Love Game

So, I sit tonight,
Drowned by my tears,
As I constantly try,
To submerge my fears.
Will it ever end,
Or is love just a game?
Is there even a way,
To avoid the pain?
Is there such a thing,
As a perfect true love?
Or is it just a contest,
Where noone's ever good enough?
Do you ever find "the one,"
Or does your mind just play tricks?
Are hearts meant to be perfect,
Or broken with a faux-fix?
Right now, how I feel,
Is that love's just a game,
And there's never a cure,
For the murderous pain.

No More Chances

Let it go;
Say not a word,
Save us both from all the hurt.
It's been too long,
Our friendship's gone.
Your "jokes" have gone a bit too far.
You'll miss me, yes,
But just because,
A door-mat is all I ever was.
You walked over me,
Never let me defend.
Is that what you'd call a true friend?
You've realized now,
I don't need you.
You're trying to get to me again.
Not again,
I'm not giving in.
You replaced me before,
Go back to them.

Pressed Against Me

I ache for your touch.
I want to feel,
your hands on my body,
your lips on mine.
I want to just feel you...
Your skin against my skin.
Nothing but our bodies,
our feelings,
intertwined close together.
I want to feel the love,
the lust,
all our built up
feelings escaping at once.
I want to hold you,
to be held by you.
I want to feel you
against me,
your body pressed close
against mine.
I want to feel you,
all of you,
forever.

More Than a Pet

They say dog is man's best friend;
That's exactly what you are.
Just a few hours ago, you were taken away,
By the driver of that car.
They didn't stop, they didn't care,
They just kept going on.
They don't know my heart is broken,
Because my best friend is gone.
To most, you were just a dog,
You were just our family pet;
To me, Cheyenne, you were a friend,
More special than the rest.
You always knew when I felt bad,
You were always by my side.
Without you here, I just feel lost;
Nothing at all feels right.
It's weird not to hear you bark,
Or watch your tail wag up and down;
Things are already so much different,
Now that you're not around.
They say all dogs go to heaven,
I know that may be true.
But, Cheyenne, you're more than just a dog;
My best friend, I love and miss you.

Cheat, Pts. 1 & 2

Pt. 1:
I believed,
You deceived.
Hurtful lies,
Evil eyes.
I’ll never again,
Believe you, old friend.
The tears I cried,
The pain I’d hide.
I see you with her,
My heart breaks once more.
I thought you were the one,
But it was only for fun.
I’ll never forget,
What you did; And yet,
Each thought brings more hate.
You’re never forgiven; Someday,
I will have my revenge,
And you’ll just want me again.

Pt. 2:
Why did I believe,
You were the one for me?
You never wanted love.
The whole thing was just for fun.
It’s something I’ll never forget,
I’m not even over it yet.
All the time, all the lies.
All the tears that I’d hide.
You never cared, I should’ve known,
That you would soon be gone.
‘Cause that’s how your type is.
A man-whore, that’s how you’ll live.
But, you’ll regret your mistake,
And think about me every day.
You know you’ll want me back,
But, hun, it won’t happen like that.
I’ve moved on from you,
But I still ache over what you do.

Christmas Blues

Snow falls with my dreams;
Happiness isn't what it seems.
You see the smile on my face,
Not even suspecting that it's fake.
Christmas comes along with tears,
Broken promises, unforgiving fears.
For most, this is a happy time;
For me, it just depresses my mind.
I need someone to spend the season with;
Someone to cuddle, to hold, to kiss.
It could have been you here with me,
But you met her and decided to leave.

Heart

The day we met, my life was changed. Since then, it hasn't been the same. You made me realize how sad I'd been, And taught me how to smile again. Since that day, my life's been great; It's like my sadness flew away for good. People say we're crazy for this, But I know things can really last. So we'll stay strong and let them talk, Because I am yours and you have my heart.

Winter

Winter time, when cold sets in,
The loneliness begins again.
Friends and family all around,
But my mind is always love-bound.
Christmas time, love is all you hear,
Reminding me that I have no one near.

Black

Black.
The color of darkness,
The color of evil,
The color of death.
But, why?
I, for one,
Find black to be beautiful.
It is mysterious,
As there is much to be hidden
Behind a black curtain;
It is empowering,
As black outlines tend
To bring out the best in colors.
So, why, I ask,
Is such an endearing color
Associated with such
Horrific words?

Secrets

Lying on the floor,
Blood splattering the tile;
I’ll be fine, she thought,
I’ll just lay here a while.
She glanced at her arms,
Usually porcelain white;
They were lined with red,
The marks made by her knife.
She’d lie there in tears,
Wishing to turn back the time;
Almost eleven months clean,
Sliced away in one night.
She slowly got herself up,
Reached for the bathroom drawer,
Retrieved the familiar supplies,
And fell back to the floor.
Just like the past,
She wrapped her arms tight;
She cleaned the blood off the floor,
To keep the secret of that night.
She put on her jacket,
Long sleeves hiding her scars;
She put the knife back in hiding,
Until she’d use it tomorrow.
She quietly left,
Went on with her day;
And, this cycle repeated,
Until her secret took her away.
