ECLIPSE

~ECLIPSE~

The shining light hides behind my eyes,
Comes in a super nova surprise
My spirit glides into the skies,
Spreading the perfect heat like the sunrise

I was like a diamond under the beauty of the ocean!
My current rides out with smooth motions,
Leaving a taste with intense emotion
Captured by my tides, sunk to my love potion

The sun sends my waves like a mirage of snow
I got the moon to favor upon my glow
With every star touching my inner soul
A glimpse of darkness in my light entwining with a massive flow

Blinded by my own ECLIPSE!
My sun & moon collide
Until the day we both touch lips

Sun Dance

~Sun Dancing~

Bright yellow sparks glisten around the landscape
Sheer environment expose
Warmth slinks down every step
So-- Invigorating
Spur like rays muster in long light
The wolves wait to howl
Soon--Bunch of flowers
Huddle in with sunlit love
Luminous rave

Ode to Autumn

Earth’s sphere of fire bids adieu to me

As dying embers gleam across the sea

In rare hues reflected by autumn trees,

Swirling in motion with October’s breeze.

I feel the joy this season has to share

In golden harvest that the branches bear,

And I am thankful for this blessed year,

For divine abundance I share so dear.

The sun and moon take on a special glow

As thunder clouds move swiftly with the flow.

Yes, autumn coaxes feelings to revive,

Those mem’ries of past seasons still alive.

When autumn spreads her dress of lacey frost

I know, in breathless beauty, I’ll be lost.

The Life I Love

(In the words of a happy little mermaid)

I slide through silky cerulean seas
Silently swimming wherever I please;
I glide through water with buttery ease,
With skin that is smoother than ivory keys.

There are secret gardens I love to explore
Far below the world on the ocean floor,
Where are colors no man has seen before
Hidden in an underwater treasure store.

Deeper down in the sea, where I go on a whim,
The light is so far it is grayish and dim;
There the masts of shipwrecks rise dark and slim,
And coins of gold line passages I swim.

On tropical islands with flowing waves
I play in uncharted, mysterious caves,
Or nap in the sunlight's golden rays
In a silent shoal on balmy days.

I pick pretty flowers to put in my hair
And splash in the shallows with never a care;
The droplets shine like diamonds in the air,
Rising and falling like a crystal flare.

When the day is over, the dolphins sing mass
And the sun sets fire on the leaping bass,
Then I lie in a bed much clearer than glass
And pray a sweet dream for this mermaid lass.

Painted Lady

The ev'ning sun reclines and dips
Her trailing skirts into the fire;
She lounges on the edge of dusk,
Her sultry lips, crimson desire.

With violet tints, her painted eyes,
Brazen behind a blushing cloud,
Stare into ev'ry lake and pond
To view the beauty she's endowed.

We sigh to see her slip beyond
The rim of sight; her lovely face
May never be just quite the same
As now, framed by the black tree lace.

In The Desert

In The Desert

In the desert walks a man with no name
within its barren sands he seeks no fame
Survival is his only wish and only game
all burns, sticks or crawls nothing is tame

The rattlesnakes strike with poison gifts
nothing soothes, quenches or uplifts
A heat that singes as it burns on down
Rarely, if ever relief from a cloudy gown

Yes, O' yes, beauty does still hide here
found only if he can conquer his great fear!

note: Fear of the danger a desert presents often clouds
the beauty lying within. A proper emergency plan is a must
 when entering a desert.
Food, water and a compass are just the basic start..

Darling It's You

To take you in these arms right now
flower you rise regal sunflower
Sparkling petals over a princess
Whispering silently and softly
I am your pilgrim
who would do battle
for your sweet loving hand

Fluttering in deep tongues of light
Waving lashes turning over inside the brain
Totally smitten in your shining jewels
silver dazzling in a milky smile
Shimmers in your deep delicious beauty love
Always will be forever with me
inside you my dream

Lady of light you shine a promise made
sparkling crowns a vision rose
The moon is my banner there and back
Standing on the edge with you
when sunsets dance their brilliance
This is were I make my peek
my total love open
I have to you

At those words
falling I am at you're feet
Worshiping the very ground
on which you stand out
Queen of hearts
who captured this soul beautiful

This I co wrote with someone whom I spent time with writing just to say it has taken to now to post for me this was a very special piece took months to write from a heart

The sun plunged in the space of silence

The sun plunged
In the space of silence,
The summer has been extended
In a slow wandering ...

The orb has been drunk,
Gradually, by fringes.
> We did not hear anything,
From the fall of the angel ...

The horizon has folded its wings around
Confusing the distants ...
Evening invades what remains of the day
In a jiffy.

Water reflections exchanges
The colors overrated,
With the sky full of oranges,
The trees are just silhouettes ...

The night the already marks yesterday
This is a timely opportunity,
Where piercing welcoming clouds
unfolds, shamelessly ,the moon ...

It will take an earth tour,
And plenty of patience,
For the solar triumph reappears
In its rebirth ,

As clarity rises
And progresses slowly
Until the most intense moment, at its solstice,
To the top of the firmament.

And the celestial body draws, now
All things , in gold drops ,
..... - And this is another day.
It drinks in his turn and evaporates it....

-

Toutes choses en gouttes  d'or,
.....    - Et c'est un autre jour.
Il le boit à son tour,                    puis l' évapore....

Walking by the river

Walking by the river.

It was that kind of day
With the Spring Sun soft and warm
There was a kind of energy
That moved within my form
I could have walked the whole day long
As I felt me, natures pull
Oh Lord those river trails are beautiful.

I passed a group of roos
Who were grazing by the river
Some Parrots screeched above my head
And set my heart a quiver
And as those creatures gave their calls
A Kookaburra laughed
Oh how I love to walk that river path.

It was that kind of day
That you’d like to last for years
With the country air rich in my lungs
And my mind all calm and clear
I could have walked until I dropped
Along that river trail
Feeling good and living in the now.

Pursue Love

Pursue love,
the love that has no meaning,
the silver ports of the moon,
shine so bright,
that it blinds you in the twilight
she is beautiful and she is divine
she is the song sang by the sweet nightingales
in the gardens of worthy, overgrowning and blooming roses,
like wildfire grow tall and the thornes of the vines
tangle around her feet and drag her ever so slightly
throughout the garden of beauty.
As the roses lay along a table,
as she sits at the table
and she waits for me, the wordman
to come to the dinner table at the stroke of nine
and sit with her,
start a scene or two of romantic setting,
to pursue love in her name.
Love is around us,
the candlelight shines and reflects in her silk hair,
as her evening dress glitters and shines
and her bossom shows itself in the nightsky
as we lay together,
we pursue a dream together,
forever we live together forever,
as we stand upon the belcony of Romeo and Juliet's love scene
we swim in a pool of sweet divine care and love,
we swallow grapes and drink wine
hand and hand on Persian rugs and virgin white cloth sheets,
we dance to a simple, yet sweet Chopin's masterpiece
of his beautiful nocturnes,
which make such a sweet and romantic song in our heads.

We stomp out the flames
as we dance the night away,
and you lay in my arms,
and I kiss you upon your lovely head,
and you hold my hand,
and I hold you tight
never thinking of letting your love go away from me,
I would take my own life,
before I lose your love.
See us together,
it is a painting that lasts lifetimes,
that needs no touch-ups.
I care for you and love you!
Love me, I know you will.

My sweet and loving portrait lady,
who in reality is more beautiful than a fully bloomed rose
that sits on its green stem,
in the garden of beauty that sits outside my window.
Come up to my chambers
as I picked roses for you and pettles litter the atmosphere
as love's tension grows
and suspence brings us together,
let us make love tonight
seal the passion
and pursue love once and for all.

Then shall we wake with the first rays of the blazing of the morning sun,
I shall wake next to your beauty and glory,
and I shall point my attention to the heavens
and thank the Gods for sending you on the open road,
toward my chamber door, I call my heart.
Then we shall dress, and walk the pathways
in the garden of beauty
and I shall pick a bauquet of roses
and we shall sit by the lake and pursue our love
for one another
and nothing, not one earthquake shall shake us apart.

SUNSET

SUNSET

The yawning sun
Exhausted glides across the canvas of the infinite hues sky
Painting in its passage, with the reminiscences of the day,
A glorious resting place for the night to pass!

we are stars

people are like stars,
some are younger,
some are older,
some are brighter,
some are darker,
some are bigger,
some are smaller,
but in the end we are all the same.
all together.
shining bright with our personality.
dont care about what other people think.
its their own opinion.
be unique,be you.
you are who you are, and who you are is all their gonna get.
so shine like a star!!!

Beneath the Suns glow

Beneath the suns Glow

Oh, how the trees gleam
Beneath the morning sun
White roses seep into my soul
A new day has begun
So many shades of beauty
Are seen in this morning glow
A lovely morning filled with spring
Oh how the love does flow.

Folk speak of love in many ways
But I see it loud and clear
On a morning such as this
I can feel that God is here
Unbeliever I will never be
For I get up each morn
And love, sweet love is everywhere
As a brand new day is born

The birdsong touches heartstrings
And makes them sing along
With the morning chorus
I sing a lovely song
Cause God is there before me
Disguised as sweet spring morn
On this lovely morning
Such mystery is born.

Friendship

A friend like you is worth much more
Than all the treasures earth can store
Your worth I measure not in gold
But in the beauty of your soul
I think about you when we met
And there I knew my sun had set
A friend so true I then did find
A friend so gentle and so kind
I saw the beauty in your eyes
And then I came to realize
When you placed your hand in mine
My heart in friendship you did bind
My eyes you opened and just then
At last I knew I had a friend

Sunset Tableau

Watching sunsets flare
Hypnotized we stare.
Horizons last light
Burning orange bright.
Heaven and earth one,
As our day is done.

Sunshine and Butterflies

I can feel myself falling
Into the bottom of a hole
I hear the sunshine calling
That I make her my new home

I'll bask in all her glory
Penetrating into my soul
I'll write her an endless story
About this place I'll call home

Butterflies will surround me
In the beauty I adore
Much happier I will be
In a place with all her warmth

Let Me Watch The Sun Go Down

Let Me Watch The Sun Go Down

Let me watch the sun go down
The end of a life giving day
The flowers tightly curl
Hiding their beauty until the light returns
Breezes slow and fade into stillness
The scents of the day drops onto the moist ground
Animals crawl into their lairs
Do they dreams of open fields?
Or do they watch the darkness
Eyes straining into nothingness
Looking for the moment of their deaths
Their babies cuddle beneath a dense thicket
Clinging close to their mother
Waiting, hoping for the morning’s light
Let me watch the sun go down
Watch its beauty as blue turns into gold and lastly black
Night comes and the world finally sleeps
And still I watch

Today I Saw A Diamond Cry

Today I saw a diamond cry
For your beauty stole its shine
The flowers all began to sigh
For you make them all benign

The stars no longer reflect the moon
For you have become their light
Even the sun is not immune
For he chases away the night

Your shadow makes the sun rejoice
He follows where ever you go
His love for you has bound his voice
Or he would have told you so

Even the breeze whispers your name
Just to touch your hair
Your shadow tries to share your fame
She follows you everywhere

Today I saw a diamond cry
For your beauty stole its shine
Not a day goes by that I don't ask why
The Good Lord made you mine

Longing

Longing.

if time heals all wounds,?
my cure lies in patience,?
if sadness makes us stronger,?
sorrow lives as my acquaintance,
the sun rises slowly but has to set again too soon,
the sun brings us the light but is only shadowed by the moon,
the sun shows our imperfections, and the moon leaves them transparent,
but if i speak truth let me be a declarant,
true beauty shines through when under darkness, moon or sun,
your beauty stay true, equalled by none,
time will heal not being by your side,
and the sorrow will give me strength to be proud that i tried,
one day you will find a love much greater than I,
i just long for the chance to say that your mine.

Strawberries And Unknown Girl

     Strawberries And Unknown Girl

Strawberries grow unaided in the field
Green, red and magic on the day
Sentinels stationed; they speak kindly of the Sun
And sometimes of an unknown girl
She’s there just out of reach
In the air, partaking of sweet pleasures
Years collect themselves in silence
Still sense her song and mystery adrift
Along strawberry rows aligned in history
Those corridors of time in endless days at play
And there she stays a fair young maiden
A constant unknown wonder to this day

Heart of The Sea

The heart of the sea is a mother's heart
She is the great ancestral mother of all life on the planet
Deep within the mysterious waters of her womb
she conceived and gave birth to the first life form
which evolved into more complex organisms
that live on the land and in the air

She is an essential part of the planet's ecosystem
feeding the clouds which bring rain and snow
that sustain life on the earth
Through tiny ocean plants and photosynthesis
she removes carbon dioxide from the air
and converts it to more than one half of the oxygen
in the earth's atmosphere

She is the great food provider to the planet
having her own internal food chain
with tiny phytoplankton at the lower end
and enormous sharks and whales at the upper end
She feeds creatures from the land and air
that venture to fish in her waters

She is a thing of beauty even in her enraged fury
with massive waves towering over a hundred feet
and the seething white foam of her waters
This has been her action
even before the advent of man on the planet
Man must respect her behaviour
or suffer death and destruction if he does not

She is a thing of beauty in her calm stillness under the setting sun
which lights up the evening sky in its glorious splendour
and paints a glistening beam of light on the water's surface
in line with the sun and surrounds it
with brilliant colours of the rainbow

Sunset at Manila Bay

Walking on the street,
stretching out both my arms
to catch the breeze
looking silly,
but I don't mind...
'silly' could very well be my middle name...

