Words On the Wall

It’s like you stuck in a cell When you want to be heard But there’s no medium to express yourself The wall is the only thing that you got You put your heart on it And make it salty when tears from your eyes drop You engrave heroics on it And when you trip, you scribble failure on it When life smiles you make a mark on it Your past can’t be erased, so try and embrace it. And if it’s bad, it should never show up again Maybe when someone finds this dusty wall The words on the wall can feed them Maybe they can relate. Maybe they can smile where you smiled And feel the scribbles of the pain that you felt Maybe these words can teach them a truth They could be soothing enough to heal more than an aching tooth These words on the wall are what the world sees And since words form pictures, hopefully your life is a beautiful piece You don’t need to be rich to have a masterpiece You need courage to realise what’s wrong and change it You need faith to believe and see the beauty inside Through our lives we can help cause change today You just have to show them the words on the wall.

Fire and Ice

If You were fire and I was Ice
I'd extinguish your flame every day
Or just maybe
You would cause me to melt away
We could never exist in each other’s embrace
Because when I hold your hand in mine
That would seal our fate
And that's fine because
Every Cold heart needs a warm touch
And even hot coals need to be cooled
Don't school me about temperature
Don’t make me graduate from my subzero degrees.
So let's stare life in the face
We can take a leap of faith
And there we would collide
Unruly fire and frosty ice
Your dying embers and my tear shaped drops Would be the last things that remain
Of you being fire and me being ice

City Lights

I leave the quietness of the village
I take a leap of faith
Into the blinding Lights
These Lights hold the freedom I long
These Lights hold Hope's sweet song
'These City Lights carry strength for weary bones
And promise a future of bright colored tones
I leave the dullness of Farm life
And I jump headlong for the City Lights

The lights caress and warm my cold forehead
And the beauty of the place is more than i Fore heard
The city lights form dancing shadows
That herald my entry into my new home
The rancor of the city is my welcome applause
As I take a bow under these City Lights

Man In the Mirror

I see the pain in your eyes

I've seen the tears you have cried

But on the other hand

I see the greatness inside

I still hear the screams

You know when you were abused as a child

Your skies were never sunny

Always covered with grey clouds

And when you tried to speak up

They said you were too loud

So you always kept mum

Brought up by a single parent

So you never saw Dad

Now I'm wondering who you are..

Cos you really look familiar

Oh yea you're that man in the mirror

I see the grief on your face

I wont want to be in your place

I remember the day you first cut up your wrists

I know the pain gave you temporal bliss

But after the guilt seeped in...

You punched the wall so hard you had to wrap up your fist

Then your cousin introduced you to filth

Couple years down the road...

You cant even get up to piss

You now have a skinny frame

Doctors say you got AIDS

Now I'm wondering who you are

Dang, you're the man in the mirror

Sometimes I hate the image

This replica of me...

I can be anything in the mirror

I don't want to be a villain

But its hard to be a hero

And I have to remember that this man doesn't define me

My actions or in-actions make him what he is

The man in the mirror is zero without me

Earth's Anguish

Return! Return!

The men You seek Are Dead

Return to your Ashen Pagodas

For now there will be no more bloodshed

No more cries at night from the widows.

The Widows!

Where are the Widows?

Lying next to their husbands bones

Their bleeding souls cannot let go

They have decided to live in misery

And to eat grapes gone sour

And to not see the sun

Until their lives someone takes

If the widows die when the Moon is High

The Earth will mount its earthly horse

And seek out the men at fault

For with love they wooed power

And forgot the power of Love

Yes, the earth will sing a war song

And the whole world will hear

The devastating music

And when the melody stops

So will their Hearts as well.

Someone To Love

I want to be Happy when you walk down the aisle

I want it to be you who Returns my smile

I want to be breathless as you pass all the pews

I want the pleasure of really meaning I do

My life is one i want to spend with you

Someone who will see what the world doesn't

And help me up if i ever lose my footing

Someone who wont quit on me a year down the road

And whose hands i will still hold even when we grow old

Someone who will keep me warm when I am cold

And will tell me the truth if its only lies i have been told.

The better half of me.. the one who makes us one...

Someone I would gladly die for n never ever run

Simply to share my life with and unashamedly Love....

And to see our dreams come true...

Love Pain

Announcing my return

Before I see you leave

Cuddled up in my thoughts

Delirious with your name

Enigmatic beauty

Feeding on my dreams

Going out of my way to give you anything

Hearing your soft voice brings...

Inklings of you in my head

Juxtapose our differences again

Killing my very heart

Loving me can be so hard?

Merging hearts, you won't do

Now all I have is an image of you

Opulence has blinded you

Prevented You from seeing ME

Quixote's madness seems to be my friend

Reminded of you in everything

Seeing my heart ripped like this

Torn like an expensive fabric

Ubiquitous pain; Love is

Venting out my frustration anyway I can

Waiting for the day you notice me

X-rays of my heart show the truth

Yearning for your love;would be too late when I reach the

Zenith of my career

Don'T Love Me For a Reason

Don't love me for a reason; just do
Can we forget about high cheek bones
And beautiful white smiles?
Can it not be about the shapes that join to form me?
Or the titles that precede my name?
Wield not love as a currency
See it not as a medium of exchange
Would you leave and call me mad...
If I donated the numbers in my bank account?
Or if I returned the Ferrari with a smile
and gave the estate up to the homeless?
Would you still walk this road with me?

Before You Dissappear

I felt you leave

Now I have to watch you go

Cant turn back time

Cos I guess you know I would

If only I could!!!....

A shadow of you I would only be left with

That would always carry your beautiful laughter...

In my memories, the sun would never set

So that your shadow would never die at dusk

I would gaze at its black silhouette everyday

Till it would become a memory I cant erase...

A shadow that would follow my memories...

And I would Just be content to smile....

Every time something reminds me of you...

Every fading laughter... every fading word...

Everything that has you etched on it...

Every fact you ever gave... Every line you said...

Now the wind is blowing hard...

And I fear you are leaving in its gusts...

This my final HURRAH...

My final words before you disappear...

The Riot

Grab the torches

Helmets and all

There's about to be a riot

I feel like the veil is gone

Been on my knees puking the remainder of you

Been throwing up your lies

My insides are retching themselves of you.

Your exterior is so beautiful

But your hearts blacker than an eclipse

I was walking a tightrope

With both sides burning

Trapped. You didn't break my fall

I ran back to you thinking...

Some sort of mistake.

Then i saw the real you.

Deceit in your eyes.

Hate spewing from your mouth

Wait! I dated You!

Now i see the evil in You.

The realization hitting me.

You just a Bad illusion

I fed on lies from your hand

You had me mesmerized

You offered me the world

Made it look nice

Well Now I'm out of your Grip

To a father's Open arms

Now I'm wearing battle gear

Got my torch raised high

I'm burning all your holds....

Tell the city to sound the alarms.

Cos its gonna go up in flames....

There is gonna be a riot.
