I Am Enough

I am enough

I see the loom
That spins our fate
Each thread among the other
Love, a few lies, death and hate

I am enough

I hear the sea
That swallows our pride
Each wave drowning the rest
Swim and tread, no where to hide

I am enough

I smell the roses
That mock our existing beauty
Each petal preening
Envy and jealousy, reality

I am enough

I feel the sun
That warms my skin
Each ray reach my heart
Moments away from each sin

I am enough

I taste the sugar
That releases me from pain
Each one melting from existence
Nothing to lose, nothing to gain

I am enough

An Unsheathed Dagger

The tear cut across the page
It's cry pierced the silence
Then another
Bitterness in each hand, finger
Finally
Parts left of a veiled note, about me
contents opened for me, for me
Anger lacing the uneven edges

Betrayal had danced upon the lines
Taunting
Across the page, each line was a stab
Into my back

A cold-eyed girl with a blunt sword
Of hurtful words
and
A fair-skinned girl with a shining shield
That broke
Both stand by my side, but one drifts away
Wrote those nettles of words
Each momentarily paralyzed me
Tranquialized
Until the end

Undecisive
was I
Wether to scream in mocking anger
Or cry, betrayal
But realization surfaced
Cold eyes belong in dark depths
Away from the light, the innocent

Forgiveness was a smile of the past
A sweet thing, it was
But time itself had been another chance
After the many millions

A sheen of frigid ice settled
My heart
A silent flame burned away
My tears
I could have shed
But by now I was someone else
Someone filled with hate,
Pride

The new sheet I pulled out
Was clean
And my stiff words of truth
Spilled onto it's white innocence
and
Tainted it with darkness
Tainted it with poison
The poison of the words I held back
For decades

Robots and Puppets

What will become of this world?
Robots trying to control puppets

With lies of truth that lead to decay
And lies of innocence
That led to consequence

With this world tearing at the edges everyday
For some don’t hold respect
For others, they neglect

With the ones following after to mend our fray
For the influence grows
Both bad and good becoming close

But one day the trap will fall and bar our way
Past wars for freedom
Not learning the wisdom

So let’s listen and prevent for tomorrow, if not today

Void

Don't know what to think
Don't know where to go
I'm so stuck in between
And I don't know what to do

Is it you that is my saviour
Or will you bring me down
You were my peace, serenity
But now that's all rewound

I'm lost in between
This day and the night
Stuck in a place
With paths beyond my sight

Cornered

Hope is lost
Dashed aside
Tears are falling
From swollen eyes

Desolate and trapped
Huddled in the corner
Boundaries vast
Freedom's dreams are dimmer

Puny justice, my own
Fighting for my right
Secrets untold, yet
Looking for a light

Goals of the past
Become the future
Goals of the present
Lack the hope forever

Farewell

Before I left I waved farewell, goodbye
I saw the ocean and memorized the stars
Left to see the world, tried not to cry
I climbed a mountain and witnessed wars
Waved away that biggest lie
Farewell, meaning closing all open doors
Goodbye but I shall return, not die

Your Other Side

Too much fire, with the lies and your pain
Could bring death, life will slowly wane

Could the truth really quench the flame
Not quite saving your soul from blame

Not even crying could carry you
Whatever you say, whatever you do

Whatever love brings, life, your past
Innocence never quite did last

Innocence wading your guilt, the sea
But darkness exists, light is never free

Within the Cover

Spell bound itch
To write words
Unwritten magic
In graceful twirls
And reluctant hooks

But caught, sealed
From the freedom of flow
Until the swiftly forming,
Fantasy finally sprouts
Wings and takes flight

Unraveling the sheets
Magic cast in curled forms
But only the reader
With a vast imagination
can truly open the door

The door written, cast
Upon the covers and
Throughout the tome
That will guide someone
Into a land of unknown

To a land visioned
By the creator
To people and creatures
That dwell within
The covers of a book