Closing my eyes as the
sun was dipping goodbye
just for a quick bit though,
(I reckon I'm not that silly),
since I wasn't walking on a sidewalk,
since there was none in that part...

wishing I was sitting instead,
or in that place
where I can swim
in that Manila Bay sunset,
immerse myself
stare,
drink that shimmering orange yolk
that bleeds light
watching it dip softly
into the languid waves,
rendering brilliance,
 gilding everything

a golden inked cookie
from the milky sky
being dunked,
tickling my hungry eyes

ah,
the glorious,
soul-filling
Manila Bay sunset

--------------------------------
I continue my walk home
and I sigh,
I sleep at sunrise.

0528200913

I have a big feeling I will be writing a different version of this,
I was walking on that street, wishing I was watching the sunset
near Manila Bay
but yup, this was something that I wrote when I couldn't sleep
so wasn't able to fully grasp what I wanted to be conveyed,
it lacks something, I don't know, just Something.

Thank you for passing by.

Home is Where the Ocean Is

Summer is here once again.
The breeze is warm,
I smell salt on the wind.
The same sandy beach between my toes,
The same waters I learned to swim.
Sun burn on my nose,
To the Ocean I dive in.
I submerse myself in the waters of the Atlantic
Warmer than the West Coast Thankfully
Cold, I simply cannot handle it!
Further out I paddle faithfully,
For my mother ocean to keep me sane,
this is my therapy,
to soothe this migraine.
This place gives me energy,
a weakness with a name.
Pleasure Island, NC.
A place hidden with fortunes
and undiscovered fame.
Never could I stray from the ocean
my passions would never be fulfilled
and I would never be the same.

Dedicated to my Dad on Father's Day 2013
The man who introduced me to the ocean and educated me about it and gave me reason to love appreciate and respect it.

My treasure chest

My treasure chest

My treasure chest, is not a truth
It’s but a metaphor
For I have never dreamed of wealth
My treasure is much more
It’s filled with the moon, the stars at night
And the sun that shines each day
And the beauty of the darkest sky
That highlights milky-way.

It’s filled with trees, majestic trees
And birds that sing so sweetly
My treasure chest it be filled up
But never though completely
Everything that’s beautiful
Is in my treasure chest
It’s filled with all the countless things
That make me happiest.

My treasure chest is never ending
It goes on till forever
It’s filled with all the love that lives
And the sweetness of together
I need no other treasure chest
This one, it satisfies me
For me, I know with certainty
It contains eternity.

dance on glass

I know her dance on glass at night
and how directs soul’s wounds to string
upon the nimbus raindrops cling
- prismatic moon of broken light.

Then she becomes faint shape to frame
her misty wander - face and faith
before the tears - beloved her wraith
pristine and fair her ancient name.

Lone garden’s sadness in her eyes
celestial blue - emerald coast
becomes her verse, solitudes’ host
and repercussions that incise.

She gallivants untimely role
(in void’s catastrophe stars glare)
soul dances in the scent of air,
evanescent the path of Sol.

She gallivants marginal dreams
and stars become far blinking smiles
how lonesome are the winter isles
and the ship’s frozen steel-made brims!

Descending light - circular flare
that fades away, beyond skylines
- erstwhile her soul shall sail on brines
evanescent celestial stare.

the Sun is shining brightly.

when the sun is about to rise above, one can see and admire the beauty of the light coming
out the sun which is like gold colour which is covered all whoever it comes on. all the
birds meet on the trees nearby singing with perfect cordination with each other, saluting
the sun, one can also feel the heat of the sun on those who shining on them. some
passerbys drinking water to quinch their thirst because the heat is going very high as soon
the sun goes up little by little, and when the sun goes down in the evening, one can feel
the light heat and the light that seems to be very golden yellowish on the fields and where it
passes leaving a spectular beauty looking at it, by going up little by little till it vanishes behind the sea for good

Gentle Ripples Passing - Lake Kariba

Water lapping at edge of the boat beneath the silence of the sky
Swaying branches of mopane trees and fish eagles cry
Wind of changing seasons and melting palates of hue
in the blood red sunset glow and murky silvery water blue

Elephants in numbers dot the shores
hippo’s and crocodiles are at the core
of many memories and visions of old
Lake Kariba, in land sea
full of tiger fish and bream

The endless blue that roles into the distance
where the sun rises and falls in panoramic vista
The skeletons of petrified monuments scattered in the sea
forests of pre historic trees swaying in the breeze

It wasn’t always peaceful, tranquil, and still
nature has no chance to relax and withdraw
Scheming and dreaming in the depths of men’s mind

Up Up Up goes the building and climbs
Man made dam, Damn big problem
How could this feet of engineering the power of ages old be so easy
to tame such a wild beast as the zambezi

POURING OUT THE CONCERT
RAMMING THE RODS OF STEEL
DRIVING THE WATER BACK INTO THE HILLS

HOWEVER, THE RIVER REFUSED TO YEILD
THE WALL BEGAN TO TIP, BUCKLE, AND KEEL
NOT ONCE, TWICE, WATER MARCHED THROUGH
LIKE A FACELESS WARRIORS, DESTROYING THE BARRIER
THE FORCE OF THE RIVER WOULD NOT BE SUBDUED

LIKE ALL NATURAL EVENTS, THE WAVES BEGAN TO SUBSIDE
THE SOLDIERS OF BLUE WITHDREW
UP WENT THE WALL, COMPLETED, IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME

Animals and people lost in the rising tide
from river, to dam, to lake to inland sea
Great and panoramic became the horizon wide

Like a whisper on the edge of wind
was a grand concert of ages gone by
Played out by wildlife, land, water, and sky

A harmonic existence of sublime serenity
Life here brings closure to one’s perspective
the sent of dust and adventure is quiet infective

The place of the skeleton trees, mountain passes, and copper sun still
where the stars in the universe, scatterings like lost thoughts, visions, and chants chill
across the forging path, that strides through this african wilderness blue
Lake Kariba, the artery of the north, run straight, run true.

Butterflies and Bumblebees

butterflies and bumblebees
egg yolks on toast
mustard fields and pots of gold
sunflower seeds to roast

ringlets fall lightly
from a little girl so fair
ornaments of golden wings
fall softly from her hair

banana peels to slip and fall
that would be no fun
dreaming of yellow submarines
happy face from the sun

yellow is for warmth
on a cold and windy day
yellow through your window pane
helps sunshine come your way

Beautify

                       Scarlet sun spread your
                       Beauty upon the world, as
You emerge from beneath the mere, cobalt
Springs amongst the meadows…

                        Scarlet sun spread your
                        Beauty upon the world, as
Your reflection glimmers amid
Waltzing oceans of euphoria…

                        Scarlet sun spread your
                        Beauty upon the world, as
You penetrate feathery clouds
Of white, ascending…

                        Scarlet sun spread your
                        Beauty upon the world, as
Your radiation of shimmering light
Evaporates crystals of water droplets,
Sliding on blooming petals…

                        Scarlet sun spread your
                        Beauty upon the world, as
You embellish the sky with
Your flickering smiles…

                        Scarlet sun spread your
                        Beauty upon the world, as
You disappear along with
The shining sky, into a sacred world
You beautify…

The Duchess Of Paradise

She's highly sophisticated and full of undefiled wisdom
Yet a crowned Duchess in a paradise kingdom
Quite a beautiful angel flying with black wings
Covered in gold jewelry and precious things
She dresses like the women of ancient Egyptian class
Her wealth is generous and her money grows like grass
She loves orange scented candles with dark room flame
She rules thirty legions of soldiers and Bune is her name
Her comely warrior voice can wake and relocate the dead
Her armies of soldiers gather around the cemetery
She is brave and deserves a princessly crown on her head
Her facility of speech and flair for words is legendary
A beautiful queen to be treated with respect and honor
Instead of blasphemy, wanton abuse and fictional horror

Jealousy of Light and Shadow

He doesn't know
How lovely he is
But I see
How shadow and sunlight
Compete for him
Jealously-
I see
How shadow caresses;
How sunlight kisses
His cheek

Trip Twist

In the void, sipping the zoid,
with mental properties of tripping on the spiral.
Falling down the tail of lions, awkwardly spinning.
With upside down tunnel vision leaking through.

Solidifying all matter that matters,
melting into the walls of your brain.
It tickles all the raindrops dripping in your eyes,
satisfying your desire of a synchronized pattern.

Bleeding purple from the rainbow,
and turning into swirls of diamonds.
Slipping exuberantly beside you; driving you wild.
Where the shadows stop the spirited scream.

Devour yourself into the omniscient grip.
Icy cold finger tips scratch the surface of your divinity,
bringing you closer to the God who whispered in your unborn ear,
situated in your flesh from birth to death.

It embeds itself in the pupil of your eye,
dancing with your spirit and licking your soul.
Black shapes of madness wrapped in chaos and euphoria.
Twinkling and blinking dust of a cloud.

Haze filled skies and blood filled smoke raining from the clouds.
Envisions of clowns and demons laughing at our demise.
Chilling sensations of sickening mannerisms,
mechanisms and mechanics sought out to destroy the tiny creatures.

These creatures running crazy into acceptance of demise.
Deprived of life, scared of death but giving into it's taste.
Taste buds quiver as the taste grows sweeter.
Death, oh death, tell everyone who you really are...

Too long have you been hidden in the shadows you cast,
too long have we rendered your pain.
The world grows sicker as the hairs in my head grey.
I'll never surrender as demons always circle.

Today, begins a new day of our fight.
And I have a good feeling about this day.
Onward, we have united our minds and gathered ourselves within.
Always ready for we accept our fear.

We accept our hate and everything in between.
Accept it all for what it really is.
No amount of doubts will over throw us.
Onward, to peace.

Patradoot or The Messenger 38 /Many

Patradoot or The Messenger 38 /Many

English version by Ravindra K Kapoor
Originally written in Hindi by my
Late father Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor

The charm and beauty of her lovely eyes, dear,
I could not find even in the loveliness of a deer,
Such are the fascinating charms of her eyes,
Even the Sun would not come out feeling shy.

If any tears would appear in her eyes by mistake,
It would get burnt by the shine of her eyelids, dear letter,
Even the bunch of deer moving here and there
Would feel shy to behold the beauty of such eyes.

Such lovely pairs of my beloved’s eyes would be luster less
Because of her long waiting for me and her silent sobbing,
The moment she would see and hear you, dear letter,
Tears would start coming out from her eyes like rivers.

Her face use to shine like the full Moon, dear letter,
After the tender touch of my love rains,
In compassion of seeing such beauty of her, dear,
The Moon too would feel shy to appear before her.

During the chewing of beetle leafs dear letter,
Her lips used to get red, darker than the lotus petals,
Seeing even Sun with its alluring redness would feel,
Shy to come out before my beloved, dear letter.

Patradoot in Hindi was originally written by my late father
Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor around 1932, who was a freedom fighter.

He wrote Patradoot in Hindi, when he was kept in Faizabad Jail for quite
a long time. The Epic was written as a gift for my mother and it was
sent to her secretly from Faizabad Jail. He was imprisoned
by the British, as he was fighting for India's freedom
under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. He was imprisoned
many times during 1920 to 1947. After India’s
independence as a true follower of Gandhi Dr. Amar Nath
Kapoor left active politics and devoted rest of his life in
writing easy mass literature and wrote many Dramas,
Poetry books, epics. All his other literary
works were mainly written from 1955 to 1990.
He left this mortal world in 1994.

Nature Portraits - Mountain, Sequoia, Sunset, Thunderstorm, Waterfall

The grandeur of a majestic mountain standing proud against the horizon with its snow-capped peak enveloped in fleecy white clouds against a clear azure blue sky The glorious majesty of a stately sequoia towering above the surrounding vegetation being the largest living thing on earth its massive trunk over thirty feet wide with its gnarled rugged beauty The wondrous artistry of the setting sun edging the darkened clouds with silver linings and painting the evening sky in brilliant colours of the rainbow mirrored on the ocean's surface below The awesome power of a thunderstorm at night with jagged bolts of lightning that split the darkness and light up the surroundings with blinding dazzling intensity The thunderous roar of a mighty waterfall cascading down in huge torrents of liquid fury smashing into the water below creating mists of water droplets that transform the sunlight into a rainbow

Thoughts of You

Random thoughts of you run
randomly throughout my mind,
as I hold, looking through a simple picture of you and I,
smiles and holding each other,
embracing warmth brings me to sanity,
watching your hand on my forearm,
as you gaze into my eyes.
Oh the tears flood such emotion,
only you and I now in such madness we call love,
such madness we all call life,
such madness we all call reality.

Thoughts of me without you,
I cannot bear to see such a sight in mind,
to hear such words that tear my heart out
and sadness stabs me rapidly in the back,
and I can't bear to see such a sight as this.
Thoughts of you
running randomly throughout my mind,
my hair turns silver and white with stress
of not being with you,
and my liver covered with cancer,
and lungs black with smoke,
and stomach embraced with ulcers.

All I ask for you,
is not to be a thought anymore,
and come back to me in flesh and bone
in a portrait painting of you in reality
come to me with your beauty and glory
and kind heart and hold me again,
and let me kiss you again and love you again,
and call you mine again.
Don't say it is impossible,
when you know and I know,
that it is in fact possible
to love each other once again.

Rise, Die, Shine

Build me a temple high…high…high up where the sun can rise
Where good can shine and the evil die as a plant in winter time.
Let it rise
Let it die
Let it shine
Build it high up the moon
But under the sky
And let the sun shine
Through the skin that dims inner light
Let the light unfold the eyes
And see the beauty inside of this small world that wants to shine
Let the war be the plant that could die in winter time
Let it rise
Let peace in the world rise
High…high up like a bird flying up to the sky
Let it die
Let hate die
As a phoenix and be reborn as a flower
Full of scents and beauty instead.
Let it shine
Let our inner light shine
Let it shine through our skin and show us that we can light up the way without hate and
without pain
Let it rise
Let it die
Let it shine
Let the battle field turn into a garden
Let the soldiers be the flowers
And the ammunition be the fertilizing soil
Build me a temple high…high up the sky
To symbolize world peace.
Don’t rush take your time
until we find out that we can shine
Let our soul rise
Let our evil die
Let our ability to find world peace shine.

