She Still Loves Him

He beats her body and bruises her face
She still loves him
He controls her mind and shatters her dreams
She still loves him
He starves her for days and locks her away
She still loves him
He lies to her and steals from her
She still loves him

No longer afraid
No longer controlled
He feels her slipping away
The bruises are fading
The pain is gone
He feels her slipping away
With all her strength
With all her courage
She boldly says
“I don’t love you anymore”

A Stepfather's Love

To love my Mom, it came with a price
Three young kids who weren’t so nice
We gave you hell all day and night
Cause we didn’t think it was right

In place of my dad, you never tried to be
But you were just like a father to me
The lessons in life I learned from you
Will live in my heart and carry me through

You were taken from us so fast
But your love will always last
And now I must say Goodbye
To a swell and wonderful guy

In loving memory of Calvin Norris
Your legacy will never leave us

The Smile

Your smile catches my eye
Your sweet voice sings in my ear
Suddenly the world around me just disappears

I hang on to every word you say
All my focus on you
I’m lost in thought for a minute or two

I escape to a magical place
Where dreams always come true
Wondering if only you knew

This is the beginning of a great thing
Even if it takes a while
And it all started with your smile

Nichole

Needing my guidance
In everyday life
Child of mine
Happy moments we embrace
Over our little mistakes
Lessons in life you learn
Every day growing older

He Loves Me

Through my triumphs and success
He loves me
Through my weakness and defeats
He loves me
On my good days or bad days
He loves me
With my smiles or tears
He loves me
I am broken and torn
He loves me
I am his for life cause
HE LOVES ME

A Rose

A seed is planted in the ground
The rain falling and the sun shining down
It won’t be long now
She grows as each day goes by
Soon she will reach the sky
One bright morning she stretches
Her pink petals open wide
They catch everybody eyes
She embraces them with her beauty
Brings a smile to their face
As the day goes on she stays strong
But soon she must go
The sun goes down and the moon comes up
Her petals wither away
She did her part while she was here
Forever we will hold dear
So much we have learned from the beauty of a Rose

In Loving Memory of Gruma Rose
