Colleen Laforme Poem
I have a cat
A real fat cat
My cat is all black
My black fat cat
It is a cat with a knack
A true fact about my cat
My fat black cat
She has a knack to catch a rat
My all black cat brought me the rat
This is why my cat is a fat black cat
So rats watch your back
From my cat with the knack
Or you will become a snack for my fat black cat

Colleen Laforme Poem
The ink drips from the pen placing the words in a line
Cherished moments written from a moment back in time
Pondering thoughts come one by one
Placing the story from where it begun
White satin gown and a neck of pearls
Long blond hair with sparse of curls
A netted veil eyes shaded in blues
Blue flowered bouquet and fine white shoes
Vows from the heart rings of gold
Another page written on the story told
At the alter her love awaits wearing colors of the same
Gracefully walking closer to except his name
A beautiful bride playing out her day of glory
As the ink drips from the pen to tell her story

Colleen Laforme Poem
To all you varmints
Who like to squeeze the Charmin's
I went to the grocery store one day
And someone had the Charmin's squeezing away
I said hey what are you doing that for
Like come on right in the store
She looked at me like i was spun
Like it was something i had ever done
So i gave a little squeeze to see how she liked it
Another women saw me and started having a fit
Hey she said don't do that
So your the culprit that makes the rolls flat
Well i was stunned so i said real fast
No she did it first i did it last
I was just trying to teach her a lesson you see
Squeezing the Charmin's that was the first time for me
Well now i had done it i was caught in the act
And i don't squeeze the Charmin's and that's a fact
She twisted my words upside down
Made me look like a total clown
There i was in the middle of a war
Right in the middle of the grocery store
The moral to the story is don't squeeze the Charmin's
Their is a lot of people looking for those varmints

Colleen Laforme Poem
Someone special sent me a rose today
Each rose was a word that touched me in many ways
It told me a story that showed me the most beautiful scene
Of faces of beauty and places i have never been
The words were whispers that called to me
And for that moment from my sorrows i was free
Each rose that fell told me that all beauty comes and goes
But to never forget their is always a new bloom of a rose
For if all this beauty can only be placed in your mind
You have not let all your true inner beauty shine
So to this special someone i thank you so much
For this rose you sent me my heart it truly touched

Colleen Laforme Poem
We have been friends for quite awhile
It started at hello followed by your smile
But your one time presence wasn't enough
So i tried again and you made it tough
So i left it alone i let it go
Now here i am just to let you know
I saw you again just the other day
I was lost for words but thats okay
I know were differant in many ways
I thought with a life time you thought with days
But all isn't lost a friendship was to gain
holding the time we had and the maybes that remain
All and all my friend i want you to know
You would loose me at goodbye because you had me at hello

Colleen Laforme Poem
I look outside to see your paw prints among the crystal snow
The perfect markings of your day of play until my friend you had to go
On the floor lays your ball and your new Christmas toys
The perfect markings left behind from my friend that brought me joy
In my heart is where i keep you to help me slowly mend
The eternal mark left behind from loosing my trusted friend

Colleen Laforme Poem
She laid upon a red satin cover
Beside her laid her grief stricken lover
His tears were silent as it was hard to discover
For his love had died in the arms of another
The music plays from the heavens that hover
The angels await to take them together

Colleen Laforme Poem
A lady bug sat on a a leaf one day
When a long came a centipede that asked her to play
No no i couldn't do that
Play with a centipede imagine that
What would flying bugs say seeing us together
They would laugh and laugh forever and ever
The little centipede was very upset
Being treated bad from everyone she met
Why don't i have friends do i look bad
hanging her head ever so sad
No said the lady bug your just differant to the eye
You don't have wings and cannot fly
Well you don't have lots of legs like i do
I have twenty you have two
Well said the lady bug you know that's true
Were not really differant me and you
Were both bugs that all humans call pests
Lets be friends in spite of the rest

Colleen Laforme Poem
I would bet a wager
That many can relate
For if they have teenagers
You may think you met your fate
Well let me tell you about mine
Sometimes they make me spin
Walk a really fine line
Cause most times i just cant win
Its not hard to put things away
You had no trouble taking it out
Clean it up i always say
i am sure you know what that's about
Its a death trap in there room
It doesnt bother them never the less
They just put that web cam on zoom
So all can see the mess
I try to make them see
That really cleaning isn't hard
And happier they would make me
But it slides over there head like lard

Colleen Laforme Poem
I don't know why it happened
It totally boggles my brain
I think my cat is loosing it i think shes going insane
I herd her meowing outside my back door
When i opened it she dropped a mouse on the deck floor
Why would i be boggled well to my surprise
This mouse wasn't dead it was very much alive
She looked at me like to say i brought this for you
Than she sauntered in to the house like she didn't know what to do
She laid out on the kitchen table like she was queen
Me still rubbing my head this is the strangest thing I've seen
I know she has shown sometimes she is not always smart
But never brought me a mouse that hasn't been ripped apart
I looked out my back door and that little mouse was gone
I looked at my cat and said now what the heck is wrong
Oh boy maybe killing that mouse would break my cats heart
Maybe when i wasn't looking my cat made a fresh start
Or maybe in that moment she felt she cared
Letting that little mouse go his life she spared
But really i cant imagine that
This is the same cat that brought me the rat
So here i sit with a boggled brain
wondering is my cat truly insane
