The Last Time
The
last time
I went trick-
or-treating, the
nosy patrons had
the nerve to ask me, “Well,
what are you for Halloween?”
An adult pretending to be
a five-foot, seven inches tall kid
wearing a golden graduation gown
I graduated in four years ago.

Graduation
I throw my soul
To the beasts
Allowing them to feast
Praying for a seize in catastrophe
Feed my beloved children
For I am resurrected
And no longer in need of the old ideas
The pungent figure had erected
This sinister situation
Has lost its passion
Today is graduation
Prevail in fine fashion

PHD
got a PHD
from the universityl of
hard knocks
the sheep skin framed
and hanging on my wall
reminding me of
my accomplishments
graduating with honors
top of my class
no one could touch me
studied hard for that
as I move the tassel
from the left to right
shaking hands with
those that taught me
on graduation night

When I do – you do (2005)
Every mile I walk, you walk with me
When ever I feel pain, that’s where you will be
What ever I achieve is through your support
Everything I know is what you taught
The day I graduated my love grew
I only succeeded because of you
The second time round you have me that lift
That graduation day was a gift
What ever you do toy do it for me
What ever I do I do it for we.

Through the eyes of Jewelry
Creative is the girl
making her own jewelry
painting her own style
using her own imagery
ecstatic are the teens
with their class rings
thinking 'celebration'
in a year at graduation
giddy is the woman
with her engagement diamond
grinning ear to ear
as she plans her wedding reception
sleepy is the mom
making a ring for her daughter
hoping to inspire
creativity in another

Little John
As little John went out to play
On a warm, beautiful, and sunny day
He heard his mother to him say
"I love you, my little John."
And then quite tall her Johnny grew
His graduation cap he threw
She said "My son, I say adieu,
and I love you, my little John."
He visited her in the town of St. Beth
Around her wrapped the arms of death
She uttered with her final breath
"I love you, my little John..."

Child Of Mine
How innocent are thee?
Sleeping in your crib
So peacefully
Children look up 2
Watching everything you do
How sweet it is to watch a child grow
And mature
To buying their first car
And celebrating graduation
Their first prom
The day they settle down
In a nice home
And have kids.
Child of mine
How sweet is thee?
To watch u grow up and get married
How proud to say that I’m your mother today.

My Dearest Friend
To my dearest friend on this your graduation night.
Let me say there are no words that can truly express what you mean to me.
It seems not long ago we just met.
Now look at you with your cap and gown.
How proud of you I am this very night.
Tears of joy I will cry for you as this is just a stepping stone on the road of life for you.
Loving you always on this road shared, yet not. Your friend in Christ

Alex Graduation Day
Alex
Graduation day comes every year
With joy, happiness and even a tear
You’re a tall slender red head
As pretty as can be and with that said
Your getting older and you will leave
We say goodbye and in you we believe
How proud we all are
With schooling and study you will go far
With love in our heart
A new venture you will start
Stay safe and be careful being on your own
We love and will miss you even if your grown

Graduation Day
On this your graduation day, let it be said that pride is
just one of many things felt
This day is set aside to acknowledge all the many
Accomplshments you have achieved
As you walk across the stage, look back and smile.
Look ahead, knowing that whatever path you take,
You are never alone.
For you take a piece of those left behind with you.
So smile, laugh, and cry knowing where ever you go
And whatever you do, we are always with you

Remembering Him
I can’t pay attention,
They have deprived me of my perception.
My nose hurts, my eyes are sore and my frown is painful.
In a room of people who never knew him.
So sadly only I’ve seen him in eighth grade.
I was the M.C. at his graduation.
He ran up to the mic. He thanked for the award.
“Thank you”, he said.
Everyday in my mixed grade class,
He would sometimes make everyone laugh.
I wasn’t close to him, but knew enough
From seeing him and his crew everyday.

high sChOOL
He said, She said
That's all you seem to hear
When you walk down the hall
It's the same thing every year
Unecessary drama
That's all high school's about
You can try to avoid being trapped in it
But you'll never find a way out
Life was so simple
Before our high school days
Before we became caught up
In the 'how to be popular' craze
High school's so overrated
Ive waited 13 years to say
Im a senior so leave me out of it
I'm just here til Graduation Day

The Graduation Announcement
The Graduation Announcement
By Elton Camp
To get a gift, it was an obvious try
The name we could barely identify
One to whom we couldn’t relate
Why would we go see graduate?
At the bottom there was a website
“Go here to see what is my delight”
So that site is where we then went
As to the desired gift it gave a hint
The graduate not subtly let all know
By showing a pile of cash with a bow
In our case, it would be a total loss
Into the trash the invite we did toss

ON RETIREMENT
On Retirement
Retiring or retirement
An innovation to graduation
Whether it be retirement or graduation
There’ll be definitely another actions coming.
Retirement is seeking another endeavor
Why the thought you are in a junction
If we go on the negative of retiring
Then turn passiveness the next time.
So, if you are really tired
Then leap another through
Of tiring or resting
Therefore, you are not in a crossroad
But between active rather than passive!

No More
Today I realized everyone is moving in a different direction
I knew before graduation I had to write you this reflection
Lives are changing and lockers are no more
High school was just one big bore
Lives were shattered
And nothing ever mattered
We tried to smile and fake our laughter
There’s no such thing as ever after
Some our moving out
And our futures hold a lot of doubt
I just wanted to say that some of it was fun
But it doesn’t matter because it’s all done

I'll Be Your Teacher
I'll be your teacher baby,
I'll learn you how to love.
Don't even think about maybe,
you know my hand fits your
glove.
Sugar, I'll teach you to lick the
honey,
and not get stung by the bee.
You can pay me a little money,
or you can get it all for free.
I'll drop you off the cliff,
leave you laying on the floor.
I'll hand you a handkerchief,
as I show you the front door.
Don't worry about your
infatuation,
We'll go from first grade, all the
way to graduation.

Congratulation on Your Graduation
Congratulation on Your Graduation
Congratulation with my
Blessing and my love
Who have achieved and accomplish
The first part of your world
You made it through the first grade,
The third, and now twelfth
Congratulation: I know
You are proud of yourself
God made an angel, and
You are special in this world
With parents pushing you
Along with prayers and love
You mastered the best in your field,
Knowing that you can learn it
Congratulations child
Halleluiah! You’ve done it!!

My Best Friend and Mom
She stood there smiling
as I walked the line,
The day had finally come
it is my graduation time.
She stood there crying
as I lay in the bed,
Happy as can be she said
"I can see her head!"
She stood there crying
with a broken heart,
After Katrina quickly
tore our lives apart.
My mom is not only
a mom as you can see,
She is so much more for
she is a BEST FRIEND to me.
For this I know is
her love has no lack,
I would do anything for her;
even walk from hell and back.
