High Bred Reality

     Soul progress
     back field in motion
The guff
Chose, chose, live grow leave! GO!

Leapt from heaven's gold
Jump started into a human mold

White clapboard poverty with tiger lily blooms,
blueberry rake poverty woolen looms.

Riffs of Emerson, Whitman, Longfellow dawns,
mothers’ hazel eyes, father Davidesque form,
chosen to drive twixt a Jew and a screw.
          Magnet of lunacy...
Tumbled like an agate into the stream of life
part of the dream lesson
scream lesson

Abuser of power, one who had once roared,
Eve shaped now, weak and mewling
                 between the weeds of woe.
Care taken by lovers torn.
          Watched over by pedophile uncles.
Befriended by lewd Father of sons.
Adult child, searching amongst the Word
for the Word is God and GOD …
       There are so many words

Root ripped scenes from beauty to horror
Shiksa* taunts seep in with the smell of borsch.
A pumpkinseed amongst the pricks of Brooklyn
A wild rose planted in the asphalt soil
     Doo-wop ditty
Jew’s bop to a Dago harmony,
bagels, bialys and the French twisted strands
of great grandma’s hair.
Clipped, stripped of family shoved whole
into yet another new mold.
True believers, ah yes, fanatics all.
The struggle to survive whole healthy
dipped in, dripped in, a bath of acid and thorazine.
Polish priests pedal platitudes to the sisters of St. Joseph
behind the gilded glory of the Church.

Raped by trust and betrayed by lovers,
a rose married to a prickles thorn,
so empathy is gained, and a healer born.
Metal must be formed in a crucible of fire
A healer can not be born without tasting the pyre.

A Land Bearing Green White Green

Which way leads to the
land of green white
green?
Which way are we
heading?
   A country the wicked
bears the rulership, and
the people sighing
continuously.
   A terrible thing sprouts
beneath the sun: a
pregnant woman
delivering not.
Imps come to lime-light
by snuffing air from the
goose that laid the
golden eggs.
The blind guiding the un
blind.
The weak suppressing
the strong-a terrible
thing.
Like the overthrow of the
gods at Mt. Olympus by
the Titans.
A country where also
thieves appear as men of
integrity.
Land of green white
green,which way?
A land where the
enlightened ones are
overshadowed and
peanuts given to them.
The masses are dogs that
eat the crumbs.
 Which way to go you
Land?
Iliterates stand on
podium of power
bellowing orders as milk
of sorrow known as
dividends of democracy
is passed around.
The machine of progress
manned by the
unproductive.
"There is better
tomorrow" we hear.
Land of green white
green,my country
where rule of law walk
beside anarchy.
The proles are sentenced
to adversity,and there
endured death-like trials.
Chai! Aru! People
dancing on thorns
whimpering as they
throng
along.
I see a new sun rising
from the horizon,hope is
rekindled as its rays
grace on hopeless bodies.
 Look!! there soon be
change!

Righteous and Just

Righteous and just shall inherit the earth
The lord does chastise me so I see Him
Placed me in poverty pray I do right

Sinned throughout my life now I must think twice
Each and every hour this debt I owe
Righteous and just shall inherit the earth

Turn their backs they have people that I know
Failing in belief cause my will I give thee
Placed me in poverty pray I do right

A different path to walk to you I go
My destination is known you I fear
Righteous and just shall inherit the earth

Your punishment severe pain I endure
Forgiveness be time in you faith I trust
Placed me in poverty pray I do right

No longer without sight you freed my mind
The sanctuary I seek found in you
Righteous and just shall inherit the earth
Placed me in poverty pray I do right

Physically and Mentally Abuse

I was born in a world of poverty and soiled life of a third world country
The way I lived till I was five years of age was walls of boundary
These walls had towers of guards that had no heart or care
If a child would try to climb the wall they lose their life I swear

Father had drank and threatened my mother with a knife
My father lost his job and wife and that was the hardship of life
He stopped my mother from taking off with me in her arm
Hoping that my father would ignore and left me be with no harm

When my father went off to drink one night and came home with rage
My brothers stood by my crib and took a beating that set up the next stage
My father had woken up to three scared children half starved and in pain
His final words as he walk away from the orphanage gate live life do not go insane

I was still a baby in the orphanage; the caretakers did not really care about the babies
They stole items and materials those wicked men and maternal evil ladies
They starved all the babies because it cost a lot to keep them alive
As a child of that age I could feel the sins and greed that gave out bad vibes

I was ignorant about what I drank and ate, as I see white maggots move in my bottle
As I see them move I thought about how they were playing and some were hostel
They ate each other to keep each other alive in a manner that took me by surprise
In the back round I hear others throwing things with sounds of painful cries

I got very strong at a young age I was able to start pulling myself up over the cage
My feelings were to see my brothers with strong lungs that I cried out of rage
My two brothers came to see me and sneak food into my crib
The caretaker would find the food in my hands as they grabbed it and hit me on my ribs

