Addict Moms

Do you really think,
We did the best we could?
How many time did we get high?
Before doing what we should.
Many times we chose to be,
Smoking dope instead.
While someone else fed our kids,
And tucked them into bed.
But its hard to be an addict.
And its hard just being me.
But ive tried to be the best Mom.
That an addict Mom can be.

Kia Please Just Listen

You`ll always be my little girl.
You mean all the world to me.
And every night I pray to God.
Dear God please help her see.
Help her to remember.
All the strength she has inside.
Hold her in your loving arms.
Until all her fears and doubts subside.
So many times you saved me.
She and I are much the same.
I no that she believes in you.
And loves you just the same.
Let us fill her heart with gladness.
Shine down your holy light.
Get rid of all her sadness.
Until she`s strong enough to fight.
I believe she`ll find the courage.
When she`s back on her two feet.
And find the will to want to live.
Willing and able to compete.

Guilty By Association

Am I guilty by association?
Well at least that`s how it looks.
And because shes in my family.
They think we both are crooks.
But I cannot confirm.
And nor can I deny.
Anything she might of done.
I`m not her alibi.
And if that`s how they feel.
Then I can clearly see.
How I might of turned.
Into a liability.

Upstairs Racers

All the noise from upstairs is outrageous.
They should lock up thier children in cages.
But it is`nt the children I blame.
I`ts thier parents who made this a game.
They run all day long.
They`re like Gold Medal strong.
Everyday`s like a day at the races.

Eyes Wide Open

I wish I could see what it is that you see
When your eyes are wide open and you’re looking at me.
You comment on so many women you see
And tell me about what it is about them you see
So I try really hard to see what you see
But I just can’t see what you tell me you see.
We both see the same thing very differently.
Making me wonder what it is that you see
When you eyes are wide open
    And you’re looking at me?
