Only Ever With You

O N L Y E V E R W I T H Y O U Only ever with you, I love to have and hold into the circle of your arms, I'll unfold; into your blue eyes' greeting shine, my gold; only ever with you, I yearn to grow old... Only ever with you I can write rhymes as such for you bring my muse from dust to dash, to hush Only ever with you my being wants to attach as first step already taken to our primrose path Only ever with you, tips dance linger to cherry lips Slow summer hands will roam vast to wonderland Whence pearl white peel smooches chocolate skin only ever with you, heartbeats climbs a boiling point Stars and moon may leave the dark skies yet, one look at the gleam of your blue eyes day and night, I see the rising sunrise. Only ever with you, I will dive to lows or heights for only ever with you, I'll plunge to infinity. Prayers plea asking blessings from Divinity to tie two hearts and two souls in sole unity. Mindless to whatever is there in humanity Only ever with you... _______________________________________________ POEM OF THE DAY -- February 27, 2015 ©O. E. Guillermo 5:32 pm, February 26, 2015

Longing For Father's Love

I am not a father
nor I am a mother
I am just a daughter
that is growing better...

Father, you have been away
I truly wish you have stayed
Hugging me as I lay
I don't need much penny...

All I have been missing
is you my daddy
Your love and your real company...

Look, how I am now
I pursued my little vow
Hoping always, You'll be proud
It's alright if you'll not be loud...

All I want is for us to bond...

Yes, I am neither a kid nor a child
Ever anymore
But still, there is that longing
I cannot deny...

I miss you much, daddy...

Liberty of Expression Is Here

Why I am here in Poetrysoup?

I like a seed carelessly thrown
upon dirty solid black, brown rocks,
I strive, thrived to grow
despite big rough blocks..

words... phrases... sentences...
They are screaming to be released
or climbing to burst in climax seize
or if not drifting upon crinkled seas

but how can I?
When will I?
If within
minute by minute
salty prints roll down my cheeks
caused by bitter-lava of emotions.

Heart is in state of stroke:
my mouth now mute
my lips lethargic to speak
yet my fingers found the head of a captain:

  wandering, wandering
  'til a shoreline glistens
  in the name of hope

Pressed. Pushed,
I puddle anew the currents,
nothing but my desire to share;
to live, to be happy, to be healed,
to pour safely  fears, frustrations;
trials, dreams that I always pray.

Stabbed from behind,
bang and troubled by shark sharp words,
the powerhouse I built
slowly, slowly fell to short.

Curiosity ignited my interest,
I attempt to pass a five stanza rhyme verse
eyes shut, ears closed to comments.
Not long,
sleeping poems from my head popped,
they escaped

  teasing and tickling,
  unafraid, I bite every challenge
  swimming, soaking, diving deep.

Seven months until I taste glory
excitement crawl and peak
nervous yet I...

   I clamor to learn,
   I clamor to move on,
   I clamor to sing,
   I clamor to run,
   I clamor to fly,
   I clamor to soar

from the bluest ocean to darkest clouds,
from lair of lilacs to fruitless air,
from reality to ecstatic speech of fantasy
with pinching memories of past rejections, lost love

I hide behind the mask of metaphors
   I tease torrid with personification,
   I sassy seduce using alliteration
I heighten arousal with my pose, my muse
I recite in my own right the rhymes of my soul

Ring! Ring! Ring
allow my poetry be the bells
clanging blues echoing hues containing feelings.
Permit the tinkles permeate,
impregnate your thoughts.
Freedom of expression,
this you and I yearn.

Here in Poetrysoup liberty, I did earn!

Supporters, friends, challengers, lover I gained
yet these I never ask. I never expect.
They landed softly to my open palms,
I accepted. I treasure them.

Finally, my congested suffering heart
today, beats systematically:

   gratitude, I can only inhale
   smile, I can only show
   prayers, I can only blow...

