Forgiveness and Blame
Forgiveness
Merciful, kindhearted
Absolving, spiritualizing, uplifting
Benevolence, compassion, coldness, malevolence,
Condemning, secularizing, depressing
Cruel, hardhearted,
Blame

Failed Attempt
I really tried to complete the task,
My wastebasket,
Filled with every failed attempt.
The directions seemed so easy,
"Please include this quote"
It was so beautifully uplifting
I tried, to combine our works.
But no matter how I wrote it,
My words refused to blend.

Love for Thee
castles inviting
drawbridge closing
love for thee
armor washed

love for thee
carols uplifting
birthright claimed
love for thee
dungeon empty
maidens awaiting
love for thee
candy succulent
coffee percolates
love for thee
milk skimmed
hearts festive
love for thee

write someone some soupmail
It seems to me
That no one can see
How the people can get happy
From just one story
About how much glee
I can guarantee
That he
Or she
Would like some random soupmail about the
Poetry
(Write someone some soupmail
You won’t BEIEVE how uplifting it is
Just to talk to someone about their poems)

The Fall
The crescendo of the leaves
combined with a cool crisp blustery breeze
Children toting animated backpacks
Squirrels nervously adding to their winter stacks
Trees putting on a colorful display
vying for attention as they gently sway
Invites to attend the Monsters Ball
All Uplifting to the Soul

Childlike
I can laugh all night
Until sunrise
That might sound childish
I can act foolish
But I deserve
To be treated right
I’m proud of myself
For preserving my
My child innocence
I can be naïve
But I’d rather
Use my childlike brains
I have a grand gift
Of uplifting
The distraught spirits
I can be mature
But who cares...I’m
Happy-go-lucky

Teddy Bear
A teddy bear is soft and snuggly,
it makes you feel nice and cuddly,
it keeps you warm and makes you feel safe from harm,
it gives you sweet dreams and lovely memories.
It makes you light up when you feel down,
it makes your frown turn upside down,
so next time you need some uplifting,
just remember , teddy doesn't mind the sniffling.

Defying Gravity
Away behind clouds defying, even fighting gravity
heaven in juxtaposition
kites leaping merrily
now on pivotal quickening,reaching skyward
tailspinning upon very wide x's

I'd like to dedicate this to Andrea Dietrich for her always encouraging words
and comments on my poetry that are uplifting...I appreciate it so much...

Vibrations
sad notes from a lonely oboe
coupled with uplifting melodies from a violin
concert penetrates my mind

Darkest Chocolate
i am the darkest chocolate of the family
bringing warmth and smiles for miles
watch me closely lest i melt
inserted into mouth
place on tongue
the smell of chocolate what a paradise
i ache for more
though i am chocolate, i still enjoy
it's darkest flavor uplifting
inhale the feeling and recover
do not resist another bite
it is not a secret
dark chocolate
chocolate dark

Interpretation of a Madman
With wings of grace spread adrift
You always seem to soar into the night.
With days so brisk and air so shallow
I'm amazed that you can function at all.
Your stature shows your strength
And your mind reveals your ability.
Had I never met you I would still be blind.
For your courage and faith I admire you,
For your wisdom and strength I adore you,
And for your uplifting spirit I cherish you!

Nesting
The horrid hollowness of the empty nest,
viewed without a redress, empty nest.
Years of doting, uplifting, caring
bring forth a man of kindness, empty nest.
The sun which rose with his laughter
sets with a mother’s loneliness, empty nest.
Let my heart sing with each memory
of cuddled child breathless, empty nest.
Remembering you, longing for your smile,
brings meaning home, fullness to empty nest.

Do Not
Do not stand at her ashes and weep
Shes not there she dosen't sleep
She is a thousand winds that blow
She's that dimonds that glints on snow
She's the sunlight on ripend grain
She's the gentle autum rain
When you awaken in theh mornings hush
She's the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
She's the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand at her ashes and cry
She's not there she did'nt die

Pink Rose
Silked and velvet linings, sweet and sweated dew,
of pink lining coating pettals flattery in mist of dew.
Blooming of this rosie blossom, uplifting head in sky,
wondering and drifting- water of mist splatters, she cries.
Alone in the mire, befriended with her stones and pot,
and wind be thrashing- roaring hit her velvet in one shot.
Flattery flower! Flushed of pink desires,
perished, alas, alone in the wetted mire.

O Thank You, O Thank You, My Dear Lord
How uplifting it is
To live, with you, in peace
How grateful I am
To be lifted, from my shame
O God, I come to worship you
Today, I promise to be true
With my offering, unto you, I bring
Of thanks and praises, I long to sing
Though, unworthy of your great blessings
I pray forgive me, for I’ve done evil things
Chorus:
O thank you, O thank you, my dear Lord
You spared me from your Angel’s sword
Amen

Silent Poet
In winter I nestle
under your quilt warming me
till snow melts.
In spring I bloom
from your quilt to bear fruits
of everlasting joy.
In summer I watch
hordes of backpackers, under my shades
as heat wave makes them bored.
In fall I remember
you, my sanctuary, full of uplifting smiles
as I, slowly, turn into gray.
Before your eyes I became
the silent poet, longing for your warm
embrace when winter, again, comes.