It's here at last

It’s here at last

At last the spring is really here
The weather’s warm and sweet
The doves up in the seed trays coo
As so peacefully they eat
The fountain plays a melody
As wispy clouds up in the sky
They form in me these images
As the morning passes by

Geraniums in their many hues
They shine out in the sun
The dog runs round with rubber bone
He’s having heaps of fun
The mulberry tree is so alive
She loved that winter rain
She knows as she grows her baby shoots
That the rain was not in vain.

The washing hanging on the hoist
Gives out such sweet perfume
One would think the gentle rose
Was close with tender bloom
Mauve hibiscus dances softly
Within the cooling breeze
And all of this portrayed together
It gives my mind such ease.

Crape Myrtle Tree

Crape Myrtle tree, a beautiful sight
Blooming in summer as days turn warm
Purple petals fall, a visual delight
Crape Myrtle tree, a beautiful sight
Delicate blooms, soaking up light
Flowering in splendor with unique charm
Crape Myrtle tree, a beautiful sight
Blooming in summer as days turn warm

Flourishing tree, reaching to sky
Summer sun sizzles, beauty remains
Lush branches touch birds flying by
Flourishing tree, reaching to sky
Sunshine streams through clouds on high
Children seek shade in wind song refrain
Flourishing tree, reaching to sky
Summer sun sizzles, beauty remains

The peace of night begins to set in.

Dreams waft through my window
and the crickets lull me to sleep.

Sonnet On The Sun

          Sonnet On The Sun

One orb and only one shines on in life
You are much warmer than the morning sun
Remember the volcanoes at Tenerife
Canary Islands paradise adrift in fun

Hanging there upon a limb of golden time
We conjure elements of joy forever
What favors in the mind recall unwinds
When in our orbits moon pulls down its lever

But there within the walls of love light sealed
The glow of life can’t hide inside forever
There in the wicket world concealed, revealed
That Winter breaks for kinder weather

My love with sun and moon gathered family
Their fortunes shine on together amicably

My Beautiful Penelope

Oh my sweet and beautiful Penelope
Oh how beautiful you are, and when I see you come down
to the pearl gates of immortality and come down to see me,
as we join hands and walk the shorelines
I see you my beautiful Penelope, she you who walks through beauty,
We shall join in immortality.
Your heart built of stone and paved in golden
you born out of the beauty of a rose and maturity of a lady
you are the one who never sings a depressing and low melody.

My Beautiful Penelope,
The one beautiful lady form Napoli
Oh, how you walk in such glory.
See me look over you and hear my heart beat
for you, I love you, see me for I care about you.
Take it from me, for I shall take you by the hand
and as our shadows rise to meet us in the morning
I can make love to you, then we shall love the night away.
My beautiful Penelope, as I take you through the twilight
we dream of shooting stars falling from the evening skies,
as we hold each other close,
take me and I shall take you and bring each other together,
and fuse us together with a sweet and loving kiss.

She is my beauty and I love her
she takes me by the hand and curels me to her warm chest.
Cares for me,
Makes me laugh,
Makes me feel good and uplifts my soul
everytime I lay my almond eyes upon her beauteous body.
My beautiful Penelope, oh how I see the glory in your blue eyes,
your luxurious, long flowing hair colored golden
like the rays of the morning sun.

Dare to care
about such beauty in her eyes?
Dare to care
about such beauty in her cries,
as she tells me of her suicide struggles?
I hold you close to me
and I hope you to be
my love for all eternity.
See me and I see you to tell me about you and your day,
as you come home and say,
That you love me.
And I shall say I love you too,
with a zealous attitude in my voice
I shall take you into our room and you shall tell me about your day.
You shall tell me, under the shadows of the trees, the houses, the red rocks.
I shall show you love in a handful of roses,
deliver you a bouquet of roses and violets,
as we see the breeding lilacs grow tall,
we shall lay in the grasslands and look up at the clouds,
that shape themselves into beautiful paintings in the glorious blue sea
we call the sky.

Oh My beautiful Penelope
my glorious maiden lady,
who sings such beauty in her melody
that it brings tears to nightingales' eyes.
My beautiful Penelope, you are my love
here are a dozen roses for you to express and show my love for you,
my beautiful Penelope.
Love is eternal with you.

Dreamer

Close your eyes for awhile my friend, I heard there lies a moon far behind the black sky, I heard lovers were dancing beneath, can you hear them singing? I can feel their tipsy steps making rhymes on floor, and smell of perfumes filling the air, I heard a sun rises to brighten up their world, and birds do sing them charming melodies at morning, they say they have roses in colors and beautiful trees in the streets, and have they told you about the sea yet? They say it smells so wonderful and the delicate air of seas caresses their cheeks with soft wet breezes, oh my friend, what have we seen in the dark but the fragile ghosts that we are!

“Hush” whispered to me, “I lighted up a moon inside my heart and I smell lilies and jasmine in my nose, my dreams play tunes my heart dance on, they speak to me all night and there I see a starry night floats above, I feel the warmth of a sun in my soul as it hugs tight, whispering to me hymns of love and joy, lightening candles for hopes which had accompanied me amongst the dark, why have you closed your eyes my friend? Look through the colorful roses I painted for you with eyes wide open, let the lights off so you would see clearer, let the lights off so you can brighten up the world that hides with you, for my friend, what have we seen in the dark but the free spirits that we have become!

September Weather

Ah, the september weather is here,
the trees turn firery red and orange,
and the leaves gently fall to the surface.

Fall is here,
and the grass turns from green to yellow,
the souls of many change their ways.

From going on beaches in sun
to walking on wet streets,
with jackets on.

September weather is here,
too most it is depressing to see,
such change in the world.

But I love it.
The girlfriends and boyfriends go away,
and that makes me happy.
Then I go apple picking.

I pick red apples,
from low, hanging apple trees.
and I eat one, while walking down the trail.

Fall is here,
the time of death,
the last of sunshine.

I don't argue,
I love fall,
it is so cosy and it gives me hope.

Hope that a day will come again,
when the sun pops its head out
and the warmth returns.

September weather is the best,
when summer is gone, but not quite,
and the cool breeze sweaps through your open windowpane.

I love fall,
it gives me hope,
that with death comes life.

A Wilted Beauty

I held a beautiful flower in my hand...
I watched it lean where the sun ran...
My fingers and warmth slowed its growth...
So I let it go for its beauty to float...
It flourished in a world of sun and peace...
But soon the days ran and the sun was a tease...
Wilted and sad it now fades too fast...
And with a fall chill this beauty did soon pass...

Scarlet Moons and Indian Suns

Written August 29, 2013

She could have had my son
As we'd spell our names as one
On scattered ocean shores
Beneath that Indian sun

I loved my ma
And I loved her well
I loved my pa
And that musty smell

I hope to see them some day soon
I hope to see them smiling too
This Earth they left a bit too soon
Much thanks unto the scarlet moon

Some day well all be joined as one
Under scarlet moons and Indian suns

I love my family
How I miss this feeling
Of constant embrace
Awaiting at my feet

So come and pray for rain
To wash away our pain
Before the winter stains
What autumn left to drain

I hope to see them some day soon
I hope to see them smiling too
This Earth they left a bit too soon
Much thanks unto the scarlet moon

Some day well all be joined as one
Under scarlet moons and Indian suns

The Beautiful Woman

Beautiful women stridding along
beach front properties
after the cruel april showers have rolled through
damaging and overflooding the hanging geraniums,
and the despise of jealous boys
rolling through hemlock, with trousers stained with sand,
they gaze like dogs looking at a juicy bone,
at the beautiful women, all of them walking hand and hand
singing songs of love, as hummingbirds and nightingales
soar high over their heads, keeping them all company,
all singing songs of love.

Go now, go now, into the gardens of beauty
there you'll find me hinding, waiting
for my beautiful women that spare no glance,
but a quick of a hand I am allowed.
Go now, go now, into the gardens of beauty
pick the red roses that bloom,
and leave the blue violets for the dead.

See the beautiful women, as the jealous boys huddle around me,
we gaze at their beauty and hold our breath,
till they start laughing.
They drink tea, read novels and talk about everything
that matters to naive girls' mind.
We listen and hear their secrets, some horrid
and some unbearable to listen too.

Go now, young boys and stride on
go to the beach front properties
in your straw hats and sandstained trousers
and call unto me, when the beautiful women
come once again striding along.

One beautiful woman I gaze upon
blonde hair, blue eyes
the sweetest of arian races
she wears her flannel, spring dress,
and cottonswab blouse,
she turns to me, hiding in the rose peaker bushes,
she looks at me and smiles.
I hide my emotion and I leave the garden of beauty,
to stride for another day.
To see the young, beautiful girls,
to see that one, that is not hard to spot
the one, like the first rose to bloom
she is not hard to spot.

One day, as I sit in the garden of beauty,
my courage will reign over me
and I shall present myself to her grace
and glorious beauty.
Go now my dear, go now, go to the garden of beauty,
and share your stories and drink your tea in peace;
Pick the ruby roses, but leave the blue violets for the dead,
for I am safe and I am just around the corner.

Wake Me, When the Morning Comes

A night full of nightmares
and suicidal tendencies,
feeling pain rush, like tidal waves
crushing me and blood boiling
anger wishes and takes the best of me;
but can I heal my own heartbreak?
Will I ever find love again?
See the angel of death come to me,
smiles and says come with me.
Oh, Wake me, when the morning comes,
so I can show evil the light.

Feelings eternal and fragile,
she walks some lonesome highway
travelled by the ones who fall in love.
She a grand fool, who takes life for
granted,
wake her with the morning light
and shine down rays of goodness and
pride
and show her the path that leads back to
me.

Wake me when the morning comes,
place her upon my doorstep
and a smile upon her loving face,
I'm not ready to move on just yet.
I don't want anymore nightmares
and nightly visits from the black angels.
I don't want to see blue eyed Death,
with his grinning skull and black robe.
I want to see the sunshine break through
my window
and I want to hear the birds sing love
songs,
and the trees dancing to the wind's sweet
melody.
I want to awake to her sweet and glorious
beauty.
Wake me, when the morning comes,
when I can open my eyes to anew
and see life in a new day,
and live life in a new way.

Goats

Goats

They’re everywhere
These pretty little creatures
On the serpent road to Exmouth
They be some of the features
Along with Emus, Kangaroos
And handsome birds of prey
These little goats be bountiful
They’re all along the way.

They be domestic goats
Who’ve gone back to the wilds
Where they have bred one million fold.
As one moves along the miles
These little goats be seen so much
In their many shades and hues
Don’t know where they got their water
It be tough country too.

The weather here be hot and dry
As the sun bakes everything
And mostly here no rain does fall
To drinking water bring.
And yet these goats look healthy as
Such nimble little beasts
You’d see some dead there in the road
As the crows do have their feast.

That be the price of progress
That poor beasts have to die
That be the curse of human beings
Sometimes it makes me cry
Yet still they be so plentiful
These handsome little guys
Another little part of nature
That make love in me rise.

Lady Una and the Lion

Walking in the meadow of life on that summer day

Where she always loved to be at Una walked along the steady stream
As she picked up the white Lilly flower and put upon her hair of gold (princess of love)

And the daughter of a dander king
Una suddenly turned her head to the old orchard tree and begun to sing roman lullabies of joy

With tears of affection shed for the god who lives above the skies
At that moment she gazed back to the stream
And there the lion stood so tall just like a king eyes wide looked to una
As she went toward the mighty lion he went to her and utter'd thee words
I am a creature of pride with nothing to hide I am pure of heart true of courage with a mask of savage a mane gold as our hearts-

She became very happy and intrigued
As she laid her gentle hands on upon the lion she spoke these words
  -I love thee lion and by sun and moon I love thee freely as men strive for right;
I love thee purely in my old griefs and childhood's faith

There a tiny lamb appears right next to her and the lion
So small and graceful like a gift from god above
The tiny lamb followed them further into the enchanted meadow sky as crystal blue and the wind is calm they drifted off strung into the world
To bring new love joy and courage to the world and spread good faith

On this mystic morning

On this mystic morning

On this mystic morning
The sun lights up blue sky
A honey eater sings his song
It makes me feel so high
I once took drugs to feel like this
But these now I don’t need
I let the morning enter me
And plant love’s tender seed.

On this mystic morning
I sit and sip my tea
As the sun shines through my window
Sending joy right into me
The wonder of the morning time
It makes me want to sing
A lullaby to greet the day
Such joy the morn does bring

On this mystic morning
My soul is born anew
My heart is like a feather
My songs they come on through
Cause it’s my inspiration
It brings my muse to life
On this mystic morning
The whole worlds free from strife.

In Bloom

Written July 29, 2013

The wind blows the rainbows down
Turns your frown upside down
Then spins it back around

The sun hides the moon
Underneath its coat in bloom
The flowers came late this June

The rain in a teardrop
Falls like dew from a leaf
When she looks at me

See that look upon her face
Used to take her to the stars
Now she's headed back from Mars

Now that Venus loves her more
Wouldn't throw her to the floor
Like before

Grey Bird

On that cloudy weekend in June
I hear a soft and graceful tune
from the grey bird on the tree
branch
Singing sweet lullabies felt
blessed in the moment
My body tingles of joy at sight
Gazing out through
my open door,
Letting thoughts fly free
Releasing love out into the horizon
Heart filled with emotion came
over me
Grey bird stood playing its tune
for awhile and on the wings of
letting go
Then as the rain fell from the
sky the grey bird flew away
gracefully
I blew a kiss to the clouds and
utterd these simple words of I
Love You father ( who's now in
heaven ) and yet I hope to hear
that grey bird sing again once
more for me
Farewell, love your son

The Sunset

The Sunset

I never seem to tire
Of the many sunsets I have seen and
I ask that you now join me as
the sun sinks slowly in the sky so we
might watch together as the
colors paint their way across the canvas,
their brilliance radiating from between the
clouds with which they seem to play.

