Brought U up 2 know right from WRONG
Was hard on U so you’d B STRONG
Looked up 1 day & U was GONE
Chasin Raw Dollaz, go getta getting ON

Somebody told me U got crossed at the SPOT
One drop of a dime & the Block got HOT
Held back my tears, got ova the SHOCK
Swallowed my fears, put my jewels in HOCK

I know at first it was done for ME
That’s why I come to set U FREE
So U may Repent B4 U enter a PLEA
Face the consequence multiplied by THREE

I got this feeling this may Be my DOIN
2 hard on U coulda lead to yo RUIN
My bad lil one I didn’t KNOW
I held so much love I failed to SHOW

U needed yo Momma, it makes me SAD
I worked all nite, neva knew yo DAD
But you’ll be A’ite, give it time you’ll SEE
It’z hard to admit but U a beast like ME

Datz why I accept U 4 who U ARE
A man, A Felon, My Sun, My STAR

Wake Asia Wake - Part One - 4

And remember the sun never really sets only on covetousness
no greater co-prosperity sphere is there than inner contentment
here the sun only rises and spreads its eyes in constant kindness
                                                              Wake! Japan! Wake!
O! Where have they all gone who drank deep and late Old Khayyam’s wine
while with compass and rule he measured the rhymes of the skies
and found the tulip-cheeked maiden wrapped round his earthen cup
                                                             Wake! Old Persia! Wake!
And still the venomous thunders flooding in the Tigris-Euphrates veins
every minority has a right to his pride of place every dog his manger
no monster bomb worth the sweetness of the four-stringed ruba’i
                                                         Wake! Saddam! Wake!
Let not the dust from streets settle on the rags of the by-standing beggar
batten down the mud with stones and gravel with those very hands
that culled the Ajanta Caves from the rocks of teeming wilderness
                                                       Wake! O! India! Wake!
See not how the chiselled rocks of Fathepur Sikri lie chipped in negligence
nor how the hordes of monkeys romp on the fortifications in disdain
see only the vision that shaped the mind of Akbar’s masons
                                                        Wake! O! India! Wake!
Scorn not the erstwhile brother now behind a frontier wall
if your ways were just no brother would have sought cover
siblings are no higher or lower born of the same mother
                                                   Wake! Now India! Wake!
Receive the bounteous waters that descend from the heavens
confine and clean them in reservoirs in troughs or in buckets
and make them pour forth in joy onto your children’s faces
                                                         Wake! O! Asia! Wake!
Wake! wake your neighbours also from the gonepast Rip-van-Winkle millennium
it’s hardly enough just to keep going from day to day
nor rely on the idea that no matter what It works India works
                                                          Wake! O! India! Wake!

Bright Sun, Holy Moon

Oh Bright Sun, shed your light on me
The world feels so dark, I just want to see

The drugs that I take
Were meant to get me out
Of this hole that was dug
From my sadness and doubt

Oh Bright Sun, share your love with me
I am no loner, at least I don’t want to be

With love from my mother
Her check buys me another week
Of worry free fixes
But the future still looks bleak

Oh Holy Moon, why can’t I be more like you
You’ll always have the sun and its friends too

I've ran out of money
I’m starting to feel sick
Maybe God will save me now
Or maybe he'll kill me like a tick

Oh Holy Moon, please save me from my fate
Death waits in sleep and it’s getting late

I keep praying on my knees
For the withdrawals to go away
The pain only gets worse
I think i could die where I lay

Oh Brother Brother, you've been this way before
Guide me on my path, help me I implore

I’m starting to feel better
And now i realize how foolish I'd been
To think God would play savior once more
He's not the one who saved me then

Oh Brother Brother, I’m glad you answered my call
Your help seemed to stop that unending fall

YOU, ME, THE SUN AND THE SEA

I can envision your smile when mine wasn’t evident
I can hear your laughter when mine isn’t prevalent
I can imagine your glowing eyes beam while mine were dim
And I hear your voice of encouragement when my life grew dim

I can be all alone in a forest of Pontiac Pine and Oakland Oak
Surrounded by mementos of momentous monuments sculpted by the moments we spent together
For instance the day we spent at the arcade on the boardwalk by the sea
                 You and me
By the sea
The ocean where I walked in the footsteps your petite feet left behind
Tiny traces of lightness dwarfed by mine
And you giggled when I picked you up so there would only be two footprints in the sand
Then I recall you lilted lightly through the tiny waves that lapped onto the shore while you wore blue jeans and a checkered shirt
The hems of denim became wet so you rolled them up to your knees
As you whispered that I was as delightful as that late summer breeze
I remember that day
Your smile
Your laughter
Your entrancing golden and green eyes
While we watched the sea ebb and rise

We were together on days now long past
We shared summer eves and winter days overcast
Warm misty nights and days when the sun refused to shine
Silvery and sparkling days when you were still mine

Freedom before my lost brother

Freedom before my lost brother

They march before the rising sun with guns at six
We stand before sun down with signs of freedom

Who really marches to the same drum?
When my hand have been blown off for beat
The beat, the beat, the beat

As he races from the explosion of freedom in his chest
For freedom
To escape this tide of hate
That swept us slaves of red, white and blue

And he is nothing like before when hate took him away
He is a man at six and we are still children as adult
War took my hands and feet I am no solider
I fight for freedom not money
You fight so this tide will not cross-oceans and sands

We fight here for food and light
And light, to breathe, to die for family
Across the ocean hand my son an ak-47
And he will march and kneel before God for forgiveness

Hand my brother a ruger and he will stand in the shadows for American greed
Greed in the land of freedom and hope, black in the shadows
And mother can mend wounds here across the oceans she can only dial
Of relief
Mother over there must know how to be doctor and surgeon, and warrior for the
Generation to survive, to live

We cannot procreate; we are the ends of mankind
With bombs in the hands of babies
To extend our left hand of hate across the ocean, across towers of hope

We must all be the same here a million mile from each other
My skin dictates that I hate, be hated, I rape, be raped
I bleed red, white and blue
Watching in shock, disbelief as red, white and blue goes up in flames in the
Ashes of the wind just like you

Freedom can never come to me here before her with that torch
My mother across the ocean must be sending me a package of death to kill my
four father
Your four father because my complexion means that no one can see me
I am a lost brother, forgotten sister
Hated child with no hands, no hands in freedom

March me before television cameras, signs of peace, and words of love
I am still a lost brother............ before truth
But you knoe me so well..
From the the same box that caused my cousins in your land to be hung
Money means nothing here, Money means every thing beside her with the torch
Pass it to me so I may freedom---the truth

A Sun in the Horizon

Finally, one can finally be
Happy yet again
It took a while and wasn't easy
But victory came in the end

Many trials and stepping stones
Brought on this blissful time
With a broken heart and broken bones
Now hear the Lord's loving chime

Summer's past for one and many
The time that was spent together
But the bond that was built was more than plenty
To lift others out of bad weather

Although that heart is now taken
It is encouraging from afar
Just know that brother's love cannot be mistaken
Nor shaken nor torn apart

Tomarrow Is a New Day

the sun smiles into my bedroom
The shadows kiss the room goodbye

tomorrow the moon and sun will
a new day dawns on those who need it the stars make the tears on my faceglitter in the surrounding darkness

All sound is shallowed and or shut out
no more screming, stop the shouts tomarrow will bring happiness

while the pain and sadness drifts away brother always said dont try to fight the night because tomarrow is a new day
