A Fellow's Introspection 2K12
Dare I further toast therewith gradual death?
Poison's wrath; My best bottled each drinks end.
Dare I endure a painful lonesome death?
Perhaps? Tho' I prefer not my old false friend.

INTROSPECTION by GENDER
Resolving with age,
the conflict “hard versus dark.”
‘Twill be “dark” all night!
Haiku for a New Year Resolution.
For many, this may well become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Fresh Start ~ sort of
My heart on the clothesline
drip drying in evening’s breeze
washed in introspection
rinsed in morning dew
fresh and clean and new ~
till an evil little birdie
flew by
and
pooped on me

NATURAL REFLECTIONS
By a pool of stillness
so silently I sat,
Its water unforgiving-
deep and mirror flat;
A mood of introspection
flooded memories,long unseen,
A future planned together
an ethereal what might have been.

Reflection
Reflection, purposeful inspection,
Is a heartfelt, revealing,
Pensive introspection,
And a soulful search for healing
The daily mirrored glance
Is simply a refraction
With very little chance
Of being more than a distraction

Interlude 014 (Trinsic)
Intrinsic failing is all good and well.
But too much stargazing makes my heart swell.
Ruptured emotions in lieu of mistakes.
A failed romantic interlude and how my heart breaks.
Corners beneath perception.
Disgraced and dying introspection.

Misconceptions of Perceptions
As you peer at self reflection
Be mindful of misconception
Consider others’ perception
To guide in the right direction
Are you as you appear
This requires much introspection
To see your portrait clear

ANCIENT-MODERN
i've found
There is more to introspection,
On the flying wings of life.
as I try to plumb
its recesses with my halo-genic light.
I never see the shadows, although I suppose
They must be there, yet if they don’t project on me
I don’t see that I should care.

My Great Encounter
A mental pilgrimage
beyond the horizon
of mind,
unrefined.
Self introspection,
pricked my conscience
with your double edged
remarks.
Realization shattered
self-complacency
mushroomed
in my untamed self.
On the verge
of desolation
I encountered you
my Teacher
who took me
to the unending vista
of imagination.

Introspection of the Murderer [Mannequin Series 3]
What are you?
A broken puppet
you kept on heart strings,
or a fallen angel,
you took my wings.
A living mannequin
you turned back to plastic dry.
A porcelain doll
you made the glass tears I cry.
All your words became lies,
you have a strangers eyes
who did you become in his skin?
A murderer. You killed the mannequin.

Spindle
Spiritually it spun me around in circles
Peering deep within my soul, it encircles
Indigo colored waves of the spectrum
Needlessly filtered out of introspection
Down into the rabbit hole of realization
Leery of the truth and capitalization of
Ending it too early
So I didn't and I kept spinning on this spindle
Orchestrated to end it on a higher note

Echoes of the Heart
serenading soul's introspections
canzonet of reverberations
as nostalgia pulls at the heart strings
memories, the heart's symphony brings
introspection strains fill my senses
soothing to let down my defenses
a poesy of echoes then take reign
like a balm, alleviating pain
through life's ups and downs reminiscing
heartbeat of an echo sparks blessing.

Misty Rain
M oving steadily like bands of ghosts
I ndifferent to the weakened rays of the sun
S oft as rose petals falling on my skin
T ickling, playfully teasing, fantasy
Y ielding air as fresh as morning dew
R endering these quiet moments for introspection
A s earth tone colored leaves dance in mid air
I vites me for a quick walk through the park
N o other season like autumn does it for me

Web of Deception
Prey on the naive
Through tangles you deceive
But no one can believe
Which web you choose weave
Avoiding introspection
Witness and correction
Fulfill natural selection
Patience and aggression
Can you keep up
With the lies you try to sell?
Count them on your fingers
How many can you tell?
Caught in your own web
Everyone is ready to leave
What will you do when you can no deceive?

Welcome to the Parade
Welcome to the parade
Where lost souls and memories
Come to gather
Everyone wants to enter
And everyone wants to leave
But only the entrance is free
It’s all black and white and Technicolor
Pixels and polygons
Where the old collides with the new
Take a ride on regret
Have a bite of introspection
And be sure to take a picture
And when all is said and done
Pay up your exit fee
And have a safe trip home

today so soon tomorrow
Endings
begin at the beginning.
Between hello
and goodbye,
we stand raw
and exposed
sailing on swells
of introspection
pain
love
hope
each other . . .
friendships forged in
all that
and more.
And I have often wondered
where ~
when time moves along
~ else there is to go
but up on the roof
to dance in the saddest
tears that ever fell.

Praying
Go down to the river and pray
Till you covered in mold and decay
In this time of introspection
You are finding your reflection
The river is murky and deep
People have minds and hearts to keep
All people gather there
The sounds of silence ring loudly in the air
Through times of grief and times of sorrow
And all the happiness to come and to follow
People die and people soar
And the river flows forever more

Tony Ls DREAMS
Tony Ls DREAMS
great confusion of a poem,
of the tortoise and the gnome,
and i love the rabid flow,
and now i'm going home,
with introspection blown,
my derilection. LOVE IT MATE
Russell...
Ah the booze will get you down,
hangover bouncing round,
till your skull it rattles with the thunder,
your head smacks the ground,
the world goes round an round,
and that's why i'm here in the sweetest down under:)

The Neighbors as Time Persists
And the pity’s infected their whispers.
And the advice arrives in the mail.
No return addresses;
No self-revelations.
There are so many smiles,
I could wallpaper the sky.
I could trade introspection for consolation.
The carolers stopped singing
outside my door
in favor of mingling with a couple
who’ve inferred my reality.
I’ve passed by and only nodded
to their whispers drowned out
by keys in the locks.

Dam
Spend some time alone in introspection
Weigh yourself against the status quo
Suddenly you’ll realize on reflection
Every body’s going with the flow
To stand alone while others hurry faster
Requires a steady lean against the rush
And like a rock within a stream of falling
The shelter you provide will be a rill
A place for life to feed and spawn or rest
A haven for the sands of time to fill
Mayhap a seed will tree to hold a nest

Last Hour
In the last hour
You beg for mercy
No compassion can be shown to you
For you have dwindled your time
Lacking introspection
You failed to acknowledge your transgressions
With humble repentance
You failed to take your penance for your sinister sins
No one here to cloak them for you
You will have to take this road alone
Not much chance of loosing yourself
For it is wide and short
And full of other troubled souls who waited too late

Broadcast #7
She sees herself obsessed
with perfection, utterly lost
without positive direction;
confounded by the thought
of indiscretion, she needs
some space, some time,
some introspection.
Confounded, self defense
Becomes digression,
not knowing if she's penned
the right correction; her mentor
had the nerve to take vacation
and left her in a mess
of speculation.
His Monday morning dose
Of adoration, has been put
On hold.

The poet and the jester (on embracing duality)
It is the conversation
between the poet and the jester.
The poet- with solemn introspection;
the jester- with careless regard,
each captivating the other.
It is the ultimate irony
of this unlikely coupling,
entwining their words,
combining truth and mischief,
sabotaging established decorum.
Neither threatened nor contrite,
nor challenging the others' wisdom,
but with enthusiastic fornication
and eager indecency
they consecrate their mutual madness