My Love Intended

My love intended for the girl of my dreams,
she walks from side to side,
not knowing that I walk alone.

She is beautiful than any other thing in this simple world,
everything around her shakes and trembles
as she walks on by without a spare of a passing glance.

The wine is drunk
the last cigarette smoked,
the pain of heartache gone away.

It feels good to see her go my way,
to take the pain with her away from me,
as I sit in the wayward cafe on the river of ashes.

A beautiful girl she is mine,
but that course of life shall no surpass mine,
and my heart beats and takes me away
in hope of falling in love.

Irony of love and hate,
it is similar in many ways,
as I sit and think of her.

She angers me,
but when the vail of anger falls over my eyes,
the passion of love enters my mind.

Come now, take me away,
hold me in your beauty,
and love me with your gentle body.

Go into the gardens,
where the nightingales sing,
and sit at the patio's crossway.

Watch the artists paint pictures of the garden,
watch the writers write about the garden,
and watch us go and pick flowers in the garden.

The air smooth and wind breeze calms the nerves,
the pain of my sorrowed heart is soothed,
by her sweet intellegence and beauty.

Her eyes, orbs of blazing sunlight,
blind me with the beauty of her beauteous face,
her lips and skin smooth and pure.

She is glorious,
My love she is the dream girl,
who comes and takes my nightmares away from me.

As I sit on the park benches,
I light my last cigarette,
and reminicse on the days with my love.

I close my tired eyes only for a moment,
and the moment is gone,
my beauty is gone.

The tears are all gone,
the pain has gone,
the feelings of everlasting love are all gone.

Where did it all go?
Where did my beauty go?
Where did my love go?

All gone now, all gone now,
as I grow old,
the feeling of death takes me by surprise.

The park bench is cold,
the cigarette is burnt out,
I am longing for a drink.

I lay in a wayward cafe
drink a coffee and talk to myself
discussing a book of poetry.

Looking over to the right
I am blinded by beauty once again
this time this is no dream.

Alas, my dream girl came
that appeared in my sunny pleasure dome,
who has walked barefoot in the gardens of my mind.

She sat with me,
I looked at her
and we smiled together.

We held hands together,
and dreamed together,
forever and ever.

Love everlasting,
everything everlasting,
cigarettes smoked together.

A cloud over our heads
in the shape of a heart
my love.

Goodbye my Summer Love

Though the midnight summer rains
as we sit together under the geraniums,
hanging low and at full bloom,
we hold hands and talk of old times;
times that were kind to us and our youth.
As summer storms light up the night skies
We kiss the storm away, as it rolls through the grey skies
and the lighting cracks the clouds in half,
riping a hole in the universe, as we kiss the night away.

We sit throughtout nightlong summer dreams
and talk, and we hear the storms roll into the golden hills
of summer meadows filled with roses and a field full of daisies.
Love rests in time to see us grow old together,
and love strengthens its walls and pulls us closer together.
We shall go now, as day turns to night,
into our chamber of love and sleep the night away, together.
Hold us close to each other, as I rest my head on you sweet bossom,
and you nurture me to life of talks of love and beauty.

Nature whispers and sings us songs,
as we kiss and go for walks through the countryside
looking at the golden hills soaked in the rolling storms
that summer offers every year, upon a silver platter.
Sooth me, my love as I tell you of the sorrow I have witnessed.
Embrace me with your curiousity and tell me of the beauty in
the secrets of life and its hidden messangers
that hold secret letters from Devils that send temptations
to destroy something that we share, that is so beautiful and true.
Tell me that life will be okay, and my love is still true and with you.
Tell me my sweet and beautiful love, tell me if everything will be alright.

Love has seen us come and go, through the narrowed and sprinkled streets,
as we move through life fused at hands and eyes blind, not noticing the possiblities of death at any moment stalking us with knives jabbing at our backsides.
We are blind, for we see each other and only each other.
As we live life eyes a blazed looking at the sun, we do not notice the obvious between us.
Caring from me, at my time of need I never noticed the betrayal of our love.
My heart sees, but I deny the obvious and see what I hear.

As I see the knife drive deep in my heart,
you with a suitcase in hand,
I stand on my front steps and I watch the summer storms
come back over the golden hills to say, "hello"
Love is the same everytime, like a summer storm;
beautiful to watch, but when it leaves, it is depressing to say, "goodbye"
Now I sit, as the geraniums dry up and die
and the wrinkles at my eyes make me blind,
I see love walk past my house and mock me with lone kisses.

Perfect Peaceful Summers Day

A hot summer sun
and clear unblemished sky
reflected upon the idle tranquil
water surface of a sparkling river
as the glorious day gently and slowly goes by
Passing tall flourishing sprawling
trees with their rustic burnaged leaves
gently swaying in a caressing breeze.

Elegant swans with their long necks
and heads held high
plumage as white as virgin snow
gracefully glide by
Damsel flies and dragon flies
living jewels adorn their summer clothes
as the heady fragrance of Lilac
wafts beneath ones nose.

Fish with there pouting lips
lazily try
to kiss the sky
while painted lady butterflies
dance a delicate ballet
with the midst of this perfect day.

Within the tall finger reeds
cute and mother duck and ducklings
peck at the water to feed.

A symphony of joyous bird song
delights ones ears
and touches the soul
as the temperature sears.

Upon the bank under a weeping willow tree
lay two lovers wrapped safely in each others arms
fast asleep
on their warm tender hearts their secrets they keep
as they dream in lands faraway
on this perfect peaceful
Summers day
Making hearts smile.

Ocean Dance

Soft sun, dripping through
the trees, landing on
her smiling face.

Waves made of laughter
crashing down in dreams
lost in the cool light.

Gone are the days of
fanciful sights and gold memories.
Now she has seashell thoughts and
ocean air dreams.

Wind and salt against her skin,
soft, crushed powder beneath her tanned feet.
Smelling sea breezes calms her mind.
Melodies that the ocean plays just for her,
making her soul dance.

our islands

we see the sun almost everyday
when it's not hiding behind
a thick haze
we live near tall buildings
that hide the moon
and the lights of the city
makes the sky a dark gloom
what chance have i to make it
to the beach
i'm poor and have nothing
so it's out of my reach
our birds are pigeons
not much to see
and our wildlife the rats
with whom we compete
our beauty is different
than beauty you know
our beauty is make up
and sometimes tatoos
tatoos of the very things you speak
the sun the moon
and a beautiful beach

Cry Of The Whippoorwill

The mist seems to be covering the cool water this morning
Just like my grandmother's quilt lying across her feather bed
The sun is breaking dawn, on the horizon brightly shining
As I hear the last cry of a whippoorwill and wonder what it said

The nighttime creatures have found their place for sleeping
In their burrows and on highest branches, some now are perching
The daytime comes alive with the sounds of all of those
Who simply prefer life in sunshine I suppose

The faint light of the stars turns into sunrise golden hue
Then the sky above goes from darkness to pale blue
The mist disappears as though it had never been
Perhaps just being absorbed back to where last night it began

The trees gently wave as if to say hello to a new day
White clouds roll across the sky in an entertaining way
Making pictures as they go for all who take the time to see
What to make of each is up to you and me

Now the sun starts sinking as the breeze begins to still
I can see the moon peeking over the far distant hill
I once again hear the lonely cry of a single whippoorwill
The mist re-appears and with stars the night sky does fill

True Beauty

Intro
It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there is only one I behold as the
one beautiful enough to see the true beauty within.

I
I wish that I could tell her how I feel
I wish that I could show her I'm for real
I'm going to give her all that she would need
Listen to my story and take heed
II
The sun may rise, the sun may set
The power of her beauty they will never get
Many have tried without any rest
To obtain the beauty that she possess
III
She has the smile of a baby
But the soul of a lady
She is in search of that perfect love
The only one that comes from above
IV
When I look into her eyes, I can see the pain
Wherever she looks, it just seems to rain
But through every situation she has stood tall
And kept herself from a great fall
V
Some may ask if she is real
Can one be this perfect without a seal?
To know the truth of what I've seen
Just look in the mirror to know what I mean
VI
We have held hands throughout the years
We have also shed many of tears
One thing that I am proud to see
You have become a beautiful woman to me

Into the Sunlight

It is the divine time again,
where my eyes gain
an opportunity to see the sky
fiery, as though the sun
has poured its energy
on the stars, causing a fiery
reaction that is beautiful, and doesn't burn......

Crystal Winter

Crystal lines with their
sparkling sides glistening in
early morning light.

Evergreen, dripping with heavy white blankets.

Rabbits hiding in their snug little
boroughs, safe from the chill.

Snow rising high, into drifts and mounds that dwarf the trees.

The sun glitters off everything,
magnified by the icy prisms.

A red cardinal perched upon a silvery-green bough.
Ever watchful, welcoming winter with his cranberry plumage.

A crystal winter in the tranquil forest land.

View from a Hill

Oh, I get such a lovely thrill
looking out from the top of a hill
The view is very heavenly
enchanting me with its beauty

Watching the clouds in the sky
I see them slowly drifting by
Some of them are white and fluffy
making me feel bright and cheery
Some are shaped like animals
A horse, a whale and other mammals

Looking down in the valley below
Trees are bathed with the sunshine's glow
Water in the stream that's flowing
is crystal clear and glistening

Yes, the view from the top of a hill
certainly gives me a lovely thrill

The Beauty of Sunset

The Southern Hemisphere has such beauty
such a coolness in the air
bringing colour to the horizon
makes one want to stare

In early morning seat on veranda
watching the sun about to rise
having tea and toast for breakfast
looking above the South African skies

It's beauty knows no bounds
exceeding the grandest rainbow
such brightness stunning the eyes
looks such a blinding show

For this experience is simply sublime
taking away your very breath
oh to go into fast freeze
keep it still until your death

Then from heaven looking down
upon this stunning sun
the creator who made it
this is a job well done

Africa III

Heart pounding
Nervous feeling
Overwhelming
Deep breath to shake it
Cold chill slivers down fast

Beating against cage of heart
Cage of body
Cage of soul
Legs begging to run
Heart aching to be free
Truth to self
aching to be seen

Sweet scent of dry savannah plains
Sharp smell of thorny veins
The aroma of Africa surrounds
Scents sights sounds
In these home is found

Frustration mounts
Captured leopard
Bound

Snarling at every motion made
Scared but defiant
Blinded by fear and rage

Paws long for endless journeys
On paths walked centuries ago
For elegance in element
A space all her own
Where earth still bleeds red on horizon
Morning and night
Continuing the endless fight

Fight for borderless freedom
Everlasting sight
The pale yellow green eyes
Dismays the truth inside
But tell the story
Of wild soul
Story to unfold

The Heart of my Friend

The Heart of my Friend

The wings of the butterfly are painted so unique
With God painting them how am I to critique
So vivid and beautiful as they float on the air
Showing off their beauty but nothing to compare

The mountains out west are so majestic and tall
The colors are beautiful especially during the fall
When the sun rays hit them they show all their might
The colors so crimson when the sun goes down at night

The colors of the rainbow before and after the rain
Figuring out how God made it makes you wanna go insane
From the red to the purple I know God had a plan
He’s painted the world with a perfectionist hand

The heart of my friend is as beautiful as can be
Like the wings of the butterfly it shows her beauty
Like the mountains out west her colors so pretty at night
Like the beauty of the rainbow it’s reflected by the light

God’s touched my friends face with the tip of his brush
Her smile like a monet and her voice is so plush
You’ll understand one day if she ever lives in your heart
But I’m not sharing she’s more precious than art

There’s no other heart like my friends this is true
Her smile so amazing and her eyes so imbue
She’s one of Gods wonders and God sent her my way
I’m so blessed to have her in my heart every day

The Well of Dreams

Black foggy darkness swallowing me whole
enveloping me in madness I can't seem to control
dripping smoothly down my throat it stings
horrible grotesque aftertaste it brings
clamping tighter can't breathe, lungs burst
grasping the lasting soul dream to quench my thirst
plunging head first I tear through asunder
crashing off these empty walls like sharp lighting and thunder
light breaks, a dawn thrust forth and born again
Ascending I break the surface towards the sky
a blue and white rhapsody of ribbons floating by
sparkling droplets shimmer in my eyes
i awaken, my dream has ended.

74 Seconds

~~This poem contains 74 syllables~~enjoy!!

The sun rays caresses my eyesight

If I… had an interview with the sun,
Would it last about 74 seconds?

Will it count as an eloquent conversation?

Why does the sun have so many layers?

If I… could have a vacation in space,
Many things would catch my eye – the sun
Would make me BLIND!

Crazy World Of Skin Colour

Some dark-skinned people seek to lighten their skin colour
By applying skin creams to make themselves fairer
Most of these creams have some chemical matter
That can cause serious health problems later
Their use is common in countries like India
Where beauty and fair skin tone go together
Girls are encouraged to avoid too much exposure
To the sunshine which can make their skins darker

But some white-skinned people who are born fairer
Are not satisfied with their natural skin colour
And wilfully seek more sunlight exposure
To get a tan and make their skins darker
For them, a skin that is darkened looks better
And is more beautiful than their natural colour
Yet, for white people, sunlight overexposure
Can lead to a deadly form of skin cancer

Some animals like to wallow in muddy water
Which when dried can change their outer colour
But this serves as a temperature regulator
And keeps off skin pests of one form or another
Animals do not seek to change their skin colour
To consciously make themselves fairer or darker
Such weird action is purely human in nature
In this crazy world of people's skin colour

Under the African Skies

I stand gazing across the vast plains of Africa
Plains empty of man-made monsters,
Filled only with God’s beauty and grace

The stillness of the beauty fulfills me
I inhale deeply filling my lungs with the pure air-The air is sweet and refreshing,
The smell of life, brought only by the heavenly rain on our African soil
I watch the sun take its place, casting away the clouds
As the dark clouds tumble away, the sky is filled with the beautiful spectrum of light,
My eyes feast on the mesmorising colours of the rainbow-This is the symbol
Of God’s promise to Africa
As I gaze at this colourful ghost of life I realize
The true pot of gold of this rainbow is Africa.

