Pleasures of Moving on Moon

Pleasures of Moving on Moon

You have always charmed us by your beauty, O Moon,
Sometimes fascinating Heer and Ranjha*, and sometimes,
Mesmerizing Romeo and Juliet.

Sometimes you have spread your charms, on the monuments of Love,
Alluring the beauty of Taj*, in the full moon light of Purnamasi*
O, Moon how many faces of Love and Beauty you have,
When you stroll silently on a snow covered maintain,
The beauty and your grandeur becomes envy for the heaven.

For Poets and Writers you have immense stories and inspirations,
For Lovers you are more precious than gold and diamond,
For singers you are like the soul of their songs,
For Boatman’s, you are their sole companion of their silence and turbulence.

While watching you so intensely from earth,
I felt, as if I was wondering on the silver surface of you O, Moon,
Moving and feeling, no gush of wind,
No moisture of Rains and dryness of Sun,
No falling of leaves, in the season of Autumn,
No bending of rivers, flowing from mountains to oceans
No murmuring of birds while mating and chatting,
No change of seasons to engage my mind and heart,
Still I was fascinating to move on the silver surface of you, O Moon.

Walking on your surface was a strange experience for me O, dear Moon,
As I was trying to feel the unique pleasures of earth,
While moving on your silvr surface, O Moon.

Just a Girl

Just a girl in a room, sitting on the floor,
I can see her in this window, but I see no door
Crying her song of anguish, of this unspeakable pain,
Has every intention never to feel it again
I rock, I tremble, my life is at cost
All I know is this shell, for it's myself...my core...my all I have lost

From the start I new this fight could only last so long,
I aimed to defeat it, striving to remain strong
Each day in and day out, facing the demon, fighting the doubt
At a moment with no warning, without any clue
I was losing my strength...my energy...all the will I once knew

For now, my all is lost, my memories are faint,
There is no pretty picture left for me to paint
This girl on the floor, in this empty room
Was this girl condemned for a life of doom

My tears disappeared, like they'd never been there
Dried up with my soul, the time is clear
Wanting to shake her, make her open her eyes
To show some hope, the blue is still in the skies

Then, out of nowhere, I found the door
I wanted to save the girl on the floor
As I neared and inched to her close
She wasn't that girl, what I saw was a ghost

As I turned to walk out, stopped by a noise
I heard the laughter of girls and of boys
With that came a voice of peace and of grace
She told me, she's happy, no-more demon for her to face

I am calmed, I'm reassured, I'm no longer in pain
She was the broken me, but now I am strong again

A Heart Song

A heart hath no boundaries,
It sees no fault, it does not fear.
It walks a narrow path alone,
Meeting sorrows along the way.
A path full of strife,
Yet it tarries along the path,
Till it reaches the place
Of absolute eternity.

Instauration

“Abandon ship and from her flee
Better her than all be lost to sea.”
“First Mate, be rendered silent,” is the captain’s plea
“Dear crew, I beg, depart not, stay along with me.”

But Admiral calls from ships numbered three.
“Leave Elpida alone, and Captain, for drowning.”
Then company vanished, quick as a wink.
Left small, untested sailboat to sink.

Night reached down on vast ocean’s face,
And soon sea’s swells were by darkness embraced
Light blazed cross the sky, wind roared from the heat.
The blue’s anger and rage against terrified vessel did beat.

More and most fiercely Elpida battled the deep.
Up ‘til the moment Earth sunk in her teeth.
The storm screamed on, endless as the heavens are deep.
And for half a score years, the sun, from Captain's eyes, night did keep.

For two times for every five, did the captain despair
Lost upon foreign soil, abandon by fleet out there.
To stumble upon natives, fate had it be.
An amiable bunch, again the odd number three.

To restore broken vessel labored the four
Sew up the hull, repair ruptured floors.
And for time, two times, and three times more
Toiled this group ’til there was work no more.

And the sun, as, of course, it would be
Broke the horizon and bore new day on the sea.
Set the deserted again to conquer the deep.
No armada to accompany, but lone Captain, no fleet.

And now, even now, sails Elpida Berregin.
Meeting new worlds by way of the sea.
In all her travels she met again her former fleet,
But Captain did not the Admiral re-meet.

For they had become galleys of ghosts;
Galleys to whom the dead were tending.
Offering up a prayer, Captain took his leave,
And having left, returned to journeying.

“Abandon ship and from her flee.”
Perhaps they, but never me.
Elpida Berregin, mighty galleon proved by sea,
A crew member, forever yours, will I be,
And will serve your Captain most faithfully.

Ode for Chris

You will never fade from my heart, dear friend
Though my words to you are now heaven sent
For eighteen years you brought joy to my life
And so many times you erased my strife

When the world outside seemed so harsh and mean
You wiped my slate clean, changed the scene
Showed me that love could exist without pain
Or sexual desires, personal gain

Together we clung as a sweet friend died
You offered love as she suffered and cried
The peace you added to her life I shared
Because I had someone who truly cared

Just wanted to make things right for others
You were my soul mate, my spiritual brother
You came to me when you learned you’d soon die
I held you so close; in my arms you cried

But it wasn’t for yourself these tears were shed
You worried for me, hanging by a thread
I watched you pass from this world to the next
In your last hours you said you felt blessed

Your faith was so strong that you had no fear
Your belief in eternal life was clear
I look to the skies now, call out your name
And in my life you will always remain

A beacon of hope that still casts its light
Your presence surrounds me, its force so bright
I’m so grateful you saw something in me
That made you my friend for eternity

If I had to paint a picture of me loving God what would I see

If I had to paint a picture of me loving God what would I see?
would I see a portrait of a person who walks in truth and honesty?

In order to paint a picture of me loving God
I would have to access all the experiences that to me life did impart
did I have a good relationship with my mom and my dad?
was it loving and supportive or distant and sad?
did I get along with my siblings? did we look out for each other?
did we play and love each other like true sisters and brothers?
were my needs being meet? did I ever learn to trust and believe?
am I balanced enough to cope according to the lessons in life I've received?

Multi-generational, familial or systemic social receptions
all of this has played a part in my life perceptions
we all have distortions in every aspect of our living
we now must deal with the reality at this time we've been given

was my life exactly as I remember? or are there things that I've repressed?
are there issues that are buried inside me that now make me depressed?
deep-seated anxiety, personal pain and high expectations
feelings of inadequacy, destructive criticism and bouts of frustration
we all have issues that we now need to bring out and discuss
in order to have authentic relationships we need to have real trust
we all have some brokenness that needs to be healed
so that our full love for the Lord God can one day be revealed

God is not distant like a CEO in the corporate tower
God is not pressuring us with His omnipotent power
God does not keep score He just watches over our souls
God is fair and just and doesn't set for us high goals
God is all embracing He nurtures, instructs and forgives
He's kind, patient and loving in this life to us He did give

So if I had to paint a picture of what it looks like for me to love God
it would be a colorful canvas of emotions, perceptions and reflections from my heart

To Believe or Not To Believe: The Power of Unbelief

your belief system is the major indication
of what you can accomplish with positive validation
if you can see it, you can achieve
if you can perceive it, you can believe it

underachievers are always underestimating themselves
non-achievers are always looking for a handout and the most help
average achievers do only what is usually just required
but overachievers strive to realize their heart's desire

in The Bible Mark 6:5-6 are two of the saddest scriptures to me
it tells of the time when Jesus went to His birth place
to spread His Father's ministry
it is somewhat troubling to me when He could find there no relief
because the Nazarenes were in a mind set of utter unbelief
even though He had worked many miracles
in most every town he had ventured to
the citizens of Nazareth were unwilling to give Him His proper due
a showdown in Nazareth, Jesus trying to evangelize God's word
but they saw Him only as the carpenter's son attempting to do the absurd

the power of God can only manifest in an arena of positivity
it can not gown nor gravitate in an atmosphere of negativity
Jesus was rendered powerless, the passion in Him had subsided
because the unbelieving Nazarenes remained unyielding
and completely one-sided

there is a significant amount of unbelief
in many church congregations
where some are just sayers of the Word
and don't believe in the power of the consecration
it takes one drop of negativity
to yield a whole crop of unbelieveability
understand that the Living God can't work in anyone's life
if they are in a state of mind clouded by negativity and strife
there is nothing that can't be accomplished if you know this in your heart
that God can work miracles just believe in His powers from the start
for God can move mountains, He can make a river divide
His powers are omnipotent, just keep a positive attitude in mind

don't undermine God's purpose for you life, allow Him some control
don't underestimate what He can do for you, if you surrender to Him your soul
always look for the victory, don't settle for defeat or loss
use the power of your belief, the power of the blood, the crown and the cross

if you believe God can open doors
what more could you ask for
just believe with God that you can do it
just trust in Him and let Him prove it
just believe in the power that is Jesus Christ
and imagine what you can accomplish
if you just let Him work in your life

I am Woman, Fear Me!

Pretty, lovely,
Beautiful, Stunning
I am woman,
Fear me!

Sassy, saucy,
Feisty, spunky
I am Woman,
Fear me!

Smart, intelligent,
Bright, clever
I am Woman,
Fear me!

Independent, free,
Autonomous, Self-sufficient
I am Woman,
Fear me!

Fear me because I am:
Pretty, sassy, smart, independent!
Fear me because these things
Are a danger mix and explosive combination

Fear me because one day
You'll have to answer to me.
Fear me because soon you'll look up
For advice and I'll be the face there.

Fear me because to you
Women should have no power.
Fear me because to me
I will have more power than you.

I am a woman,
Fear me!
Fear me!
I am a Woman!

The Unknown Poet n' the Lover with an Immortal Heart (Part 5 Final)

This new born day I celebrate your souls release from guilt n’ captivity since that day you
felt a carnal touch of sin within as your hands played poetically upon the curves of your dead
lover’s silken skin…
I know now you made your way to the top of the rocks to plant a tree to guard this sacred
place where I fell from thee n’ you repeated the poetic chant of love’s abandoning to follow
me into our karmic destiny…

On that fateful day your soul bled away at the top of this crest by a solitary juvenile tree,
your body of words fell to the rocks at the base of this cliff, embroidered into the blood of
me…
The one who would hold a feather to her face on this crest by the sea n’ remember finally
the days gone by of you n’ me, our deaths from love’s abandoning when you my love were
lost to this world n’ me for ten centuries…

I now await destiny as we will love forever more with immortal hearts…

' The Face Of Love '

Will I Recognize… The Face Of Love?
Or the Wonderful, Bedazzled Appearance of:
A Moon-kist Meadow, Hushed and Dark
A Solitary Silhouette, this Beauty Mark,
Windswept Grasses, like a Babe’s Soft Lashes
Rippling across Earth, that’s smooth as a Cheek.
In the Hushed and Flowery Scented Air…
Your Face of Love Materializes, Silvery, Full
The Face of Love … is Unforgettable.

From the Face of Love … Will I Withdraw?
The Face of Love without Any Flaw;
As a Canopy of Clouds with the Splendor of Sunbeams
Piercing past the fluffy powder of Heaven, to Radiate Gleams
A Classical Cameo-Sculpture, Perfect Profile Structure
Yea… in the Bright Beacons, I see Your Smile
In the Illumed, Clear Sky, ‘Your Face’
Can Love’s Face be Touched … Attainable?
The Face of Love … is Unforgettable.