I know,
respect, peace and order we all want.
Your verses and so is mine will be of powder rust, dust
but am humbled to be connected.
Pages I will leave here are my immortalized sentiments,
I do believe not all may agree because...

   Each one is unique
   Each one has a style

To the Flower

TO THE FLOWER Your scent beckoned my weeping heart to painless flight; amidst a garden where God dusts His pretty love. Spring tints are pure and fragrant, free of guilt Your hues painted another sunrise for my eyes; when once I failed to catch the pledge of morn. A seed of hope was born to white petals blush. Though there are silhouettes of bitter yesterdays must all the phantoms of illusions fade and leave...? Your floating aroma stirred and shot my nerves; inspiring a nightingale to sing some joyous laments; It swayed with grace to dance on wind's despotic beat. among the rustling leaves which hug the earth below; So like the sun, which from distant horizon smiles; it roused the sleepy world to begin the pen of baby prose. The unfolding mystery of your petals brought my bewildered mind to peacock's reflection. Alas! All was transient. These eyes probe beneath but were blinded by the intrusion of some stray shine; Ambitions which from afar are building sprout; t'is that which let this self to irksome doubt. Lovely blossom of the wild, this sojourner nigh to tame your perfume's sweet stinging scent. A restless soul by some wicked, destiny pokes; someone called--- but pity, I couldn't tell a note. If by magic, a butterfly I could become; Let it be over my being slowly span. Then with you (though the specters in our midst are fierce), I could jet fly though miseries without fear. But am just a mortal of faith that blows this wish for only covenants call for my journey still? I cannot be forever the one who would share your sweetness; (Harken, fairies of blooms, this wilderness is not my lair.) I shall not want to witness you wilt as no time left to stay. Never again will you see me at day-break's bloom, save something special for others to experience you. This fleeting apparition I so adored; promised me burgeoning petals. "Be not afraid as seasons change, beyond today, I won't be here to see that no harm be done with all intentions to your sacred charm. As today, I leave you to Mother's Nature tender care, for I must go to some greater musing-- heaven's ground. Wilt not, as soon the rain will dash, refreshing you my dear. If I return someday-- will your sublime scent still be here?" __________________________________________________________ Your Best Poem - Poetry Contest Sponsor Shadow Hamilton ~~3rd place~~ Free Verse, Prose Poetry, haibun - Poetry Contest Sponsor Debbie Guzzi ~~2nd Place~~ POEM OF THE DAY: October 21, 2015 Inspired by Susan Seddon Boulet's painting: -----http://media-cache-cd0.pinimg.com/236x/1d/c4/37/1dc437f88c0cfb2fbcc9333bd35bb8c3.jpg ©Olive Eloisa Guillermo October 20, 2014, 10:19 pm

Workshop Poem: Grand Tour To Fairyland

WORKSHOP POEM: GRAND TOUR TO FAIRYLAND Sprinkled-rainbow clouds reign above the skies, peeping yellow in-between wrinkled pillars shine like bulbs to crash the net of fog attached to curve hands of green Cathedrals. A carpet of bluebells and daffodils covers the earth below. Creeping slow are mosses and vines hugging the trees. Polka dots of blood rich roses stand out. Festoons of lavanders, garlands of lilacs marched a primrose path for the queen while the fruits from cherries' hush blush; to peaches supple flair winks on mellow pear. Afloat midair are high and low golden notes trembling free upon river runs and bushes land. Snaps and bounds from strums of bumblebees; signal the nightingales to sing their anthem loud; Their thumps of dulcet-sounds shake the hours. Scents pure as Spring May cocoons the fair while all around swirls the dragonflies-- the star dancers of the sun-kissed day. Rushing wind whistles a lullaby to cast a spell of never-never-land, for there live... thumb-size flying creatures of their kind. Regal in blinding white are the fays and fairies. __________________________________________________ NEW TITLE: MY TRIP TO FAIRYLAND Rainbow-sprinkled clouds marching above the skies, Sun's golden rays peek in-between curved hands of lush green Cathedrals crashing the net of fog sleeping on the ground. A carpet of bluebells plus flashing violets exhale scents on the air. Sly-like mosses and vines hug the trunk of trees. Polka dots of blood rich roses pose, standing grand. Festoons of lavanders, garland of lilacs, swelling banana blossoms, cherries hush-rush blushes with peaches winking flair on frowning pears all prod to honor the queen. High and low golden notes tremble free upon river runs to proud bushes land. From strums of bumblebees are leaps and pounds, luring nightingales'anthem on a merry-dancing groove. Thumps of dulcet-sounds shake the passing hours, Rainbow hues cocoons the fair while all around dragonflies twirl and dive- they, the star-dancers of that sun kissed day. Impressed wind whistles the lullaby spelling never-never-land, for there... there live.. thumb-size flying creatures regal in blinding white-- are the fays and fairies. ______________________________________________ POEM OF THE DAY ---April 07, 2015 ©O.E> Guillermo 9:52 pm, April 05, 2015