I kneel on the soil, running it through my fingers,
Each grain like a diamond and me the diamond digger
I close my eyes feeling the warm breeze blow through my hair
It carries the messages of all the creatures
Telling stories of the battles of the plains,
Those conquered, those lost and those still to come
It is the breeze of life, the life force that fills every living creature, connecting us all as one

As I shout out to the heavens the land is filled with my voice,
Echoing like the deep thunder of the skies
I hear the calls of birds across the plains, a vast network of communication
I see a herd of antelope running and leaping through this maze of beauty

I start to run, sprinting until I no longer can
I stare into the face of the African sun as it bleeds to death, painting a red smile
Across the glowing orange sky
Until, darkness
The night sky is illuminated with Africa’s sparkling jewels,
The great kings of our past, watching over us and
Guarding our blessed lands

I lay back and close my eyes
The silence of the plains is a symphony to my ears,
Every individual blade of grass creating its own unique sound to the choir of Africa, Singing
the songs of angels,
Calling us home

Stay

She said baby I have to go,
I said girl you don't need to go,
Because baby I want you to stay,
'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

I said baby I'm feelin you,
And I'm fallin in love with you,
Which is somethin I never thought I would do,
But, I did today,
So girl, Why don't you stay,

Chorus:2x
Why don't you stay, 4x
'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

She said baby I have to leave,
I said girl I don't want you to leave,
My darling please stay with me,
'Til the night end,
Then come back again,

Because baby we have a chance,
For us to have a great romance,
So, girl take my hand and dance,
You don't have to go,
Baby don't go,
Chorus: 3x

'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

Loving touch

Your hands are like sunshine that

warms the inner parts of my soul.

The rays warming my inner being,

keeps me thinking of how the colors

of the flowers are so vibrant and

powerful in their activity.

As the flowers dance in a slight breeze,

the sun gives way to darkness and the night sky embraces the stars so numerous,

so shiny, so many.

As the night fades, the sun warms the day,

The breeze picks up the flowers in a dance, and your hands warm my soul again,

with the rays from the suns warmth and the shadows of the colors show the love inside your touch.

My Morning Revelation

I just got back from my morning walk
I had forgotten how exhilarating it is
To watch the sun rise
Up over the hills of Beirut.

The campus where I teach is simply breathtaking
Nestled cozily in the pine tree forests on top of a hill,
It offers a panoramic view of Beirut

Many years back this was not a good thing
As the army brought a tank up to the upper campus
To shell enemy positions in Beirut
And our campus got riddled with bombs
We spent our days in shelters
While our campus burst into flame

But this morning, I didn’t remember any of that
I walked on the lower campus and gazed out at Beirut
I walked like a fool....my eyes looking up
Saying a shy good morning to the clouds
And a warm good morning to the One beyond

While I did my sit-ups on one of the benches
I looked up into the jacaranda tree
Its branches were naked, but I knew, I knew that in spring
It would be regal in purple finery
That would enchant all those who walked
Under the train of its beauty
Later it would rain purple petals down on all
But purple kisses for me, for I’m in love with this hue

As a reward, as always… I drove up to the upper campus
While listening to music, my second passion
As my car made the turns
I tried to keep my eyes on the road
And not fixed on the hills where the sun was getting ready
To make his glory known
Nor down on Beirut that was just waking up from slumber

I passed places that my heart cherished
Where my husband first asked me to be his
Where we parked the car and looked at
The dazzling lights of Beirut at night
Our hearts ablaze with the burning passion of youth
The place where he wanted to claim possession of me
But held back…honoring custom and tradition

I drove down slowly
I drove down reluctantly
I wanted to relive everything
To find the joy of being alive, once more
I had forgotten how beautiful the mornings are
I had forgotten who I am in the great scheme of things
But HE reminded me…
As the sun pushed through the clouds and shone in brilliance
The verse came to my mind…
“And the Son of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings.”
Arise in my heart, for I need your healing!

Lollipops And Angels Wings

Time to write of happy things
Like lollipops and Angels wings
Pretty rainbows across the sky
Watching Sea Gulls as they fly
To see the sun begin to rise
All this beauty before our eyes
We watch a boat go sailing by
Watch the fog roll in up high
See the tides as they move about
High tide comes in, low goes out
At night we watch the sun go down
So much beauty for us all around
So dont forget the simple things
Like lollipops and Angels wings

Where Do The Butterflies Go

Teardrops of dews glistening
Breaks the days of dawn
Caterpillars shedding shells of cocoon
Awakening with yawns

The little fairies quaintly appear
Dancing their favorite dances, all the day long
But, where do the butterflies dance to
When the sun hides her head...
And the days are shamelessly gone?

They fill up my gardens
Frolic from tip of tulip to end of the rose
Next to sunflower, daffodil the flutter flies flown
Never attempting to speak even one little peep
Keeping their precious secrets
From sun up until the sundown

A parade of floats
Viceroy to the Monarch whom he tries to pretend
Royal and regal, ginger and black
Passes the hours while waltzing with flowers
But where does each of them go as processions end?

Dainty, the Painted lady curtseys
Among the swallowtails that swan through the weed
And the Admirals through the blade
But soon to hide away
Flying rainbows of season’s beginning to fade

And my magical gardens now they are bare
The little fairies all have disappeared
Following the whisper of wisps, of a new winter’s air

It’s the beginning of autumn
And soon will come the billows of snow
Did they take journey to a summer, in a far away land
Where oh, where did the butterflies go

Natures Dream

I walk through the field of green
My feet are bare and the grass squishes underneath me
The rain is falling like little pebbles soaking me in beauty
I breathe in deep letting its sweet scent fill my nose
Suddenly my feet are moving in a circle
I am dancing, dancing with love and hope
Love for the rain and its beauty
Hoping this moment will last a lifetime

My summer dress flowing in the wind
Until it’s sprinkled with tears from heaven
I can’t imagine anything greater than this
I have fallen in love with this day
This moment means only the world to me
The burning yellow sun peaks out of the clouds
Shinning down on me with its warmth
The drops ping against my face leaving a stream

I am still dancing in a circle now waving my arms in the air
The song of nature sings to me in the wind
It sounds like a dozen wooden flutes
The tune is sweet so sweet I get swept away in it
The grass is so green like emeralds from God
I fall from dancing and roll down the grass
The whole time I am laughing and it sounds as if the butterflies are too
My pretty white dress is now green

Butterflies dozens of them are flying around me
They surround me in their array of magical colors
They start to hum to the song of nature sung by the wind
It seems as if this tune is from heaven
I start to hum along to this wonderful tune it seems so familiar
I close my eyes and start to dance all over
	Letting nature take me away
Birds come and tweet along to the song
I don’t think I just do, I go along with the song

Finally the sun peaks all the way out
I can see it warming up the earth with its warm rays
The rain is still coming down just sprinkling over
I can see ahead a field of daises beautiful white daises
I run as fast as I can to the daises the butterflies and birds follow
They are soft like silk, their smell fills my nose
I close my eyes and run through the endless field of daises
I lay down and watch the fluffy white clouds pass overhead
The sun shinning as bright as ever over the clouds and sky

The sky is baby blue with a little purple
I have never seen a sky so wondrous
It looks so full of possibilities and magic
As I lay there I hear the daises moving in the wind
To the song of nature once again
This I know is beauty at its best
I fall asleep to the tune and awake in clouds
         I am home

Gods Beauty

I thank your dearly god for all the days
You've shown us beauty in so many ways
The crimson sun against the smoky sky
The speckles of villages from mountains high
When everything is covered with a film of dust
Painting your trees 'n shrubs with a film of rust
September's trees in warm attire all flush
As they cover their bareness in quite a rush
The fires that creep over the hills at night
A pretty red rope is all that's in sight
So much awe in the wake of destruction
As all your creatures struggle to function
 Under October's sun bearing down
 Upon the ground completely brown
The rivers trickle to an absolute nil
As all the land becomes deathly still
Upon the flats as the heat's haze lingers there
Survival a must we can hardly bear
But the trees remind us it again soon will rain
As in faith their green leaves refutably remain
As the darkened clouds upon the horizon meet
The hope in the air drifting past is sickly sweet
The parched earth eagerly waits to greet
The large drops of manna falling at its feet
And we all breath a large sigh of relief
As with the waters gift, gone is the grief
Thank you god for all we go through
When we can't really see what's true
Time in its circle such a complex thing
We know healing u always will bring
 So much beauty does abound
That faith can always be found.

FALLING IN LOVE

What a phlox in you I find, What a Rose Flower, oh babe: Bright like early morning sun of xmas. Succulent “things” like the rightly ripe pawpaw at my backyard. Oh Babe what a beauty you are to behold – Making gawping heads not able to eyes hold back, Goggling eyes round whole streets turning in ogle – Stupefying sensations sending down signals into phallic organs! And can I contain this fire of desire? Down my frame, too electrifying, feelings ductile, And whole system holding spellbound, as in phantasmagoria, A deep chill of early harmattan morning. Oh Babe, I can see the fiery flies of love In your luscious orbs flying, beckoning for a dear. But can I be your bee? my sweet sixteen! To your sweet red nipplenectars suck? like a suckling? Nighttime Wonders

There is a place,
a magical wonderland
that sits at the end of your mind,
and everybody dead and living
goes there when they are tired.
It is a place that is special
and is diffrent to stand to your approval.
It is a nighttime wonder
only open from eleven to five
and you can only come,
if you truely believe.

It is a place
where the streets are paved gold,
peace runs through every corner and avenue,
no jails, no hospitals
because there is no crime and no sickness.
The skies are always blue,
and the clouds are all white,
the sun is blazing hot
and the woman all give you a wink of an eye
and all blow you kisses,
where the men want to be you,
and where the women want to sleep with you.
It is a nighttime wonder,
a special place,
in the back of your mind.
It is real, not imaginary,
nothing is fake about this place,
this is where dreams come true,
where there are no cancers, headaches, toothaches,
no wars, no enemies, no hangovers,
no schools, no politicians, no lawyers, no greed,
no sin, no temptation, no demons or devils;
everything is beautiful, and everything grand.

A piece of Heaven on Earth.
Everyone is happy,
all with a smile on their face,
not a frown in sight.
Songs are sung with the most beautiful of voices
and the sweetest of songs sung.
This place is a nighttime wonder.

When you tuck yourself under the sheets,
grab your pillow, or girlfriend, or boyfriend
husband or wife, or even your favorite stuffed friend,
we all go to this special nighttime wonderland.
A place of joy, a place of happiness,
a place where you go to forget
and enjoy,
a mini vacation.
Till that alarm clock's annyoing buzz comes on
and pulls you out of that nighttime wonder
and places you back into reality.

Sensational touch

When i step on to the wet grass...
with my bare feet,
i feel its warmth...
a sensation too sweet.
Stamping the droplets of dew,
my heart sings out with glee.
I stretch out my arms,
and dream just to be free.....

A step forward i take...
to feel the beauty so rare.
I feel the sun rays closing my eyes,
n stopping me to feel its glare.
It gave me such a warmth in that cold winter day,
oh heavenly!!! is all that i could say..
It made the earth as gold, to shine,
i was glad that all that was mine.

As i turned around....
i saw the nature at its best.
It was filled with magnificent beauties...
pink n yellow daisies...white n blue lilies.
It gave me such a joy in my heart,
i thought that i am so lucky to be a part.
A fragrance so fresh n rare,
so holy that i could always be there.

When i gazed toward the sky,
i wished that like the birds i could fly.
no boundaries n no limits.....
just me... flying high and high.
They filled the sky with their chirping,
so divine, as a melancholy they could sing.
As the sun fell to dusk...
each one found their way to home.

Such is the nature honey!
with so much of beauty and charm.
It fills our heart with joy...
only happiness it gives... no harm.
I like to worship you oh lord,
like to thank you for this scenic beauty.
I promise to save this unconditional gift,
and to protect it, will be my duty.

Spring

Apple, Peach, and Cherry Blossoms,
Spring Is in the Air
In Every Nook and Cranny
New Life Is Everywhere

The Sun Comes out Bright and Warm
To Shed It's Shimmering Light
Giving New Life to Grass and Trees
And to Each of Us Alike

The Wafting Smell of New Mown Grass
And the Wood Smoke of Burning Brush
Brings Back Memories of Youthful Days
Flooding in with a Joyous Rush

So Many Things to Do!
And Things in Need of Repair!
Brings Promise of Newborn Energy,
Oh Yes! Spring Is in the Air!

Spring Is a Time of Renewing Life
And the Mystery of the Sun
Helps Us Remember Who We Are
Created by God...We Are One.

In the Woods

In the woods the shadows fade

as the sun falls away

the darkness hides the trees inside

the woods come alive.

Hear the sounds the owls make

as they hunt for their sake.

Scattering feet running to hide

little mice trying to fly

the owls are hungry, its their time

to eat and scare the shadows inside.

Now the sun is opening up

the darkness fades and the light shines

the owls sleep and all is safe

for the mice are scampering all around

pleased to know they are safe and sound.

