Kanu Ekpezu Poem
There is a fact known,
A fact not meant to be so.
A fact we know,
Though here we fight for it being better.
For literature, I am seeing her in a coma,
And writing in a mortuary
While I did see Drama insane,
I see prose, bedridden,
Then for poetry, I weep,
For she is at her grave side.
Someone should help her, I pray,
Maybe us, I think.
My best I attempt,
But would it be enough?
I ask.
For all it need is a miracle.
A miracle strong and powerful.

Kanu Ekpezu Poem
Outside I sat, to see the blue sky,
As the earth revolves, it passes by,
By the sea, I see the flowing water
Of its number amount, I ponder,
It's creatures, some meek some wild,
So the sea is seen both gentle and wild,
The men so wise,inovative,
So lovely and creative.
There is a thougth in my mind,
Which truely, is no crime.
What else is the greatest wonder?
Isn't earth?
Where foul and fair causes ponder?
Where polished woods are mistaken for gold?
How do we survive here with all the shots-cardinal wise;
With security as the pride of every nation
This can be proved in the "Daily's" headlines
Where it is been advertised.
Bribery seems the normal way
Else you die trying
The say it's survival of the fittest,
But I think the survors are super-fit
For it's an omni-wonder
To survive in such a wonder.

Kanu Ekpezu Poem
How should I begin
The etching of my heart?
Should I start by saying
How I fell from the start?
Will it even make sense
To compare you to incense
Or my love to hell fire?
And you as my halleluya
What if I say that you
Are to me as the dew?
And how the sky when it's blue
Creates in me, a picture of you?
Won't it be to your ear
Like eeny, meeny, miny moe?
So let me drop all the rhymes
And say only the truth, "I love you"

Kanu Ekpezu Poem
Too worthy to be behold
Too precious to be sold
No price on earth worth her
So I need her as bride with no price
Tell her father and his kinsmen
That am unworthy of their priceless
But neither am I nor is anyone
For no bride price worth her either
That I can't afford her bridal requirements
Shouldn't stop me from having her
For in me lies her heart
Though she is priceless and that is her name
Her eyes are bright and glitters
And there competes with moon and stars at night
One could imagine incredibly from afar
What has brought the heavenly down
Her skin is diamond in disguise
Her temptation, one can rarely overcome
Her smiles worth angels applauds
Her worth the world is yet to know
Her skin is smooth and cold
Her body worth more than gold
She's too priceless to be sold
If one should consider; really no one worth her
So give her to me for her love is with me.

Kanu Ekpezu Poem
I was caught up by her blaze
From the very first day
All that night it was her face
That kept reflecting while I lay
I tried to write to her a verse
Be that as it may
It didn't worth her gracious grace
She is brighter than the day
She's the sun in the morning
And the stars that shines at night
She has taken away my frowning
And at night she is my light
She is a lily, she's a rose
She is priceless to her toes
She is no mortal, she's an angel
To be vocal, she is my angel.

Kanu Ekpezu Poem
LOVE IS A FACT BELIEVE IT OR NOT,
IT HAS NO RESPECTER; NOT LANGUAGE,
RELIGION NOR POSITION. IT IS UNDISPUTED,
WHETHER YOU KNOW SO OR NOT,
LIVING WITHOUT IT IS LIVING A LIFE NOT IN A BETTER STATE THAN A VAGABOND,
UR LIFE HAS JUST BEEN WASTED,
U AR WORST THAN A DOG.
ANY BEAUTY WITHOUT IT IS OF NO WORTH,
AND ITS VIRTUES ARE FAKE,
A MAN WITHOUT IT IS NOT WORTHY OF LIVING AMONG OTHERS,
FOR HE HAS NO SENSE OF BELONGING,
A NATION WITHOUT IT SHOULD BE DESERTED OR WILL BE A TERROR TO OTHERS,
A GENERATION WITHOUT IT IS WORTHY OF NEVER EXISTED,
A WORLD WITHOUT IT IS NOT WORTH LIVING IN. BUT TOO MUCH OF IT BRINGS DESTRUCTION,
FOR IT HAS POWER TO DESTROY AND TO CREATE.
CELEBRATE IT WITH THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE AWESOMENESS OF ITS EXISTENCE.

Kanu Ekpezu Poem
Tender and small, meek and mild
All these virtues worth the child
Never worthy to be wild
Ever friendly; that's the child
If truly, surely
As we know
Truly, surely,
It is so
That blessed are they that have them,
Then accurst are they that despises them.
Worthy are they of much care
Provide them, or having them you should not dare
Render your best and expect their best
Render the best, and expect the best.

Kanu Ekpezu Poem
A hundred year is gone,
Suspence still fill the air.
Truly, the signs are with us.
About an exodus?
But no, not a plague of locust,
It's a plague of men.
The people are the disaster
Since naturally we have none.
Arise O compatroits.
To serve our fatherland
What has happened to the song we sing?
Why the irony?
Why tampering on the bond
Of peace and unity?
Why letting vain cause to overthrow
The labours of our heroes past?
O democracy! don't fail us now
O God of creation!
Direct our noble cause
Help our youth the truth to know
That we move again as a nation
towards great lofty height to attain
One nation bound in freedom
Peace and unity.

Kanu Ekpezu Poem
The path to perfection I tread
Forgoing the things I abhor that I did
Sometimes it seems my destination is near
But sometimes it seems I will never get there.
I do the wrong and say the riight
I love the lies that says am right
I seek from others nothing but the truth
But when the bitter truth about me is given to me
I hate the truth.
I've thought I made no mistakes
That all I give is all it takes
But now I pray to find my failures
For then is only when I can find a saviour

Kanu Ekpezu Poem
Last night I slept
And last night I dreamt
Of what has come and gone
And that which is to come
It was a revelation
Of an impending revolution
The dream made me to dream
The dream is my dream
I saw my kinsmen in chains
In foreign lands
I saw them in pains
Working their oppressors' lands
There were times there were tired
But were deprived of rest
So they worked without getting tired
Unhappily doing their best
Then I saw the same people
Who came to us like eagle
And took our kinsmen from us
In our own land oppressing us
We became slaves in our own land
We were oppressed in our fatherland
But when the yoke was too much for us to bear
We fought and gained freedom
The dream I have for my nation
Is bigger than I can say
And this is my aspiration
To be the change all the way
I have my inspiration
From the heroes of yesterday
Who heaped up motivation
To outlive everyday
I see people everywhere
With middle fingers in the air
Curses fill the atmosphere
'cause life itself isn't fair
My biggest dream for my nation
Yea, my biggest aspiration
Is for everyman in my nation
To be his brother's inspiration.