The Face of Love … I Have Visualized,
Potent, Breathtaking, The Vision Rised;
From a Sunlit Lake, Winking as Would Diamonds.
Your Face of Love, Emerging from Far Beyond
The Depths of the Lake, as My Heart Quaked,
because of the Wavering Portrait’s Peace
because of Water-Color Caresses.
That Face of Love, was so Tangible.
The Face of Love … so Unforgettable

The Face of Love … has Gazed Upon
Dreams of Mine, the World’s Not Known
… Out of the Woodland’s Emerald Mist
With Drops of Dew, Love’s Face Kissed
The Framing Boughs; My Relaxed Brow.
Floating… Breathing out the Mist of Morn Light
That I may Sketch Your Face of Love, in Life.
The Face … More Handsome, than Sons of the Womb, is Possible…
The Face of Love … is Unforgettable

Life and I

For life, were we made
To live, were we given

In life, we learn to live
Yet in life's pursuits, life is spent

In search of ways to live life,
we there haste

Yet in haste, life do we waste
As haste makes waste,
alas, wasted life abound

In haste, has life passed by,
for life is in a haste,
it waits not

In life, we fail to behold,
the essential offerings of life,
scripted on the canvass of the soul,
revealed in the daylight and silent echoes thereof;
beseeching faces and eyes all around,
beckoning for life's essence;
the warm and caring humanness,
the soothing acts of goodwill

For them, life cares not,
for them, must I care
For in caring, would I have loved,
my neighbor and my God
Only then, would I have lived,
only then, have I life

Ode to Tai-Ana at Age Ten and Far Away

			1

Oh, gentle child, how doth my heart still burn
thine absence half a decade spent in vain
to break the bonds that tie, that fett’ring chain
that holds me from embracing thee, thyself in turn.

Thine all enchanting smile, piercing eyes–
thy flailing arms, the limbs, with rhythmic stroke –
responses soundless to the silent words I spoke
to thee before from thee Fate forced me from thy cries.

I watched thee grow through temp’rate times of yore –
remembering the gall’ry of my mind.

‘Twas all I had.

			2

Oh, gentle child, how doth my heart still ache
thy presence all too far in distant land
where careless arms push thee with calloused hand
away from mine where once I swore thee none could take.

Thine eyes with tears I shared I shed alone
so thou might never feel the agony
the anguish, loss of my identity,
thy father, thee my offspring, daughter, dearest one.

I watched thee grow through chilling times, and more –
remembering thy portrait in my mind.

‘Twas all I had.

. 3

Oh, gentle child, how doth my soul yet yearn
those many hours oft upon my breast
thy head thou laid safe harbor for thy rest,
thy questions, mind alert, thy hungering to learn.

Thy voice I hear through dreams and zephyr breeze,
thou lark by morn by eve the nightingale,
as Dawn and Dusk, Aurora without fail,
thou hast my heart and soul kept warm with ease.

I watch thee grow, and will, forever more –
remembering thy sculpture in my mind.

‘Tis all I have.

		4

Until we are as one renewed
some future date somewhere awaits
when thou her servant dare to flee
that which with thee so long accrued
where here I love and there she hates
that wily witch who bindeth thee.

Break loose those prison bars that bind
thy tired wings that flap in vain –
Renew thy pledge at length to find
thy youthful freedom once again.
Then shalt thy flags fly high aloft
while eagles scream thy freedom song,
while robins chirp with redbreast, soft –
all a capella – pure and long.

Then both our souls shall share their peace,
a father and his daughter, found
to spend their lives on borrowed lease
to live and die on hallowed ground.

Thus, take, Tai-Ana, this, my prayer
that fathers and their children hear
of this solemnity
that children here and everywhere
ne’er shed a sad though soulful tear
for all eternity.

[Finis]

Life

Morning has broken,
Like the first morning,
Black bird has spoken,
Like the first word

Compare this to life,
My dearest friends,
We must live life to the full,
To the bitter end.

I sit here amazed,
At what life will bring,
Seemingly un phased,
Still unable to sing

Destined for greatness,
Me? I think not,
The great unanswered question,
Will I be famous or not?

A gripping finale,
My lifes a thriller,
The music grows tense,
The ending a spine chiller.

Hows this thriller end,
My friends I cant say,
For the best advice,
Is to live for today

Love in the Air

Pictures on a shelf,
Cards with sweet thoughts received,
If I thought I was happy,
I was just self-deceived

Till this day has come,
And with it you,
The most beautiful woman,
That I ever knew.

FIRE IS COMING!
GET PREPARED,THE BRIDE GROOM IS COMING
THE BRIDE GROOM IS COMING
FIRE IS COMING!
THE TRUMPET SHALL SOUND
GOD CHOSE THE LIGHT'S HE HAVE FOUND
THOSE WHO ENDURED THIS LIFE SHALL BE CROWNED
FOR THE DISOBEDIENT WILL BE LEFT BEHIND
TAKEN CAPTIVE BY THE ENEMIES MIND
ALTHOUGH,FEW SHALL REMAIN
HIS MERCY STILL REMAINS THE SAME
A REMNANT STRONG ENOUGH TO ENDURE

In Memoriam (Che Guevara)

                            I
I woke up this morning with tears in my eyes,
your face was in the morning paper;
they shot you dead like a dog,
hunted you out all day and night.

                            II
They said you'd always been a bad seed
and youths were dying because of you;
they said you're a criminal on the run
with a dirty face and shaggy head.

                    (Refrain)
But I know you better than they do,
you preached love to all the people;
you fought for them, young and old,
you lit up their nights with your heart.

                            III
And now as I see you lying dead,
it seems my dreams have vanished as well;
they can call you names, any names they want,
but I know there's only one like you,
there's only one like you,
there's only one Che Guevara.
              (Repeat Refrain)

You lit up their nights with your heart,
you lit up their nights with your heart,
you lit up their nights with your heart.

Cry of the Soul

Once, when my soul cried out in mournful pain;
I believed the Spirit, with me, wept.
When I felt that life was all in vain,
He lifted me from the drowning depth.

Now when flowing tears upon me fall,
and all seems hopeless in this life;
Does He hear my constant wailing call,
when I feel grief’s merciless cutting knife?

Where is my God when I need Him so,
when my soul is wounded and torn apart?
The One Who promised to never forsake nor leave,
does He see me here with bleeding heart?

Like the lonesome howling coyote, my soul does cry
in vain, it seems for peaceful relief.
And as the unfolding years go by,
will I forever be haunted with relentless grief?

Will there be answers which I will someday find?
Will my feet ever be back on the ground?
Unanswered questions riddle my weary mind,
as I feel and see the misery all around.

I was one of faith and considered strong,
but now am weak and a pitiful creature.
What I have become, I have pondered long;
and realize my need of the One True Teacher.

Once again, my howling, mournful wail cries out;
“Oh, God, my Master, hear my plea.
We need Your help, without one single doubt.
We beg for strength to set all pain free...”

Down The Long Hall, Ode to "In The Long Hall" by Hayden Carruth

Believing his tapestry would never
be fixed he tried to keep the small part
under him together. As he held the last
bit of tapestry together, he saw a light
which was blinding at first but then turned
to a soft glow in which he saw a man.
A man with a scruffy beard and a nice suit
standing in front of the window came over
and held down the unraveled ends of
his tapestry and so he was able to weave.
Even though his tapestry was in shambles
he kept on weaving with this man who
amazingly kept all the unraveled ends
of his tapestry down. He slowly but surely
was fixing the tapestry and soon he didn’t
need this mans help but asked the man to
watch over him while he kept weaving.
Later the man whispered something
to him and then said he’d always
be there. Then he walked away.
After the man left he always thought
of him and decided to follow what
the man had whispered in his ear. Because
of what the man had whispered to him
that was all he needed to live the rest of his life
in peace, in faith, in order.

Love is a Sacrifice

You have my soul, but you have your fate Whatever your words, I’m willing to take You have my word; I’ll give you my breath It’s like a chain that would never be break You are my love with all my heart, I’ll fight for you with all my might. And in the way, you admire your goals, You hold my hands, but not so close. As you go to your chosen path, I’ll accept the fact that we will be apart. In the dark side, I leave behind Within my faith, that you’ll arise Please don’t look back, coz I’m fighting still I’m hurting so much! Don’t want to have you near I accept my fate for what it does, I’m bleeding so much, do you know for whom it was? You reach your goals, as you want to have, Would you remind the man that gave what he had? As you reach the stars, and be the one Be a sun that shines its own. After the rain, the rainbow comes, Like dark in the moon, when the light flash A glimpse from you at least a short For then I knew my pain is worth.

Hi Mom

Weather is poised to slap us into submission.
Threatening with the largest storm in history
To make us aware of her power to destroy
And yet, here on the cusp of history,
battened down
well stocked
Do I yet love Nature
With all of her wild and beautiful ways.
Her seas have been there for me in my times
Of Loss
And Need
Ever showing me the vastness of her being
She has ever been the Way
In all her present tense
My wilder spirit rises in answer to her challenges
Enhancing my life daily.

Danger love

subtle it starts, those thoughts of you
so cunning and quick, little I can do
with each pounce unexpected
claws dug in my mind
Love has me infected
no cure to find . . . .

loudly it roars! with every heartbeat
I sense the excitement
a moments defeat
my soul so enlightened
and still my knees weak.

Unable to run, no sense in escape
hooked by those eyes
im caught in a state
immobilised
by the antics of fate.

So here I stand, to you to surrender
you've won the heart
of a vagabond roaming
upon you to ponder,
however still knowing
your truelly a wonder
my smile fondly showing.

companions, companions, together to be
for that is the wish of the lover in me,
you're beauty is your nature
you're nature is free
tamed not by no master
amazing to see.
lets travel together, in search of a place
where we rest assured, our love shows its face.

AN ODE TO AGE

AN ODE TO AGE

Where are hairs that are grey?
Age has now become a prey
Respect washed home away

Age can never be a number
If so wisdom is a title
Age wake up and let’s have a history

Wisdom prepares a banquet not for kids
For the strong and those willed
Wisdom comes with grey

Maturity is not but a twin of wisdom
Age is not maturity; maturity is age
A child can be old; old can never be a child

For my mother's birthday

Dear Lord thank You for a mother
who stayed through it all with us,
who has shown us the way to church,
because in You today I trust.
Thank You for every hardship she faced
for she has taught us sacrifice
now I can give my all to You,
nothing else would have sufficed.
Thank You Lord for all her toil
because she represents great strength
for even in adversity
she persevered through great a length.

If anyone be candidate
let it be her You honour Lord
for You know all about her struggle
and surely You are her reward.
I praise You greatly for Her life
my life without her could not be,
show her Your favour without measure
for everything she's meant to me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Free as the wind Ode to native American Indians

Oh how I wish
I could set free
the native American Indian
with pride and dignity
taking them back
across the great open plains
to their sacred home
in the lush green vallies
where buffalo are plentiful
and roam
so the Indians can live in peace
one with nature once more
where the eagles soar
setting them free as the wind
wild untameable as a magnificent stallion
running toward the setting sun.

Family and Friends

Family, the enemy of our souls wants us to believe
The lie that we are alone
He wants us to believe
That we are treading hopeless road

But the cloud witnesses who urge us on
Tell us another story
The road we tread with light and beauty and fellowship
My friends, we are never alone

Ode to a Mellow Glass of Chardonay - by Michael Dom

Marvellous Mellow Glass of Chardonnay
What was my life before you came my way?
My parched throat and tongue, my taste buds were rife,
My heart, my mouth, with the raw taste of life!
I would sweat by my brawn, or by my brows,
Through the days and nights, for a wife and house;
But, with a Mellow Glass of Chardonnay,
My troubles and strife’s seem to wash away!
My heart, my mouth, would taste the sprite of life
If you were woman, I’d make you my wife!

An Ode To My Beloved

I just wanted to let you know
That I have this love for you...
Although I'm not fast to show
For you, there's nothing I wouldn't do
And I can't control this love
No matter what I try to do...

While I know our lives are separating
Which has got me pretty blue
I just want you to know
How much I love you...

