"buttercup"

you are my brazen buttercup
for you, little wee frogs will jump up!

            a new spring has sprung
            as you look into the sun,

and await your best friend, Miss Tulip!

Amorous

you are my amorous armadillo
you reflect in the clouds that billow,

    and when i am lonely
    i think of you only

and whisper your name on my pillow!

"eel Pie"

I'm longing for warm eel pie,
tis' a squirming delight to the eye,

     me wife she eschews,
     eel pie and eel stews,

and eats only fried eel on rye!

Bats

Acrobatic bats circle dark English fields gulping hairy insects joyfully,keeping lazy men
napping on porches,quite regally snoring together,until various wild xenophiles yell zealously!

Avocado

I'm cool, refreshing and I'm green
My lizardlike skin keeps my heart unseen
You can cut me in half
Or mix up my guts-
Spread me around, it does'nt matter that much-
Cuz I'm cool, refreshing and green;
And you love me!

"ptsd"

Post: the brains reaction, after the fact -

Traumatic - the ugly, sad truth that shook me off track!

Stress; exhaustive intrusions keep me on edge -

Disorder - fear of the nightmare that lives in my head!

"battle-Axe"

I'm Made of Iron, Hard and Lean
My Name's Well Known, I'm Wicked Mean!

   Heads Still Moan from My Crack,
   Some Went Under, Upon Their Back;

So if you See Me in a Fight,
Run Like Hell, yea Take Flight!

   For Peace and Mercy I Have'nt Concern;
   It's Blood I Crave, and Yours I Yearn!

"the White Knight"

His path was obscure, his eyes laced with dust;
Persued by clouds and a chill, howling gust-
Loyal to one whose heart he did yearn;
Beset with some hardship at every turn-
His horse has power and spirit indeed,
With stealth he strikes with blazing speed!

The carnage he saw day after day
And wicked men lying in death's array-
Through clashing armor, he needs must go on,
To rescue his love, imprisoned beyond!
The battle was fierce and fought within sight,
Of the maiden so fair, who loved the white knight!

"the Old Farm"

I sat by the fire one dark, stormy night
reading a book which filled me with fright-
My dog was snoozing on the rug by the door,
the cat was meowing and pacing the floor-

The lightning it dazzled as the thunder did crack,
a sudden chill wind had crawled up my back;
I sat up with a start, spilling my cup
which splashed on the dog, waking him up!

He started to barking and chasing the cat,
who jumped on the curtain and tore it in fact-
Now I yelled at them both as I reached for the broom,
bringing silence once more while sweeping the room-

The clock had struck twelve when a knocking I hear,
getting louder and louder as I slowly crept near;
Throwing the latch I peeked out with much care,
greatly surprised, seeing no one out there-

I was very relieved while resuming my book
when a scratch at my window urged me to look-
I peered ever so close at that sinister face,
all green and ferocious, an ogre from space-

The dog stood there laughing and trimming my hair,
and the cat was a'whistling while dancing in air;
I then closed my eyes and started chanting, I think
when a monkey appeared, all portly and pink-

I cried in despair and leapt from my seat,
while a rooster was crowing and pecking my feet;
I readied myself to fly like a rocket,
when a mouse started singing and jumped in my pocket-

I won't tell you no more, I just don't recall
except for a frog, who was fifteen feet tall-
Twas only a dream and I awoke in my bed,
my dog snoring beside me, my cat lickin' my head-

The sights I have seen are no cause for alarm,
I've spent many a year on this haunted old farm!

"nightshade"

you are my naughty Nightshade
my love for you; you waylaid

     no need for melodrama
     my lovely belladonna

just stop poisoning the plans that we made!
