Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
I posed up and took
a good long look,
Darn it seemed so
warm that nook.
Eased forward slowly
lining up carefully,
Scared of doing
damage, I entered
warily.
Slipped in slowly as
things got a bit
wet,
Took my time, sizing
up the tightness,
Backed up a bit in
my timid
nervousness.
Proceeded on in now
as it seemed huge,
Squeezed in as the
wetness became a
deluge.
Went in deep to the
welcoming warmness,
Opened the door to
such sweet hotness.
One foot on the
floor as I leaned
over the back,
Jammed my fingers
thru the wired
racks,
Pressed all the
right buttons no
real stress,
Damn garage door was
stuck open to my
distress.

Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
As I wake to the
sounds of Robins in
the Thicket
I lift myself out of
bed, morning coffee
the ticket.
Breakfast defrosted
in microwave, toast?
a slice,
Shower and head off
to work, weather so
nice.
On the bus so many
frowns, Mondays have
no joy,
This kid gets on
Yo-Yo in hand, this
so old toy.
He beams at me ,
smile so happy and
bright,
" Look at what my
Gramps gave me last
night!"
I smile back at him
and say
"Great..Splendid."
He attempts to do a
roll and return, so
horrid.
Let me show you I
said, took the
string and rolled,
My youth came
flooding back in
waves, I tooled.
Walk the dog,
Sleeper, Breakaway,
all in the bag,
Then Elevator ,
Spaghetti and
Jamaican Flag.
Handed The toy back
and got off, at my
place
Heard a Noise turned
to see smiles on
each face.
Bravo, hurrah, the
screams, breaking
into applause.
I Bowed and bounced
off to work..
smiles..I the cause.

Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
You entered the
room, we spoke a
while,
Your eyes spoke
volumes, a gentle
soul.
A compatriot to
spend time with,
The prospects seemed
so bright to me.
Laughed at observed
funny moments,
Smiled when our eyes
found each others'.
Then the news came
on, I gave my
opinion,
Not so you
interjected, you had
your say.
Stuck to my
rationale, years in
the making,
You got irate
stating your learned
points.
Why oh why did we
not agree to
disagree,
Off you stormed
muttering under your
breath.
There I stood,
mumbling to myself,
Naught to show but a
deferred friendship!

Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
Who be you? To decide who is
worthy?
Who is to be chosen by the master?
Who shall ascend to the halls of
purity?
Who says that only your faith is
worthy?
Who gave man the power to chose?
Are there not many good folks
aplenty?
Christian, Muslim, Buddhist,
Scientologist?
Are there not good of heart among
all?
Christian soldiers above Buddhist
monks?
Who is right and who is wrong this
day?
All have scrolls that men did write!
But where is the scroll with God's
signature?
His verses are written in the heart!
God writes verses daily in the minds
of men!
Not on paper, but in your thoughts!
His is the voice that implores you to
right!
His is the nagging voice when you
do wrong!
Worship in your hallowed temples
cheerily!
But disparage not he who worships
in his mind!
For God hears all prayers no matter
the source!
Rich or poor....we are all his children!
He makes no distinction between
faith!
For in your heart he resides and sees
all!
His Love knows no barriers of faith!
His love sets none apart, be of good
cheer!
God sees the heart and that is the
final say!

Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
Love Is as strong as
the Mountains
standing
Majestically,
Love Flows like the
stream constant and
determinedly.
Love is as the Blue
skies, beautiful and
Breathtaking,
Love is an Emotion,
embedded in us, of
God's making.
Love is as free as
the birds that soar
in free flight,
Love is a force that
is overpowering full
of might.
Love is what I shall
give to you ever
growing,
Love is what we will
share constantly
flowering.

Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
Friend of mine, a
gift from God, warm
and comforting,
Friend of mine,
always there to
soothe my fretting,
Friend of mine, you
keep me grounded in
Jesus,
Friend of mine,
always happy to make
time for us.
Friend of mine, you
have always been the
for me,
Friend of mine, I
know our friendship
will always be.
Friend of mine, when
sad you make me
smile,
Friend of mine, you
always go that extra
mile.
Friend of mine, our
love will be for all
eternity,
Friend of mine, we
have such a
beautiful
fraternity.

Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
On a drive thru Mandeville one fall,
My Dad stopped at a roadside stall.
He bought red shrimp in bags of
paper,
The aroma was the scent of shrimp
and pepper.
Baked so well, there was no need to
shell,
Popped one into my mouth, my Jaw
fell.
Fire in the hole I yelled, as my sis
snickered,
She bit into hers with gusto, she was
not bothered.
My Mom,prepared, handed me a
bottle of milk,
Took two sips to quench the flame
from peppers ilk.
As bad as it burnt, that shrimp was
so tasty,
Bit into another again and again milk
now less hasty.
An acquired taste this was, this
explosion,
Of seasoned pepper and shrimp so
delightful,
Before I knew it I had munched
through my bag all full.
Tears in my eyes, pepper had my
tongue wrapped,
Reached for my sis's bag, only to
have knuckles rapped.
Now with none to munch, it truly set
in my colon,
Fire below was my scream, looking
forlorn.
Lactose intolerant, milk and pepper
shrimp?
Relief stop in the bush, rectum in full
crimp.

Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
Lady you are my
life, my closest
dearest girl.
You complete me,
you're my precious
pearl.
Your loving eyes,
smooth my rough
edges.
To you I give my
heart, my love
pledges.
In your arms, I find
sweet warm solace.
Your love gives me
rest, from the rat
race.
You hold me close,
then whisper in my
ear.
Tender words that
soothe, relax my
soul all year.
Would that to you, I
could give untold
riches.
To you the best
garments, with the
fanciest stitches.
I would buy for you
dearest , the
shiniest sleekest
car,
Gifts sent for you
every day, cause
you're a superstar.
No other ever could
hope to match you,
no comparison.
You are my fortress,
my castle, my strong
garrison.
Yet you say "Phew"
to all these things,
"You needn't
bother."
My great love, you
are indeed the
perfect MOTHER.

Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
Ensnared
I have traveled far
and wide,
In search of a sweet
succulent nectar.
To have found you
I'm filled with
pride,
Your luscious aroma
has raised the bar.
No other flower will
ever come close,
Your taste is truly
a great aphrodisiac.
I tarry a long while
to enjoy the dose,
With each whiff
memory fades I'm
amnesiac.
Thy whiles has me
under your spell,
For you I have sworn
off all other
pleasures.
I sit with you thru
trial and thrill,
In you I have
procured the
greatest treasure.

Carl (Pontiak) Chong Poem
From that fateful
first day we crossed
paths,
I have dreamed of
us sharing numerous
baths.
Fantasized how we
would entwine our
bodies,
As we danced to
passion's drums...
no studies.
Books and lessons we
have abandoned,
Our love all that
matters, though
unsanctioned.
Our families blood
feud precludes our
love flowering,
The ground stained
forever from
bloodletting.
Forbidden though it
may be, it grows
defiantly,
Stronger with each
bloody sunset.. so
passionately.
Come.. my love my
desire..let's take
flight,
For our child's
future we must
escape our plight.
Love...not hate we
must to our child
impart,
For to us God has
gifted his wondrous
work of art.
