The Swan

The Swan

Near feathers in the wind.
I stare as she slowly drifts into the shadows of yesterday.
She is not me
She is not you!

A theme, like morning upon a crystal view.
She is of the wind
She is of the sun
She is the moon
She is the magic in your eyes.

Tonight she sits on the calm waters of your reflection.
Tonight she makes love to you.
Tonight she listens and counts the rhythm in your heartbeat.
She is a thief and steals every single breath from your body and soul...
And Still -
She is the night air
She is the tranquil sound
She is perfect
She is mighty in your eyes.

You are the oceans
In you, she swims with trust.
You hold on to the tides,
You keep her feathers dry and warm.
You stray her away from the sadness in a lost dance.
The aches under her wings belong to the shade in your heart.
That is why-
She is the grace
She is the smile
She is the fire
She is everything in your eyes.

Graceful feathers in the wind.
The dream of dreams
She might be me!
She might be you!
"Till Death Do We Part."

“The Swan”
-the symbol of everlasting love-

You're my lady, made for me

You're my lady, made for me!

-----------------------

I swear to you there could never ever be!

In this whole world, as far as I could see!

Someone else who could be my soul-mate!

Except you, most precious gift of my fate!

Before we even met, I had known you forever!

Since times began, we had been apart never!

From nothing, you changed me to everything!

My queen of hearts, just with you I am a king!

You are my world, you're the love of my life!

You are my sweetheart, O my prettiest wife!

Let me yet once more get down on my knee!

To say you are my lady, who is made for me!

A poem for YOU

In this world of Uncertainties I’m the man that you can trust And in my words of sincerity That my love would never last. And if you could only feel, what i feel for you You can ask me “why?” so you can see the truth Like our love that tightens the rope, Like a light that would give us hope. As you watch the dark skies Let me grab the moon for you, And as I catch the bright stars That’s the way you can see me through As this planet turns as it always will And things go wrong and you don’t know what to feel Hold my hand for it will make us strong Like a wind, we will carry on The wind blow that sings a hymn for you For they know what does love means for the two Love is blind, and not deaf So how’s success if you’re not ready to bet? In this poem with full of rhymes, A full of love, Babe can you be mine? I don’t expect too much from you Why should I? If you complete my whole. “Till death do us part” that’s what they have said But why do struggles crash them ahead? Don’t ask me when my love will last, To count all of our quarrels, is that a must? Now and Forever is all that I promise No day dreaming and without reminiscence As the matter of time, as the time passes by Together we stand, together you and I
A poem for my Girlfriend for our anniversary :) pls comment and rate... you are free to judge and criticize my work :) God Bless

I don't write about beauty very often

I don’t write about beauty very often
Maybe that’s because with one eye
I see a blurred pillow
And one corner of your mouth
Your hair resting on the side of your face
Your left eye closed
In sleep

I don’t write about beauty very often
Maybe that’s because with one hand
I can reach beneath the sheets
And touch your smooth skin
Run my hand along your side
Over your shoulder
Up to your face

I don’t write about beauty very often
Maybe that’s because with a word
I can call on you
And rouse you from slumber
To receive your sincerest regards
As I bid you farewell
Before an unwelcome day

I don’t write about beauty very often
Maybe that’s because it’s become so familiar
I live with you every day
And have grown to expect it
Maybe even treat it too casually
Should learn to appreciate it
And be thankful for it
As it’s you

VALENTINE TANGO IN HONEYMOON

                              Fly me to the moon
And let me play the stringed tunes,
                              The nod-nod head of a lover’s hoot
Let me dance among the stars
The tap-tap feet of a chivalrous heart...

When my gaze beheld you-my spouse
In our heart true passions doused
Draped like silk, a face with love soused
A new home in you I found.

I saw in you a beautiful wife
A flashy rectitude that brought new life,
That ravished me with sapphire eyes so fine
Fitted in your pearl socket, not of swine

You have triggered the jubilee of sunshine valentine
Now torch me with the kisses of your lip so bright
And swing me with the noontide delight I delight
Tangoing the tango of moonlight

I woo you with a honey tongue
Like silly doves we coo this carol song
In the sonority of your voice is compassion
Borne in a roomy heart for sacred fun.

… Fly us to the (honey) moon
                              Play us the bedroom tunes
                              In a solitary nook,
Let’s twirl this ballet as David in jolly mood
And wreathe in celestial honeymoon cocoon.

Prince Agba.

Dedicated to those who are facing diverse marital squalls in their homes, may God
mend your broken hearts and homes.

