Roger Jordan Poem
At the apex of the world which was where I was created
In the cosmos, I fought for love……..butt naked
I’ve gone where time was only known by the beat of our hearts
And brothas wonder what’ s the difference between a queef and a fart?........
Both are products or results of compression of air pressure
But that isn’t the subject matter back to fighting for pleasure
As I reminisced about the death of old school love gestures,
Significant first kisses by un-ghetto named individuals like Diana and Lester,
Taps on the window, the courting and dancing, being soaked to your draws in the rain
Then the romancing……..
They invested in chivalry and called sex emotion
We like no glove mo love! Where the oil and the lotion!
Don’t flinch on me people.
I’m fighting for this intimacy with more consistency
I love unlocking couchie with the key
Never B&E, but sometimes down the chimney
They say “santa give me presents. would you put a baby into me. Ho ho. Maybe?
I ran naked, hanging, past the end of the world
Checked all they ID cause women look just like little girls
When the haters say “don’t listen to em he’s a smooth talka!”
I took my thang and with a swang KO’d the cockblocka
I fought with the might of a thousand men
And the endurance to take on all the freaky women
It was heaven in a dream the first time I saw her
I fought her mind body and soul until she hollered
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! And into her I was swallowed……
We stalk each other so both of us was being followed
Cause we didn’t ever wanna feel hollowed………
At the apex of the world which was where we were created
In the cosmos we fought for love……butt naked

Roger Jordan Poem
Look at them, tangled in insignificant conversation
about politics or stereotypes of blacks, whites and Asians,
lack of youth education, weather ruined vacations, how inflation squeezing their arm like “yo, I got you taken,
and how fuel became a bill from the money that we are making.
They sacrifice the savings to keep a standard of living.
I hear then talking about their lovers lack of love that they are giving
I say communicate or leave because time is steady ticking
Look at them
Buying expensive rims, and high fashion clothes with sneakers, lugz, and tims. Inside I soul spy like
magnified mri’s an imaginary field force of selfishness and pride.
Careless if they fetus die, cry internal cause maternal really means giving up a lot.
They sacrifice the club shot for shot life and dreams and the scene of kings and queens all decken together…
and their business is each others infused for forever playing tether with the ball of a pendulum. Uncovered
are their memories of covers and words they’ve past uttered…it is just another case of lack of patience
Like gimme good but hold the impregnation. Bright futures still there steady waitin
Look at them
Thinking they can plan their lives, brake the rules of the beehive that ran their lives, make a little honey to
expand their lives, then forget they folk turn around forget they wives.
See she lost her heart and he aint got no eyes but in such a dark world that man is king.’
Look at her flaunting that ring then pawning that ring because all that mattered was a shiny thing. Not the
signs
Look at them tryna rewind. Relight the spark that wouldn’t stay the last 20 times
It should be a crime to try to live back there. Yo people do change but change is rare
They put it all on retail so it can be re-teared
All the hurt made them cold so they don’t care
Blinded by the glare, and the lights and such
Look at them! Don’t they know they done sold too much?
In for a short time touch instead of long term goals
People drive through they souls without no tolls
All control each other’s minds fueled hearts by coal
So hard, so swoll, so invincible is external
Look at them bout to blow so internal
Would you look at them actually living
My observations vicarious as information I’m giving
Look at me all input but no answer
All I am is input but not the answer

Roger Jordan Poem
I see spectrums of contrast
Spectacular complements
of pulsar blast
Rose fields that last and last
Beauty not even fiction can
surpass
Dark eclipses elipt a cast
Freezing nights and warm grasps
Present past and future laughs
Rickashading smiles with only
One path
I see a universe in one
Where you are my sun
and meteors go on forever
As do the darkness of your eyes
As I explore you, each day's like
catching butterflies
The vastness of you has me mesmorized