As painful as it was I kept eating the food with blood in my mouth as it was instinct
I sometimes laid in my crib dazed and confused with smell of death so distinct
With all my might I kept myself strong and climb the small wall
I finally was old enough to get out of the building and I could hear my brothers call

With tears of joy with short legs that ran as fast as my heart
I ran to my brothers arms and held their hands to have a new start
I grew stronger everyday but more things came into my life in a manner of dismay
If my brothers stay by my side I could smile and everyday their would be okay

An Ode to LIFE Part 1

An Ode To LIFE

As I lay my head down and start to fall asleep I see myself being carried off to a place and time the place of our Lords birth in Bethlehem of Judea

As in the Bible tells the story of His life and how he lived and died in that human seance and rose on the day He told of

I do not remember being here but I remember the story I was taught so many years ago

As I walk through the streets of Bethlehem I see each scene and hear every word as I am learning the story they telling is true

The writer writes of a jealous King and his way of dealing with his people and of Mary and Joseph who came to Bethlehem to have a child

The story tells of the three wise men who saw a star in the north and heard of a child who was born to be the King of the Jews and come to see and bring Him gifts

An angel from the Heavens above came to Mary and Joseph in a dream and told them they had to leave Bethlehem or King Herod would have their son killed

So they left Bethlehem and went to Egypt and there they lived until King Herod no longer ruled

As I follow along in my dream I see each scene and hear every word as I am puzzled by the fact I understand each

I don’t understand why I’m going through this time but I know I must continue on this journey

As I am pulling through a time where I reach the place of Jesus’ in Nazareth of Galilee

As I watched Him grow and work in His father's shop I could see the thing in Him that were with me

As I walk along the streets and look around I hear the people talk of a child that speaks of wondrous love that’s all forgiving and of a Father in Heaven that’s loving and true.

My Notebook

Stimulating ideas pop into your head
You need a pen…you need a piece of lined paper
It looks like you’re outtah luck…no wonder you’re drowning in dread
You need a shoulder to lie your head down for a moment’s rest…
You need a helper…to aid you while you struggle emotionally…
I’m not trying to irritate you purposely

Try with all your might…try your best
To stay optimistic and fervent
I believe that you’ll pass the test
Be upbeat, kindhearted and jubilant

I appreciate the words you wrote on my notebook…
Sometimes, I feel like leftovers left on the counter…
I’m a rotten mess – you’re leaving me as if I’m an uninteresting book
Sometimes, I feel like a coward – I don’t mean to bother…

But, you’re like no other . . .

You’re like a mat – you’re constantly stepped on…
I’m like YOUR unwanted tool –
I stepped on you and
Pushed your buttons
I accused you of being the fool
When, in fact, I’m the fool by your side…
You’re drifting…pushing me aside…

I’m writing words of truth though –
Expressing how much I’m fond of you

I esteem your presence
Glowing with glee
At times, you do say things without thinking
I’m the god of distress –
You’re leaving me breathless
Cutting me down like I’m some decaying tree
You don’t see how much you make me…
Guilty for your crimes
Taking the blame about the hundredth time

At times, I feel that I’m awkward when I’m around you

You’re like a backpack – you carry everyone’s weight…
You’re like a sponge – soaking in our stress
I’m a distraction to you – you’re wasting valuable time…but don’t hesitate
I’m writing words of self-centered feelings – logic doesn’t exist…
But these feelings aren’t as bad as committing a crime
These feelings come and go – I just had to confess
I didn’t mean to screw up your progress…

Hey, if you need a few sheets of paper to right on,
Use me like a notebook instead…and write with all your might
It seems as if you read me…like a book that drags on and on
Use me as your tool of relaxation… and read me all night

When you wrote those words on my notebook…
It made my day…you’re such a delight
Like reading a fascinating, classic book

Jesus My Life Is One HUGE Embarrassment

For many years... My life has been an embarrassment! Filled with hopelessness and discouragement! Many things I thought I had enjoyed... Have left in me... A large and empty void! Many nights, I would cry myself to sleep. Knowing the hole my life was in, was very, very deep. Then one day, I called out to God! I wasn’t sure if he’d listen! My family, my old church, I was now missin'. My family prayed for me for so many years. I often brought them embarrassment and tears. God... I tried everything else... I want to come back to you! I need you now Jesus! I really do! Please come into my heart, and cleanse me within! Set me free from all addictions and sin! I know that you will never let go of my hand. My whole life, on your word, I shall now stand. Only you can satisfy the emptiness in my soul! I am now complete, satisfied, and made whole! By Jim Pemberton