Sunset

Have You Ever Sat in the Evening Sun
And Watched its Scarlet Glow
It Turns the Clouds an Eerie Red
As the Shadows Begin to Grow

The Feeling You Get Is Awesome
But Very Hard to Explain
It's like an Unknown Hand
Has Somehow Eased Your Pain

No One Can Truly Describe
The Affect a Sunset Can Give
To Each of Us It's Different
And We Look at How We Live

So If You've Missed the Setting Sun
That's Something You Should Change
Because it Is the Greatest
It's Wonderful and Sometimes Strange

Why would I swap

Why would I swap?

What have they, these men of wealth?
What could they give to me
I have the skies the clouds the rain
I have eternity
For I would live within this now
Expecting naught at all
Because this world, all by itself
Is so, so beautiful.

I see them with their dull, glum faces
No hint of any smile
And yet I’m supposed to envy them!
With all their wealthy style
No belly laughter comes from them
Cause this be all dried up
As for the joys of life itself
They hardly fill the cup.

While birds are singing in the trees
And the stars shine bright at night
While the flowers smell so wonderful
And the birds give sweet delight!
Oh, I could go on all day long
Why would I want at all?
When my world is oh, so beautiful
And theirs seems oh, so cruel.

see you smile sweet beauty lights
blushes warm the soul

Looking behind the

straight back at you love

Sparkling in the mist

Your Love Is My Eternal Dream

Your love cuts through me, this power controlling me is surreal
not realizing the buttons you push, and how you make me feel
an inner beauty unmarred, like a magnet, you drew me so close
mere sight of you was my healing, like vitamin C, my double dose

Take my hand and I'll show you, a world where you've never been
it is a perfect world, a world no one has ever seen, absent of sin
eyes to glimpse pure angels of light, as bright as the sun at midday
above space and beyond time, where unhappiness has no sway

Then I awoke and came to find, behold, it has all been but a dream
misled thinking we were in that realm, the realm of the supreme
reminded once again, with a heavy heart, that to love it takes two
but all I have found is a temporary escape, a lost love I once knew

remembering the tenderness of your voice, fond memories I did recall
running barefoot that night, hand in hand, with your rain soaked shawl
as the sun rose it revealed the beauty in your eyes, and then I could see
how captivated I was by your smile, waiting for your lips to set me free

I'm a prisoner of your love, a love that has me bound, it was meant to be
trying to free myself, chained by this sole desire, if you would now see
a chance to pledge my love, a love that only now made me understand
a way to become your soul partner, and enabling me to finally withstand

Release me from the confines of a lonely heart, and let those memories renew
days of the past give new life and meaning, with my love, for no one but you
so let the stars and moon be witnesses, for this pact that we will now forever make
and then once again I will close my eyes and dream, my love to never again forsake

Special Nature

There is music in the wind
it blows so softly and sweet;
humming at the top of the hills
and all the trees swing to it

There is beauty in the water
when it flows from the mountains to the valley
splashing on its path from boulder to boulder,
reflecting the sun like a flawless ruby

There is beauty in the morning;
the fog hangs in the air like incense burning
drops of dew hang from the leaves
and sparkle like diamonds set in eaves

There is music in the evening
the sounds of roosting birds fill the evening
and in the sky, just over the horizon,
a yolk-colored sun hastes to its place of dwelling

Rain

The sun beats down on the hot desert sand
As she brushes their silken white mane
No fairer mistress lives throughout the land
Her beauty as rare as the rain

Left behind by a nomadic tribe
Scandal surrounding her birth
Arabian white horses always by her side
Her only family to speak of on earth

A virgin so pure and spirit so free
No one has spoken her name
She is as refreshing as drops from the sky
They simply refer to her as the Rain

You can see her riding an Arabian white steed
Anytime night or day
No other horseman can match her speed
Is what the locals say

Foreigners think when they speak of the Rain
They are talking of drops from above
But it’s this girl they worship who has no name
That they shower with all of their love

The sun beats down on the hot desert sand
As she brushes their silken white mane
No fairer mistress lives throughout the land
Her beauty as rare as the rain

Such A Strange World

Such A Strange World

Such a strange world we live in
Cold air blowing while the warm sun shines
Snowflakes drifting softly to the ground
Shining like chips of the purest diamond they cover the ground
The sky turns into the deepest of baby blues as the sun rises
Making the soft white clouds brighter as they float by
White disappears turning grey in the face of winter’s fury
The winds blow as the light of the sun dies behind the clouds
The soft snowflakes turn to razors as they are whipped by the wind
All of the beauty of the earlier world is gone and forgotten
Snow dunes and ice mounds bury life as they move across the land
Shovels come out under the dim light of amber streetlights
Paths shoveled and reshoveled time after time throughout the night
The morning comes with its own shade of amber
The clouds are gone and the paths are clear
The streets have their own beauty and purity
The sun shines on the fresh snow, untouched by man
Showing that beauty can create chaos
Teaching that chaos can create beauty
A world of contradictions
Such a strange world we live in

FREE CEE dedicated to a lady who in Vienna we were poetry

i found her on a beach in belize
if you please
just sunning herself and taking in the sights and sounds of the gulls
watching ships past by with steady courses set and sturdy hulls
the sun dripped from her shimmer
as i sat blinded by her glimmer
she showed me what was beyond the shore
and so much more
she pointed to the horizon where blue meets the darkness at night
there she sat contemplating mankind's possible destruction and plight
her beauty shone like the sun i tried to hide my eyes from viewing
and being beautiful is all she was doing
and in so doing telling a story that was a warning to all
telling humanity to answer her fervent call
all she wanted was to lay on the beach unafraid of what was to arrive
if all of us didn't get together and learn to mutually survive
no waste to last for a million or more years
no more wars born out by tepid tears
no destroying the balance of nature of which she was too aware
as she sat by her father Neptune's lair
her mother shone as did the daughter i speak of
born from a family of peace, tranquility and of course love
so as the gulls flew by
and their chicks learned to fly
i continued to watch the ships past by sturdy and strong
and no one can convince me that her assertion was wrong
for most assuredly this was no ordinary girl
because this beauty was born of an oyster and her name was pearl

A Horizons' Gold

Flourishing leaves and solemn sunsets,
Yield sensual feelings to never forget.

A brisk moment of natural beauty,
From an evening suns' casting duty.

Staring in awe like a child's first snow,
Gazing through panes in a bedroom window.

A horizons' gold for eyes to behold,
Dimming the earth with shadows so cold.

Fine-ration the seconds,
sweet-savor the sight.
The slimming light beckons,
just prior to night.

-Yours Truly

Midnight is almost here

Long after the sun has set,
and the moon has been out for sometime,
and it is full,
and a couple stars twinkle
with no remorse,
the sky is dark purple and blue.
The headlights from hotrods shine through my living room window,
as I sit there listening to the classical station
on the radio
and I sit hunched over my typewriter,
a cigarette hanging from my mouth,
a half bottle of red wine at my possession.
I look at the clock upon the wall,

11:45 P.M.

Ah, midnight is almost here.
Midnight, the turn of a new day,
as I sit there
I breath in,
feel my heart skip a beat,
I turn to the radio and click it off.
the classical nocturne of Chopin disappears into thin air.
I put out my cigarette,
cork the bottle of wine.
I type one last poem,
before the end of the night,
before the night goes away
into the past.
Then I think to myself,
Goodbye old day,
oh, what memories I created along with the shining of the sun?
Then I write about the midnight slowly approaching,
slowly climbing to the zero hour,
the hour of:
a new day,
a new hour,
a new life,
a new start,
a new woman,
a new adventure,
a new everything,
a new anything,
a new politician,
a new choice of lunch,
a new walk around the block,
a new time,
a new day,
a new sun,
and a new moon,
and after a new day,
a new night,
and another midnight,
and a new cigarette with be lit,
a new bottle of wine will be open,
and drunk with responsibility,
and all will be good
and everything with come into place,
with a new day,
and a new life,
a new midnight.
The start of a night soon will come.

It is now 11:52 P.M.

I've been writing
for seven minutes,
eight more minutes till a new day,
till a new beginning!
I'm tired,
I'm going to bed.
Have a goodnight.

Something about the Month of May

Something about the month of May
Through early dawn unto the day
From dusk to night's twinkling play
Of all nature's beauty on display
The Star's own star shines on so bright
Like the sparkle in her eyes alight
I chance to catch her downcast sight
That sets me lost in love's delight
The day brings colors atop the trees
Magnificent blossoms sway in the breeze
With flaming crimson and fiery red
That fall to form a flowery bed
And upon this path together we tread
I'd pick a flower as on we walk ahead
Put it gently upon her ear to stand
Then carry on walking hand in hand
Across the petaled floral land
her presence lets the flowers look grand
Maybe it might attract some bees?
Who dance around and buzz and tease
I'd hold her tight in a protective squeeze
Even long after the creature flees
Short lived lilies bloom on the side
Blue bell creepers gape with awing pride
Pink blossoms deck the tree like a bride
All I wish is to have my angel beside
The scents tickle my senses astray
How I delve deeper each passing day
Dearest dream lets run away
When the sun streaks its final ray
When squirrels have long finished their play
The birds sing farewells melodious and gay
And the blossoms along with us shall sway!
We'll waltz till our worries wither unto nay
Silhouetted against the twilight sun's delay
The nights are as warm as your touch
The moon up high is just too much
Your smile makes the heart stop as such
The soul deep love can't loosen its clutch
Of all the beauty that graces Spring
Of all the treasures this month does bring
Of the only reason the birds could sing
Was merely me and mother nature conspiring
For setting up your dimpled smile
To listen to your soothing voice a while
As you calmly sing a nostalgic tune
Pleasant as a warm sun on a winter noon
The song softens and your eyes close soon
And a few chestnut locks lie bestrewn
Tickling my neck as you ease a place
Upon my shoulder in a dreamy daze
I look askance to catch your gaze
As I glance upon your cherubic face
To meet your loveliest eyes that steal
The words and thoughts I don't reveal
They hold me with their magical appeal
As our souls swim into love surreal
We close our eyes and like a feather
Float gently into dreams together.

What, another morning song

What, another morning poem!!

On a morning such as this

I sit here feeling total bliss

Writing words, the way I do

I like to write of things brand new

And yet one thing it fills my heart

As I look into the sacred art

Of that power in the sky

Who paint’s the sky as the night time dies.

The birds, they whistle loud and sweet

And from the seed trays they all eat

The cooing of the gentle doves

They make my heartstrings touch on love

The love I feel for this sweet morn

At the coming of the dawn

And so I write this gentle ode

A product of my soft sweet mode

I try to write of something new

But this I cannot really do

Cause all that fills this heart of mine

This pinkish tinge, like rosy wine

As the sun comes out to play

And welcomes in a brand new day

So now I’ve wrote this morning poem

I hope it sets your heart to glowing.

Weeping Willow

Weeping Willow willow tree,
your graceful branches are all I see.
The dantyest of leaves swaying in the breeze,
the beauty of your fullness stands out from other trees.
As I sit under your bountiful shade,
greatful for your structure the lord has made.
The perfect little place for a mid summer's nap,
as I close my eyes and tip the brim of my hat.
Your home resides in a meadow of butterflies and bees,
like the heart of nature you hold the keys.
Birds use your branches to make nests for their little ones,
while squirrels use you for a playhouse, somewhere to run.
The afternoon sun kisses your leaves so sweet,
this is the place where lovers sometimes meet.
The scene and essence of your bark is pleasant to the eyes,
the very core of your beauty, this is where it lies.

Summers end

Cuckoos twitter,
Echoes flitter,
Into the luminous blue skies.
The incandescence of the sun chastise,
The billows of the powder blue skies.

The summer showers,
Christen the bed of flowers.
The summer cloudburst,
Quenches the earth's crust.
Oh What a festivity!
In a undersized day's captivity.

With autumn at the door,
The festivity is offshore,
Only the shrivelled leaves shall adore,
The dessicant earth's galore.

The undersized days shall swing door,
To the autumn's cold sore,
Oh! It shall be a long wait,
For the next summer's fete.

-Somnolent Sun-

-Somnolent Sun-

As the sun sets, into
a somber crimson sky,
radiant beauty shines down
on those who cannot fly.
Inspiration gleaming at this
moment caught in time,
creating a soothing memory,
instilled within my mind.

Filling the Earth with the
warmth of her heart,
while setting away,
committed to her part.
She slowly fades behind
the horizons of the bay,
with promises of return,
for another day.

Rising Sun

Rising Sun
Have you ever sat beside the sea, Watching the sun rise from the east Above the blue horizon? As our beautiful golden sun emerges, A welcoming blue sky smiles, The turquoise sea grins; And slowly wandering waves Begin to roll toward an expectant shore.
Life-giving warm sunshine, Lightens up our otherwise grey world, A world that’s always full of strife, A world that can't survive without sunlight. We walk, we trot, we run, Throughout life, And when all is said and done, The sun sets and says a sweet "good night."

