Honey, I Love You!

Honey, I love you! And what I say is damn true
I swear, cross my heart and hope to die, if, I lie
O can’t you feel, I really wanted to be with you

You’re that someone that I want to share my stew
Come home, let’s fulfill our dreams, and don’t cry
Honey, I love you! And what I say is damn true

I float, like clouds in the sky each time I touch you
‘Cos of tingling shocks and warmness of your pie
O can’t you feel, I really wanted to be with you

I miss your love, your caring and your sensual view
The sweet kisses too, you’re giving every time I fly
Honey, I love you! And what I say is damn true

Wish you believe my words, even if you’ve no clue
For I know no more how to prove that I did not lie
O can’t you feel, I really wanted to be with you

Listen to your heart and not to a dreadful gossip
Twirling like migraine, that’s why you can’t sleep
Honey, I love you! And what I say is damn true
O can’t you feel, I really wanted to be with you

Our Liberty Blazing Soldiers

"...when power narrows the areas of man’s concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of his existence...” --John F. Kennedy ~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~
Soldiers of our armed forces, Iraq, Afghan, Lebanon, many shores, Light the way like liberty blazing torches They fight heat, bugs, sand, tough faces, urban warfare, darkness, crashed doors, Soldiers of our armed forces Now Send home change of addresses, stories, photos, emails, strange places, Light the way like iron cut by torches Camouflage faces, wet bloody bruises, brows sweating, under helmet gushes, Soldiers of our armed forces Sleep in sandy humid desert trenches, thunder blast, bombs dropped, fire fights, Light the way like laser torches Loved ones wear yellow broaches, anxiety, praise, tears, vague smiles, Soldiers of our armed forces, Light the way like liberty blazing torches.

We are not as poor as some people say

We are not as poor as some people say

Our land is our source of food and our home
We work on our land almost every day
Selling coffee beans is our main income

In remote lands, where tourists find welcome
An old aid post is sixty miles away
Our land is our source of food and our home

Since there are no roads to town from our home
We carry coffee bags most of the way
Selling coffee beans is our main income

We don’t just wait for services to come
While struggling to survive another day
Our land is our source of food and our home

Enjoy some coffee when your tour is done
That cup or two of brew gives our days pay
Selling coffee beans is our main income

We own our land and work it, unlike some
We are not as poor as some people say
Our land is our source of food and our home
Selling coffee beans is our main income.

holding back the tears

I really think I know you, even when I'm blue
When were full of Tasmanian oysters and too much chardonnay
But now your'e going home alone, I'm feeling oh so empty.

I do not think I know you, my dearest Sue, why so vague?
Why don't you return my calls, Should I get a takeaway?
I really think I know you even when I'm blue.

I really think I know you, when the banking statements due
Was that a spending spree when you spent the monthly pay
Now my wallet feels so light and oh so very empty.

I do not think I know you, are you really true
When you go away for days and stray amid the fray
I do not think I know you, even though I'm blue.

I really think I know you, though why so many shoes
How would you pick a pair, if we had to run away
And why keep all the boxes, especially when they're empty.

I do not think I know you, when were standing in a queue
Together yet so far apart, I look and feel dismay
I really think I know you, even though I'm blue
There's nothing left for us to share, our love is all but empty.
y

Kind Woman, Womankind

Brutes, in name of God, to show their might, fixed laws, that you’d succumb like measly sheep. Womankind, kind woman, rise and fight. Innocents of war with smiles once bright, ravished; tossed like garbage in a heap, angels hovering nigh have you in sight. Faithful brides, for something less than trite, set on fire in their beds as they sleep. Kind woman, womankind, your soul‘s in flight. Girls in huts, legs spread, cry out in fright. A ritual to mutilate cuts deep. Angels from on high do hear your plight. Wives in their own homes (not all is right), beaten, hush their children not to weep. Womankind, kind woman, comes the night. . . . Sisters, don’t be wearied by the blight. For what they sow, God’s told us they shall reap. Angels have prepared you robes of white. Kind woman, womankind, hold tight your light. By Andrea Dietrich

Fate's Ferris Wheel, The Wheel of Fortune

Everyone has a seat as fate is spun
on the ambiguous simple machine,
which circles surely as Earth does the Sun.