Roger Jordan Poem
I would rather be a statistic!
My little girl is my world, my star and my universe
distant from the unbearable quasar which is her mother
I cannot describe her while maintaining homeostasis or my positive energy
Vulgar clouds are storms
My terminology is so derogatory without intent
See I was made of sand
Almost every grain of me poured through her hands that which I am
A man holding an idea, a wish called love
We are two schizophrenics
I indulge in internal conversations and she locks herself in a state of paranoia and alarm
which dissolves my dreams
It is not right
I would rather be a statistic
Put me in a category!
All you know are bits and pieces of my gory story
On the cliff of an edge holding on to together
Call me fool, naive, young for investing in forever
Till the emotional bank told me insufficient funds, I tried to hustle cause I needed just one
more one
From heaven he says, "Money cannot fix it son."
I asked god, "How come? It is true where I'm from."
As a child, I grew up... believing that if a man worked hard enough he could change his
situation. I never wanted all the stuff
I had it rough and statistically predictably it interest me that I have to be unhappily faking in
this society.
Call me statistic, baby daddy, but never rogue father
It still will not faze me. I am here for my daughter

Roger Jordan Poem
You have the common serenity
to make me silent
and the glance to fool the moonlight eyes
on my face
Filled foolish and with love
so powerfully elite
that one will last a lfetime
and as I look back I think...
Two shall last forever

Roger Jordan Poem
Let us talk as people
The normal ones with fallacies and tendencies of imperfection
Let us talk as people who don't always have the patience of love
Let us walk against the wind blowing to the past and push stubberness and pride
Let us catch the pushed and shoved and dry the cries of our souls that die inside
Let us share the same page, not watch the incineration caused by segregation with rage and
omission of contemplation that we are humans...with feelings
Let us commence the healing and spilling of self
See our ways are ones of many and we all need help
Let us break the cold of ice and melt the attitudes for survival
The inside is what matters
We can learn from the bible because their lives are like our lives
There are mistakes to be made
Let us die to forgive and delete instead of keeping it saved

Roger Jordan Poem
Smooth Ways
I put women on layaway... Hey!
it dosen't cost a cent to toss so love your mcdonald tray.
Go ahead, want it all
I wont crush your dreams big or small
rather brake up then to fall shameful you all are wasting those numerous calls
Chances of you knowing me,I am not concerned
Fast forward past a toss or turn because tin man burned his heart
follow the road to the red bricked apartment
Women cook the food never opened in my kitchen and I eat while they stay starvin'
Call it dedication
I'm testin patience
Seeing if they can stay wastin' away and psychologically,Your paying for what one girl did one day
Yeah her name was carry
I find engagement scary The populations too vast
I can travel through januarys, februarys, and decembers drinking bloody marys cause they help me not remember
I drink to you and the things we do
I'm down with the bacardi
Breakfast in the morning please
the vending machines in the lobby!
Them jokers tryna' rob me
Dont think that I don't care
I cared enough to use my lines and I might keep you here
To vibe with me, ride with me, in my rent-a-car
As long as you drive a girl
They dont care who you really are
I'm the star that stole your wish
You kiss like your breaking a spell,Ha!
stop waitin'
These thoughts test my patience
I am rapture chicken in grease
You young women lack education
Hungry, parched, starvin', every heart beat fuels no elation

Roger Jordan Poem
Dumb eyes wont stop crying
The weakest part is my heart
Pumping steady dying
Drop
Dumb sissy fever
In rational of my brain
Analysis will leave ya
With drops
My clock ticks time distorted
Eve percieves deceptive portraits
and I'm steady dying damn these
dumb eyes wont stop crying

Roger Jordan Poem
Angry dishes threw skies to floor
Shatter and crack as times before
Caught in the screamin and slamming of door
Cross in the yelling so many ignore
So hard to catch the tears that pour
Pockets still rich but love is poor
Be in the mood you hate so much
Fragile heart but hard to touch

Roger Jordan Poem
Hopeless, it seemed we were doomed at first
thought we were destined for the worst
Argue at times we'd bicker and burst
Break into pieces and shatter disperse
You go your way and I'll go mine
Still we're walking the same old line
Sorry the words are hard to find
I wish the times would just rewind
As hopeless we seem from beginning to end
Yes we will stumble again and again
But look at our future of hopeless and more
We're not so hopeless as I thought once before