Secretly Obsessed

Obsessed with the thought of you
wondering if it's only me or
if you sometimes remember the sweet things you've said
and if you meant them how I took them
or if I'm just obsessed with what's in your head

Obsessed with your very sentences
Every response I take personal
I know it's selfishness
Have you not noticed my eyes?
They hold secrets that only you can unlock
if you'd just take time to fill the thick juices of my pride
It's just boiling with lust, passion, trust and distrust
and other things I obsess over so much

I find myself writing to free myself from this prison I've created
where only you and I reside
I become confused about what I'm really feeling inside and I
try to rid the thoughts that are highly debated as false and I
begin to cry and
think of casting love spells so that the universe can deliver this affair
I know it's unfair
but I don't care

I'm obsessed with what hasn't happened between us
I'm obsessed with your heart and that the fact that
I don't think you've even noticed my selfish innuendos
and secret undertones that blatantly express my lust
Or maybe you have and you calmly remain in resistance of distrust
If you could only read my mind by simply touching my fingertips,
I'm sure I'd catch you out the corner of my eye biting your bottom lip
I'm obsessed with the passion and thoughts I think you have
Obsessing over an experience that I may never have....

Groundswell Girl - Named by JB

Enter a storybook tale
Where I can be
The heroine you hail
Lucid dreams of soft reflection
A touch heated with lust and desired protection
A breathe a gasp as we succeed
Join the fairytale with me
Valiant night within dark eyes
the right movement and I make them shine
like moonlight on the steamy hot spring
care to follow for a little dip with me
Trailing like the water at my fingertips
Grasp me around my hips
As close as the breeze on my skin
Whisper lies as I let you in
Lips mumbling up my thighs
bare heart exposed to the sky
fire burning in my veins
Am I a mistress of this lust or simply a slave
Trembling with desire
Take me till we've lost count of the hours
enter this storybook tale
Where I can be the heroine you hail

Romantic

I try to be romantic and look into her eyes
She always seems embarrassed from my gaze she shy’s
I tell her she is beautiful her figure is so good
That she always looks and dresses just like a lady should

I’d like to get across to her how beautiful is her look
Somehow she is not happy for her self esteem they took
The only thing I want is her to be happy as she’s made
Not to look in mirrors or let the scales leave her dismayed

For on my arm she’s beautiful I feel so full of pride
Cannot wait to see her when she walks out as my bride
I know I will feel special for her love is what I need
To know that she’ll be with me brings me happiness indeed

So my beautiful lady look and see what I can see
Forget about the past build your future around me
I will long to hold you and love you till I die
So let me be romantic just love it don’t be shy

You really do deserve to feel so good about yourself
Any man who had an ounce of sense would have took you from the shelf
Yes you are oh so beautiful from your head down to your little toe
Just listen to romantic talk from the only one who seems to know

THE FIRST DAY WE MET

I bless the day she came my way. Her quirky hat a strange display
meant not to impress me.

But her shadowed smile softened and I was smitten.
My face turned the flush of a rainbow red and what was written
revealed my growing infatuation.

Something about this lady, giving, loving, wanting, haunting
showing no pretension.

Her playful wit coming from her heart would set this woman quite apart
from all others.

What gifts were about to unfold of female attributes that made me bold
and I kissed her behind her ear.

In later days, as she has told, she thought that I was uncontrolled
but it still felt grand.

Her blue eyes seduced me and her hills and slopes added to my salient hopes
that somehow she would be mine.

So thank you God I cannot hide the glow within that is my pride
that this adored sweet precious woman , has become my wife.

And now we're in our eighth year, so let me make this really clear
I 'm still very much in love with her.

The Lonesome Dress

I know I am a man
and I fnacy young women here and there,
but I have a big heart,
and I care for wasted things.

Today I had seen a lonesome dress,
hanging on a green wire,
asserted by two clothes pines.
I sat there for an hour looking, and studying this dress.
This lonesome dress, took my heart and demolished it.

Who owned this beautiful dress?
Who wore this glouruous piece of fabric?
Who would leave this dress hanging by two clothes pines?
Did they foget about it?
Unlikely for it was too beautiful to leave behind.
Or did they just not want it anymore?
Unlikely also, for it was too beautiful to give up.

A beautiful silk it was made of,
with a pattern of cream and black colors mixing.
A flower pattern littered the dress with a pattern of delicious delight.
A beautiful dress it was.
It was so beautiful, that I was sadden it did not have a home.

I took the dress and asked around.
No one knew of the dress.
I felt sad that this dress did not have an owner.
Did not have a beautiful woman to go along with.
I soon thought about my wife.

It was our anniversary and I had no money to buy a present.
For I had asked every single soul out there,
No one came to collect it.
I offered too take it and give the lonesome dress an owner.
I wrapped it up in a white box, and tied a pretty, red bow to it.

On our anniversary I gave the dress to my wife.
She opened it and fell in love.
We kissed and made love that night.
In my mind, I thought no more of the lonesome dress,
For now it had a home.
