Draw a Line

DRAW A LINE
By: William S. Labtis

To draw a line there must be a justification
As to divide takes a distinction/ qualification from
Like a demarcation line - what is yours not mine
Just be this line drawn with eloquence and purpose
From post to post , so let it be known by parties
Legally : To Whom It May Concern and Presents
Must had been governed, generation to generation
It must have been a true right and a God given.

Drawing a line is a human act designed to be true
Is guided by a mighty hand, the Almighty
To make it fairly and squarely concrete
To everyone rich or poor served with dignity
Which one you stay or sign it must be in between
    a line______
So conspicuously known that parties abide
And no one would go wrong always the right
     with distinctness and direction
HELP US .OH LORD WITH THY HAND,
   HEART AND SOUL!

By not following this line nation against nation
encroaching/fighting
History has its toil like Germany divided into two
Berlins- West and East - the Iron Curtain
Fighting each other until lately issues contained
     becoming one nation
The Great Wall of China distinguishing
which one to Red China or Taiwan
But till now remarkably becoming two nations
the great wall exists and each one threatens
Foremost the wall thus establishing a line between them
So, nobody rule over the other despising who would reign
And peace at bay until where and when it shall end?

Today. social upheavals and inequities dominates
Political and economic imbalance are at stakes
Fight for survival even racial and religious differences
   are make-up questions
Money, fuels and nuclear arms sometimes are instruments
for supremacy - no amount of intercession
Bloodshed and collateral damages on both sides are on the rise
So long as who is strong and diplomatic ties sacrificed
New forms of like excessive power and power of the guns
Perpetuate themselves- this line drawn between
    is forgotten/ forsaken.

But now when everything left into pieces and barren
Perceiving a long serene silence to peace negotiation
After furious exchange of challenges never been experienced of all times
They’ve come exhaustingly to an agreement and a covenant
Drawing a line respecting their respective rights they demand

-2-

A line so solid so that universal understanding
Focused on world unity and mutual improvements and developments
At last for an everlasting peace after sought co-existence- Owing from DRAWN LINE.

Responsibility Or Gullibility

IN MODERATION
By: William S. Labtis

Anything….taken
in excess is wrong!
Physically, morally or legally!
What may cause or uncaused you
Un-ending indigestion, detestation
 protestation , exhaustion or exhumation!
After that condemnation…is a word of caution!

We may take it lightly or seriously
Everything of anything maybe precariously
Must be inconsideration always
To a safety-net should command
To seemingly good and blessedly
We must think twice and wisely
Look back for moderation as a demand.

Having dealt with in practice
Totally or wildly these earthly vices
Will surely become a backfire.
In any ground, workplace or perchance
Omit or commit, the end is indeed the measure
In battlefields, too much is an extreme
Nothing is lost than yourself alone.

Next, coming soon, live or let live
Everyday, every hour and every minute
Playfully, habitually, illegally or criminally
You may think the law dismiss or spare
What may be done uncommon or un-naturally
As the mean justify the end, automatically
As the best judgment…is moderation!

Partake and indulge
Why not! But have we considered
There are other lives who wanted to live
By themselves, with you ,however, never cared
So much we have taken advantaged of
Disheartened and engaged with and prejudiced
Nothing in exchange for moderation

The best of times.
May have leisurely come
Grasped handily, nevertheless, having done
Against the law of Heaven and man
Humanly physical. biological and environmental
    and material
But you have gone so far so fatal
Forgot moderation which could have been
    sweetly natural must prevail.

How Come, I Am a Dirt Or a Shock Absorber

HOW COME, I AM A DIRT OR
         A SHOCK ABSORBER!

Never mind the insult
That, for sure I am not
Though in bad light
I’m likened to a dirt
In a kitchen sink or toilet bath
Strained as it clogs the way adrift.

But unlike in a baseball game
Instead an opponent catches a ball from strike
The runner miss the 1st base
As the referee would consider a lost time
Competition turned over and done
No more to live by and compete.

But to me its not fair and just
As it is a bewilderment
Thereby….cannot accept
As the sly is without reason taints
To down grade to the most in a street
That the slight is never than a fist fight
            - below the belt.

Good when I am anatomized
Like a kidney in the body -make
A purifier in the system to filter waste
So as the blood line clear and cleanse
Leave you a day in good mode out of trouble
As that, a shock absorber , I could
          possibly be!

Pretty Tight

“Pretty Tight”

Fit
This should be right from start
Made and tailored
Make sure or no one else!
Whoever or wherever may threat
Everything is pretty tight.

Fact
This must be compact
Suit and secured
As there are nasty, sometime!
Dare try open or go against
Fight this who contempt.

