I Am

I was
the hand
that clung to yours
the voice
which made you smile
the touch
that eased your pain
the kiss
upon your cheek

I am
the life
that has been lost
the body
inside this coffin
the sadness
that is your greif
the reason
for your tears

I will be
the memory
which makes you laugh
the ache
inside your heart
the spirit
watching over you
the angel
i always dreamed of being
I will be

Happy New Year - Acrostic

Happy new year is where I begin
A fresh beginning, a clean slate to start
Pointless arguements are all forgotten
Pour the drinks and start to sing
Yes it is the beginning of 2010
New years resolutions to keep
Everyone has different, quit cigarettes one cheers
We'll we give that a day!
You look back on the bad things of the previous year
Enjoyment and laughter, disaster and sadness
Accept the past and look to the future
Remember we are 364 days near to the next happy new year!

For Love of Liliana

On the 30th of June you entered this world,
so cute and content my beautiful girl.
I have never seen such a proud father,
kissing your hands and feeling your feet.
Little blue eyes so hard to forget
wrapped in a pink shawl, you were my princess.
Your brothers smile when he first met you.
He stroked your cheek and called your name.
But, it was too late my tiny princess.
The angels couldn't wait any longer.
On the 30th of June you left this world,
so peaceful and pale my beautiful girl:Liliana

The Guitar-B.B King

A man once told him he would never succeed,
B.B King was not to give up.
He would strive until the end, until he got his shot.
All he wanted was one chance to strum on his guitar
To be heard in front of a crowd
To be hailed a star.

A man once told him to never give up on the dream
B.B would not, he was a dreamer
He wanted a chance to show them he could play
To do this he must, perform without error.
He continued to play
he felt heard
as he strummed away

Each Day and Each Night

Once upon a time,
lived a princess
who wore a robe
which covered her feet
each day and each night
she dreamed of the day
her prince charming found her

Once upon a time,
lived a young girl
who wore barely nothing
and shivered and shaked
each day and each night
she dreamed of the day
she had food to eat

Once upon a time,
lived a baby girl
who wore no nappy
and lay there stone cold
each day and each night
she dreamed of the day
her parents cared

After a while,
the pretty princess
who wore a crown on her head
which shined so bright
searched for prince charming
each day and each night
but still no luck

After a while,
the yawning young girl
who wore bags under her eyes
grew tired of looking
but kept on searching
each day and each night
for scraps to eat

The end,
for the pretty princess
who wore a white dress
on her big day
found her prince charming
together they stayed
After a while,
the beautiful baby
who wore teary eyes
gave up all hope
but tried so so hard
each day and each night
for a loving stare

The end,
for the pretty princess
who wore a white dress
on her big day
found her prince charming
together they stayed
each day and each night

The end,
for the yawning young girl
who wore a pale face
on her final day
never found them few scraps
starving she stayed
each day and each night

The end,
for the beautiful baby
who wore a clean nappy
on the new day
finally found that loving stare
with a new family she stayed
each day and each night

Boys, Men, Soldiers, Heroes

A day of rememberence
a day of joy but sadness
a day of thank you's
a day of memories

Boys who learned to grow up quickly
boys who were whisked away from all they knew
boys who put on their uniform
boys who sharred one thing in common, pride

Men who fought for our country
men who left families behind
men who took their final journey
men who fought for what is now

Soldiers who suffered in the trenches
Soldiers who dodged the bullets
Soldiers who had no salvation
Soldiers who stood proud for us

Heroes who died out on the front line
Heroes who never lived to see this day
Heroes who just made it to D-day
Heroes who were our boys, men and soldiers

A day of celebration along with grief
a day of sorrow along with pride
a day of realistaion
of just how many never returned
from a cold war
boy's,men and soldiers

Little Soldier

my little soldier
stand tall
be proud of who you are
and the things you acheive
never let them put you down
you are my little king
now put on your crown

my little soldier
be brave
appreciate the things you have
and the things you do
be careful throughout your life
look after your children
take care of your wife

my little soldier
show love
care for your family
and the friends you have
follow your dreams
keep people close to your heart
things are never as difficult as they seem

Listen
little soldier
make me proud

Keep Pushing

When you feel like giving up be strong
Because you only get one shot at this life
Hold your own and keep pushing along
Don't do it for your son, mother or wife
But for yourself
Keep pushing on

Do not let your life just pass you by
Stand and be accounted for
Never frown, moan or sigh
God will judge you on what he saw
Heaven will await you
Keep pushing on

Look back at your life and never question why?
Do not regret anything you have done
Never dwell or cry
What can you do now my son?
Judgement day is here
Keep pushing on

If I Could Talk To God..

i'd like to ask you some questions
if you will speak the truth to me
how do you sleep at night
knowing the homeless are on the streets
knowing bombs are falling
and children are crying
how do you sleep at night
when earthquakes rip apart some ones home
when floods wash away all he had
and pregnant women are starving

i'd like to ask you some questions
if you will speak the truth to me
what do you see when you look in the mirror
are you proud?
knowing you created this mess
knowing you are responsible
for deaths
what do you see when you look in the mirror
are you proud
when you are supposed to be our almighty
when you are supposed to protect us
look at us now

Christmas Desire

Each and Every December
the material things surface
I want, I want
But what if the thing you want most
You cannot buy or have ?

Each and Every
gift given or recieved
One after another
Is not the thing you long for most
Tears surface as it hits you

Each and Every
tear that is shed
Drop after drop
Cannot bring you your desire
as the thing you desire is gone

Each and Every
wintery night that comes
Snowflake upon snowflake
melts just as your heart does
as you look at that picture

Each and Every
smiling child
smile after smile
reminds me of what i long for
my beautiful girl

Each and Every
Christmas season
Santa comes Santa goes
reminds me of what my girl has missed
and deepens the hole in my heart

Each and Every December
people of this world
nationality after nationality
all desire something they cannot have
but yet this happy season
does not bring them comfort
but pain and memories
What is it you want ?