Because I was blinded by shyness
And now my heart's feeling rugged
So this here's An Ode To My Beloved

Oh how I still see you every night in my mind
You're the best girl I feel I'll ever find
And when my eyes would fall upon your smile
My heart would be put on trial
And so if nothing else, I want to let you know
That I'll always love you, that my hearts beat
For you, won't ever slow...

Because I was blinded by shyness
And now my heart's feeling rugged
So this here's An Ode To My Beloved

So I wish you happiness beyond compare
And sorry for the times I couldn't help but stare
Caring, passionate, smart, and loving
From my heart, to you, I'll never be shoving

You will always be in my heart
No matter where we go, how far we drift apart...

Goodbye My Love...

From the Shepherd to His Flock: a Parody of Lord Byron's ''She walks in beauty''

THEY graze in beauty on the land
of grassy glades and dewy dales,
and all that's best of dark and tanned
     meets in their aspect and their tails;
thus mellowed to that tender hand
which Shepherd to gentle glen compels.

One fleece the more, one hair the less,
had half repaired the shearless grace
which wreathes in every woolen tress
or darkly tightens o'er their face,
where mouths serenely sweet express
how pure, how dear their grazing-place.

And on that rump and o'er that round
so strong, so firm, yet elegant,
the baas that win, the hooves that bound,
but tell of days in meadows spent—
a flock at peace with all around,
a drove whose milk is innocent.

These Peaks of Joy

These mouths of laugh
 these traps of many
these winds as peas,
 they grow;they are tall.

These fools to smiles
 these miserable men of ham;
these slings of love
 they fail;they are frail.

These fair feet;adorned
 these skins of cherubs;rare
these sparks of peace,
 they come;they go.

These rivers of soil
 these soils of mud
these rocks are flakes
 they sink not;they sail.

But yet even the emblem of love
 becometh but fragile
even the light that was but:
 dawns to darkness
so the joy is as a rock
 In a sling it goes up hither;
but sooner falls.

These drains of sadness
 these moments;but few
these peaks of joy
 they;intense but brief.

These sobs of annoyance;
 these moons at graves
these blues are silent,
 they whisper;they are meek.

These lilies are not flowers
 these twigs but roses
these;there fragrance
 they enlighten;they are life.

These mountains of prophets
 these seas of glass,
these heights of love,
they work no ill;they are joy.

These peaks of laugh
 these deep winds,
these rare bushes of gloom,
 they burn;it's passion.
            -The end-

Life Of The Imagination

        Life Of The Imagination

Imagination has never had a bath or shower
It does not know of soap
Plays with itself for hours
Hanging from a rope
Hopes for handouts
There are no places it can’t go
In dirty crevasses in dark shadows
It takes chances with glass and wire
Wine becomes expired in its mind
Meandering with tigers, gliding off of stars, where parsecs spark
Falls back into dark matter of inner space
Imagination visits here on Earth for merely seconds
Swings out to a nova blast without its nova cane
And again comes here to the home planet to drink square particles of rain
It named its first 10 children candy
None of them were sweet
The next 10 he called Mortimer
Bought them homes by buffer zones near Kansas
On Christmas it lays Easter eggs on pine needles
Pine trees are used as tooth picks in all seasons
At Thanksgiving it pitches forks
Imagination has no fear of anything accept divorce
It writes the laws in crayon while dancing through the canyons
There are fleeting moments that can never pass beyond its grasp
There are things in space and time that even chance can’t handle
Sometimes Imagination takes me places
I really don’t want to go, without my sandals on
He is my friend but wakes me up at midnight
Places pen and paper in my hand and makes me work
While he just sits there counting sheep and eating candy
Remembering they were his children
None of them were sweet
I wish sometimes imagination would fall right off the Earth
After all, he’s the one who calls it flat
For what that’s worth

Pink Pink Pink

Once in my life, breast cancer, I did not know.
Which was lost, and what would be gained.
I could not see, beyond her glow
Faith and strength carried and remained.
Unfinished things of her dreams come slow
These were not to be lost, our love holds true
Loss of her alluring game would not matter, I did say
In life and love, she is stuck to me with glue
She is more than any loss, which may take away.

Pink in October shapes her autumn sky.
More beautiful now she faces its lie.
Sunshine wakes her in a moonlights lure.
Fighting like a girl, she wins the war.
Dancing as a woman she captures pink ardor.
She is more than a woman, my lady, my love.
Pink, pink, pink color beyond her despair,
Trials and tribulations, rising glow,
She has won her fight; in the pink, breast cancers beware.

SIMPLE JOY OF ART

                                           THE SIMPLE JOY OF ART

When eyes delight upon a work of Michelangelo—gut grinding art-- Creation by a mere man, from his enchanted hands explode results of David –perhaps a heavenly message to impart To the earthbound, scattered world flung far in lands mountain wrapped, plain dirt plains or seabound rocky shores. Vagabonds, they come to marvel by foot or cart. In awe they stand before the stone made man. Walking through the door, drawn to David’s splendid daunting beauty—his far gaze imparts to the viewer-- in that instant, in this life there is nothing more of beauty needed to be seen. Years pass, nights will follow days yet thoughts of this wondrous creature never waiver, never fade but haunt delightedly like a nightlight in the darkness. What manner is there to praise the artist for a gift so long lasting? Repeated thoughts played reflecting David's beauty --and played again—durable throughout the years, Clarified and Magnified in time, not diminished--when mind is disarrayed suddenly a glimpse will flash—through grief’s unbidden tears David will stand in mind’s eye, unchanged , ever manly strong-- beauty possible by stone conscience unblemished by dreadful acts or craven fears. Thus it is --creation of a man who does no wrong. Perhaps it is the reason Heaven's blessed the world with Art which reaches all-- both rich and poor--announces to the throngs-- Look to men of stone to find the rare and pure of heart.

Mysteries of Human Hairs

Mysteries of Human Hairs Hairs, O’ hairs, O’ lovely ravishing hairs, Fascinating and beautiful, you often resemble, When nicely looked after and softly taken care of. Your beauty and elegance has often inspired, Your softness and shines have captivated many To put their hearts on fire, Your aroma can evoke to extremes, Passion and lust like streams. The lustrous beauty of these hairs, Have raised thousands of wars sacrificing millions, To win only a Helen of Troy and Even great warriors like Ceasar and Antony became a prey, Before the killing magic of your arts and flying colors. Even the ravishing beauties of these hairs, Have charmed many eminent enemies and warriors Besides the millions and millions of moving lovers since ages, Who fall prey to the loveliness of these alluring hairs. Your graceful presence, has produced men of letters, Your locks have killed many, in the history of the world, While many have altered their existence, completely, To win, the beauty of your hanging hair locks and curls, Even the dullness of your hairs too, Have often inspired many wandering lovers and singers. Hairs, O’ hairs, O’ lovely ravishing hairs, When you hang, you look like dark clouds, Playing on the forehead of a woman, By watching such clouds many get lost, In the colors of your showering rains. Many Writers, poets and artists find their inspirations, Under the love and softness of you O' hairs and Many have produced things of beauty and joys forever, While many have found the goal of their life, In the beauty of your lustrous curls and colors, What a strange it is, that still many Would like and love to get sacrificed, In the enchanting flames of hairs, like small flies forever. It is also a hard truth of the world and Of our human life and air that, Even some saints too have fallen prey, Before your enchanting beauty and your alluring colors. Many mighty kings have lost their crown and kingdoms, In the ever tempting beauty of your magnetic curls and shines, To get hold of you, O’ lovely hairs. Kingdoms have fallen like the house of cards and Even most powerful men of this earth, Have lost the edge of their swards, Before the shining, flying and mesmerizing, Beauty of a women’s hair and its penetrating charms. What wealth and gems you hide in your treasure, Making many men and even women, Mad, before the lovely ravishing beauty of you, O’ Hairs. Ode To Pretty Cat

            Ode To Pretty Cat

My cat has female inclinations when it purrs
It does not speak in English using words
But has a perfect soul
Pretty Cat gets by, with its billowy fur

Prefers not fighting and takes flight
At any sign of danger or such notions
Avoids all confrontations
Wears his fluffy yellow hair like gold
He spreads out on his pillows that are its oceans
Unfolds, unfurls his coat in thick proportions
Spoiled, preened and cleaned in lotions
He’s such a pretty boy

Curtains hang as clouds, as distractions
Such fun and dangling’s, to drag them down, as pleasure toys
We smother him in kisses, emotions and affections
He’s such a pretty thing
Who simply glows
He’s almost human

It is a life of comforts, slumbering all day
I would love to be with kitty all the time
But work and life get in the way
So I must work so Pretty Cat can play

It dreams in feline tiny mind expressions
Short cat naps at a time of happy things and smiles
Imagines fish and birds served up in style with some cat nip
Pretty Cat has no place to go so it grows fat
We pet him for hours while he rolls on his back
I just love being with my little friend
A true city kitty cat

Though he is very old he stays real sweet and pretty
My heart jumps, as it attacks the string I hold
It clings to it and swings with fevered paws
As bright green eyes follow like a tick tock clock
Pendulum like as the one thing in life he likes a lot

It is through comfort found in twine and string
My cat and I find true happiness in things

When I’m with Pretty Cat problems fade far away
Dissolve and melt into tomorrow with no sorrow
Where beauty alone cannot keep his lustrous eyes awake
Our play time has no measure in the hours
I always find pure pleasure with that Pretty cat of mine

Ode to Danny ,you are finally sober as a judge

You lived a hard life with tortured soul
Wanted more struggled to be whole
Addiction became your whole being
Your life has to have a meaning

I watched your tortured soul for years
Carrying bags with drink and beer
Hiding it more from yourself than me
The drunk is what you came to be

But there was much more to the man
Whose name was known to all as Dan
He had a heart that was bigger than most
Under the tough exterior he'd boast

He lived the life he wanted to live
If you were friend his shirt he'd give
His death to some came as a surprise
For some we watched his years of demise

So now I toast you here today
That is what you'd want I'd say.

For my mother's birthday

Dear Lord thank You for a mother
who stayed through it all with us,
who has shown us the way to church,
because in You today I trust.
Thank You for every hardship she faced
for she has taught us sacrifice
now I can give my all to You,
nothing else would have sufficed.
Thank You Lord for all her toil
because she represents great strength
for even in adversity
she persevered through great a length.

If anyone be candidate
let it be her You honour Lord
for You know all about her struggle
and surely You are her reward.
I praise You greatly for Her life
my life without her could not be,
show her Your favour without measure
for everything she's meant to me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

EAGLE ENTANGLEMENTS

                                                   EAGLE ENTANGLEMENTS

                                                            bold beauty
                                                     perilous dance of love
                                                            free-fall mate

                                                      part at the moment
                                                        glory before death

                                                           pause to watch

                                                    would you still choose me

God Bless This Stump

Along the fair road
On which I amble
I conceived this ode
In which love is ample

God bless this stump
Supporting the tree
That provided so much
For our futurity

When counting its rings
There can be no doubt
About all the things
That tree brought about

For the pencil to compose
Cherished love letters
On paper I chose
So you’d love me better

And it offered shade
Plus spots to snuggle
Near a lovely glade
Away from life’s struggles

We enjoyed peaches
From that old tree
As we partnered to reach
Picking memories

It blessed our marriage
Shaped as a steeple
And framed the carriage
To make our jaunt regal

And It supplied timbers
For the house we live in
Built with skilled fingers
On boards thick and thin

When cold overtakes
We always say grace
For the warmth it makes
In the brick fireplace

Our love will not slump
It’s always burning
Because of you, stump
Our world keeps turning

Oldd the Days

Old are they; those fables
Green they seemed so idle,
murrain of theirs still but
stand.

Odd how all of us prattle
Lads indeed we still are
longing hearty; throstles
songs sang_we all are.

