Dawn the Stalker, Part 3

She devoted her time to poetry and blogs
Addressing his many nonexistent flaws
As if his was the family, being neglected
While she refused to address his rejection
And became something too sad to even mock

You see, Dawn had succumbed to her invective
Unmedicated and overprotective
But of all the wrong things -
The lies about herself she struggled to maintain
And an impossible dream objective

And so, Dawn rots away
Her own twisted mind's slave
Spending time on a man who will never love her
Of whose affections, she is quite sure
While the ones who do care about her are estranged

She thinks only of herself
And ignores her child's wails
Mocks her husband's needs
She is the epitome of greed
And of failing mental health

Her words against him are an inner reflection
Of the emptiness that has become her own life's direction
She gets more repulsive as she pines away
And her husband is tempted to stray
But she thinks he is a fool to her deception

And most of us caught in her narrative live on
While she babbles like a moron
Taking her hate and lies wherever she can
To try and further convict an innocent man
Oh, what a sad old witch, that Dawn!

Dawn the Stalker, Part 1

There once was an old hag named Dawn
Over a married man online she would fawn
Though she fancied him often
They had nothing in common
And her comments made him wan

When he politely turned her down
She sat, with an acid frown
But there is more to this picture
You see, Dawn was a spinster
And her schizophrenia was akin to a loaded round

She fancied herself a prophet of God
The scientist she was pursuing was hardly awed
He lived it up online with his friends
But her stalking behavior with others should portend
His sense of security would soon be trod

Dawn had a penchant for delusion
("Don't all 'prophets'", suggested the atheist's conclusion!)
And as her warped mind played its tricks
It conjured up a scenario so sick
And none could distract her from her intrusion

She stalked him, day and night
Posting threats and his address online
She decided he was pretending to be other people
And her invective turned so lethal
That some she accused of being him were in quite a fright

As months became consumed with her obsession
Her poor husband and daughter lived in depression
She got fatter and fatter
And his friends' comments on these matters
Accelerated her ego's aggression

She threatened him with scripture
And cut the head off of a belly dancer's picture
But he remained unimpressed
Happily married, he stressed!
But on her rotten mind, he was still a fixture

Schizophrenia's Curse

My faith is a source of comfort
In the turbulent storm that has become my life
After all, God has graced me with special powers
But when it comes to my personal anguish, his ways are unknowable
I have managed to estrange almost everyone

Personal relationships collapse around me
But there is a man who loves me, somewhere across the world
Even though he claims he's never been interested
The poems he writes under a woman's name
Tell me all I need to tell myself is true

And I resent that he pretends I am an intrusion
While whispering the words of his true soul, elsewhere
If only his friends that call me crazy knew!
They would be humbled, to say I should be the one ashamed
And realize that they are the stalkers, not me

It cannot possibly be that those poems are actually written by the woman
It hurts, when people call me mentally ill
God cured my sickness, years ago
And has retained my prophetic abilities
Despite my repeated lies

No, I still have my gift
Which means that God has forgiven
He saw it as a tool for survival
In the rift of challenges from people who feign disinterest
But who carry me on in their heart

I will be your salvation
Please don't see my promises of eternal love as a threat
As a matter of fact, I'm growing impatient with you
Why do you keep lying about who you are and your feelings for me?
Why are you embarrassing me like this?

I contacted your work to tell them you were a liar
I put your address out, with threats to tell your wife
I knew it would draw you nearer to me
Because I am helping you get over your illness
You can pray it away, like I did.

That "friend" of yours is the devil in disguise
She will eat away at your soul
I cannot believe you let her say these horrible things to me!
It's so obvious that she wants to be with you
Even though she keeps telling me you are happily married

Wow, you are really starting to enrage me
With your insistence that you are not in love with me
And lying to fool a few people that you do not share my faith
You don't respond properly to threats of hell
But that is where you will end up, if you keep this company

I refuse to accept you for what you say you are
It's okay - I know the truth
And I love the real you unconditionally
People sickly claim that I cannot understand love
Now stop ignoring me, you monster!

Why are men so hard to understand
How can someone of faith be so blasphemous
I am your angel of light, your lamp
And you shut the door in my face
I will haunt you, for the rest of your life

D-O-G

(Yes, I know that these are not as dark as typical senryu... But "haiku" would be even
more along the lines of false advertising!)

Dancing eyes look back
A flirt, a smile, a wag
Cat food breath again

Walking together
Connected to mother Earth
Time to pick up poop

Dance, dance, dance
See the leash! BE the leash!
Curse you, it's raining.

Seat belt means one thing
The sounds! The sights! The breeze!
Someone farted.

Asperger's --Work In Progress--

Contemplative, taciturn
Willing to commit
An immutable zeal to learn
Endowed with acerbic wit
Endless potential
But having few outlets, to express it
Seemingly aloof or deferential
Unintentionally causing pain
Coming off inconsequential
An indelible stain
Easily misunderstood
Without composure refrained

Dawn the Stalker, Part 2

Presumably with the aid of God's glory
She interwove several others' stories
And painted him something he was not
A monster she should give second thought
And yet, she remained obsessed with her quarry

She told his work that he was a liar
And concluded it successfully drew their ire
She said prophecy told her he'd lost his job
And called his friends defending him a mob
The situation became quite dire

She said that he divorced his wife
And upon notification, she'd threatened to take her own life
But he remained happily married
As Dawn was hunched and harried
Consumed with the rewrite

She said he was unfaithful
That his children were quite ungrateful
That he had converted to her faith
And lied about it to save face
And other things vile and hateful

She decided (through prophecy, of course!)
That the poems she read online had him as the source
He was professing his love for her and his faith
Disguised as a woman quite far away
Being kept from talking to her by force

After all, it couldn't possibly be the case
That he found her hideous in mind and face
That he was appreciated for what he was
Had children and a wife that he loved
And never once considered her faith

And so Dawn spent her days
A degenerate in malaise
But her lies were not to be daunted
And they had her, rather haunted
Even more obsessed with his ways

Life's a Beach

I seek a dip in the ocean
Its cold, aggressive waters are therapy
It seems all of my troubles can slip away
With the rift of the turbulent sea

Walking across the warm sand
Its texture both heals and wounds
Reshaping and softening the skin
Working its way into every groove

That initial lick of ocean froth
As innocent as a salty kiss
Betrays the nature of its icy embrace
And the magnitude of the abyss

The current is stronger than I am
I am tossed and thrown about
At times I am not sure I will wind up
At the surface or be pulled down!

But once beyond the sluicing waves
I am in a paradise of tranquility
Alone, awakened and restored
I swim until the shore can barely be seen

Once home, the ocean scent lingers
Perfuming my hair and dreams
And as I nap, I am carried back
To the lullabye of the sea

Never

You will never meet him
Never embrace
Never have a meaningful conversation
Never lovingly kiss his face

You will never touch him
Never tangle your fingers in his hair
Never realize his dreams
Or exchange a loving stare

And because he rejected you
You've reshaped him as something you could despise
And brought a vendetta upon his family
Waging a war of bitter, empty lies

And yet, he is so much more
Than your limited mentality could create
The jagged, pathetic lines of jealousy
Put limitations in their place

Yet, you desire what you call a monster
You have lost at your own game
And he will never forgive you
Never hear you speak his name

You hold him hostage to your dreams
Try to rob him of happiness and wealth
Disgust him with your obsessions
But the biggest victim you've created is yourself
