Autumn

Delicate sunlight
breaks through the autumn tree leaves
begins a new day.

That Old Barn

Shattered sunlight
mason jars
rafters hidden in night
walls leaning from past wars?
Weathered wood
hiding secrets
what would you say, if you could?
But I have seen nothing yet!
Vines climbing
the rusty tin roof
but your not minding
as bluebirds sing, very aloof
your ghost is all that remains
barely standing in the forest rubble
I would love to see more, but I felt a drop of rain
and your dirt floor will surely puddle.

Raindrops

Rain, slowly falling
but while inside, pure, cold drops
bring to life the dusk.

Heart of the Sea

Your quiet whispers
come with the breeze
are you missing her?
Your sorrow spans the seas

The waves lapping at your soul
trying to pull yours close to hers
but your body won't let you go
why did you lose her? The Ocean's Curse...

Her heart belongs to the sea
her spirit lost to its depths
heavy reality brings you to your knee
the calm waters mocking her death

Singing Shadows

Bright, cloudless sunlight
shines down on forest bound lake
while the shadows sing.

Sunrise, Sunset

sunrise, sunset
dawn and dusk
a starry net
visible, but only just
ruby- orange
fades to blue
begins to change
right on cue
dawn begins
yesterday is the past
dusk ends
reminds us that it never lasts

The Rose

In a meadow encompassed by death
a solitary rose blooms
the only one left
turned silver by the moon

After the sun begins to rise
the morning glistening with dew
the ruby petals break their ties
its departure darkening the worldly view

Past and Present

Look into my eyes
as the void is bent
and our silent goodbyes
becomes past and present
I don't want this moment to end
but the darkness begins to envelop us
a wound no bandage can mend
and all existence becomes dust.

Winter

An icy wind blows
rattling the skeleton trees
singing a hollow song of woes
animals sleeping where no one sees

the sun is gone
the full moon shining
existence chilled to the bone
a single snowflake falls from the black sky lining

I Gave You All My Love

I gave you all my love
all you did was cause me pain
I never thought I could rise above
or ever feel the same again.

I was always by your side
but you always turned to someone else
I thought my soul was petrified
but with his every smile it continuously melts.

I couldn't sleep from my grief
all of my hopes were so dim
Now he gives my spirit relief
and I am happy thinking of him.

Your unrequited affection
only beat me to the ground
But he's sweeter than a confection
and he's never going to bring me down!
