The Walls of Egypt

I only remembered it for a minute second
Some dream bound for the black hole.
A minuscule moment it was
Slipping into the fabric of no dimension.
The actor forgetting their single stage moment
In the shortest act created for the oblivion.

Recording under my attentive fatigue:
Running! In a state of dead weight
Away from the fictitious villains of terror
Scurrying up the hill
Knowing safety was my mission!
But this destination paved a way
For something more supreme.

A lengthy field in the small gardens of a little German forest.
Apple trees lined perfectly, strapped to the summer grass.
The small garden sheds in front of me sat perfectly still.
The large, busy city straying far from sight and sound.
The hill behind me disappeared.
Now, the fresh dug soil lays seeds of flowers and vegetables
Covered with a thin white tarp
And spread extensively across the field
As it lays next to those apple trees.

A presence comes forth from thin air
As a squire to journey me through my next mission.

I became ecstatic when it began
A quest that would defy a moment of gravity
An expedition to resurrect the ancients
Bring back the minds buried in sand and trapped tunnels
To grasp the power doubted by modern animals
Seizing its power must be my purpose!
Whatever it may be, I spoke to my squire...

“This! This is the key! The key to a power beyond the concept of conscious. An idea so great, time itself could freeze. This here, my companion, are the Walls of Egypt and the Trees of Rome.”

Such a slumber now had slept
And an awaken action has arrived.
