Janice Herzog Poem
In my dreams I think of you
And pray you're not too good to be true
Such loving, tender words you wrote for me
Is this love meant to be?
I want to try and stay asleep
Because while there, you're mine to keep
I need to know for sure
If you are my heavenly cure
Desiring love, I'll try once more
From your heart I feel love pour
While I always want to dare,
Know in my soul I'll forever care
I'm somewhat afraid to hope it's true
For I've been hurt by more than a few
Maybe you're my fated one
Sent to be my destined hon

Janice Herzog Poem
Are you here, or just a dream?
For things aren't as they seem
When I sleep, you come to me
With a heart so lovingly
Do you want me to be only yours,
Or only added to your scores?
Am I crazy, is this real?
Can this be your love I feel?

Janice Herzog Poem
Hurtful things you say,
Tear me apart in every way
Think before you speak to me,
Because I will not let it be
I treat you nice, and show some slack,
But there are times I will strike back
Even though you are my relative,
If you want love, be sure to give
For I am sensitive just like you,
I have feelings and can hurt too!
Written after my mom said something really mean to me about my Granddaughter
Genevieve on Easter Sunday.

Janice Herzog Poem
There is this guy in my library,
And he's making me very uneasy
I sat next to him one time,
But the choice wasn't mine
It was the only computer open,
And no words were ever spoken
I think he likes me, but I don't see why,
I never once gave him any reply
Monday, he came up from behind and said to me,
I've been reading and copying your poetry
I asked, where did you get it from?
He said nothing, but instead just acted dumb
He said he knows all of my poetry sites,
But he never asked if it was all right
He must have been watching my screen,
And mentally noting what he'd seen
Tuesday, he chased me after I went outside,
And asked me if I wanted a ride
I told him no, I'm waiting for the bus,
And he put up a really big fuss
I'm starting to get really afraid,
And am feeling like an animal's prey
How do I get him to leave me be,
Should I inform mall security?

Janice Herzog Poem
I have a certain cat,
Who's such a spoiled brat
Tippy is his name,
And eating is his game
He whines early each day,
As in my bed asleep I lay
His loud purring in my ear,
Is all that I can ever hear
He's always wanting more,
Of his dinner for me to pour,
In to his silver food dish,
So he can eat it with great relish
Next, he wants to chase his ball,
To and fro down my hall
Then finally, he likes to take a nap,
While being curled up in my lap

Janice Herzog Poem
It was fate that I found you,
And I now know you want me too
For when at first we met,
I hoped that we would get
Our two hearts to become one,
Cause mine you've already won

Janice Herzog Poem
You claimed to be in love with me,
But then you turned away suddenly
I opened my heart to you
And broke it anyway you chose to do
I want you to know that I'm nobody's fool
Instead, I'm a very rare jewel
I never even got the time
For you to say to me, please be mine
You hurt me with such delight,
Couldn't you see it wasn't right?
Now I'm aching deep down inside
Because of how and why you lied
Written about my ex-boyfriend, Bob

Janice Herzog Poem
During a boat ride on the Fourth of July,
I looked out at the evening sky
And saw a beautiful sun setting over the lake
The most prettiest pastel colors it did make
That water made me feel so serene,
Almost as if it were a dream
Then, there were fireworks going way off high,
Lighting up the warm summer sky
It was very romantic as it faded away,
And was a perfect end to a lovely holiday

Janice Herzog Poem
My sensual desire for you,
Is so unlike any that I knew
You have captured my heart,
Right from the very start
I want to feel your touch so bad,
That you're in every dream I've had
I want to give you all of me,
In every single way, completely

Janice Herzog Poem
I'm wishing on this Thanksgiving day,
That we all take the time to pray
For those who aren't with us here,
But are in our hearts all the year
Know we're sending you lots of love,
Cause every day you're thought of