People have daily battles to be won,
from lowly peasants to a regal queen,
everyone has a seat as fate is spun.

Origins of happiness can have begun
as a sorrowful, mean-spirited scene,
which circles surely as Earth does the Sun.

Adventure and danger are thrills for some,
while more sob or fight to remain serene.
Everyone has a seat as fate is spun.

As some rise, others fall and cannot run,
all entrapped by an event unforeseen,
which circles surely as Earth does the Sun.

Truth is static and when the day is done
no one can escape from fortune’s routine.
Everyone has a seat as fate is spun,
which circles surely as Earth does the Sun.

THE SELF

One whispering to the cold air
thoughts astride too; a lonely mind
all blessings fine, all curses fair.

an endless cause, from Adam's days
in flight by day, air-borne by night,
and man cannot stop the play.

unheard, misread, misunderstood,
thus actions true and careless yet,
come from the wise, or of the fools.

a bucket full of nothing quite,
the likeness to an empty soul;
unclear, not chromed and yet not white.

unjustified in classes; all
not prime, not poor, nor mediocre
n'er bloody sad nor over joyed.

so plenty here, too plenty dear,
these things to say in little lines,
since words are lacked, and men are feared,
these things unsaid fizz in my mind.

- RHYME BATTLE; ROUND 4 -

Advice for Falling Angels

As angels descending, bring from above,
Heavenly Father’s reminders so grand,
Praised echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Ere in a tight spot; if sin comes to shove,
Listen to father; obey God’s command.
As angels descending, bring from above.

His beautiful message that fights Satan’s glove,
Faith to continue and strength to withstand,
Praised echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Heralding wisdom from hopes sweetest dove.
A branch of the olive clinched in faith’s hand.
As angels descending, bring from above.

Love everlasting, which Jesus taught of.
Righteous salvation, which for us was planned,
Praised echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Enticement seems sweet, like deadly foxglove.
Succumbing brings darkness into a bright land.
As angels descending, bring from above,
Prized echoes of mercy, whispers of love-

Thoughts on a Medaeval Castle

'Tis a merry company gathered about the fire
Comfortably warm, at their tables they dine
Under the spell of a beautiful lyre

In the great hall, under the castle spire
Enjoying immensely their vittles and wine
'Tis a merry company gathered about the fire

Chatting with ease as the torches burn higher
Bathed in the scent of the burning of pine
Under the spell of a beautiful lyre

Their laughter is ready, and wit does not tire
It only grows greater at hours after nine
'Tis a merry company gathered about the fire

Flick and the dart of the shadows inspire
Tales, ere the dawn of the even's decline
Under the spell of a beautiful lyre

Their thoughts and their words, do we dare to inquire?
Perhaps if we could there were riches to mine
'Tis a merry company gathered about the fire
Under the spell of a beautiful lyre

LOVE CLAMORS, A DIRGE FOR CIVILITY

Love clamors, rails, in scoreless threnodies,
resounds with long laments for graciousness
then prays by each dirge for civility.

Defy disrespect, each act of bigotry,
for odium gags, then violates unless
love clamors, rails, in scoreless threnodies.

Mankind must extend affability
as honor battles all war cries of bruteness
then prays by each dirge for civility.

Keen for the deadened of society
then wail requiems for each butchered kindness...
Love clamors, rails, in scoreless threnodies.

We can resurrect common courtesy
because hope lends hymns its dearness
then prays by each dirge for civility.

Care brays as it hears its own elegy
and strident is the swan song of selflessness,
Love clamors, rails, in scoreless threnodies
then prays by each dirge for civility.
