'be Yourself'

One girl, one mind
She grabs one costume
And another and another.

Anything to hide away,
Safe from the world
The cruel, cruel world.

Take out the make-up
Put it on and don't go on stage;
She is afraid of the cruel, cruel words.

The words 'Be Yourself' surrounded her
She shed the costume and make-up,
And that has made all the difference.

It's Not Your Fault

The thing about life
is that
it can end in an instant

When the rope of the
harsh words
wraps tightly around your

Neck squeezing tighter
and tighter
you just want to jump

To end it all to end all
the pain
and the hatred and words

It is not only the words
that push
you over the edge

It is too the fists and
the feet
that slam into you

Over and over
without
a break with out letting up

Making you break down and slide down
the wall
and cry and cry and cry

One phone call can
save a
live, stopping that jump

Stopping the self hate
and
spreading the love

The love i have for
you will
never fade or die and i hope

will make you better
to sleep
and to be able to be

Happy again to
be happy
forever and always with me

just remember and know
that it's
NOT YOUR FAULT

Ode To Sydney's Piano

I wait here for her return silently sat
With a lonely and quiet sigh
Standing there with a lamp that
Is perched on top of my head high;

My keys ache to be
Played by her
Soft, small hands to see
Notes ringing out to stop the burr;

Different songs at played each
Time she sits down
Whether to let emotions out, to tell a speech
Or just to practice the sound;

Soft music played for her peers
Or loud music will
Echo in my ears
Until all is still...

Line By Line

His pain,
Etched across his arm,
Line by line by line by line by
line

Over and over and over,
Slashing the flesh that binds
him to this earth,
Line by line by line by line

The words echoing,
Words that are heard and never
forgotten cut him slowly to
pieces
Line by line by line by line by
line

"Nobody cares!" He shouts,
Reaching for the help in hopes
that they were wrong, that the
words were wrong cutting him
Line by line by line by line by
line

They are there for the girl who
everyone knows, but not for
the lonely boy who is slowly,or
quickly dying inside
Line by line by line by line by
line

But I am here for that boy, the
one who wants to escape from
the cruel grasp of life, that has
mercilessly tortured him
Line by line by line by line by
line

I am here and I'm not leaving
even as they cut you line by
line by line by line by line by
line by line

I am here for you and I
will be here till the end of time

His Eyes

His eyes are a cup of warm coffee
With swirls like soft chocolate notes
Deep like the ocean without a trace of blue
Hiding secrets and emotions too;

His eyes are chopped mint leaves
Adding a color like no other
The clover color touches the hearts
Of all who dare to seek it out;

His eyes are golden flecks
That sparkle with every breath they take
A topaz color like clean jewelry
Scattered among the darkness.

You Are Beautiful

She said, why am I so ugly
When she looked at that girl in the mirror,
Day after day
She will never be good enough
What has happened?
Some things will never change
and new fears emerged.
Is she that broken
That with a trembling hand,
She paints a picture of sorrow
Sometimes I wonder
If she'll ever sing again.
But today, look up
You are beautiful,
Today
Words will not bring you down,
Today.
Because today,
Is a new day.
The world is looking up
No more insecurities
Her confidence has arrived
Have you ever seen her heart?
WAIT.
Her symphony has begun,
Now all you have to do...
Is Listen.

Nobody Knows

nobody knows me,
not him and not her,
but then there's you

i want you to know me,
not for who everyone thinks i
am,
but for who i know i am

i usually don't let people in,
or give them the chance to hurt
me,
but you are worth the risk

i am like you,
you are like me,
but it is not the same

we are dangerous together,
i refuse to be hurt again,
but I may hurt more without
you

i resist your words and your
gaze,
not allowing myself to fall,
but i can't hold on any longer

it is your choice,
you can betray me and leave,
but if i trust you, don't lose it

i will learn to like,
i will learn to love,
but it might take a while

i could choose to like you,
And eventually love you,
But make sure i'm your only
one

nobody knows me,
not him and not her,
but then there's you
