Joy of Life

Open the windows.
Open the doors.
Let the glorious sunshine in.
Remove the dust.
From the floors.

Listen, the birds are singing.
A happy, happy tune.
In April, May and June.
Live life to the full.
It's never dull.

Feel the vibrations.
And the thrill.
Over whelming you.
Stirring your soul.
Lifting you up.
To where you belong.
Begin the day with a song.

Life is wonderful and a joy.
It's there for you to enjoy.
To the country side.
And the sea., I go.
I hope to meet you there, you know..

I feel I want to shout out loud.
To thank, whoever made it so.
Made nature grow.
The sun to glow.
The flowers to bloom.
Come out of your lonely room.
I hope to see you soon.

The Poetess

There is a lady out there.
Who has stolen my heart.
Her poems have such insight.
They fill me with delight

Full of poignant thought.
Deep and true.
They catch my heart.
I am enthralled, by you.

I get a picture of you, every time.
Sitting there, making rhyme
Your every word.
Imprints my soul.
I read you. through and through.

What you write, is what you are.
Your thoughts, like a star,
I read you, like a book.
What you say, how you look.
Between the lines.
All the signs.

The Final Solution.

Thousands were selected.
In each country, hunted and arrested.
Hatred so extreme. Genocide the theme.
Mass extermination, old, young and sick.
Into the pit.
Sons and daughters, like your own.
Gassed and burnt, down to the bone.
Slaughter of a human race.
Because, a type of face.
Naked en mass, waiting for the gas.
What a way to die!
Unable to breath or cry.
Vomit, blood and gore.
They are no more.

Comments
I have had lots of feedback on this poem.
Mostly, they comment on Hitler being
the cause, I think that the whole German race
was responsible. The clouds of smoke from the ovens
covered all of Europe. The smell of burnt flesh was
everywhere. All of Germany combined to carry
out this enormous task.

You Went Away

Dearest beloved.
Light of my life.
Since we have parted.
I live in strife.

You did not say.
Why you went away.
Left me grieving.
Night and day.

There is no other.
Can there be.
To take your place.
As my family.

Your beauty.
Forever will be.
In my mind, eternally.

All the things.
You said and did.
Do they mean nothing.
Did you just kid?

How is it possible.
To love so.
And then, off you go.

Have you feelings?
Like I have for you.
I cannot live without you.
That is plain, to see.
Another chance.
Do I plea.

I Need You

I need you.
By my side.
To abide.
To fill the void.
Inside.

I need you.
To hold my hand.
To be near to you.
I want to stand.

I need you.
To say hello.
Good morning dear.
How do you do?
To dispel my fear.
Of being without you.

I need you.
For dancing, singing and play.
To make life a pleasure.
Every day.

I need you.
To fill my life.
To be my lover.
To be my wife.

My Poetess

To you. I dedicate this poem.
Sweet poetess across the sea.
I tag your name and underline.
All the feedback, that is mine

Your comments and suggestions.
Make my day.
I love them , to come my way.
To hear you say.
My poetry.
Made your day.

I will try to-night.
A happy poem to write.
Sometimes the Devil gets in.
Making my poems, grim.
I write with all my heart.
They are all truly.
Just for you.
.

My Boat

I am building a boat.
Full of dreams.
Glossy wood and caulked seams.
Figure head, sharp bow.
Cutting the waves, like a plough.
Generous beam, shaped like a dream.
Sheer, such beauty never seen.
The hull, like the female form.
Handles any storm.
Billowing white sails overhead.
Across the sky, around my head.
The wind, a driving force.
Keeping me on course.
Deck awash with foam and spray.
Seagulls screaming as they play.
Waves crashing on the shore.
With a mighty roar.
Hear the song of the sea.
It's calling me.

Comments.
I have always had a boat.
And love the sea.
I was in the British Royal Navy.
As a medic during WWar 2.
And also the Merchant Navy.
Sailed my yacht "Tango"
All over Europe.
This is the first boat I have built.
Made of ply and resin.
A kit from an American boat firm.
Which I can recommend.

The Son of God

The Son of God.

Are you the Son of God?
Do you wish to be?
To make heaven on earth.
For all to see.

Were you born to be.
The Son of God for eternity?
Do you live a sinless life?
Free from ties and strife.

Do you love all men?
Free from hate or greed.
Self sufficient and alone.
God is looking for the perfect one.
To be his Son.

When found with a mighty roar.
Great changes will occur.
Time and space will end.
Man will be as one.
For ever more.

A human link to God there will be.
Related, loved and close to He.
Rejoicing will fill the earth and sky.
Heaven on earth for you and I.

The Common Cold

Got a cough.
A weeze or too.
When I cough I spew.
Like as if my intestings .
Coming up too.

The Doc, bronchitis say.
Twenty smokes a day.
I must pay with a runny nose.
Temperature, I suppose.

Hot and cold.
My blood boils.
My feet like ice.
Not very nice.
The common cold.

The Good Samaritan

The Good Samaritan.

Give to him who has not.
If two coats you had.
Give one to the other lad.

If food you have, share.
The best to him.
Who is always there.

The poor are always with us.
The needy, down and out.
Give to them.
You go without.

Taking more than your need.
Is stealing, it will lead.
To others starving.
They also must feed.

Not only your next of kin.
The stranger, ask him in.
Have pity, see to his wants.
He is also a human being.

By turning away.
You condemn him to lay.
To lie down and die.
To cry and sigh.

To reject a plea.
To refuse your aid.
Is the same as killing, he said..

Look for ways to help the other man.
Give him freedom, do not ban.
Open up your stores.
Give to him your hordes.

Let it be known.
That you give, not loan.
Nothing expect in return.

You will gain your reward.
With peace of mind.
You will find.
Life is to help.
Those left behind.
