Our Eternal Wedding House

Even death could not cause our love to part,
This promise has always sounded so right,
These words of hope still echo in my heart.

When they found his body, tears did not start,
Through this strong shock, I continued to fight,
Even death could not cause our love to part.

Stole to his fresh grave with a garden cart,
Our wedding vows I began to recite;
These words of hope still echo in my heart.

I dug with fervor, my body did smart,
yet never ceased digging all through the night.
Even death could not cause our love to part.

To our wedding house we arrived, stalwart,
Just as the porch was kissed by morning light;
These words of hope still echo in my heart.

Blue and cold, he remained a work of art,
From my opened wrists flowed the crimson, bright.
Even death could not cause our love to part,
These words of hope still echo in my heart.

In Sickness and In Silence

Endless masquerade I despise
No longer am I able to tolerate this feigned smile
Struggling to hide this inferno of contempt in a guise.

Oh Please, I do not wish for you to sympathize
This is why I must go this extra draining mile
Endless masquerade I despise.

A silent scream from inside is my well-earned prize
For these surrounding cherished faces are oblivious all the while
Struggling to hide this inferno of contempt in a guise.

But will this heavy stone lodged in my throat lead to a forgotten demise?
As I madly crawl down this heavily perfumed white rose colored aisle
Endless masquerade I despise.

Now I stand seemingly faithful to the stranger beside me and recognize
A hint of despair in his own strained smile
Struggling to hide an inferno of contempt in a guise.

Oh deadly facade of happiness we must both advertise
The act of mutual deception is certainly vile
Endless masquerade I despise
Struggling to hide this inferno of contempt in a guise.

The Scattered Petals of The Rose

What would be the reason, the path that they chose.
In the mind, that point of time, it seemed to be so right;
To walk upon the path of scattered petals of the rose.

New beginnings, wrapped in ribbons and tied with bows;
Veiled with lace and a dress of pearl beads, glisten white.
A dream fulfilled at the end of the path that they chose.

People gather to witness in their garish clothes;
Seated in anticipation on wooden pews to view hearts in flight.
Watching as the path is scattered with petals of the rose.

Forever, forever is the hope of the vows, and that it grows.
To keep the inner embers glowing, no blinding light;
As not to wilt the scattered petals of the rose.

Challenges the body, and soul and what they expose.
Always the truth, the need to be right or to be contrite;
Remembering always the reason it was the path they chose.

Not to give in to the intoxicated spite, the loneliness of night;
Viewing the self, reflective and truthful as moonlight.
Remembering always the reason it was path they chose;
To cherish always the path of the fragile petals of the rose.