Crescent

For the Moon ne'er shined as brightly as the Sun
That, alone, impulsed me to look up into its imperfect beauty
We were alone-- different-- but always surrounded
The Moon in her dark entity
While I in my airless field
There were many nights I spent with the Moon
Some were clear
Others were starless and cloudy
Nonetheless I loved that iridescent figure I could ne'er reach
I smiled upon her cratered beauty
And the eccentrics of her pale-gray heart
Though her Siren calls taunted my dreams
The Moon would be full
But it was all an illusion
For when I ran to her --open arms--
She became quarterly, and finally half
The Moon, I could ne'er hold as my own
So I, as Wind, blew elsewhere onto the Earth
Though she still smiles at me invitingly
I try to look away, for there is no atmosphere where she resides
But I must admit, the Moon and me --we dance occasionally
For, as Wind --I am ne'er seen
And as for the Moon?
She ne'er shined as brightly as the Sun

Hunger And Home For Trees

       Hunger And Home For Trees

Trees hungry for the sun turn towards the fire
Which catches them as they cannot run
And in turn, turns them black
Once they towered towards the sky in green
Fresh air took them there at night serene
Filed them erect like sticks
Squeezed them as they dreamed
Of being piled tooth picks
Ignited by the hungry fire
Trees breathed their last sparks of life
Expired on the spot
Wood that remains in damaged ash
Not fit for homes
Only letting the worms
Within live out their term

The Beautiful Weed

Nothing more than a simple weed
As far as the flowers go
A bashful beauty from a windblown seed
Who catches the early show

Its beauty shines before the sun comes up
Admired by the moon
It paints the earth with beautiful colors
But leaving way too soon

It lives its life while tethered together
Like a chaingang on a vine
But one by one it starts to bloom
Before the sun can shine

For a flower that's not a flower at all
But enchanting to me indeed
There's nothing like the morning glory
The world's most beautiful weed

I wake - it's dawn. I visualize Trafford Publishing 888-232-4444 and on-line
I see hues! everlasting beauty
Casting shadows in the beauteous sky
Bewildered , I proclaim wondering why?
Why does the sunrise in my eye?
Dawning on to me - breathtaking
A new born day - I speak, I say
Spoken words as I do wake
i express - I communicate
Building dreams throughout the day
I experience breath! the birds chirp
They sing! Love I view is in the air
And yes indeed - I show I care
Passing each step, each path I walk
Encouraging positive thoughts
I'm inspired - i worship God
I thank each moment of my life
That when I wake with the sun
I see the hues prominent
I again proclaim! I spread the word
Of God's creations, the wonders
I ponder, I appreciate, I'm gifted
Thus this my spirits are truly lifted.

Crisp winds

I wake to the crisp winter air

I feel the wind so cool in the night

My soul seems to want to take flight

I hear the lonely winds so cool in the clouds

the birds chirp a song to waken the others

two hungry shadows lurk in the breeze

So dark this morning in time

waiting for the sun to rise

I hear scampering around the tree's

Hoping to hear your voice

hoping to see your hand in my day

seeing the shadows keeps me longing for your embrace

The sun rises and the leaves seem crisp

ready for snow this morning

the clouds are grey and the wind seems to have

went away.

I close my eyes and see the sun

the sun shines deep in my soul

waiting for my master to take control.

The Sun

The sun shall shine after the rain.
Drying all tears, erasing the pain.
It shall heal all the wounds inside.
Show the way, the light it provides.

The sun allows all things to grow,
Providing light so beauty can show.
All you need do is look all around.
In every corner beauty is found.

It graces the horizon chasing away night.
Reducing the shadows while increasing sight.
It brings forth life to our entire world,
In its light the beauty is unfurled.

The sun brings warmth I feel in my soul.
When it shines down I feel quite whole.
It warms the ground, the sand under my feet.
It warms the waters making swimming a treat.

When it shines down, light it bestows
When it does set the colors explode.
I close my eyes and dream of the sun.
I draw from the strength, join in the fun.

The Sum

The sum is much greater than just its parts.
More than a thought it grows in your heart.
I look at all these pieces that make up me.
When they join together, beauty you see.

I look across a field and see many trees.
Upon a closer look, grass and a river I see.
They all present beauty when they are apart.
But put together, they are a painting in my heart.

I look up and see the grandness of the sky.
My imagination grows wings like birds fly.
There also is the sun along with the clouds
When put together the picture it allows.

It all seems to change as I head toward night.
The sun explodes in colors, the sun still shining bright.
Darkness soon approaches the stars and moon in sight.
It paints a picture of peace and everything is alright.

As we journey through night it shall start over again
The sun greets the horizon much like a good old friend.
The light shines downward, revealing each and every part.
When they join together, they are a painting in my heart.

THAT WHICH GRACE GRANTS (d. I hold you responsible for these flowery, non-
descript and vehemently sterile style of poetry!)

Two gathered stars became her eyes
The moon was her halo shown
She is the lady who can make roses rise
And her beauty and compassion should be universally known

The sun said to me that when it sets at eve
And to the sun it succumbs
For this lady the sun tepidly takes its leave
While the majestic beauty blesses all the berries and her chrysanthemums

Every leaf that falls to the ground she resurrects
Her tears of joy sustain every tree with thirst unquenched
It is a miracle all the wonder within me she affects
And relaxes people with their teeth well clenched

Her language can only, by seraphim be heard
It’s a long and lengthy language of love and lovely things
The lady can translate the tweet of any bird
And any song a songbird of spectrum sings

The universe bows to her majesty displayed
It is of innocent beauty to which the lady may lay claim
She can cause a blistering sun to become shadows and shade
And in case you are wondering Mother Nature is the loving lady’s name

An Ode to Birth and Death

Darkness ended, Winter released her icy grip; budding crystals soon began to drip.

The Earth then tendered, its surface filled with life; Spring now wed to Summer, the
radiant rays piercing the frozen skies.

But Beauty gives way to Destruction and forests turn to tinder.

Here lies the crossroads, an Ode to Birth and Death.

A flower that slowly bloomed left stranded now in late Spring, scorched by Summer’s rays,
but oh its beauty still remains.

It lives on desolate ground. A mind unfolded, it's heart retouched.

And at last outlasted a depression that once did rule. And you the fair Demise, how will
you compromise? When we together win the prize.

Flailing futilely in a sea of lies; the Fountain of Youth was found, its waters tainted.

Perhaps it’s best not to toy with Life and Death.

The Seasons unwillingly shifting, the Sun now in full bloom, and the flower starts to wilt;

Beautiful, as death begins to set, while Summer touched the Earth.

Petals fall away like tear drops on the skin, and light penetrates in a wonderful array.

Ever growing heat, now begins to drain them of life, while petals turned to dust, carried
away in gusts.

Together fertilized, yet unaware, it only dares to bring about despair.

Death gives back again to Life; an early end to a late start.

A new beginning comes from dust and decay, as the Summer sun now fades away.

The burning skies teaming with gray.

Death takes a new form; white, blinding, crushing and consuming.

Oh but gorgeous it remains, In time, life grows again,

Coming from the wastes of a flower that late bloomed.Yet life anew begins too soon.

In Winter’s last grasp, her touch did drain, when frozen ashes did remain;

Here is life’s penultimate breath, the greatest Ode to Birth and Death.

Fuming, bleeding,
running
The edge of the
world
Is red on fire
A golden sphere
Sinks beneath the
earth
Dragging the clouds
And the sky down
with it

Strip of purple
The sky fighting
Against the sun
Melting away
Beyond a twisting
canyon
Sunset

Faint Light

Deep within the night
I search for a light
Above my weary eyes, a star
Who's light lies not too far
Yet as I tread the globe
Darkness guards its trove
Only ever to see
Apart we will ever be

"Oh that I could touch
Oh to feel your heat
Though space and life apart
You called me off my feet
If light was always near
I would not know this shining tear
Had never been a break from day
Forever we would be away
As absence makes the heart grow fond
I will wait for light beyond
While I wish that you could stay
You are just a light on the way
I grasped for you within my tears
And for a time, gone were my fears
But any light apart from day
Will go at last and fall away
Yet still I grasp for light in dark
I cannot stand to be apart
Faint light to me as bright
My eyes did not adjust
A darkened sky, you heard my cry
I came to you with trust
You did not stay, you could not stay
You knew the sun must rise
I found heat in your heart beat
Kindness in your eyes"

Oh moon, you found me here
Upon my cheek a tear
I needed you the most
You seemed as a ghost
You set behind a cloud
My eyes from light was shroud
I could not see your face
So I sought another place
Now you come out
Oh how I did doubt
Even in the dead of night
A mirror of you exists
Through night and day you light
Yet in the filed of stars I have missed

"Oh starry starry cloak
Before my eyes as smoke
A beauty to behold
But in time grow cold"

Although you may light my ride
The sun will be my guide
A horse by day, a swan by eve
You've taught my heart to believe
Through light and dark you understand
But sparkling skies seemed so grand

"A diamond within space
I sought your pretty face
But where was I to go?
Where you go I cannot follow
Yet beauty still here lies
I seek you in the skies
But I must leave soon
The heavens awaken noon"

I Wake Each Morn

Coloring hues - beauteous Blues
Midnight hours - evening powers
It dawned upon me! PARDON ME SO
I woke to those radiant skies
And I wondered - what shall I do
Amazed by the colors in my imagery
I painted those pictures in the sky
Each stroke I took - I then implied
I may be hypnotized - I ponder
I see a cloud way out yonder
Those coloring hues - I still see the blues
Yes indeed - I cultivate the weed
True colors indeed - I might say
The blues overcame me in a sort of way
The midnight hour , I looked at the stars
I wished upon thee - predominant me
"Now I lay me down to sleep" I say
I am me - I have powers in my mind
The past coming up just what will I find
The calamity marked my soul I see
I believe the blues still overcame me
I wake to another day - I challenge
A new born day - I start - I seek revenge
those radiant colors in my mind - apparently
trust I see - the blues - true calamity
And the sunrise makes my day - true grit
The images, I am in awe ! believing it
This makes my day , I wake once more
I therefore have the ability to pursue
A beautiful day with the sun I knew
The each day it doth then break ,
I see the planted seed
And breathless I can imagine the beauty , yes indeed

Wonderland

Once again the sandman visited late last night,
I held my arms open wide greeting him.
As the dust settles on my eyes I slip,
I fall down a hole, slipping into a new world.
A world where everything is what it isn't,
And everything it shouldn't be, it is.
I sit all day in the sun listening,
As the flowers sing me a lullaby.
The rabbit races around the clock,
Making my new world spin.
Faster and faster soon I'm sipping tea,
With a hatter whose awefully mad.
Twinkle twinkle little bat,
Goes the sleepy mouse in the tea pot.
Look out silly mouse here comes a cat,
A smile is all that shows of Sir Chesire.
This world is so strange but beautiful,
It's absolute maddness around here.
But alas it's time to go back to reality,
So I disappear into the catapillers smoke.
As I open my eyes the sun greets me warmly,
Smiling as tho it knows my secret.
That I, Alice, have been to Wonderland.

True Love

I will not say I love you
For love dies a dark death
And the light I feel radiates from deep within myself
I cannot stay by your side
For your shadow overwhelms my soul
And the sun always sets
Leaving behind only darkness to chill the soul
Your life is too bright
For me to sit beside you
And send you off on that journey to eternity
I cannot watch your beauty be devoured by that cold light
For if I were to hold your hand until the end
The sting of release would plunge me into utter chaos
So let our romance live in memories
For death comes to everything

Death comes to everything
The sun gives way the dark night
As the shinning light is devoured by emptiness
The twinkling star
Which once granted youths simple wishes
Burns out before we even realize it’s gone
Each second dies
As it turns into minutes
And the minutes
Too soon turn into unremembered hours
The beautiful glow of fall
Fades into the chill of winter
And the peaceful spring
Succumbs to the blaze summer
Love becomes tarnished through the years
And beauty fades
Nothing lasts forever

just look to the sunrise in the east

She'll always be remembered for her golden hair
Youll never forget her grey green stare
But youll always forget her writing
Youll forget her words of fighting
Her poetry of crying
And her pleas of dieing
Youll forget her screams
But youll still see her in your dreams
Youll always remember the beauty but never the beast
Just look to the sunrise in the east
There you will find her rising with the sun in all her beauty
And all her fraility
You will see her there rising dead and alone
With her wrist forever sown
If you look to the east where the sun shall rise
You will find her clensed of all the lies
You will find her price
Her sacrafice
What it took to make her whole
And because of what you stole
This beauty will fade away
But not her wisdom
For in her book it shall forever lay

untitled

Starry, starry night, starlight bright
The stars I gaze at - I visualize this
An evening of mesmerized aura of bliss
I wish I may see the stars at eve
And wish the newborn day I believe
Would be the ultimate of pure joy
And shall then be up at the break of dawn
To see the sunrise - heavenly stars
Gazing at thee - predicts the sun
And shall I see hues gleaming on my face
The aura surrounding me I see
Those radiant colors of prominence
Thus the starry, starry night amazes me
I see in the stars the hues of the moon
I gaze - I visualize truly hence
And therefore this I still believe
Beauty is quite contrare, Indeed
I perceive!

