The Grey Area

I saw the tears in her eyes,
Not because she was crying,
But an imprint,
From a hundred cries before.

A single mom,
Doing the best she could,
But she was far,
From evening life's score.

Her speech was slurred,
Probably from,
One too many drinks,
Drowning her sorrows away.

I almost,
Overlooked her completely,
Cause I couldn't,
Understand the words she had to say.

I could of ignored her,
Told her,
She wasn't welcome,
Cause I had no time to waste

But she had with her,
Her son,
Who despite being a bit embarrassed,
Did his best to explain her case.

So I decided to hear her out,
And despite my skeptic thoughts,
I decided,
To give her a chance.

Something about her appearance,
Told me she needed a break,
From people telling her,
There excuses for can'ts

The next month,
She came back,
Bright an early,
Ready to honor our deal,

I was encouraged,
Thinking how misleading,
Prejudices were,
From that which is real.

Here she was,
A good mom,
Just trying to give,
Her son something better,

And I almost,
Made her life harder,
By believing my misconceptions,
To the letter.

I learned a valuable lesson,
That day
You can't judge a book,
By it's cover.

And sometimes,
It's hard to tell the difference,
From a fall down drunk,
And an ill fortuned good mother.

Combustion

It's a slow soft introduction,
To intense sultry seduction,
Entering worlds
Of heart pumping productions.
That have on more then one occasion,
Lead to total physical destruction.

And still we go there,
Cause we've moved beyond the point,
Where either of us care.

It's all about taking our time,
And getting things just right.
So we can enjoy the rapturous flavors,
Of reaching our climactic heights.

Mmmm baby kiss me one more time,
Mmmmm baby kiss me three more times,
Just one more time!
Baby kiss me again.
Let's see how many laws of gravity,
Our love making can bend.

Cause I swear!,
We are flying.
Flying to places,
Not even the sun and moon could go.
Transcending the heavens,
To only a place,
You and I could know.

Some would call it a miracle,
I just call it us,
Doing what comes naturally,
Enjoying moments of passion,
Till we both combust.

Everyone Wants To Be Special

Hunter seeks his prey,
Like we seek our destinies.
Waiting for our claim to fame.
Some of us are even,
Willing to commit felonies.
It's all about seizing the day.
All about making our names.
All about getting in the game.
We're just a bunch of fools
Oh what a shame!
It's all a bit lame.
Life so wasted in vain
But who am I to complain.
I am guilty the most,
For I've certainly played host,
To misguided ideals.
Than one day,
I will be chosen.
To hold the top post.
It's all a delusion,
This is my conclusion,
But then again.
Every one wants to be special.

Ill Choose My Way

You can call me a fool,
If that's what you like.
But I won't accept,
This one size fits all life.

The media doesn't get to decide,
The size of every breath I take,
From this moment on,
My life is what I decide to make.

I won't bow down,
Even if I'm hit with a hundred blows,
I won't back down,
Even if I face a hundred foes.

My eyes are set to the sun,
My will, now decides my fate,
Don't even think of stopping me now,
No force will deter my gait.

One foot in front of the other,
My pace, steady as she goes.
I refuse to accept the destination,
Of an already traveled road.

I am a warrior king,
Noble blood boiling deep within my veins,
Destined to change the very future,
And set this world free from it's chains.

A Murderer's Heir

She died,
She died to save her son,
From the horrors of her past.
She felt it was the only gift,
She could truly give,
One that would forever last.

She made many mistakes,
But none could of been ,
Considered a crime.
She knew this deep in her heart,
But she sat silently in her cell,
Serving her time.

Society had already deemed,
That her blood,
Was only fit to be spilled.
Her supposed crime,
Helping her husband,
Find the victims he would kill.

Yes she had used poor judgment,
But she was totally unaware,
Of the kind of monster he was.
Once she found out,
What he was truly capable of,
She did what any person,
In her shoes does,

She took her little boy,
Her darling angel from above,
Found a better place,
For him to be safe and loved.

She then called the authorities,
So that her and her evil husband,
Could be locked away.
And now here she is,
Sitting in the executioner's chamber.
Patiently waiting for her judgment day.

Taking with her a secret,
That an innocent woman,
Was about to die.
But to her it was a fair trade,
For her baby to keep believing this lie.

The truth,
Once revealed,
Could only cause him despair.
For how could he truly handle,
Knowing,
He was,
A murderer's heir.

Doom

Fake hearts,
Beware what you dream,
In this world,
Full of schemes,
It's hard to redeem,

Horror filled screams,
At nightmare scenes,
Painted with a maniac's brush,
Too late to wipe the slate clean.

