Evol

To a dyslexic, love may be evol.
To me, a hyperlexia, I read love as evol.
What is love?
Don't ask such a question, especially to me.
An illusion; a captivation, that is impractical to overcome.
The helpless and the hopeful.
-Unite under one circumstance.
Those who are evil, learn to love.

Not a creature is immune.
-Will lead to your doom
Not everyone has the ideal groom
Room left for compromise
And you'll create the perfect moon

All the while, you were living in an opaque cocoon,
Shielding yourself from what was soon

Evol or love?

Angel

Imagine a lovely garden, tea for two, and this story . . .
So I guess you were in the Delafield Park that morning-
Police report says around 12 a-something
Yeah, I’m sorry, I wish you woulda called, texted, anything.
I woulda been there-oh wait I was there-always have been there.
Which is why people are sayin’ you didn’t hit me up-
You went to the wrong people, those who didn’t care.
-You must-a been so damn scared
I’m glad you’re off the streets, not in a cell, or in pain-
Maybe we just insane, baby
That makes two of us, trust me, I get those thoughts too-
Not strong enough to make me actually carry it through-
Jus’ don’t wanna leave my family and those I love, people like you.
But hey, I know God has a plan, and I understand the stuff you had to handle
Now I got a guardian angel, and I have your picture in my room
Next to the cardboard painting of
“I’ll Be In The Sky…I’ll Be There…Oh, Alright…”
So weird, thinkin’ I lost my best friend, my brother
Now we can always see each other, how ‘bout that?
Please watch over your family and everyone you love, and those you don’t.
Watch over ‘Milla too. I never got to meet her, but I bet she loved you.
Hey, I love you too, you know that, of course, but ya know…just wanted to letchya
know…
And little Emma too-man, she’s a special girl, she really loves her brother and she’ll do
great in this world.
Man, remember that one time, two times, three times, at the movies?
Aha-I know you do.
All the crazy things we did and been through-
Well I’m-a wrap this up, I took these lyrics from my rap
And I’m turning ‘em into a poem for English so I can get a grade
-Do well, and go to college, I’ma live for you
I love you, Fella

Lemme Just Say

I’m the fool who talks to the moon
In hopes you’re speaking to it too.

We share something special; no doubt.
I know the long distance is preventing us from carrying it out.
I wish that it wasn’t holding you back-I wish nothing was.

I constantly make myself vulnerable; I feel you are the only one who deserves it.
I want you to know how much you mean to me, and how there has never been a feeling
like this known to me.

You make me forget about all my worries, and make me feel safe.
I think about you all the time; not a day goes by
That I don’t think about all the things we did in July.

The things you said-I hope they weren’t just words.
Yes, they were sweet; I hope that actions and words go hand-in-hand.

Like how we were on the couch
The first time, at Pacific Life.

Butterflies fill me; sometimes just by thoughts of you.
I thought the butterflies would die, but they haven’t.

The most selfish wish I’ve wished for was you.
For you to want me too, and for me be with you.

You said we would be together if I lived there, but it’s hard waiting until college.
I hope you were serious, by the way-not just cute talk.

You have magic powers; super capabilities to make me feel this way.
I never believed in love, and when I thought I knew what it was, I obviously didn’t.

I thought I loved to the extent someone could love,
Until loving you,

You did the impossible.
Don’t be impossible.

I love you and want you in my life forever-just like you said.
