Hell Yeah: Evolution of Hip Hop

Hell Yeah-Hip Hop rose up bustin the scene in 85’

Hell Yeah-All fun clear rhymes and rap attacks no stabbin backs

Hell Yeah-But then things changed got re-arranged with gangsta rap

Hell Yeah-Rhymes misogynistic but still linguistic with twisted lines

Hell Yeah-Things took a deadly turn in 96’

Hell Yeah-Pac passed leavin hip hop in disarray

Hell Yeah-Big Poppa died his Mama cries til’ this day

Hell Yeah-Jay-Z came up changin hip hop eva since

Hell Yeah-Hip hop more pop but still a drop of gangsta rap

Hell Yeah-Where will she go with sweeter flows nobody knows

63 Pairs of Nothing

So your ex has 63 pairs of shoes
Nice but she doesn’t have you
Rather have you than 63 pairs of nothingness
Bored, divorced, waiting for the next sounds meaningless
I’ll take 63 pairs of you
That’s 63 times the value
Of a strong black man, an omen of things to come
You with a closet full of shoes collecting dust
Me with your ex looking at me his eyes full of lust
Not about the shoes lady, shoes won’t keep you warm at night
Shoes don’t say baby you look “Dy-no-mite”
So go ahead with your 63 pairs of shoes
Soon you about to hear the news
So get you dress and put on a nice pair
Cause I’m walking down the aisle with your ex
He on cloud nine dancing on air like Fred Ester

Chasing Rainbows

Loving you is like chasing rainbows
Sunny now after raining all day
Beautiful sunshine pretty like bows
Look up in the sky and down
the street or maybe by the bay
Seeing my rainbow makes me smile
Hoping it lasts for a while

Rainbows poking through clouds
or glowing on sunlit streets
Makes me feel you all around
A tingling feel, like dew touching my feet
Truth is our love is rocky stormy at best
But rainbows remind me that we pass every test
Answering love’s lingering request

 Chasing rainbows after the snow
Is like chasing love as if it we’re gold
Are both one and the same
A fool for my lover’s glow
After the rain my precious rainbow

The Great I Am

I Am the Great I Am
Father of Abraham, Ephram and Joram
But I Am also your humble father son
Though my majesty extends from
times past and times still to come
Come stay near me to see
How I part your red seas
Tear down your walls of Jericho
Wherever the adversary strikes there I go
Though I rebuke you, I still love you
Just as your earthly father gives you gifts
I shower with blessings sent down in heaps
Let no man keep you from me
Come to me, pray, then watch and see
How I heal, reveal, and unravel
your new state of glory
Forever and evermore all of eternity
My son accept me, take me
As your "Great I Am"
A majestic father like no one's ever seen

When Time Has No End

Refrain
Kiss me kiss me when time has no end
Thrill me thrill me until love begins
Take me take me into your arms
My love, thrill me with all of your charm
Caress me with your precious kiss

Verse
My desire for you is so intense
Leaves me feeling incensed
My love for you is that strong
God is this for real? I don’t wanna be wrong
Baby it’s ok to feel what I feel
But if you don’t feel what I feel
Then I’ll just love you as my friend
My someday lover when time has no end

Refrain
Kiss me kiss me when time has no end
Thrill me thrill me until love begins
Take me take me into your arms
My love, thrill me with all of your charm
Caress me with your precious kiss

Verse
I’ll wait for you forever
Then forever and ever
Til time stops ticking
And the wheels stop spinning
My friend in this world
I’m not your girl yet
But when time has no end
Our love will be endless

I Stand In Awe

Lord, I stand in awe of earth’s creation
With valleys so deep and mountains so high
I see tapestries of green and fish floating in streams
And, birds flying high in pretty blue skies

I wonder at how geese flock in V-like formation
Following the same destination year after year
Returning in spring to the same location

I marvel at how bears hibernate in winter
Not eating any berries or fawn
They come out in springtime fatter than ever before
Then eating everything in sight from dusk til’ dawn

I meditate on your Holy word
At how creatures came to Noah’s ark two by two
From birds to bears all in pairs
Safe from flood as if Noah told them to

I feel your presence in earth’s creation
A splendid array of differing elements
All assembled for your adoration
Despite man’s pollution and destitution
Earth remains your greatest creation

Foolish Dudes

Foolish Dudes

Foolish dudes never have a clue
Shootin they own foot while stealin loot
Slappin chicks and yelling at kids
Actin like Ike Turner til she hits the skids
Bruisin up chicks givin out licks
Burnin bridges fatal decisions lights flick flicks
Now old all alone and scared
Askin why wifey ain't here
Messed up your blessing now she gone
Bet she not alone
She chillin with your bank account and house
No longer your bruised up spouse
Rewind time change your messed up ways
So she feel appreciated and then she'll stay
Wisin up, grow up and stop clingging to momma
Be that good man and poppa

Running Streams

Running streams running down hills
Cascading waterfalls cascading downstream
On beautiful rock formations like portrait stills
Rolling over mountains or construction beams

Gushing streams gushing through rocks
Meandering currents meandering along
Over forest beds of green and wood cedar blocks
Falling into wide open lakes where you belong

Still Paintings

Still paintings are portraits of you
Pristine pictures once, twice, shining anew
With various colors some bold others cool
Drawing a stark contrast of your many hues
Which color describes you best?
Never knowing what to expect
Paintings like you are never dull
Exciting, tantalizing portraits hanging on walls
Admiring them from afar
Each revealing pattern disecting every part
Drawing me in with every look
Absorbing every inch like words of a book
Wondering what picture to draw next
Like skipping chapters in a text
Going to the very end for the ever after
That final painting of you and I in laughter
