Kiss Me Hard Before You Go

You've woken a memory, a searing desire, Ensnared my senses, set my whole world on fire. You still make me nervous, turn my insides to stone, My bastion breached, my resistance overthrown. A decade reverse we were in a different world, But a kiss from you and my toes would curl, I can not say what happened back then, Except how happy I am that you're back again. After all these years, after everything's changed, I think to way back and I still feel the same, Like we could conquer any mountain, ride any wave, Just lift a finger and I'll be your slave. Something good has begun and you're going on a jaunt, I'll have to put on my brave face, hide that I'm gaunt. While you're away, time can only pass slow, So do me a favour, kiss me hard before you go.

Don'T Cloud My Vision

Who would you have thought me be, If I wasn't who I am? I can only change so much In one, short life-span. They say that Rome wasn't built in a day And I tend to agree, For there are many obstacles On the journey to be free. I thought that you might walk with me, But it was then I saw, That all that you turned out to be Was a mangy dog of war.

The Sad, Lonely Bard

Follow me down but don't chase too hard,
I'm resigned to my lot; the sad, lonely bard.
You can try to save me, but it won't be worth it
You may well love me, but I don't deserve it.

I wish things were different, really I do
That I could commit, build a paradise with you.
We could have been great, don't think I don't know it
I'm being sincere though don't know how to show it.

Why are you here, why do you try?
It kills me each time I cause you to cry but,
Hurt you I will, it's all I know how
So it's best we forget and bury this now.

I've chosen my road and you're welcome to take it,
It's dark, cold and dusty, don't think you'll make it.
Dare, follow me down but don't chase too hard,
I'm resigned to my lot; the sad, lonely bard.

You Were My Home

You were right there, just reach out. But now you're gone, just a puff of smoke... ...and another drop of vodka Helps me, treats me, kills me, beats me Into submission... Where must I fall back to Where must I go You were hard and tough and difficult But you were my home And if I know me, there's work to be done I just don't know how to begin... ...by making the play, upping my game By being more...but a puff of smoke... ...and another drop of vodka Helps me, treats me, kills me, beats me Into submission...

Romantique

I've got a funny feeling
From my toes to the top of my head
From a distance, my thoughts been a stealing
You've been turning my insides to lead.

It has proved an outright challenge
Since you've been far away
To keep my poise and balance
Not to let my strength decay.

It's been over a week
And I've been growing quite weaker
They call me a hopeless "romantique"
But without you my life just seems bleaker.

So, run to me as I to you
Come meet me along the way
In my arms let me kiss you too
Till the pain all melts away.

What a Pretty Flower

I found a flower on my desk, yet I know not whence it came. It brought such warmth unto my heart although it had no name. It's colours changed from tick to tock and I knew that I'd been had, 'cause when I tried to pick it up, it had turned to pitch black sand. With such a transformation, right before my very eyes, I knew that nameless flowers were full of nought but lies. This flower, it did have no stem and, therefore, had no thorn. Though harmless to the naked eye, Left me utterly, truly torn.

A Wink In Case You'Re Blue

Just quick, A wink In case you're blue. Go outside and touch the breeze, There's a kiss waiting for you.

Solace

The soul looks for solace Where solace can't be found Because solace is false Nothing but a lie But the lover doesn't perceive That love doesn't exist Where passion dares not tread The mind can not fathom That solace is a demon Driven by no master Only human vices But the lover can't concieve That passion ceases Where love is unmade The heart seeks solace Yet always in vain Because solace is as Deceitful as love itself

Loving You Is Easy

Holding you is tranquil
Holding you is calm
Holding you is wonderful
Soft and safe and warm

Kissing you is magical
Kissing you is dreamy
Kissing you is perfect
How is was always meant to be

Loving you is easy
Loving you is right
Loving you is the sweetest thing
In my entire life

She Found Me

Once he was properly broken
Tossed aside, discarded
His heart, his mind, his soul
Utterly disregarded

Shards of his soul had scattered
Like winter-fleeing geese
So she bent down to the ground
And picked up a tiny piece

That little piece of heart she took
She nurtured it and it grew
So fast, so happy, so strong
Until he had a heart anew

Her warmth, her heart, her love
Were all he ever needed
Please, don't ever leave me
Were the only words he pleaded

To be shattered into pieces
And to be put together once more
Calls into question
The lessons he thought he'd learned before

His heart is now pounding
Alive of it's own
He feels her presence
Even when he's all alone

She's an uncut diamond
In an ocean of shale
Her eyes, steeped in mystery
Of which he must avail

This woman, this wonder, this Queen
Had changed his whole outlook on life
She had become his everything
His love, his home, his wife