We All Doubt Sometimes
Faith is a tricky word
It's sometimes hard to keep
wondering if our prayers are heard
If he guards us while we sleep
Faith can be uplifting
It can help us through the day
In our hearts faith will sing
and show us the lighted way
Faith it isn't easy
To constantly believe
We cannot always see
When life would have us grieve
Faith will never perish
It comes in many forms
It's something we should cherish
Faith calms the biggest storms

Help!!!!!
The ground is very shaky with buildings falling down
The water turned tsunami flowing fast and tearing us apart
In every face that I see there is nothing but a frown
We need to take initiative a rescue we must start
When fighting to find people who were trapped in every way
Keep your heart uplifting so people can hear you say
"Is anyone still in there" "We are here to get you free"
"I will help you out of there" "Just so you can be"

Your Heart of Gold
Many of you have visited me
In this little corner of our world
Where words are measured
And viewed as treasures
From somewhere deep within;
Yet rarely have I said, “Thank you”
To all my poetic friends.
For stopping by with good cheer and warmth
Wishing me fare thee well;
Yet rarely do I reciprocate
Your uplifting magic spell.
Like star dust sprinkled everywhere
From the kindness you extol;
This simple phrase is all I have
To thank your heart of gold.

Inflatable Christmas
Christmas lights on almost every house
And in the yard, a newer sight
Santas, Snowmen, and Penguins too
Bouncing about, as if to take flight
Tethered by air hoses and plastic spikes
They strain and dance in their plight
But in the morning they lay in a heap
Not such a cheerful or uplifting sight
Christmas cheer comes again at dark
A tribute to some decorating fun
Magical creatures again sit upright
Alive again until dawn has come

Hope
With all of it's power you would expect it could be seen,
But this is the way it wants to remain the invisable machine.
Some people say its overused, we use it quite alot
But unlimited it still remains from our first day in the cot.
An internal barrier given at the start of life,
Try cut it rip it anything not even with a knife.
So mind this special uplifting word and use it when your low
Cause hope is here forever to grow and grow and grow.

Sunday Nostalgia
The morning was warm
With it’s very first blow of spring
The way the sun was shining
And the sky that was unusually clear
Enlightened the empty streets
As we were searching for a sip of coffee
I can still recall the uplifting feeling
Your Camel tasted better than usually
I wonder if you remember the morning
In which the sun was shining
And the walk through the freshness
Awakened our senses
Though we were still asleep
In that morning carried by the freshest breeze.

WORSHIP
thy soul longs for,
thy body needs.
unmeasurable measure of your worth,
where praises and uplifting meets.
in your own words,
sanctified in in HIS presence.
working for and in HIS ways,
worshiping every day:
we are made to do so,
so we are not lost,
reminding us,
who we should trust,
partaking in His glory,
revealed in HIS justified righteousness.
for few are called;
nowadays, even fewer wants to hear,
so hasten not your hearts,
casue even fewer are chosen to lead the worship.

Take a left over the Moon
a divine travel flowing into space
carrying more it seemed than the human race
pulsating madly throughout the spans of time
zipping around the signs of cloud nine
my companion hovers over the meadow green
everything made of cotton candy like i have never seen
the bridge is marked with flowerpots so withered in rust
the breeze is uplifting me in it's powerful gust
rocks of marble, sand like peanut butter
the moon blushes so festive causes my heart to flutter
a left over the moon

It was just a year ago...
the skies were blue,
the seas did roar,
the tree who grew
and crows that cowl.
the bells would ring,
the wind would sting,
the snow would fall,
the rodents would crawl
the shifting earth,
the uplifting soul,
that childish mirth,
or that muddy puddle and hole.
I had my kiss,
I had my share,
I had my ride,
I had my hair.
I had my heart,
I had my strength,
I was but smart,
I took things to lenght.
But that was just a year ago...

Effortlessly
The bough that cracks in midnight sleeping,
split from tree and hurled toward the stony earth,
struck by lightning, forked and sweeping,
burned to ashes, stripped of worth.
The rock that dreams in ocean hollows,
by salt abrasive water broken to a grain of sand,
a microcosmic state which follows
insubstantial of dry land.
My love is stoic, never shifting,
unlike the sand or degraded bark of tree,
it is yours alone, resolute and uplifting,
gloriously given...effortlessly.

If Only, I Could...
Lying on a beautiful sand beach,
My eyes look towards the luminous sky;
Gives me the feeling of being a writer,
Gazing on a white empty sheet!
Ink-blue sea water splashes onto my naked feet,
Its coldness chills the dead cells to react,
An uplifting moment for me to act,
Daydreaming, about the brighter side of life!
If only, I could read and write,
Then, my unfinished life would be upright,
‘Cos through my works and writings,
I can influence the world, for the better!