Sunrise Fashion

the mellow blush of sunrise
seeps through the soft gray clouds
trees appear in their green hoods
love is in the air as doves flirt
birds go mad making throaty noises
as they dip over the clear lake water
echoing sweet sounds of fresh life
yellows, oranges, blues burst in full attire
as sunlight shines like diamonds
patches of flowering grass trim the forest
in a circle of colors
slumbering animals whisper
to the joy as the new day appears
in the radiant look that nature wears

Sun's Rise

When cometh the sun upon the mornings dew The birds will chirp in harmonious pure delight As it raises and casts shadow then on the earth We welcome the dawn so to let go of the night The birds will chirp in harmonious pure delight Serenading us as we share in a morning’s kiss We welcome the dawn so to let go of the night We recognize it well for its beauty and its bliss Serenading us as we share in a morning’s kiss We delight in the sounds that play for us two We recognize it well for its beauty and its bliss As we welcome each other as we so often do We delight in the sounds that play for us two While we take each other into a tight embrace As we welcome each other as we so often do I kiss you tenderly as I stare into your face While we take each other into a tight embrace The sun tilts its head, blushing from the view I kiss you tenderly as I stare into your face As the sun rises, I shall make love with you The sun tilts its head, blushing from the view As it raises and casts shadow then on the earth As the sun rises, I shall make love with you When cometh the sun upon the mornings dew

god's blessings

we think of the sky as god's masterpiece.
he made the sky and the sun.he made the clouds evolve
 around the world.
gave us so many blessings in our lives.
he painted us a picture,it was a master piece
it was a work of art.
he shown us beauty and the beauty of life and life its self.
 he shown us,amything is possible.
you think of those cloudy days,we wonder where the sunny
 sky is,we search and search.
we wonder if the sun will ever rotate back on our side of the earth.
everytime we the sky we think of the miracles our dear heavenly father
 gave us.
but no matter what the sun will always shine above from us.
giving us one miracle after another.
open up your heart to the light and feel the sun?and smile to the cloudly
 breeze.
and open up to god..and say thank the lord amen

Beautiful

How do I describe such beauty as yours?
For in comparison the words would pale
No definition has ever been found
For it's a beauty no poet could tell

The stars speak of your beauty in whispers
To hide their love from the envious moon
The sun rises early to see your smile
But to the stars, the sun rises too soon

The flowers even faint in your presence
And the wind constantly whispers your name
The birds sings songs of love in your honor
History will show your beauty in fame

I'll speak of your beauty with my last breath
'Til my lips are sealed as I meet my death

while the sun shines

WHILE THE SUN SHINES

To your smiles add a pinch
Of pleasure from the inside
Steer your eyes not to decide
On others wealth or social niche
Bloom like a flower before them
Just don’t invite nasty bugs
To rip you apart or to your beauty cause mayhem
Give them nothing more than pecks and Hugs
Wine and dine at their high tables
Remembering those who had none
And your priviledge to feed from their rich stables
Balance the equation and have fun
Enjoy their culture but cherish not
Their crazy tradition before it gets into your head
Put your background and pedigree infront
Of your steps, fear not your past but spread
The joy in the hardship you have endure
Honour your pride if they reject it
Admire your beauty if it is not adore
By those, whose hyprocracy disclose their deceit
Display your teeth while you laugh
Expose your agony in your cries
Pretend not or cut yourself into half
Happy or sad, be yourself before all eyes
Push on if fate becomes a stubborn obstacle
Which keeps you off balance and confuse
Expecting the sun to shine and a miracle
On the other side, make your worries diffuse
Tell the world that you are much stronger
Not afraid of life’s booby traps and mines
Show them that the muscle on your arm can last longer
Before nightfall, walk in the light, while the sun shine

Beauty

Hear the rock cry out to the ocean
Watch the ocean cry out to the moon
Sense the moon crying out to the sun
Feel the sun as it cries out to the lily~
Manifested beauty cries out from the earth
“Let our reflection be seen and our song be heard throughout the universe
As we manifest our beauty back to Creator”
What say you oh son of man?
Shall you keep silent in the shadows while all of creation manifests its beauty?
Where is the beauty given you?
Have you lost it, or just masked it with falsities?
Futilities that waste untapped potential in your beauty;
Awake oh daughter! Arise dear son!
Manifest your beauty and radiate your light given you
Before it is too late and regret sets in for the death of your soul~
Arise dear ones and manifest the beauty given you

The Garden Ceremony

Early evening,
the sun descended slowly
capturing the beauty of the surroundings.
Walking on,
the crowd gathered further down
for celebration of the love, the ceremony.
She was radiant,
compared to the flowers about,
she was a rose in a field of lilies and daphodils.
She smiled,
generating her own sunlight,
casting her beauty for the crowd to witness.
He waited.
With a joyful anticipation
He welcomed this beauty with a smile.

They turned,
together, facing each other
and facing the love of new tomorrows.
The sun descended,
but remained in the sky for them
casting new shadows of love on every tomorrow.

Dawn II

The formless spider, shaking
coins of mourning dew off her back,
                filtering anemic sunshine through her
latticed web, connected to an invisible string, drops suddenly—there she flies!
                swinging nimbly through hazy blue
       dawn, cutting the sky into
 shattered glass, unhinged from
                          gravity, as if she were wispy cirrus clouds;
kissed, burnt, caressed, edged around with pink—under here or there,
through blackness, through yawning azure or flickering orange, a rusty
candor of mythopoeia
(the shaking trees bled browning leaves that fluttered,
 here and there, slicing lifeless
clouds and stirring up stale time.)
What of the grass?
It billows carelessly beneath the rising
                          sun—and that?
Burning the edges of the dilapidating shack,
                 under vines, under rotting
             wisteria —a man, perhaps?
          Indeed!
      Back from the voyage!
Awaking from slumber, the doctor sips his tea.
(Her breasts, in the background, are bare,
                                          barely covered, the veil flapping,
here or there, covering and uncovering; she still sleeps on white clouds.)
Emancipating blackness, releasing
          it, the palms clammy,
             now violet, now pink,
now blue—and what of the mountains?
             Severing the bl ue!
             Wrapped in gold fire!
Distilling light, dusting off impurities, stirring
entropy like a galaxy, stars hidden under a
cloth (some are brave, free-wheeling, panting like a dog,
what of it—madness?)
—Dutifully the sun rises over the land like a god,
    omniscient,
             ever fleeting, her strokes impressionistic;
                        Pollocks of hazy atoms illuminated,
                uncovered, unsheathed, racing through
                                    oblique chaos,
here or there…the formless spider rises again,
through atoms, through the azure clouds, paint-brushed smears of violet,
loosening herself from space; the mourning ripples quietly,
here and there, and slowly returns to rest.
The formless spider returns to her web.

Rose of Thorns

Bound by love, your prisoner, distraught and lonely, I wait for you. My present
being, yearning for us, tortured, time stands still as our acquaintance subdue. At
the beach, nigh to the dunes, was our Eden, where you, my flower bloomed.

You were the pain, my last chance-dire. From my whole, you remained at our
wake, the caroling water of dreams. We're shoreline deep, and, in the sand, our
bodies remain. This is our sanctuary, or so it seems, until we bleed away.

In our youth, the sun smiled upon us, two innocents among the sinful tide. Your
smile, the true sunrise to my days, awoke me from a dream. Shy and timid, I
waited for you under the setting sun everyday. Holding hands, we confided in one
another, confessing our fears and pain. As the evenings gently caressed the
days from their stature, the moon lit our nights and the stars caught our eyes as
they fell towards each other.

The moon Shone like a precious fire on our wounds endless ires. And, to be
frank, I could not speak. From my lips to your cheek, seconds that were
moments, I was afraid. Like a child visiting the ocean for the first time, my touch
refrained. I steadily explored your currents pull. Its strength consumed my
tireless whims. Like a blade, smooth and clean, we sunk core-deep and fell into
each other until only one remained.

Precious memories, so long ago, fallen from Eden, I can’t let go. Into the sea, my
eyes gaze at what was once a boundless beauty to I, but now as gray as a
wounded soul, it beckons me towards a watery grave.

My head is a specter lost in a maze of lies looking for you. It gazes at paths once
walked in the light of innocence. Now, subdued, I float, sometimes in rage.
There's only one thing that remains true. Your beauty makes me want to lose my
virtues.

Waves of memories break in a hypnotic pattern; times of frolic betray their first
intentions, spiraling my heart downward. Words of infidelity stain the paper in my
hands, telling me to wait for one last dream, a nightmare. So as I read, I wait, like
I had done so many times before, for you, not a flower, but a rose of thorns.

In a mirror, much like a pool, my fingers scratch the surface and sink through. I
can touch our times and look back on them, but I can't explain why I can't fall in
love again, not with you. You whispered my name and turned away. Until the
end, we were friends, until the end, over and over again. Like a flower, I've wilted,
wilted in shame.

I Am Grateful

As the surf breaks with the morning sun giving light,
Reds and oranges against a sea of unending blue,
I am reminded of the beauty here in my life.
I am reminded of the beauty which is you.

I have sought many days to only arrive at this conclusion now
Thoughts coming to fruition as the new colorful sun ascends.
I recognize the cycle of life represented by each new day
And the many chances, with you, to make amends.

Oh, my love, I cannot compare you to this vision of loveliness.
For this even pales to the beauty, the forgiveness you share.
Thank you for allowing me hope again, opportunity
To witness your splendor, to know that you care.

God may have made scenery for all to appreciate and share
But you, never, will I again offer unto the rest, for their view.
I am grateful and sorry, my love, for all my misgivings
My every thought from now on, is always of you.

Wintertime and the Last Leaf

The last leaf
Gold with fire red tips
Falls to the ground
Blown by northerly winds
Carrying snow from a frozen
The leaf falls silently
Covered by a shroud of the purest white
The skies turn dark as if in mourning
The sun never again shines
The last vestige of beauty is gone
The world becomes grey and dreary
The tree
The mother of such beauty
Stands alone
Cold and frozen
Her branches droop as if she were crying
She waits throughout the deepest winter
Hoping to see her baby again
Eventually the sun returns
The air warms
The snow melts and flows away
The tree returns to life
Still looking for her lost child
But making room for the tiny bud
Another child comes into view
Growing spreading her wings
She becomes strong
And her shadow is cast upon the ground
Where her sibling once laid
Now there is nothing but grass
And the memory of a beautiful gold leaf
With fire red tips
And the beauty that it shared with so many

Turned 13

The aroma of herbal tea
Fills the room,
Bringing back all the memories;
All the joyful reminiscences,

I sit back, watching the sun rise…

Contemplating the emerging
Beauty of the orange sunlight,
I feel the reflection of it in my eyes,
At the moment, life’s beauty enraptured
Me,

Light gradually emerged
To turn a new page,
To conceal darkness with new ambitions,
To relive,

I sat there meditating every
Single detail,
As I waited and anticipated
These seconds that will change my life,

As I continued staring deeply,
The sun slowly began to rise,
Filling my eyes with tenderness…
I felt a smooth breeze refreshing my skin,

The sun rose and rose
Becoming half a circle,
It became like the smile of patience
Drawn on my face,

After long minutes of pleasure,
The sun finally came up,
Becoming a full circle in the azure sky;
Like a face that shimmered,

Smiling and smiling…Like I never smiled before,
I stared at the dark, gloomy sky as I heard my sister say,
“Happy 13th birthday Farah!”
She embraced me with excitement and love, as
I thanked her for being the first to say that to me…
“12:01am”
-----------------------------------------
As I woke up the next morning,
Out my window was the sun,
Reflecting its beauty on the earth,
I remembered yesterday…

“Thank you God…Thank you for making this day a page of light that will erase all
the other black pages.”

The Sun's Beauty

The sun has an unrecognizable haze, today,
surrounding its beauty and luminescent glow.
I am sure to have disturbed its beauty for all
By trying to reach it and therefore affecting it so.

Surrounding its beauty and luminescent glow
lies an unmistakable aura, a new protection.
If not for my attempt to try to reach the sun
Its rays would not have turned in a different direction.

I am sure to have disturbed its beauty for all
and yes they all can hold that against me.
I am truly sorry for the sunshine’s demise.
Selfish, I just could not let the sunshine be.

By trying to reach it and therefore affecting it so,
I have tarnished the beauty that lies deep within.
I just hope that the sun will one day forgive.
Moreover, let others appreciate her beauty again.

Your Light

Your beauty makes the sun jealous of you
The earth wants to keep you for her own
The light of the moon shines only over you
While the seas crest in your very direction

Your beauty makes the sun jealous of you
It feels pallid in your very presence
It cannot compete with the shine you emit
It is lacking and wanting your very essence

The light of the moon shines only over you
Casting a luminary spotlight on your being
It, too, wanes in comparison to your glow
It is from your light that everyone is seeing

While the seas crest in your very direction
The universe seems to revolve around you
Making you the center of everything good
Celebrating you, your light, the truth

Sun's Rise

When cometh the sun upon the mornings dew
The birds will chirp in harmonious pure delight
As it raises and cast shadow then on the earth
We welcome the dawn so to let go of the night

The birds will chirp in harmonious pure delight
Serenading us as we share in a morning’s kiss
We welcome the dawn so to let go of the night
We recognize it well for its beauty and its bliss

Serenading us as we share in a morning’s kiss
We delight in the sounds that play for us two
We recognize it well for its beauty and its bliss
As we welcome each other as we so often do

We delight in the sounds that play for us two
While we take each other into a tight embrace
As we welcome each other as we so often do
I kiss you tenderly as I stare into your face

While we take each other into a tight embrace
The sun tilts its head, blushing from the view
I kiss you tenderly as I stare into your face
As the sun rises, I shall make love with you

The sun tilts its head, blushing from the view
As it raises and cast shadow then on the earth
As the sun rises, I shall make love with you
When cometh the sun upon the mornings dew

Flutterby

I watched in amazement as he perched and preened on my flower,
his kaleidoscope wings glistening in the sun.

Crouching patiently, admiring the glory and beauty of the moment,
the sun warmed our very beings and made us one.

Several moments passed while we enjoyed each other's company,
the beauty of the morning,
the song in the air...

A soft breeze- airborne, and he started off!
I jumped to fallow and tripped... on...
...something... wha...?...

I looked up, and he was gone.
The flower was gone, too. Long dead,- soon after the sun had gone.
How long, I don't know. No telling.
No promise of return.

My eyes had been closed.
It was only a dream...

Tears silently fall to my pillow as I mourn what I never had.

Each Day Has a Sunset

Each day I wait for the sun to set
To see all of Gods beauty
I wish that everyone could see what I see each day
Most people see a day ending in beauty
I do not see colors of beauty
But instead colors of pain
I think of you and all you have missed
I see a life that ended all to soon
I hope that you were happy
Did you know how much I cared
Until you left I didn't myself
So young and full of life
It all seems a lie
So every time the sun rises
It seems all to soon
That I am sitting watching it set
The beauty of the setting
As the colors blend together
I realize soon my will be the same
Beauty just like life
Will soon grow dark and cold
But all the same, it will return
And life begins anew
So here I sit and watch the sun
Setting in the distance
I know each day begins and very soon will end
All in beauty
For each day has it's own sunset