Old; we wot these birds
their silent screams,
their feathers whim;
Nwunwani ya malena
oh swain to boyish manner.

Odd these tricks;futile
that laugh; humor felt
fainly graft; lusty marks
brat indistinct;two of these.

Old indeed friends many,
lunatics, lovers, poets;
to me:days where fine
the faces, the smiles;
the best_my closest: my mother.

Odd_history of man's fall
from glory; temporal but
lowly, to the swam of folks
indulged in folksy fables
and wind drought eagles.

Old the age of time,
if he were to count her down
feast_lamps shone_indwelling clans;
of rocks as bread and
lands as fields of gold.

Odd these slippers_my
lullaby, the gentle embrace
of firm support and fashionable
hey, hello; nice shoes,
intrigue in loops.

Old my looney_little mate
from lands only of myth,
imagined places: those
created films_my pixel pinky.

Odd my interest in single
females,of simple yarn and
lowly glory that's too fragile for;
lollipops_kisses and pecks like
v award winds.

Old these melodies of Bome_yes
bome; these loving tides of
beautiful countenance rose
as roses at noonday;as
waves at water pools.

Odd these Irish boys of Ireland_
Scottish accents in American films
faked acts of Hitler in short pants,
Black dark doves; the purity of beauty
Africa.

Old yes odd these remarkable words:
these watery lines_the days.

Call To Worship

            ************

To pick-up and to receive
In the Anointment
A moment of the
        Mind's Eye
By His goodness
And by His grace
      ------
A second with
             > GOD <
      ------
Ties' a wonder thing
For which we long await...
A dream' come true..
For Me and You
      ------
A blessing from the Lord
A gift from all time'
To dwell with-in His favor
Beyond the Most Holy
           And truly..
The most Divine
      ------
To fellowship with GOD
The recoveries' of the BLESSINGS'
      That He should bring
      ------
The mere Act of His touch
That is not a breech of Reality
But, a COVENANT that which
          We need so much
To be in touch with Jesus
And to Thee, to be, Amen
          Amen

pride and vanity

Oh! Beloved, I’m dying to hear your voice for so long
You’re so far now and my tears could really make sounds as song
I’d say that I become obsessed to you since the first time,
I saw you and I couldn’t dare to resist your smile,
Beholding your beautiful eyes motions makes me want to fly
I know that you attempt to forget about my love but,
Please don’t forbid me to keep thy
I dared to make you jealous, and I know that you fry
And even you spend your nights in cry,
I’d never come back to you even if you touched the sky
Your love made life smiles to me and so feel alive
Now, it all seems bitter with hope to be blind or to die
My pride, vanity banned me to show you what I feel inside
But I still satisfied, you’re far but I can feel you beside
No one but you can switch off the fire within
Torturing me every single sigh and in,
My heart I couldn’t from my sentiments to flee
My desire to obtain you, can’t you see??!!
But that what’s enthralling about you and give you bright,
As a precious, expensive diamond light
Doesn’t sounds clearly to an ordinary at the first sight,
Oh! Beloved I’m so delight!!
Since I know that one day you won’t be able to keep it in your heart
Sorry! But I didn’t mean to be so smart, but it’s the bitter fact.
That’s not indeed abstract.

The last drop of love

As I picked up the glass
I felt its weight
I felt its coolness
Its perfect smoothness
So where does gravity find a grip?

As I sipped the wine
I tasted aromas deep
I tasted the sun on rounded grapes
Grown in distant, romantic landscapes
So how did the taste get to travel?

As I saw the light reflected red
I saw the rings of colour
I saw the glow, I saw the faded pallor
In the edges of the light
So why did the light leave no mark?

And as I turned to weightlessness
And became a deathly stench
I turned into eternal light
My hand being firmly clenched
So why are You taking me home?

Ode to a friend

Socially retarded and somewhat aloof I never knew what a true friendship was.
Not knowing how to play well with others growing into a young man.
I was 18 years old, washing dishes in that Chinese Restaurant, House of Lypan.
A dude came along, pretty tall and good looking as the girls gave chase.
Giggling and fluttering their eyes, I always wished to be as cool as you, just a taste.
Then one day, on a visit to see the girls; you stopped in my presence and said,
“I want to hang with you! What time do you get off work?”
I was baffled, befuddled and a little standoffish,
for no one ever talked to me, unless to get dishes.
As I remember those many Friday nights,
beers and tacos, everything was going to be all right.
Lyrics of Rush and Journey, you knew every word, singing along in your V.W. bug
like a bird.
By summer’s end of that infamous summer, a genuine friend I had found;
but alas, it was over what a bummer.
I moved away, but came back that fall, our friendship flourished once more.
But as most friendships do, our ways dearly departed. Many years would pass until
we’d cross each other’s lives again.
This chance quite by fortune, as you knocked on my door one New Year’s Eve’ it
was ’95 I believe.
That night was a big one; deciding to end this journey called life, too much pain for
this young man to carry;
Two kinds of ‘candy’ to help ease the transition
from mortal to death; a bottle of Jack, for some extra kick.
I had a loaded 45 gun to help do the deed.
Then came your knock, was about 2 minutes to ‘celebration time’ for they
say ‘midnight is the bewitching hour.”
I thought to myself, ‘who could this be?’ for I had no more friends, no career or
family. And yet as if an Angel, you were knocking on my door! I hid what I had,
ashamed and not wanting a friend to know how much pain I was in. I opened the
door to those familiar words, ““I want to hang with you! What time you get off
work?” I remember thinking, "how long has been since I grinned?"
If just for one moment, when you stand before God, all your sins are erased, and a
moment of cause
as God says with a Joyous loud voice…”Wait a minute Rick, what’s this? Well I’ll be,
you’re better than most I can clearly see. I was just perusing over your life, you
didn’t mention this… but you saved a life!”
“Ah shucks it was nothin’, just a friend being a friend...I’m sure he’d of done the
same, if the tables were turned.” And that is why I will and have always called you
friend….

Cleveland

Once a man of steel,
cuckolded by foreigners,
made to bear a rusty belt
And belch hapless smoke in shame.

Once a spiderweb of commerce-
now a conglomerate of strangers,
united by dementia-ridden streets
frayed and cracked by Erie’s buffets-
but the breakwall soldiers still hold the line.

As do the masses, when they can stand
the agony of Sundays as crying sots,
drenching the gutters in saltwater
beers, burying the despair behind
frozen, grim, angry brows.

On they fight, under the evergaze
of endlessly winking red guardians
who still believe, as the men below,
that Cleveland still rocks, on and on.

My woes

I'm a tad dried up
I haven't written a poem in a while,
Waiter, pour some coffee in my cup,
So where was I, Trying to convince you about you're beautiful smile,
No, I was talking about my woes,
As you can see, I'm a terrible poet,
I couldn't rhyme to save my life,
But, Hey, it pays the bills, even helps me deal with my foes,
You try to tell me I'm a good poet, sadly I don't show-it
Someday, maybe, I'll read my poems to my wife.

Ode on the Four Forgotten's

Here take my hand,
I have watched the world torn itself apart,
Through agony and despair
I have seen the tears of the innocence’s and smiles from the wicked
How long does this world needs to endure?
The sufferings cause by war and sickness;
Life long torment endured by those who stand upright for the truth,
If you take my hand you will know my purpose of existence
I am Sorrow, that’s who I am.

Here take my hand,
And know the false teachings of this world
Everywhere I look, I see lies
Lies this world has created,
I wish to bring light into this world, if only my words were heard
And my teachings are truly followed.
My followers are lost, instead of finding those who are lost!
If you take my hand, you’ll know my purpose of existence
I am Truth, That’s who I am

Here take my hand,
And you will know the handiwork of man
God created man in His image, and man created society in his image.
A society of greed, lust, hatred, envy and the thoughts of evil towards one another,
A spitting image of mankind darkest part of their hearts,
Know then, sorrow and truth
They know me for I surpass them and bring them all to being
I am Love.
Take my hand,
And let me ease your sorrows and,
Let me open your eyes to the lies this world has implanted in your heart
I have seen them ignore the poor out on the streets,
As they are in a hurry to merry in charity, to claim names for themselves,
Mankind has truly been deceived by the lair or have they deceived themselves?
Know me and know love, for truelove is unconditional.

Here take my hand,
And know my words are true and just!
For I represent those whose voices have been silent.
I represent those, whose strength has being taken,
I am the shield for the weak and the sword for the righteous.
I have seen those who uphold the laws are the ones who break them.
I have seen the blood of the innocence turning the river red.
Laws are meant to rule man and not man to the rule laws,
Corrupting the true law is a sin, for it corrupts justice!
Take my hand! And know what true justice is.
I am Justice, and question me not on laws for I know the laws.

Celebrate

Celebrate

To the best and the greatest, we must show our respect.
It's more than just the principal of the matter and
an even greater prospect.
It will take us beyond the gates of the ordinary
to explore the extraordinary.
It's an unseen privilege in the hands of many.
Yet, it is the few that treasure it of any.
Thus, it is reserved to be preserved.

Preserved it is
for the greatest endeavored quiz.
It's a chosen price to pay
for the gift of a new day.
A new chance dances in disguise
when one truly tries.

When the victory is achieved,
we celebrate.
Decorate.
Create.
Re- Create.
We work hard, then harder.
We keep going.
We don't look back.
We keep growing.
We be sure to stay right on track.
And when the day is finally over,
we never forget to celebrate.

Ode: to the Nymph

SHE floats in grace, like one in love
     with love itself and all that’s lush;
and when the mythic sprites above
unloose her from the morning's blush,
she descends like the milk-white dove
with the notes of a singing thrush.

With golden locks, as light as air,
and liquid, limpid eyes most blue,
none is like her or can compare
to her beauty and lovely hue
which lift the humble souls that dare
come to her for her balmy dew.

As cloud and rain Nymph and a muse
with the nimbused crest of a saint
which no man can therefore refuse
or with mean words tarnish or taint,--
then let all Creatures freely choose
     to honor her without constraint.

Tooth

When the guest are gone and the weather get's hot.

Face it with drink and hits the spot.

Do you want to be married or do you want to be right.

The bottle gets lower as you drink till you're tight.

Look in the mirror and search for your youth.

All that's found is you're long in the tooth.

Put on your makeup that gives you ten years.

The friends have gone and you're left with the tears.

Remembers the beauty from the days of your school.

The wine remembers and helps one to fool.

Long for those days when they bowed at your feet.

Another year older and have lost all your teeth.

By Patrick Cornwall to my Mother
For I still see your beauty. I love you

Ode to a Fortunetelling, Daily 32

32: Ode to a Fortunetelling
I.
The land was never to rest
The princess locked in a tower
The Tarot card laid on the chest
Her feelings began to sour
The teller made an impression.

The reading made her afraid
Causing her land to shake
No longer an innocent maid
Her future unlocked a black quake
Regretting this fortunetelling session.

II.
With bad news outlined and decked,
The princess’ plans become questions.
Is my future so hopelessly wrecked?
Could all these cards offer suggestions
On how to avoid certain death?

Now the tellers is free from the prison
The girl’s dread grows to an unheard of height
He leaves the poor princess in derision
Lamenting her bad luck and plight
It is hard to capture her breath.

III.
Are you leaving me with no way fight this?
She calls after him furious and contrite
He replies that no one can avoid the abyss
Her thoughts reel with contempt and spite
How is she supposed to digest this mess?

The foreseer just shrugs his shoulders
Lets the door lock on it own
She tears the armor from its holders
I guess I am battling this one alone
Never again to wear a pink silken dress.

