With Empty Arms

with empty arms
you carry me
to the deepest depth of the sea
we are loved and wasted
all at once
vast or empty?
hollowed out or solid like stone
with arms who stretch
almost as far as giants could see
i return
only to find them once again empty
and once again, i am alone

Breadcrumbs

I've followed the trail,
of bread crumbs,
you set behind,
each step,
now how am i to return home?

Fetus

every feeling, every thought
cursing through these veins
cut off by the blood clot
i don't miss these growing pains
you taught me to love
you taught me to hate
when push came to shove
i could always relate
every feeling every thought
i was your fetus
i was your blood clot
and now look at us
full of self pity, self doubt
i hate you, I HATE YOU
for everything i'm about
what is it? i didn't do?
the feeling the thought
one year away
from doing everything i wasn't taught
what is it? i didn't say? a part of me is always you, it's always 'us'
its's every feeling, it's every thought
find another fetus
find another blood clot

But Because We Do Not Know

but because we do not know,
and we live in this fear
do we not engage in conflict
or try to love
my dear,
it goes like this
your hands are soft
they are quick
unflawed
and natural
and unnerved
yet i am drawn to them
like the light
draws the moths
and i think
but because i will never
fully grasp or understand
the yearning
the hunger in my belly
the hearts burning
to conflict with you
and exchange this idea
(we will never know)
why i cannot
grasp
the form of love
i seek so desperatly
and need
without knowing

Attatchment

you've grown
within your own soul
hidden beneath
the tiny beating
that's still there
yet unfamiliar
trying not to
give into soft lips
hands
warmth of skin against skin
afraid that
if you become
attached
or are involved with any attatchment
you'd mind as well
rip out the last
violin orchestra
of your slowly
fading
heart
