, loving, and
caring, and smart.
You shared with me the love of song; I realize that it's been too long, since I
thought of you as you truly are. In the darkest times, you're a SHINNING STAR!

Pregnancy Number Two

Pregnant once more, a surprise she would be. I was carrying a baby, dependent on me. Since I already had Shelby, no fear did I feel. Just excitement and doubt that this could be real. It wasn't an easy pregnancy still, the doctors we're worried that I'd get quite ill.
She was so strong as she moved inside of me. Every hiccup and kick, filled me with glee. At the end there was worry as her movements grew less, the doctor decided that induction was best. All at once I was filled with fear, my eyes overflowed as they started to tear. My
heart beat strong and knew she'd be fine. Nothing could take, this baby of mine. Labor was hard, the pain quite intense, but didn't last long for that I was blessed. There was no pushing, from me she came fast. Couldn't wait to be born and meet me at last. When finally I held her, it was plain to see. God sent an angel, down to me.

When Two Become One

I love you for the love you show me everyday.
I love you for the way you always go out of your way to make me feel special.
I love you for the way you love me, and for the freedom I feel to always just be me when I'm with you.

You make me feel exceptional, like one of a kind.
You make me feel like we were made for each other. Two souls cut from the same cloth, sharing one life as our hearts beat in a blissful synchronized rhythm.

You are the half of me that had always been missing.
You make everyday joyous,
and have turned our simple house into a home.
You bring me laughter, and contentment.

I want to share the rest of my life in your glorious presence, and share our love each and every day as if it were our last.

You are the man I always dreamed of marrying, someone to be my companion, share the closeness as only a best friend can, and find in you a soul mate.
You are kind and honest.
You are loyal and dependable.
We share similar dreams and aspirations.

Being with you is like sharing the same mind, body, and soul.
You are my one and only. My truest and most honest love. Our souls were made to merge and share one life. May we bask in this love for every more! The

Slowing Down

Life is all the little things that seem to pass us by
They’re is a child’s laugh, a beautiful flower, and sometimes a good hard cry.

We go through life so fast that we forget to slow down
We spend our life in worry and stress when what we should really do is look around.

It’s hard in this world we live in to take the time we need
To have time for ourselves, spend time with the family, or just sit with a child and read.

I dream for a time, not too far off, that this can come to
I know this isn’t an original plea, but for me I hope for it to be true.

Like the old saying “Stop and smell the flowers”
But in my life I like to say “Stop to hear the laughter of a child” it holds with it such healing
powers.