You Are God and I Have To Believe

YOU ARE GOD and I HAVE TO BELIEVE My dear Father God above the heavens high ever loving and ever faithful in loving me even though, I am being sinful, stubborn, and disobedient to follow Your call and will... I am really sorry for the times I failed but I surely want to ask, how do I know if the decisions I am pursuing are Your will? How do I know that amidst deafening silence it is Your resilient but gentle voice I am hearing? It's long while now that I was taught to pray but to Your eyes, are my prayers correct? Are you really listening intently to them? Why at times You only answer me when all are black, when all my plans are disrupted, unruly and crooked? Why at times You are letting me wait, for hours, days, weeks, months and even the length of a lifetime? I humbly want to thank You for the roof o'er my head, the food I am able to eat and enjoy in every meal, the trials and tests You and I joined to pass, the steady beating of my heart telling me: I'm alive. I adore You, each breath that passes from my lungs, I want to thank You, honor You, praise and glorify You but how do I know that I am doing these alright? Is it enough that I simply attend a Church service? And there I reply amen, sing or shout Your Holy Name? Or I do better by loving sincerely other people? I, sharing in loving- kindness the blessings You abundantly are raining down in my life... Do I brush a smile or a laughter to Your cheeks when I give alms to the poor? Or more when I offer freely and wholeheartedly a hug, an embrace, an ear my time to someone who is afraid, lost, sick or sad? Or most of my deeds result to I painting often a frown on You? Or worse I pierce Your big, big heart when I don't even recognize Your goodness to me. Oh forgive me, forgive me please Father God... Scientists, religious persons and even my parents have described You to me but when O when, when will I ever have that chance to behold Your face? When will I have some minutes to hold or touch You? My heart and my spirit longs of Your gracious presence, of Your awesome essence. I am overwhelmingly blessed when in my everyday I am treated by others fairly. but-- are they the signs that will whisper: You are always with me? From the perfumed air of budding roses or ripened fruits to drumbeats of rain and prickly strikes of the sun are they the ones You want me to feel, smell, and see `cause they speak the beauty and love You have for me? I believe and love You my Almighty Father God but is this enough for me to be saved after death? My being is happy that You came and spelled freedom and into my own hands lies the crucial choice to either believe You or not. . . ___________________________________________________________ CONTEST NAME: ARE YOU THERE GOD Contest Sponsor: Silent One ~~3rd Place~~ but to God be the Highest Glory! ~~POEM OF THE DAY - October 15, 2015~~ but to God be the Highest glory! I Think Therefore I Am

