Jane Woodcock Poem
hoot hoot says the owl
who who says the dove
the dog gave a little growl
an eagle was seen high above
the flowers are blooming in the heat of the morning
as we walk through the valleys
there was no warning
of the storm that was coming
over the mountains the rain was falling
and suddenly thunder broke the silence
birds scattered into their nests
squirrels stopped hauling
all the nuts on the ground
a tornado could be seen going round and round
then it changed direction and it seemed like a test
so god could see a detection of fear
in all of us so far and near
then its quiet not a movement anywhere
now we must wait till something takes a dare

Jane Woodcock Poem
lady bug lady bug
come fly with me
over the hills and over the trees
living off the land
with the birds and the bees
nesting in logs and fallen leaves
feeling safe and warm in natures breeze
so hand in hand we will go
to never look back
at the love i lack
the pain and sorrow
i had felt
its over now
let it be tomorrow