MICHELANGELO'S HANDS

                                MICHELANGELO'S HANDS

When eyes delight upon a work of Michelangelo—gut wrenching art-- Creation by a mere man, from his enchanted hands explode results of David –perhaps a heavenly message to impart To the earthbound, scattered world flung far in lands mountain wrapped, plain dirt plains or seabound rocky shores. Vagabonds, they come to marvel by foot or cart. In awe they stand before the stone made man. Walking through the door, drawn to David’s splendid daunting beauty—his far gaze imparts to the viewer-- in that instant, in this life there is nothing more of beauty needed to be seen. Years pass, nights will follow days yet thoughts of this wondrous creature never waiver, never fade but haunt delightedly. Perhaps it is the reason Heavens blessed the world with Art which reaches all-- both rich and poor--announces to the throngs-- Look to men of stone to find the rare and pure of heart.

WHAT WE OWE GOD: An Eternal Debt of Praise

a couple had a good son whom they sent off to grad school
his goal to become a doctor as he was smart and nobody's fool
now on his own he decided to no longer attend Sunday service
he felt that God had no need for his personal worship

some people tend to feel that God doesn't require their praise
the question of a debt of gratitude in their minds has never been raised
but what people fail to realize or even comprehend
is that it was God who gave life to them
Creator of the universe and every living being
Creator of everything we're touching, hearing and seeing
Dr. Albert Einstein once made a very telling remark
that seeing how the human eye works is proof there's a God

when viewing this wonderful world and all the magnificence it beholds
one can clearly see the hand of God that has uniquely unfold
a sunrise, a sunset or a rainbow after a spring shower
a solar eclipse, a child being born are all proof of God's great power
He created man and it was He who gave us the breath of life
He gave us His love and grace and His son as a sacrifice

things have happened in our lives of which we're not even aware
times when God has shielded us from the evil that's out there
He's sent His mighty angels to watch over our backs
He's sent His heavenly warriors to stop any and all attacks
an eternal debt of gratitude and praise to God we owe
but we're not the only beings who are in the know
the angels in heaven praise His holy name
the devil in hell also bows down to Him in shame

created in His image His likeness we now bear
we're His beloved children for whom He tenderly cares
He makes Himself known to us every morning, noon and night
He is our source, our all in all, our strength and our light
an eternal debt of praise from us towards God is due
and as you read this poem I hope you get a clue

God doesn't need anything from us He's complete on His own
It's us who needs God as we can't do it alone
God is great, God is sovereign, He is the King of kings
He's all powerful, He's all mighty and controls everything
there is nothing in this universe that is not under His command
and no matter what we think He holds the whole world in His hands
and today that young man who thought that God didn't need his praise
is now a doctor and disciple of Christ whose hands are forever raised
an eternal debt of praise from us the Lord God is due
because if it wasn't for the Lord God there would be no me nor a you

Ode to A Healthy Prisoner

Just breathe in the clarity
Clarity of the whole
Whole or negativity
Negativity eating your soul

Head for tomorrow
Tomorrow always waits
Waits for enlightenment
Enlightenment heals mistakes

You are where you’ve put yourself
Your “SELF” now reminds you of shame
Shame brought on by acting out thoughts
Thoughts a conscious shouldn't retain

Give yourself an apology
An Apology you deserve to have
Have some faith in your timing
Timing bleeds wisdom in man

Bless your self and live righteous
Righteous spirits rise above
Above all if you are kind
Kind souls conquer hate with love

Poetry brings torment to a halt
Halt all your never-ending thoughts
Thoughts are forbidden evil hiding
Hiding light inside divine spots

So please write down your own deep thoughts
Thoughts penned will conquer your inside trap
Trap your life up in your cell all alone
Alone you shall stay smelling your crap~

please don't be offended by the last line~
I felt it was necessary to get my point across~

Happy Mother's Day

A life of love, a life of happiness,
A life without tears, a life without distress,
Given by the one whose love for me doesn't falter,
The one I dearly love, the one I call my mother,
She has been there for me when no one would,
She has been there for me when my father should,
But she stood by me through thick and thin,
That's why I love her deep down within,
She provides my wants and what I need,
So I will make her proud an surely succeed,
What I'm doing to show my love is very poor,
And honestly I know she deserves so much more,
She had me so young when she didn't had to,
She put down her life and to me she didn't turn her back to,
I love her with all my soul and all my heart,
I will love her to the finish and 17 years ago it had start,
I've lived with her all my life,
From she was single and now she's a wife,
But I know her love for me is far different,
Providing my needs even when she has to pay the rent,
I'm sorry if I hurt you or made you cry,
But I promise to make happy tears flow from your eye,
If you were to go I don't know what I would do,
So I'm telling you deep from my heart that I Love You......

Scent of my deity

Everything is fine
The best of opening lines
Scent of my deity,
Absorbs my soul
I shall need no wine
I shall write the finest
Of the verses ever written
Ode’s, Hymns, for you
I shall kneel, I shall seek purity
Merci, for the undying love
Forgiveness,
The infinite intimacy
In your heavenly beauty

FiveFiveFive

Driving and thinking of my friends that are gone.

I weep for them because they have died to soon.

But they come to me alive and free with their secrets.

I see them when I close my eyes.

The tattoo we got is fading.

I'll be back.

I can't speak but the man on the corner knows.

I hold up my hand and make a peace sign.

I stutter and most don't want me around when they are getting high.

Crawling on the floor searching and the peepers lifting the blind.

I paid through my soul and with fear.

I'll be back

And that fear of not finding blinds me against the wall.

Reluctantly I give another piece of darkness.

I have learned sign language as again I hold up the peace.

The man searches my face as he bends down and reaches into the trash.

He hands me two and I soar home and its clear.

I'll be back.

The Dime

There was once upon a time,
Unexpectedly, a very small dime.
He did not do much of anything,
Apart from gazing.
He just stared longingly at the sky,
Counting the clouds that drifted by.

Dear old Dime, not very bright,
He did not shine, not a ray of light.
Dark and rusty,
Old and dirty.
Everyone did not care,
Though they could use him and buy a bear.

They did not want to touch,
This old thing of such.
They did not want to feel.
That sick disgusting bill.
He was old, rusty and dim,
But he hated the way man treated him.

My promise to you JCO

There are moments I still wonder why.
Question everything I gave, and every action
I blamed myself for you not wanting to try
But came to realize you never gave a fraction.

I bled my heart out for you
Cut even when the scar would heal
The wound in love was cruel
Hope in selfishness you chose to steal

You found me in a thousand bits
Picking them up one at time
Instead of glue it was a temporary fix
To make the shattering affect more define

Now that the tears have all fallen
I promise you only of this
Your face I will have forgotten
But mine will haunt your every first kiss

The warrior's Many songs yet Unsung

I.
In the full light of a warriors plight,
Sometimes it becomes a case of being slighted and being Aright,
Its a case of solemn thinkings to soothe this anguish and its deeprooted pain,
Do see things from the Warrior's point of view,
He sees Life as a kaleidoscopic dreamy paraphrase,
Roasting Angernuts and storing them aways as Groundnuts stored in airtight
jars,
For when his flesh is pricked his thunderous clap resounds for eight villages and
beyond,
His most favorite son supplies his fill-ins of heavily spiced and stuffed roasted
Bushmeat,
His most loving and caring daughter never allows his fresh kicking "House and
Bush fly saluted" Palmwine to cease its awesome flow,
His youngest and most active wife sits at his left side to wrap his "wisdom
fumes" in its tobacco sheath...Marijuana never tasted more spiritual from her very
fingertips,
He loves the looks on his strongheaded sons' face as they sit in gossip to roast
his yellow sweet corns,
The feel of roasted corn blended with the "wise fumes" arising from this
Marijuana spliff all wetted down with the Imperial fluidity of palmwine.

II.
Drinking this two mouthfuls of the enemy chief's blood at battle never felt any
soulwarming,
For you it would be constant anguished Bed tossing,
Draping my palace in Human skulls and rare animal skins,
Writing for Kings, Knights and their Monks,
Writing for Spliffs, Chieves and their Drunks,
Writing for Owls, Dragons, Angels and their Wings,
Knowing full well your brain might learn to take its rightful Literary place,
We must have moved with this much a-blaze,
We will slow down for you to sip in this page's full intake,
Not a case of primitive battle acclaims,
Just a feel of the Martial spirit though,
The warrior's many many songs yet unsung,
His life and times,Do keep within your salient confines.

Pyramid-Maker

From a three-sided angle
Astrological purpose is unmangled
Triangle on top
Square on the bottom
Bright halo around God
Our tears fill His bottle
A Pyramid is a monument to death
A Tabernacle of wealth
Which comes into effect
When there's no longer breath
Is it mourning or celebration in stealth
Beyond Technology
Architectural prophecy
Geometrical philosophy
The place where Kings and Queens lay
Buried on a sun-disk
Dedicated to Day
The final form to decay
Hands form this shape
When they're positioned to pray.

At Breaking Point

There is nothing in this world that i can possibly think of or think of doing to tell you how much I love you. You are so sweet to me, i can't almost stand it wen you call me handsome and cute, cause it sounds so sweet to me. If there is anything in this world that you can think of for me to prove my love to you, just name it. I will be all over that in a flash. Even though we didn't get to see each other for very long cause of my dumb ass, that was still what i wanted to see today really bad. Looking into your BEAUTIFUL green eyes today was like looking into Gods heaven. The only thing that is missing is your touch on my skin. I probably would not be able to hold it in me and take a hold of you by your waist and press you against me, and than the smell of your hair would turn me on to the BREAKING POINT. I would start by kissing down your neck and curress your neck with my tong. Than while curressing your body, I would start slipping my hands under your shirt, and under your bra and upon your perfect titties. Than i would start pulling your bra and shirt off at the same time and begin kissing your titties. Kiss them all the way down to your belly button and back up to your face. When i would lift your upon my hips i would carry you to the bed and start kissing you back down your titties and your ribs and your belly button and than an inch lower passed your belly button just to get you a little more wet and wanting.
To Be Continued. Set for Contest!

Silent Night Sky

Oh how can one capture
Your beauty on paper
Without you evaporating
Off as it is your nature

The stars are your jewels
The moon is your crest
Everyone drools
As if blessed

Your silence is serenity
That whisper to my thoughts
An overwhelming beauty
That ties my stomach up in knots

How humble I am sound
A beauty incomparable
With a radiance so profound
Your absence is unbearable

when i close my eyes i see the hope and joy that could have been.
when i close my eyes.i see love and unity between people of different raceses.
when i close my eyes.i see myself flying above the mountains looking down,
through the eyes of an Eagle. and as i am flying i can see the sea and iam still
looking through the eyes of an Eagle.when i close my eyes.i see the stars above
when i close my eyes i see children happy Not sad.or scared.
i see them playing together not fighting one another.i see no war.
why cant we all close our eyes and see peace and love and hope and joy?not hate.

I'm Just A Brother

I am Willy, and I am a brother of all,
With Love for all and malice to none;
The high and low, who rise or fall.
I'm just a brother, and I am done.

Be a white, or were born black,
(And I am a native of that dark hue)
I believe we all can think and work,
With many a like and differences few.

You are Muslim and I am Christian,
Between our beings stands no fence;
We together can live in peace and earn,
For I am a brother now, and hence and hence.

I am Kenyan born, I am Kenyan man,
And wish to tour abroad some day;
For I am a brother of all, and too a fan,
Borders across and oceans away.

North and South, East and west,
I am a brother of all, wheresoever under sun;
And the world is home my best,
A planet that stands as one.

So I will work with seekers of peace,
Who humanity's cause of dignity further;
And by rule bring the bad to justice,
Because I'm just a brother.

Like I am to you may you be so to me,
By common-sense we live, by no faiths silly,
Understand our being and yearn to be free,
For brothers we are; and again, I am Willy.

the peak of a mountain top experiencing,

...alive,
the soul

O' darling dear

a love letter,
a rhythm,

a liberty,

just one of those things that
inspires,

Ode to Endometriosis

Strong, like kingdom walls,
stacks of sandbags, swamps of quicksand,
or barricades of filigreed barbed wire.
It holds me inside.