Downward spirals,
Tail spinning to doom.
Camera angles,
Picture perfect,
To give your face,
That high-def zoom.

So that looky loos,
Better off than you
Can be home by nine,
And watch your tragedy,
On the 10 o'clock news.

Misconceptions,
In their views,
Thinking they can,
Better choose.
A better life than you.
Cheers to the idiotic ramblings,
Of pathetic fools.

Who are only a few moments,
From a similar fate.
Your last breath,
Is spent laughing,
Cause while they try to cling to life,
You already know,
For them
It's too late.

Fate has sealed the deal,
Pain is what they'll feel.
The blind are leading the blind,
To the fields,
Where the mad men kill.

My Secret Wish

There's something on my mind,
Actually someone.
I don't know exactly,
How these thoughts started,
But I know they can't be undone.

I think of us,
In twisted positions,
Erotic innuendos,
As our bodies,
Experience explosive collisions.

Impulsive decisions,
Hoping and wishing,
That the two of us,
Can enjoy this romance,
Without too many,
Inquisitions.

Like a forbidden fruit,
Once tasted,
I can't help but want more.
I'm still fantasizing,
About that time,
We gave into our cravings,
On the kitchen floor.

Yeah remember that,
You were so eager to please,
And I was so rapt up in the moment,
I fulfilled every single one,
Of your lustful needs.

Maybe it was greed,
But I hungered for you,
Every single night after,
Every time you called,
I couldn't run to the phone,
Any faster.

My friends clowned me,
Calling me whipped,
But they had no idea,
How you looked,
Once that little black dress,
Was unzipped.

Let me get a grip,
Before I go off track,
See girl,
Even now,
Thinking of you,
Got me not knowing how to act.

There's a reason for these words,
And that reason is this,
I really hate to admit it,
But you are,
My secret wish.

Don'T Ever Think

Don't think for a second,
That the reason I haven't stepped to you,
Is because,
You lack the gravitational pull.
You're a phenomenal woman,
In every sense of the word,
I just don't want to step to you,
Like some of of these other fools.

I wanna come correct,
An offer you everything,
I have to bring to the table,
Cause a woman like you,
Deserves nothing less,
Than a man that is,
Ready, willing, and able.

To provide for your needs,
And cater to you whims.
To make you feel,
Like the greatest gift,
That you are.
A man that would,
Go through any length for your smile,
Travel any distance,
No matter how far.

So once again I say,
Don't ever think,
I'm not stepping to you,
Cause you lack the gravitational pull.
I just know you deserve better,
Than I can give,
And for me to come half assed,
Just ain't cool.

The Secret To a Better You

The sky ablaze with fire,
The spell of a setting sun.
Mountains framing a perfect moment.
Another day done.

You finally realize,
Just how big,
The world really is,
Wanderlust creeps it's way in,
Your heart touched by,
Natures kiss.

Suddenly the roads you travel,
Don't go as far.
Home is a cage,
But now the gate is ajar.

You build enough nerve,
To take the first step out.
There's no turning back now,
It's time to take route.

Time to discover new dreams,
Scenes you could never picture before.
Time to travel infinite avenues,
And open brand new doors.

Only standing still long enough,
To build a memory or two,
Discovering yourself in every moment,
The true secret to a better you.

A Life No One Should Have To Live

The world was cold,
And there he sat,
On the sidewalk curve.
His head held in his hands.
Trying to swallow his pride.
Desperately seeking,
To build up the nerve.

To approach a passerby,
And ask for a bite to eat.
You could tell it had been a while,
Because he barely looked strong enough,
To stand on his feet.

A young man,
Barely twenty years old,
And in that moment,
He aged a hundred years,
Huddled up in the bitter cold.

As I walked by,
He lifted his head,
And spoke as he stifled a cry,
He looked me in the eye,
And ask for my help,
Despite his stubborn pride.

Sir,
I'm not asking for money,
But could you spare a bite to eat.
Before I could tell him no,
He had already bowed his head,
In defeat.

My heart ached for him,
And I could not let go,
Of the despair I saw in his gaze.
I decided to go hungry that day,
So at least for a moment,
His spirit could be raised.

But what about tomorrow,
I most certainly could not,
Take on another mouth to feed.
I felt so utterly useless,
Despite my good deed.

So now I write his story,
In the hope that it will,
Inspire someone else to do good.
Cause I will never forget,
That homeless young man,
Living a miserable life,
That no one,
Ever,
Should.
