Like a Timex

Through lickings, like a Timex, my husband’s hard-core. Evermore, heart ticking, he goes on. They don’t make his model any more. Not cut out for college, he gathered lore in his craft; he learned it all, hands-on. Through lickings, like a Timex, my husband’s hard core. Into night he’d often work, his body sore, developing both calluses and brawn. They don’t make his model any more. Once a fall from two floors up he bore! Days later he was at his work by dawn. Through lickings, like a Timex,my husband's hard-core. Robbed and scammed; so much to abhor! This self-made man felt like a woebegone. They don’t make his model any more. New trials that he never knew before now face him, but he’s still a hanger-on. Through lickings, like a Timex, my husband’s hard core. They don’t make his model any more. The Flames Of Love

I feel the flames of love ignite, Burning me to my very core, As it blazes on into the night; Deep in my heart I know it’s right, I’ve never felt like this before; I feel the flames of love ignite; Sweat glistens in the fire light, And my senses tingle for what’s in store, As it blazes on into the night; Your kisses on my skin, alight; It leaves me begging for more and more, I feel the flames of love ignite; My passion drives me to my height, And in fervor we explore, As it blazes on into the night; We can’t hold back now anymore, In unison our bodies soar; I feel the flames of love ignite, As it blazes on into the night.

Embrace me

Embrace me like there is no other one
Time flies, we get old, changes will come
Life is short and you'll need one

Hold me deep, and as if you have won
I return to touch you now. Please..
Embrace me like there is no other one

To hold you and to keep you before you run
And if you feel there is no time
Life is short and you'll need one

Keep me close to your heart for fun
As the love I feel will keep you strong
Embrace me like there is no other one

That will kiss you and stay for the long run
Even with cloudy skies and dark nights
Life is short and you'll need one

To love you, to make you smile and scream
That I am here to stay, and all you need is
Embrace me like there is no other one
Life is short and you'll need one...

                                         ...Person to love!

LOST AND FOUND

To lose one’s faith is such a great disaster.
Life falls apart, disintegrates, and dies.
Climb back again. We have an amazing Master.

A man I know lost faith, and his life’s design.
He gave up hope, and took to pity’s resign.
To lose one’s faith is such a great disaster.

He broke a heart, a marriage, and kept the kids
But shredded them too, for lack of vision’s skids.
Climb back again. We have and amazing Master.

His wife forgot her passion for truth’s wild fire,
And wandered, lost, into world’s framed by desire.
To lose one’s faith is such a great disaster.

But God was on her case. He never left her,
And brought her longing heart within His spur.
She climbed back again to her amazing Master.

The tale goes on, for the children need to know
Why father’s fall had made them suffer so,
Why losing faith is such a great disaster.
Climb back again. We’ve such an amazing Master.

Sacred Anthems

Remember God, from whence thy bounty comes.
And on the morrow bring thy true love home.
Love bequeathed revered knows sacred anthems.

Live lovingly, earning new day's welcomes.
Embrace heaven's wise teachings where you roam.
Remember God, from whence thy bounty comes.

Spousal bonds enjoin marital maxims.
Matrimonial joy strives, since Adam.
Life bequeathed revered knows sacred anthems.

Families grow stronger amid loves, blossoms.
Children safely thrive in affection's dome.
Remember God, from whence thy bounty comes.

Faithfully make right marital chasms.
Let not one's earthly passions ever roam.
Life bequeathed revered knows sacred anthems.

Our loving God prepared for us, kingdoms.
Lavishly envisioned, heavenly home.
Remember God, from whence thy bounty comes.
Life bequeathed revered knows sacred anthems.

Retort from Inside the Eggshell

I winced disenchantment whenever you fell
Through countless absurdities I held my tongue
While you courted your daydreams from hell.

I mastered the rules willing all to be well
As you blitzed career ladders splintering each rung
I winced disenchantment whenever you fell.

I laid low, so fierce your desire to excel
Your mint julep put-downs like scorpions stung
While you courted your daydreams from hell.

I wallowed in patience, don’t ask and don’t tell
I begged your repentance where hope’s crosses hung
I winced disenchantment whenever you fell.

A childishly reckless, indulged Southern Belle
Your frivolous insults so flippantly flung
While you courted your daydreams from hell.

For years poise and wit lulled me lame with their spell
I yearned for the charmed days when love’s fruits first sprung
But your mind’s locked up tight in a bright padded cell
I winced disenchantment whenever you fell
While you courted your daydreams from hell.

Husband Yet She Knew Him Not

Villanelle – Husband yet She Knew Him Not

Husband yet she knew him not
Life was just a living hell
Their wedding vows he had forgot

He loved a little, she loved a lot
His heart was just an empty shell
Husband yet she knew him not

He did not take rejection well
The physical abuse he would not stop
Their wedding vows he had forgot

No bed for him, he got the cot
Divorce attorneys she did tell
Husband yet she knew him not

Peeved abuser began to plot
Although his ruthless efforts failed
Their wedding vows he had forgot

Life with him she tried to blot
He went to jail, no chance of bail
Husband yet she knew him not
Their wedding vows he had forgot

Dancing On Eggshells

I danced on eggshells year after year
‘Til all that remained was sand
Still you wonder how we ever got here.

Paths strewn with landmines, shrapnel and fear
You won't hold me or reach for my hand
I danced on eggshells year after year

Emotional cruise control set in fifth gear
So sure of your map of the land
Still you wonder how we ever got here

“You don’t really feel, think or be that way, dear”
My smolder threatened flames when you fanned
I danced on eggshells year after year.

Protestations of reverence belied by your sneer
While insisting that all was just grand
Still you wonder how we ever got here.

For too long preachy voices were all I could hear
Divorce seals your fate as one damned
But my soul starved of love groaned and sighed my mind clear
I danced on eggshells year after year
Still you wonder how we ever got here.