I can see myself in eleven years.
Perched on sterile metal instead of
mountains of handmade quilts,
or nests of woven moss.

It will have turned love-making and child-bearing
from an art to a science,
and I will paint pictures
of how being a woman is supposed to feel.

Coffee in a cup, makes a cup of coffee;
just as an aroma from within, makes the air,

smell of flowers in the spring

...blossoms,
blooms,

time,

...a sweet thing, like sugar cane is to the tasting,
and the tasting is to stirring the dream,
flavor,

making flavored coffee
soul,

a drink in the morning.

Dear Sweet Queen of Vanity

I write this letter to bid you a final farewell.
and I truly hope it finds you well and fair.
You see I’ve based my life upon your
being,
and every vain symbol and element you
bare.

But now the time has come to cut you
loose,
and sever this bond you and I have
created.
I wish to live my life not based upon looks;
nor this persona of beauty you have
delegated.

I know it won’t take very long to replace
me –
For others like me you will certainly
convene.
Who will rally in pride and assemble in
deceit,
all in the name of Sweet Vanity their
Queen.

They will bow their heads, proclaim their
trust,
in you, my Sweet Queen and irrefutably
follow.
Bidding well to their pride, masked in
conceit –
Your pill of selfishness they’ll surely
swallow.

But as for you and I, we will no longer exist
–
in an egotistic relationship, shallow and
bleak.
I must move on and proclaim my lost
throne,
of the missing girl now superficial and
weak.

You see I’ve lived the hell and know too
well,
the curse you have upon the weak and
weary.
My beauty lies within, and not what is
seen –
Goodbye my Sweet Queen of Vanities
dreary.

men and woman of all races sizes and shapes
from different back grounds and different life style
but one and only one common denominator
       JIKINYA

Jikinya,a joyful dance that expresses happiness
      joy and greatfulness
good times and memories that last a life time
      jikinya my people jikinya

jikinya for a new life, jikinya for the rains
for every God given gift and blessing
     jikinya

    skies are covered with dust
in our rich undiluted mother tongue we sing
     men thunder in deep voices
     songs with massages that lingers
     jikinya my people jikinya>

the grounds we dance up on
     will never be barren
the rains will fall up on it and good grains will be ours
shouts and praises to the pure dance
a dance that liberates our spirits and ignites our bodies
    filled with joy we explode
    jikinya my people jikinya

Ode to Brandee

You help me see who I am
You catch me when I fall
You helped me get closer to God
You don't care if I'm laughing or crying
You've stuck with me through it all
When my mama started drinking, you helped me through that
When my papa said mean things to me
you showed me he was wrong
You lit the darkness so I wouldn't stumble
You let me cry on your shoulder when I thought I was pregnant
When I found out I wasn't
You shared my joy
You talked me out of doing so much
You're the reason I'm still alive
In one poem
or even a hundred
I couldn't describe all you've done
Thank you for your caring compassion
You really, truly are the best

Eternity's Moment

Intricate webs of geometrical lines,
Invisible cord between soul and mind,
Stretched rigid and wearily taut.
Time...searches cloistered designs
Of snowflake precision...seeking to find
Eternity...God's moment of thought.

Astronomical fingers reach to infinity,
Plunging through layers of time and dust,
From Genesis to Revelation, birth to tomb...
Revealing the reality of Divinity,
Or Time's deception tainted by rust,
Relativity. the fruit of the womb.

Time stands before us...torn pages
Painfully constructed...a microscope
Hovering over the Creation of Earth and sky.
A play on a universe of stages
Passes fleetingly through Man's hope.
Knowledge...born of the animal cry.

Benign Neglect?

In this life,

an epitasis, it is,

Death

Death is not an option, it's your destiny,
But why suit up in boxing gears and try to fight,
He won't throw a single punch but you throw many,
He watches you beat yourself as you swing with all your might,
Then just one touch from him then you dies,
You will end up like everyone else, no matter your wealth,
Everyday someone dies, they all drop like flies,
Because death cares about no one but himself,
Death waits on nobody,
So why should we wait on him,
Let's enjoy life fully,
Bursting with fun like a big zit,
Let's not have too much fun and play with death,
Like joining a gang and selecting a gun,
Getting high on weed or smoking meth,
That's when death laughs and have his fun,
We're all on the same side, let's join hands,
Hold on to life tight, squeezing her palm,
As we all see death has no fans,
He's hot as hell, were cool (pun) and he's warm......

I fell in love with a liar JCO

I sat with you and listened to your heartbreak stories
I held you, I kissed you, I promised I would never do that to you
I fell in love with you.
You sat there and listened to the horrors of my past
You held me, you kissed me, you promised never to do that to me
I fell in love with you.
You wouldn’t let me walk away, but you didn’t chase me either
You said you weren’t ready, but you were never gone
You watched me fall in love with you, but never said a word….

I tried to let you go, I tried to run, why didn’t you just let me?
I tried to mask my pain, I tried to write it out, but you read it all, and kept me?
I wanted to love you, and you let me without hesitation, why?
But you belonged to another undeserving soul that crushed you
And she is worthy of that in which I am not, why?
She cheated on you, you cheated on her
She doesn’t want you and you don’t want me
You used me to get to her, why?
You said I was perfect, and too good for you
Yet you did everything in your will to destroy me. Why?
Why did you do this?
Why did you not see me?
Why did you punish me?
I was in love with you.

Your hand fell from my back
Heard you let out a sigh
I placed my hand on your face
said 'care enough to say goodbye'

I need you to walk away now
leave my heart with me
I cant hear the beat now
that hurt is scaring me
I cant need you like that
no one can take that place
you have your life of content
my dreams you cant face

Im the best in all of it
thats what you continue to say
my smile you will forget
cant play the game your way
even the greatist have broken pieces
and even I cry at night
the blue eyes that close to this
are pleading to see the light

my smile I have been faking
my veins bleed like all
stop saying Im too good for the taking
then watch as I fall

And Then Came You,Another Chance For Love

Vunerable, my heart my own; not trusting; hard to trust any one-
Emotions running rampant,
Not willing to take chances
I sealed my life, my heart with protective defenses
And then came you
You saw me, wanted to know me, desired me and changed my life's view
So that I am dreaming of life's potentialities.

Blind, not looking
And out of the darkness through the disallusion of life's negatiivity,
love came through you and brought serenity
And though my heart was encased with barriers, deep and strong
I believe God sent you to adorn my life with intimacy of feelings and
desires never felt before till you came and embarked my heart's door.
The feelings of sadness you broke and with your coming,
I have feelings of new possibilties.

Timid, shy, alone-
Needing someone to call my own
Lost within myself-
Hurts and pains of the past yielding themselves in me so strong
Robbing me of life's true love, its full experience-
My life needing new direction:  a purpose of fulfilling;
Then came you and I am alive and living.

Timing seemed off at first but nonetheless we met
Spent time together and then time progressed-
Causing a moment's separation;
However years and live have brought us back together
Through God's renewing--now full circle--a reconnection
And then came you, again, and to my surprise but with a welcomed spirit-
My heart is fully open to love's possibilities.

And then came you and I am totally fulfilled.
And then came you and I am inspired and yielding to love's will.
And then came you and my heart if leaping with joy and hope-
No longer enslaved by life's tightrope.
And then came you and I am free-
Many inhibitions carried away by the wind of destiny;
So I know and believe in the power of love's--your love--potency.

God's love for us. Your love for me. My love for you.
Taking us to present and future realms of highest ecstacy-
To know the essence of true love for infinity. Another chance for love.

Ode to the Plastic Comb

Sing praises to the toothless grin
of the plastic, pocket comb;
who through many heads
of boys and men
its plastic tines have flown.
Working magic in the masculine hands,
putting astray stains of hair in place,
as the holder stares into a mirror,
admiring their own face.

Carried in back pockets of
jeans, khakis and shorts;
sat upon on hard surfaces -
some tines start to abort.
Thin tines on one end
for the finest head of hair;
thicker teeth on the other
with large gaps of spaces there.

Left behind on counters,
in kitchen drawers and in bathrooms;
discarded due to some missing teeth,
but for others still worth a groom.
Looking for that perfect look
are many men and boys;
hopeful that this plastic tool
leads to future romantic joys.

ever so beautiful,
ever so attractive

Perhaps, more so,
to wishy-washy,

than hearty-heady,
homeward-bounds

Drawn to your vivacious,
velvety beautiful petals
Only to leave it,
scratched and scarred

As a rose,
ever so beautiful,
and attractive
Perhaps, thorns for protection,
must you have

flame of life

No star in the sky
only ghosts of clouds fly
Deep in the darkness of my heart
there is a ray of light
whenever life felt stale
one becaconhouse encourage to sail
nobody know how to live
only my heart know true lie
who knows about the fuel of passion
everybody leads life just as fashion
only my heart knows how to live
by burning both ends of candle

Christ Crossed

Crucify him crucify him my own declared
Heart a trembling My God so scared
Say who I am the nails I shall feel
Hold back my silence the enemy shall steal
Wounded Oppressed afflicted blows they gave
chosen Apostles runneth into caves
Came I down from far above
created place I am the Dove
Crucify him what's this you say
healed I the sick asketh not for pay
Crucified me while standing and gazing
they all like sheep my children stay grazing
yonder garden where I was betrayed
not one stood with me while I yet prayed
Asked friends will you stay awake
for you see my life they shall take
Gave you life my heart screamed with a sigh
Crucify him is still the reply
Crucify him Crucify him They yelled with glee
ears dull of hearing died I on the tree

AGBARA NWANYI Beauty Without Equal

I feel this jump start,
Then a squeeze in my heart
All because I heard you laugh
Well, any time you laughed.
Yours…
Beauty beyond reach
So I sulk in solitude of wish
I wish! I wish! I wish!
For in you alone, I cherish
This glorious scent of thine
If I can’t taste,
Let me at least perceive

I am blood of warriors
I am fully man. Not put to quail
Line of ancestral heritage,
Even the enemies’ hail
Who make men’s back staircase
For throne’s ascensions
I am Azungwu!
So my recoil is not fear
But invincible heart piercing spear
I know not how to bear
Your eyes spark like crystals
Its lenses can melt metals
Yet, I desire your kiss over medals

You are “Agbara Nwayi”
Beauty with no equal
Goddesses grumble and drawl
Envious of your exalt
But I cant help it
To theirs…
I prefer your feet
I love the shape of it
You are the last Amazon
I swear it!