The Poverty of This World

The Poverty of This World “15 The wealth of the rich is their fortified city, but poverty is the ruin of the poor. 16 The wages of the righteous is life, but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death.” Prov 10:15-16 NIV The Poverty of This World Is due to a lack of love. Man’s disinterest in his fellow man Is watched by God above. If each heart was touched by compassion, What a different world we would see; There’d be much less selfishness; Clean water available as a necessity. We have so much to be grateful for— God has provided it all. Let’s pray we can make a difference To the poor whose voices silently call. They need food and shelter And should never be denied. Because of billions hoarded, The accumulation of wealth should be decried. Let’s pray for hearts to be softened, And the needs of others to be met. Needs must be provided for Before salvation can be set. Even those who have no money, Can pray for the needs instead. God will make provision; He did from five fishes and two loaves of bread. The Poverty of This World Should make us all ashamed, That we do not do more for others; Only we ourselves can be blamed. One person can make a difference; One heart is better than none. One heart that’s open to Jesus— Claims the needs of poverty to be won. © Copyright 2012 Maureen LeFanue www.maureenlefanue.com

SILENCE BESTILLS THE NIGHT

written 20th may 2013

As the world shuts down
lavish ladies put on their gown

Rest comes, as they comb their hair
while others, fight the midnight air

All living lives, they had exactly detailed
not a thought goes out, to those who failed

Homeless man...where was his fall?
can any of you see or care, that no one heard his call

One moment...one tiny second, it's lost
the next one to fall....could be anyone's cost

Be wise, and look to the skies
for he is the one, you need to recognise!

To beloved father

Thou persevere
Despite the drowning sorrows
Despite—the drowning sorrows
Dear, fate, severe
On you a special oddness
Thou! Perservere
True meaning dear
To you unwavering values
And facing all adversities without Doubt
Despite the drowning sorrows?
Thou – persevere
Despite …the drowning…sorrows
Despite! The drowning sorrows!

ABODES

There isn’t a place I haven’t abode
a river mansion or a tree by the road
in a multitude of places not our home
from commune havens to being alone

Was cold and hungry and lived on the street
with two small children and nothing to eat
I asked you to care and you threw us away
erased all my words despised what I say

We’ve slept in the fields and a bus stop bench
none who cared to help when in a pinch
I’ve seen men at their worst and their best
the crazy ones who took us in as their guest

Lived in house that had no doors
got one now by the oceans shores
I have lived with plenty and without a dime
the people I remember gave us their time

The sectarian churches have I attended
but so few hearts their revivals amended
no sect can save you when you stand before God
if you haven’t learned love your thoughts still flawed

I’ve been coast to coast livin’ on the street
the stories I can tell bout the people we meet
the cars that stopped with sacks for a meal
so the children had milk and oranges to peel

I’ve been close to heaven definitely hell
felt the sleep of death for preference dwell
the most important lesson I ever learned
it is by the forge my wisdom earned

I’ve read the Bible so many times
stories of love and hate for hearts reminds
what a man would do to acquire affection
cave to opinions to avoid rejection

I know I will always consider you
knowing I don’t know what you’ve been through
you can rest assured I’m here to learn
my choices are the only ones I can turn

I could wax eloquent on prophecy
but like Paul don’t matter if loves not in me
to every kind of learning sold my soul
but if you don’t count my hearts not whole

So much in life we have to consider
experiences that can help or hinder
the so called guidance that many teach
a whole new Talmud do they preach

Funny thing in the Word of God
they were royalty or in sandals shod
one can never judge by their appearance
by their outside to truths adherence

I read every mythology by grade seven
all their thoughts bout hell and heaven
the Bible teaches that death is sleep
till the resurrections judgments keep

If you don’t examine all things taught
you won’t know the lies that live in thought
if you think you already know all truth
and that learning is only sought in youth

When you’ve unraveled the knowledge of the universe
and fully apprehend and can death reverse
when you are perfect and my attention demand
and like my Lord extend understand

I’ll always give a care bout who you are
but if Loves not your teacher you’re not my STAR
if you don’t seek love for earths family
what possible connection could you find in me

A man I call ''HUSBAND''

a man
a lost soul
deep within, beyond the flesh
demons casting wicked army's of thoughts
voices crowding corners of your mind
a soul in war, evil over powering what once was pure at birth

you abduct the innocence from the kindness of others, without an ounce of guilt
you give with the anticipation of want

you look upon other in poverty as a bur don to life
you hold your blood driven riches as a symbol of victory

i turn to you, flesh to flesh and say....
with all your riches, you sweet words of a predator in hunger

I dint hold my self above you nor do I cast myself to your feet

I am one of poverty in flesh
to gain riches in the path of you....
i say....
do not drop pebbles to path the way

for i, am on a journey where even the pebbles are the purest of gold.
i have a long journey ahead of me,
bumping roads may stumble me along the way....
but the outcome will be glorified

I hold no animosity for all evil ways
even poison-est snakes shed many layers of there skins