But…
You have your sworn diligence
Security must rule
Challenge or then failure!
Be well in place with might
Follow the plan laid out.

Last or lost
No gas neither air leaked, or mist
Possibly clear and clean shaven
Feel nothing in conscience!
Just post to be constant
And to heart content.

A Turn of Event

A TURN OF EVENT

A sudden left
Or a sudden right
So abrupt
No, not a makeshift
But I’m assuming, a turn of event.

We never thought
Its like the Malaysian 370 flight
Its might
Yes, the effect
Would be consuming us through eternity.

We must look straight
A landscape or a hindsight
So passionate we must be dealt with
All lives go adrift
Exult though with dignity.

This Day of Judgment
Will come like a thief in the night
There’s no turning back, now repent
It will be an advent, the soonest
And no denying it is positive a mystery

More than ever….a magic - a TURN OF

                    EEVENT!

Uncommon

UNCOMMON
By: William S. Labtis

When would uncommon be a common?
Or vice versa, a common be an uncommon?

Common* as we know as those belonging
   to two or more;
Shared by all alike; one pertaining
to a community as a whole.
While conversely, uncommon as not
   belonging to two or more;
Unshared by all alike; and not pertaining
to a community as a whole.

How uncommon struck ; or at least attract anyone?
Compare what a common or uncommon be or
   not be?

Judgment may not sound good but for common all
    -as common sense. Yes
Indifference may not want be different but for all sakes
    -as common stand. Yes
Distinguishable may not be distinguished but recognizable
   -as common interest. Yes
For everything, anyhow, there could be a ground -
     -as common decision/base, Yes
So, that it ends up a joint agreement and acceptable -
    -as commonality. Yes

Thus, would a common sense always a good judgment?
Indifference , becomes distinguishable or agreeable?

As pre arranged meeting be successful not in somewhere
   but specifically in a common place;
As when one or everyone would arrived anytime but
   since it’s for good a common time;
Don’t be acting in distance and yet responsive
but merely become only a spectator
And least known become unknown or unknown become
    known
Could there be a law or an order to make both flawless
    and understandable.

Is uncommon always prejudged? That upon short notice
Always selected from common? Or vice versa?

*Common’s meaning,,pls refer to Webster Dictionary

What Makes a Difference

WHAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

I am black You are black What makes them different? I am white You are white What makes them different? Concerned, others not! Today, a black President Tomorrow another black President Since when a black or white President? Every time a black is gone, we make it different! Every other time a white is gone, what makes it different? Its somehow an incident or an incidence…..too soon a Demo..crazy! Does it affect or infect? I believe, we, are making the difference! Different - accident: accident - incident: What make us free? It makes, its done! What would you mean a black, a white or else? Black is black and white is white. Other else even matters! But no one is perfect. Do we make our imperfections? No, nonsense but yes, also a nonsense Make it matter, terrorize who or point out! A collateral damage: Need a “risk management!” Am I God……are you God ??? HOPE, LOVE AND PEACE ON EARTH Make it happen…now and forever A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!

Underneath An Armpit

UNDERNEATH AN ARMPIT

WHO IS IT? IS IT A TEST?
I DON’T WANNA THINK
I AM OR YOU ARE, ARE OR AREN’T?
GUESS WHO OR WHAT!
A MAN…A HUSBAND!
WHO CARES…BUT HE CARES!

JUST A MERE EXERCISE
NOT IN THE PROCESS AN EXORCISM
OF ALL THE MEN, A GENTLEMAN
A MILITARY OFFICER, A COLONEL
     A GENERAL, A PRESIDENT
MORE THAN EVER, A LAPSE
DOMESTICALLY OR MAYBE DOMINATED.

DON’T BE FAST
NOR IN AN ARM LENGTH
THIS GENTLEMANLY ACT. NOW IS IT
SEEMED DIMINISHING OR FADING HASTILY
AGAIN I DON’T WANNA JUDGED WITH RESPECT
FOR SOME REASON THOUGH AGHAST.

GIVE THEM A FAIR ASSESSMENT
THOUGH THERE ARE REALLY THAT
SOFT MANNERED AND SOCIAL DISCOMFORT
BUT FOR SOME EXCUSES I KNOW IT ISN’T
RATHER BE A BLESSING IN DISGUISE
AS VERY UNDERSTANDING, BETTER THINK WISE
                OR TWICE

THIS MAN IS GOD’S WILLINGLY A BET TO BIT
A BUTTERFLY, A GAY OR A HOMO BUT, NO, NOT
I BELIEVE THERE IS AN INNER TRAIT
PASS IT BUT DO NOT CONDEMN IT
FOR HEAVENLY THE TRUTH
THIS MAN TRULY “ LOVES YOU”, QUOTE,
     AND UNQUOTE!