The last time rain fell on you
Your silky clothes stuck like glue
I saw the full shape of you
Your twin volcanic cones
Towards me, dangle and beckons
You saw me. We saw us
You knew, you made me hot
You followed my eyes,
It rested on your honey pot
Your land of no return
Giving me a hard on
You looked up and smiled
I breathe in and died

HIS WEALTH 1

HIS WEALTH

He was renowned for farming
ploughing lands as large as atlantic
but his harvests he keeps beyond the sea
beyond the sea all he got

Down here, his roof leaks
his town roads untared
they make use of his wealth
to paint their town more white

he thinks his wealth is safe
but the value they use
promising him security and secrecy
to shut their mouth from his people

his pots occupied
by cockroach and rats
as had been aboandoned by his wife
his children grow everyday
developing big belly and head

He goes back to use ibeleju as lamp
but he claims to be rich
his children goes fishing to pay their fees
the school fees he has refused to pay

they built a school for their wards
and beg them to look inside papers
nobody pays a penny
those are the people beyond the sea

his wealth is intact
but had been used
times without number for their anuual budget
they beyond the seas

Worms leak his intestine
and his offsprings from six to two
he took their looks to the people
the people beyond the sea

they gave him a name "Malaria"
Malaria took them all
contented he came
carring no less for his kwashiokor wards

His bicycle like buried iron
yet he appears before his kinsmen
to speak in language that tingles
they smirk at him

though the gods let him live
his expliots and wealth
managed and utilized by the people
the people beyond the sea

he claims to be learned
while they have brain washed him
he trusted them
and left our heritage

the gods forbide
our black heritage
that our fathers died to protect
like our brotherly love

Our heritage
that forbade greed
he forgot our maxim
that of Unison

him that our fathers gave the "Ofor"
the Ofor that represents power
power to protect our interest
our black interest

the gods bear us witness
witness of our unquenched suffering
starving in front of plenty
plenty at the so called bank

banks beyond the sea banks
the name for their civilised theft
theft because they use the value
the value of your wealth
to reinforce themselve

the Ofor has fallen
from his hands
the gods has departed from him
but he will not believe

our chambers now lagoons
lagoons from the light shawers
our tables now canoes
and soup spoons paddle

mosquitoes now our pets
nursing our children
our working age amended
starting from 6 to sleep

our heads now bald
not from age
but from fetching water
water from the eden

tightrope typography;
the arbitrary doyens of
fallacious complexion…

Are You

In this life of atmosphere and audacity there is indeed much that is neede for the mind"s stability, the body"s satisfaction and finally the soul"s sanctuary. So in turn the question exists, a question that must be asked...Are You?
Indefinately I shall live amongst the skies of lonely interior, Are You the cloud to comfort me? If life should become a desert of desperation and dehydration, Are You my life saving drop of rain water? If the dark shall arise and in the midst of such I have become lost in the fogs influence, Are You my guiding light? entrapped in a room of disstraction surrounded by walls that promote defeat, Are You my butterfly of wisdom and strategy? Are You the beholder of a kiss to liven my tase buds when they have gone bland? The one who within the eye"s mirror can be seen the image of life and love forever, that same one whos touch of satin inspires tears of fulfillment. Are You thy specific angel with un-matched beauty along with a scent that grants fantasies? Causing an addiction of who you are and all that is of you, the rose with the thorn that pricks allowing the beautiful sensation of heart felt pain. Are You she who"s words enlighten the spirit? Possesor of moves to ignite the fire within me, giving me a sensational overdose. At last the most important question that bounds my life... Are You my wife?
IN truth I admit, a simple kiss upon your breast and I may truly live forever !

sept 11 and heaven

as we commemorate the 10th anniversary of a day we'll always remember
over three thousand lives taken on the eleventh day of September
but for the grace of God it might have been me
to have been one of those lives taken away in the midst of that tragedy

life is a series of sequences and events that take place
and I know that as a child of Christ I'm living under His grace
at the time I had a job that was located in tower seven
but on that day I was in Brooklyn or I might have died and gone to heaven
safe in the borough of Kings working at the primary election polls
far away from the events that on New York took such a toll
the nation and the world were shook to their foundations
that anyone would dare to strike at the very heart of our nation
two airliners purposely driven into the World Trade Center Twin Towers
an attack on American soil in the early morning hours

and as I sit in church today on our annual Homecoming day
I reflect on the fact that many will never come home again
mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, co-workers, family and friends
and while I sit in this anointed pew
the awesomeness of the glory of God in me has been renewed
a day to remember as we share the communion of our Lord Christ
a day to also remember a day that forever changed our lives

Unwelcomed Houseguest

I stayed at your house, I thought would be fine
I thought I'd be welcomed caused you stayed at mine
I cleaned your house, moped your floors to
You made me feel like mud on the bottom of your shoe

At my house you were lazy thought you were a queen
but I didn't complain, didn't want to be mean
At my house you were welcomed to do as you pleased
even gave you a key made you feel at ease

At your house I was snubbed, made to feel like a fool
God forbid I'd talk too loud, or break some other rule
You were a stranger to me yet, I took you in, I thought
we were closer, even considered you a friend

But you turned on me, forgot the things I'd done
considered you part of the family for the sake of my son
But turns out you were only a disappointment at best
thought you were kinda special, sorry, but you failed the test

I guess it brought you pleasure to treat me like you did
you had no respect for me, you acted like a kid
It's kinda sad things turned out this way, it didn't
have to be
All it took was a softer heart, but you wasted time hating me
I hope to never be your houseguest again, and I hope
you're never mine
because never laying eyes on you again, would suit me just
fine.

Prayer To My Self

Walking away might be the most hardest things for a man to do, you cant even imagine what that feeling can do to you. Falling flat on your face would be better than to look shameful, even walking around naked around the streets would be cool. But like any story in life goes, there is always that one person that will help you get back on your feet and walk again. No matter how much you fall, no matter how much you stumble upon a struggle, that person will be there with you till the end. Give love and thanks to this person who never leaves your side and helps you put a smile on your face everyday. When the day comes to an end and you know that the person has to go, all you can wish is for your special person to stay. Mine has walked away on me, I was so blind that i couldn't see. She wanted everything for her self, for me to change and be what she wanted me to be, but i had to let her go and never see this person again, cause it would only be worse in the end. Writing this is more painful than getting your body tattooed, writing this is more painful than getting over screwed. Writing this is more painful than words, writing this is more painful than razor sharp swords. No matter how much you try to let it out it just wouldn't come out, the pain is way to deep and its almost like its tattooed on your bodies gout. haven't i been hurt enough in this world, i just don't understand why i am being treated like this, is it cause i am better than you and have nothing to look forward too but my blue and black handkerchief? The cut was way to deep my dear, you just cant imagine, i have been cut and bruised for the last time, i can promise you that. No one will ever touch this body or hurt this soul ever again, if you wish to try so, go ahead and check it, but before that go ahead and get yourself a casket.

Who am I to you JCO

When you hear the sound of my voice,
does it make you happy inside
Or does it even phase past those blue eyes?
When you are standing there trying to focus on the task at hand
Does the taste of my kiss cloud your judgement?
Or do you think of my lips at all?
When you hear another speak my name
Does your pulse race and hand shake?
Or pretend we've never met?
When you see me smile at you
Does everything in the world disappear?
Or do I even make that moment special?
When you reach for the phone
is it my name you call out to?
Or do you remember my number at all?
When you see your future
am i standing beside you?
Or have I already disappeared?

The messenger

Like sleep thou took him
to journey the part of others
in unison and intimation
thou traveler , go tell them

Tell the fallen Majors
that we a'e losing
the battle they started
that our soldiers only drink and sleep

tell them
that they kill those
those they are to protect
making us weaker and losers

except they realise, their duties
We must be fugitives

	II
The gunpowder we make
yet we carry unloaded guns

tell them
that our soldiers refuse
to recruit trained men
warriors of our clan

Tell them
that our soldiers now reap
what we sowed in unison
that they have forgotten

The sacrifice of our coups
the coups that was to
Eswama the clan
In order to edenise our clan

An Ode to Rick

A LIFE WAS LOST TOO SOON
WHY HE THOUGHT LIFE WASN'T WORTH IT
I DON'T KNOW IT COULD HAVE BEEN MANY THINGS
BUT NOW SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO SUFFER

NO ONE CAN TAKE AWAY
 THE PAIN OF LOSING
YOUR FIRST BORN SON OR
YOUR ONLY BROTHER
THERE IS AN EMPTY VOID
IN THEIR HEARTS
THAT CAN NEVER BE FILLED

THE ONLY THING LEFT TO DO
IS REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES
THAT YOU USED TO SHARE
AND ALL THE SILLY THINGS HE DID
I DIDN'T KNOW HIM VERY WELL
BUT HIS SISTER HAS TOLD ME
SOME PRETTY FUNNY STORIES

LET'S CARRY HIS SPIRIT ON IN OUR HEARTS
AND LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST FOR HIM
HE IS NOW IN A BETTER PLACE
WATCHING OVER US
AND SOMEDAY WE WILL MEET WITH HIM AGAIN
GOOD-BYE AND REST IN PEACE, RICK

The Unknown Poet n' the Lover with an Immortal Heart (Part 1)

On a windswept hill crest by the sea there is a lonely ancient sentient tree that seems so
figuratively familiar to me, I wonder why this can be n’ who my heart longs for when
I’m here n’ why love gives no guarantee…
Though I visit here frequently, today I was summoned, beckoned by the branches of this
solitary tree swaying in the breeze, to this charming yet purgatorial space...

I knelt down upon this strange magical place n' was carried away as my fingers traced an
owl’s feather to my face n’ wondered why I loved n’ despised this fateful place…
My body shivered, internally tingling n’ with grace, some kind of enlightened knowing I could
not erase n' like the sentient tree that cradles you within, I sensed your ethereal embrace…

Silence ends where you begin, I heard the likes of Aeolian sing “Oh my Immortal” n’ your
poetic voice disturbed the chaos in the winds of my mind n’ there within returned the
memory of your handsome androgynous face…
I said… “Come let my hands play upon your skin” n with my thoughts gathering to replay a
scene across time of broken hearts n’ love’s abandoning reflected in the fire of your eyes n’
a touch of a feather upon my face…

I’ll never know your name or how many tears were cried in the oceanic depths of your
pleasure n’ pain, though the salt I can taste in the tempest of this darkening day as the wind
heralds your scent n’ presence unto me…
I’ll never know all who walked hand in hand here before me or where each discarded shell
has been as the seasons flew away, yet I now know why a thousand Halloweens were your
destiny n’ you summoned me to transcend my mortality n’ the meaning of silent words at
play this day…

Our ancient bodies lay together here beyond mortal touch, though in my present existence I
no longer recall our names, they are lost in my many lifetimes yet kept in the Goddess’s
providence…
Though no longer you feel my touch or pleasure n’ pain I'll plant a flower as a blessing on
top of our grave, above the waves, where your soul is a slave to this sentient tree cradling
your ashes n’ bones returned to dust…

A poem for the 'beautiful builder' at the the Ricoh arena

She looked really impressive
Small; and full of pride
A nonchalant gait, but sophisticate
Her work mates by her side.

It felt like she'd built it all herself
Her hard hat firmly in place
With a confident stare in the medias glare
an emancipated face.

I wanted to get to know her
I wanted to shake her hand
I wanted to say in my own private way
'Will you take me to my stand ?'

But as the sun shone through the vomitary
something made me upset
Her charms I decline
She'll never be mine
She was smoking a cigarette !

Nigerian Africa

From Wisconsin the American walked the streets of Lagos
To black Africa welcome! To the pearly continent
Cradle of creation, primordial of civilizations
To the thickest jungles, haven of gigantic elephants
Den of fiercest lions and colourful gazelles
Ours is the blazing sun, golden in the horizon
Rains in seasons in the rainforest
Wildest plantations, lush vegetations

The mighty oaks, cedars, and irokos
Our is the heights, the pinnacles
Kilimanjaro, a supral-archectrural piece
Olumo, a refuge, a fortess and a stronghold
The towering Zuma rocks, Idanre hills, and the Mambilia plateau

Ours is the depth, the length
The Nile, the Niger, aquatic splendour
The riches of the earth depth, oil diamond and gold

To us belong the ageless heritages, a living culture
The talking drums, the festivals and the dances
Ours are fashion and style, regal and noble,
Batik, adire, kente, Ankara and aso-oke
And flowing African milk, palmwine, burukutu
Ogogoro, kunnu, fura de nunu.

And to us the millennium bestowed
Welcome to Africa, the motherland Nigeria.

A SOMALIAN CHILD

Behold there, a Somalian child is standing upon dry hard rocks.
Its two eyes glitter like a rough diamond, parched, bleak and dark.
Its belly exhibits the fragile bony ribs and silently mocks
The phony Art that seeks phony beauty even in wounded scar-mark.