I THINK THEREFORE I AM "An ounce of hypocrisy is worth a pound of ambition" --Michael Korda Liberty... This everyone's want-- stretching an autonomy to unbuckle self-discovery I got mites and bugs living in my head-- infesting my mind. They... daring a chance to worm my guts and electrify my peace. They adulterate seeking ways to emerge from claws of doubts to grains of trust. My veil of grace they bite and bite devouring me 'til I set to pursue my act. Should I repulse... then spread my wings to fly? or should I be a little puppet-- controlled, slave to strings attached to me? or I'd rather choose a mask-- my gamble to earn sympathy or popularity; my weapon sheltering my luck; my fall or my win? Cogito ergo sum. I think, therefore I am. The mites and bugs in my skull blown from shocks infused by my firing drive. My cavalry of Modesty, brave to rise face the furnace of battlegrounds. Insincerity. Malingering. Pretension are artillaries luring hypocrisy but love, honesty and bravery: the bombs I defy to conquer the trades. If God is with me, who can be against me? Standing like a Molave rooted evergreen, ever strong. My face bulletproof to those who I believe wrong. A standing soldier ready to offer her life to fraud and tyranny. I refuse to be fed on standing lies. The harpoons of verity, I battling dart, raining towards the barbaric boxes as they... They are my lioness roar, my freedom and my soar piercing the pumping heart of those who eat innocence, I... dauntless! _________________________________________________ ** I think therefore I am is said by Rene Descartes Romans 8:31-- If God is with us, who can be against us? Finding God

FINDING GOD My hungry heart and thirsty soul yearns for refill... Darkness and light roll then turn me up and down. Laughter and cries conjure caress my being in shrill. Gaping aghast to running rush caused a run-down! Yet, You my God comforted me 'neath water tides try. In trials and confusion, Your Sovereign a rock still. To shaky hope and weakness, Your grace empowers my will. The wilderness brings forth spring when I found yea... Hearing the sweetness of your voice in silence unfolds truth - healing wells of pains and woes... Heaven's breath by blossoms smell brought no shyness of searching... finding... knowing You more and more... Stars and moon shine along with my life's lamp shall bow in praise and worship, the deepest reverence I can offer. Thanking you until my life is done, my forever vow. As finding You, my God within labyrinths sets order... (c)Olive Eloisa 4:11am August 10. 2013 FIRST PLACE, GLORY TO GOD!!! In the Meadows Is My Dream

IN THE MEADOWS IS MY DREAM Strolling, strolling we are in the meadow: airy and green where asters, dahlias, nod and wink passing their green With him by my side, the hours of dread and fear are gone His blue eyes speak: "we're a match in heaven, always green" Dandelion heads float like little parachutes while we walk, he spinning me round and round in the carpet of golds and green Eyes to eyes meet, no more words from A to Z, we need not speak for our heartbeats duet in vibrato of love so evergreen Afar we hear thumps of small feet and some thunder laughs, He and I turn round we behold our kids innocent and green Father God-- the author of love along blue feathers and yellow smile is watching over us in that vast green... _________________________________________________________________ 8:40 pm , April 24, 2015

Stars Light, They Shine Bright

STARS LIGHT, THEY SHINE BRIGHT Glowing gems that dress the night, I yearn to know your brightness art blinking quick, blinking slow my running thoughts you make them go... From arid desert to distant worlds, stars white shimmer a wordless speech: their wink--a gift of hope to travelers who dare tread the darkest steep. In my arms, I have one little star so mild, so child, my antidote to fear twinkle in her eyes, my happiest tear years ebb my star bloom to a big star I clap loud for my star scintillates from afar Amidst terrors strike, she, standing still her Venus light shining in the flight of years. She soft-hearted despite some limiting steel My star swim, swim to life's stream 'til pass a tide, she found her hearts' star One day he said: "she is his dearest" so eighth of February, they breath their vows Soon, after a year, my before little star now cradles her own baby star. Her eyes so deep, her grin so sweet, our little star add a touch of treats. Twinkle, twinkle little stars-- gleam silver above the skies let your light boogie near or far on each fair fields that before us lie. ______________________________________________ Sponsor Kelly Deschler Contest Name Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Placed 5th...
