The Promise of Love

Regret written on our foreheads,
With invisible ink,
That only we can see,

I wish things could've been different,
But how great would things be,
Who knows what a minor change would bring,

I had given up,
My heart became numb,
I didn’t care,
About anyone who was there,

I had wept,
As a mental picture of you crept,
Through my mind,
Forgetting the bread crumbs behind,

Maybe,
The future is where our love stands,
Waiting for us to entwine our hands,
I would be there till the end of the earth,
I would be exactly what you deserve,

Not even time will hold us apart,
For I gave my heart,
And I can’t buy it back,
Your stuck with my love and I’m sorry about that,

I can’t promise you we would last,
Only time can tell that,
I can promise you I love you,
No matter what separates our path.

Dial Tone

Don’t take me for granted and don’t leave me alone,
Because maybe when you call next time I won’t be at home,
At home,
You should’ve known,
You set yourself up for the dial tone,
Dial tone,

I’ve been used,
I’ve been battered and bruised,
But when it comes down to it,
I’m stronger than you,

I won’t run from the starting gun,
I won’t be afraid to love someone,
Someone,
I’ve been so afraid all these years,
Given into all my fears,
I refuse, I refuse
I won’t run away from you,

Give me reasons in your own words,
Give me freedom with a truthful sword,
It may hurt but it’ll be my board,
To lead me on to something more,

Just give me honesty,
Give me something,
Because I’m torn,

I want to give him what I gave to you,
But you took everything I had with you,
Set me free,
Leave me be,

Don’t take me for granted and don’t leave me alone,
Because maybe when you call next time I won’t be at home,
At home,
You should’ve known,
You set yourself up for the dial tone,
Dial tone,

Leave Me Be, Let Me Go

I am there when you ask,
And it all ends in tears,
Making it difficult,
To get through these years,
Please leave me be,
Please let me go,

I’m not to blame,
For situations you create,
Forgive me for speaking of
your selfish ways,
But it all was caused because you were pain,
Please leave me be,
Please let me go,

Given the strength,
To walk away,
I can’t ignore the way of things,
Father, I love you,
As much as you think it isn’t so,
I must ask you to leave me be,
And let me go,

I am no longer a child,
Ready to step in the wild,
Please leave me be,
Please let me go,

When you stuck that gun into your mouth,
I remembered the little girl I forgot all about,
Now is the time,
I have realized,
For you to leave me be,
And let me go.

Macho Man(Re-Edited)

You act arrogant,
Seeming belligerent,
Oh, how I feel for the macho man,

Looking to settle a score,
Lost at the core,
Soon he’ll hit the floor,
Oh, how I feel for the macho man,

Running by vengeance,
Lost all common sense,
Oh, how I feel for the macho man,

Strength comes within,
Not in the revenge you could get,
Soon you’ll feel karma hit,
Oh, how I feel for the macho man,

I’ve tried to give my help,
You said go to hell,
I can’t help you play,
With all the hearts you break,
Maybe that’s why there is all the hate,
For innocence sake,
Find reason,
Stop your love treason,
Stop your painful lesions,
Give life to what’s around you,
Not the feeling of what we already knew,

Oh, how I feel for you macho man.

Cellophane

I hear the world buzzing by,
In silence I rely,
Yet I cry,
For I see with my hearts eyes,

Cellophane should be my name,
Invisible I remain,
Screaming out in vain,

Even invisible he use to see,
Now he is blind to all thats me,
My curse is feeling,

Caring,
Yet I'm all alone,
With cellophane I am home,
We are sharing,

Bearing the pain of loneliness,
Sharing the shame of knowing it,
We're invisible and incompetent,

And so he's blind you see,
But yet he supposedly loves me.

I Have Said All That I Can Say.

With my words silence has taken their place,
At least there isn’t words I wish to erase,

Don’t tell me I’m running away from a good thing,
Don’t tell me I hurt you,
Don’t tell me I just want escape,
Don’t tell me you see through,
Don’t tell me you know what I want in his place,
Don’t tell me your true,

Most of all don’t say I love you,

With time his memories will fade,
The sun will come out in the sea of shade,
Until that day,
I ask you only to stay away,

With my words silence has taken their place,
Because I’ve said all I can say.

Future Declaration

On a mission greater than myself,
Thinking of the greater future an nothing else,
Spending time relinquishing the old system,
For reconstruction,
For the beauty which may stem,
Binding through confusion,
So clarity can be the guide,
Pardon for the declaration,
The declaration of future life,
Of unity and tranquility,
Of community and the decease of hostility,
Through the change we should celebrate,
For saying good bye to history,
And hello to the future the new world will create,
What will lie ahead is mystery,
However the obstacles ahead are fate,
That will lead us to our slate,
Cherish our children for they are blessed,
To see the future at it’s best,
There is no end to the life,
Just a change that will end the scalding knife.

I Just Wanted To Say Thank You.

Thank you,
Thank you for the love given to my life,
And the kindness I find,
Thank you for whatever time,

Thank you,
Thank you for the love,
And the ability to see the stars above,
Thank you for the shove,

Thank you,
Thank you for the gifts,
And the changing shifts,
Thank you for the fists,

Thank you,
Thank you for the people I meet,
And a front row seat,
Thank you for the treat,

Thank you,
Thank you for the sight,
And the will not to fight,
Most of all,
Thank you for my life.

Mishap

How strange,
How my body has changed,
Could it be that a baby’s on the way?

Fear settled as the motherly requirements flooded through my head,
Will like me or hate me instead?
I pondered and pondered ,
Not finding answers,

A day that I want to forget,
Pregnancy test after pregnancy test,
Telling me what I utmost regret,
Pregnant then not pregnant,
As blood seeped down my pants,

Tears welled in my eyes,
I couldn’t help cry,
I felt my body slowly change back,
Knowing in my heart about the mishap,

The questions faded,
As quickly as they had been created,
There’s a reason it hadn’t made it.

Born to be a mother,
Yet it can’t be created,
I comfort myself as well as my lover,

My purpose may be,
To help a child already in need,
Either way I’m not quite ready,

My day will come,
When I can give a child,
A really great mom.
