Such Beauty

Why did I walk at dusk I thought
What could there be to see
Just step by step I walk
When a great thing happened
Neon explodes on the horizon
Orange, blue, and a dark red
Brighter than fireworks, I am in awe
But now the grass is moving towards invisible sun
And the darkness quickly swallows the beauty
In a silent shock, I feel so sad
Why did the beauty go
Suddenly another explosion comes
Although not as fierce
almost muffled
I look up at the darkness
And see a beauty unfold like carpet
Infinite light, across a sea of stars
Never have I wanted to fly so much in my life
Just at the chance to touch one
I can’t contain my admiration
I jump and reach as far as I can
And soon I am with the dark again
Only to arise to another stunning horizon
Such beauty, it's amazing

The Ocean I Knew

The ocean stained my eyes this blue
And I always knew this to be so true
That the sea’s bright side
Will change a man’s eyes
Till never he thinks of you

On Poetry Soup

What a lullaby
Rhyming words put on to me
Stimulating soul

Aqua

Floating soul aqua
Beauty always is thy name
You touch the heart, mine

It is raining here today.
These words are the shape manifest of the sight in my heart.

The Tinkerer

These days I work alone
Tinkering and the like
I find it so interesting
Filling gaps in my life
The screws and sharp metal
Filling a hole?
No, making it bigger
Pouring empty into empty
I suppose
He used to tinker
He made old things new
And new things old
He worked long
And his hands were leather
His eyes sharp like metal
His words moved
He was a leader
He was a fighter
He smoked
Grandpa. . .
He was a patient
He was an experiment
They didn’t get it right
He was a holy man
Loved by people
By god
loved by me
Grandpa
The tinkerer

My Town

You know this town was everything
My momma, my girl
Her diamond ring
From birth though, this was the world
The world, again my everything
I lived my whole life
Anger without fraction
With all the words I said
A tone, but no ration
I just want to have a peace
To settle my mind
One gun shot, bloody weep
didn’t come in time
Like I said to my wife
I destroyed it, last call
I ruined the life
Of my son, dead for all
And even at the end
I still try so hard to stall
God, but where to begin

Just a bullet in my brain
Removing the curse
Chilling the pain
Please better not worse
My son you see
My son knew
Dead nodding at me
Its not true
He no, cant be alive
Its not real, not real
Blast myself inside

He’s so afraid
I know my better
Cursed parade
Boom bloody white sweater
Say that he is he
This is not
Not what I was meant to be
But down, down I go
Gun in hand out the window
I think I should frown
But no, I fall
Fall to my town
My town for all

But am I better dead
Well I think I am
Up metal to head
Against skull a bam
That sound
I hate the scream
Repeated over and over
Wait what, a dream
Oh man, what a day
Or I guess a night
One more check, down hallway
I see sleeping son, blessing sight

Mist

The rain falls ahead
Never though touching the ground
I forever walk

Zues and the End

All burned, charred death
Everywhere, forever gone
Hello I joke, killed lovers
Men, nymphs
Old powers quarrel
Rest, still
Telling urgently
Venus wanes xenon
 Yearly….Zeus

I Have a Dream

I have a dream
I am in darkness

I look and see a world
Only wanting evolution
Picking and grabbing
Until all remaining life
is lost in time

I see a world
Conquered, and in pain
By men after men
Wanting only power

I see a world
A Victorian world
Hardworking, truthful, yet full of lies
Those advanced rule all

I see a world
Wanting revolution
Wanting an idea only to change it the next day
Changing in blood

I see a world
Countries still divided
But trying to hold for a hope
A hope of peace and nationalism

I see a world
Of growing towns of steel
And motorized metal
Clanking over a ground unprepared

I see a world
Where men stand up
Different colors, with hands high
Chanting a chant of love
To be free

I see a world
Full of terror
Leaders who struggle
And people who search
For someone to blame

I see a world
A world of blue
Of beauty
With peace, and love
All is well
All are happy
Poverty is gone
And wars, dissolved

Then I awake
I start to cry
I had a dream