The orphan boy was trying to scream but no voice came out
From its barren vocal cord, empty stomach and shrinking lung.
Its salty tears have dried out too like parched petals of a dead sprout.
Its face looked blue and pale as if it were serpent-stung.

This child, like all newborns here, was born with a constant Curse
Of utmost struggling life until it moves, stares, breathes no more.
Even showers upon the drought-infested land cannot reimburse
The untold tales of such millions of children, the Pain-store.

Two immobile figures of dead parents laid on dusty ground
And blurred cries of the child melted in heat of wind there.
No humans were there to hear except vultures that hovered around
The dead bodies and waited until death of the tiny figure.

Nostalgia

Stillness filled the place
Only the muted shuffle of my slippers
interupted the heavy silence.
The sights, the sounds and the home
battered at my memory, echoed in my mind.
Their faces and smiles
reflected in the mirror of my brain.
As I stood at the window,
the sight of the pastel blooming flower
in the park made me open the pane.
I heard chirping birds-
that pleasantly stilled my inner turmoil
And disrupted the silence.
An urge hit me to go out
And absorb the blessings that were beginning
to melt my loneliness...
I missed my family back home.
Indeed, there's no place like home.

Dear Mom(A sons goodbye)

                                                 Life is delicate like
a rose on a cool fall
                                               morning then without
                                               warning life is taken away.

I cry not for the rose who's
petals lay scattered at me feet
but for everything else that has
                                               perished..

I cry for the leaves who's leaves crush
like power in my hand and for the flowers
                                              which droop and sag...

A mother who left this world too
soon and for her pain in till death finely
                                              came...

The world is a lot different place
with you gone... But a son has to
move on he can't keep thinking
                                               something wrong...

He can't keep being sad and blue
don't worry I'll always love you... I'll never
forget the love we shared and how much
                                              you cared... I love you

Freckled Palms

Long dangly fingers shake like a leaf in the wind.
They have the delicacy of a flower,
but show the strength of a lion.
When she touches and explores new land
uncertainty runs through the veins in her hand.
Read her palm;
foresee a long life.
Freckled skin is far from calm.
These hands will always work to please.

Ode to a Bus Boy

He busses tables at the local coffee shop
where midnight poets pour there heart
out to the crowd of starved souls.
Hypnotizing them into metaphors and similies
and city singers cling to their
microphones calling out to the world
putting them in a trance between each verse.
A young woman enters the cafe
for her mid evening cup of tea.
Squeezing through the tiny spaces
between tables, slidding past the audience.
Finding her seat at the back of the house solitary.
The bus boy taking orders and watching
like a raven on the hunt.
Spiralling around tables and twisting through crowds.
His smooth movements like
an art for all to see.
He always watched her, but she never saw.
Every silent shudder,
quiet quirk and every other gesture.
She was a Goddess, something pure.
Like the fresh spring raindrops that
small children catch on their tongues,or
brisk morning air inhaled over a cup of coffee.
She smelled of the sunsets and lillies.
But it was pointless to him,
when would he ever get his chance
to infuse his senses
with the fragrance.
She an upper class American and him
well, he's a bus boy that was invisble to her,
below her social status, just plain out of her league

Ode to a Virgo Mom on the Occasion of Her Birthday

Grace under pressure
Unflappable class
Overtones of elegance
Strength of brass.

Tending splendid gardens
Where laughter and fun
Sprout as if native
In the warmth of her sun.

Incensed by thoughtless actions
Yet steady in her mood
Mixing sweet persuasion
With wisdom for food.

A Virgo mom’s a blessing
For one raised in her nest
So just today this Taurus says
That Virgo is the best!

The Toll of AID's

Eighteen years ago,
I was sent home to die.
No tears or laughter,
not even a sigh.
I looked within,
to find a tarnished soul.
So I began my journey,
a high price was the toll.
As the weight fell from my body,
left with little skin & bones.
The pain I've endured,
I claim as my own.
Threw smile's & laughter,
I've hid my tears.
Never letting anyone,
see my fear.
This terrible virus we know as AID's,
has tried so hard to show me my grave.
The hell I have lived,
has brought joy to my soul.
Paying the price has helped me grow old.
For threw the hurt and the sorrow I have seen.
New life was born,
for my eyes they have seen.
Some days I forget just how sick I have been,
then the daily rituals of pills I begin.
Feel sorry for me not,
because I don't for myself.
Life is a journey, full of much wealth.
Paid not in coin or dollars you see,
but how gracious you walk it with bended knee.
My journey not over,
not knowing where I'll go.
I continue to live,
and pay the toll.
No wealth I have, just a smile I give.
This is what helps me, from day to day live.
Be happy in life,
no matter your fate.
Live life to the fullest,
before it's to late.

Life at a Glance

There are so many ways to say I Love You, however it seems more likely for
people to say
the hurtful words I Hate You.

For so many things to be thankful, still there’s so many
times we may appear ungrateful
Appreciate what’s been given, evolve in a life worth living.
Overcome struggles be
focused continue to stay driven

Do not settle for good enough. Be determined and go through the times of both
the good
and the rough. There’s no reason to be surprised know one ever said that Life
wasn’t tough
Anyone can achieve their dreams at the highest measure. It’s just a matter of
how hard
you work at it even if your starting at the bottom from there things can only get
better
Weather the storms throw your burdens upon God he will never steer you wrong.
He’ll
never give you more than you can handle. If it seems overwhelming at times then
God must
know that your strong. Life decisions are split into two parts there should be no
gray
areas. It’s either this is right or this is wrong
Remember your not benefiting anyone by hiding you emotions in the dark. You’ll
be
hurting yourself eventually it will weigh heavy on your heart. In the long run it will
end up tearing you apart
To be in love can make a world of difference it will change your daily routines
Everyday that passes by you won’t have the mind frame of It’s all about Me
Relationships built around trust are strong. Relationships built around deception
hardly
ever last long. Commitment is the key not only with your love but in friendships as
well
as with your family
People will come in your life people will go. Where you will be in 10 years
knowone
really knows. Life’s about the unexpected the passer-by’s the up’s and downs
the good
the bad the times we laugh along with the times we cry. The questions the
answers the
times we ask why? The yes’s the no’s the rejections the goals. The beauty the
disappointments the high’s and the lows. The losses the gains the continuous
cycle of
change
Life is what you make it out to be Do for others as you would want done for
yourself
Don’t involve yourself in life’s mysteries Each person decides their own destiny
and
have written their own history
Cause and effect is the name of the game. You get what you’ve given therefore
you only
have yourself to blame
Your life’s a novel made of many characters plots climaxes and themes Don’t
miss
opportunities don’t ever give up on your dreams Continue to live life and be
happy
because life isn’t as bad as it sometimes may seem

Ode To Innocence

Of heavens and glories past stories were told
Of heroes and knights fairy tales and dreams were made
With delight and pure passions strings of gold and silver were weaved
Into thoughts of beauty much too great
In enchanted palaces over pearl filled seas
We prayed to live out the glory of our dreams
Though we were once kids to whom the stories were told
We are now old and towards the same stories we grew cold
Blind to the fairies in the tales our eyes used to see
And to the beauty of grace we used to seize
We helplessly lay caught in the web of life as it takes place
Grieving we wonder when did our sweet innocence fade away?
But then with hope at night when lights are turned down low
We reminisce how we once were innocent a lifetime ago

Ode to Anine

The angels smiled the day you were born ,
To your mother Janne and your father Shawn.
Everyone's dreams came true
And that Anine was because of you.

On the 23rd. of October you entered the world,
A momentous ocassion more priceless than gold.
Your ruby red cheeks , that cute little mouth,
That is really what life is about.

Those almond shaped eyes that cute button nose,
A combination of both parents I suppose.
You're truly a treasure and mummy's pearl
You're also daddy's adorable baby girl.
Big brother Henrik will protect you from harm
When he holds you tenderly in his arms.

Two loving hearts coming together
You really are birds of a feather.
You are the proof that true love reigns supreme,
By the timely arrival of this tiny human being.

Ode to Bobby Joe

There once was a man named Bobby Joe
From a small town in New Mexico
Always wearing pointed toed cowboy boots
With a three piece polyester business suit

Bobby Joe stood about six foot four
Was handsome and sun-tanned dark
All the women fell in love at first sight
And were left with a broken heart

Bobby Joe was smart and serious
Had a fight to pick with big business
Said they were ruining Indian land
With big oil rigs digging in the sand

The Harvard lawyers talked in corporate-speak
To the paid for judges to whom they did entreat
After pleading their case for twenty-four hours long
Bobby Joe simply said, “What you’re doing is wrong”

“You’re on Indian lands under a made-up law
Leaving nothing behind but an ugly scar
Lining your pockets with profits never higher
You say all is fair and I say you’re a liar”

Bobby Joe knew it was a case he couldn’t win
But he also knew he had to try
No one would fight for the poor Indian
No one could hear the Great Spirit cry

While in court he unveiled all their lies
Then at night he would sleep with their wives
He was losing his case on legal terms
But news reports made executives squirm

When they found Bobby Joe full of bullet holes
Suspects, they had an awful lot
By a jealous husband or a forlorn wife
Or an executive hit man he was shot

The case was closed with no arrests made
Everyone was glad that he was gone
American greed won again that day
Writing a tragic end to this hero's song

If only she could see

She's constantly a dreamer,
Fantasy is where she lives,
Reality is non existant to her,
If only she could see.
She only cares about superficial things,
Popularity is her sport,
Boyfriends are the cheerleaders,
If only she could see.
Her mind is put to waste,
A head as empty as a flower pot,
Education is lost on her,
If only she could see.
She makes fun of the "weirdos",
She cannot stand the "geeks",
But those "geeks" are worth knowing,
If only she could see.
The world is 3-D,
It has depth underneath,
There is beauty under the surface,
If only she could see.
Beauty is not just skin deep,
It runss all the way through,
It's not just looks that matter,
It's how you think and see.

Politics And Politicians

The good is evil and the evil is good;
The omen is clear, yet,no one reads,
The signal is up, still no one heeds,
There is but one use of power,
It is to save people,
But all we hear of power is trouble,
Everyone wants to get and use it,
They want to gain popularity,
Winning elections a neccesity,
Campaigns all exaggerations,
Their evil deeds no explanation,
Well-wishers they are yet to woo,
Birds chatter where they woo,
Birds chatter where they coo,
The desire to be famous is an attempt,
Forgetting that familiarity breeds contempt;
Speeches are delivered in lying tongues,
Manifestoes in dying souls,
People are suffering,children are dying,
Still,they're obstinate and blind,
Passing frrom deception to deception,
And to final illusion,
Host in the wonder of their own greatness.

Suzy,a pure BRIGHT and DELIGHT

I thought SUZY was so bright
Tendered hair and a smile delight
Created her RAINBOW to let the world know
only 4 inches small but her personality is quite tall
The Beauty is not so much on the outside but within
Never cared to swear or sex,she was true without
                                 Vanity or Sin
No one but I would offer to carry her books to school
And in turn, said that I was more than a simple fool
A strange inkling that occurs in my brain
LET'S GO TO SCOTLAND,WE CAN TAKE THE 4:00 TRAIN
to escape the taunts and mockery jibe
Here's to you,Suzy..and a sweetness that you try not to hide

My only friend.

My only friend.
All I have is my Music.
I seek shelter in the comfort of "Her" arms.
I find a delightful warmth in the smile only she can bring to my life
even when my mood is upmost defiant.

She is my mother and I a small child.
Eager , to hear her speak , as only she can
soothing my soul on a fidget morning.
She puts me to sleep in the evening ,
She is inside of me
Dwelling in the depths of my soul
eager , at times she longs to burst from the depths of my heart
She pleases me, and teases me.
Nurses me back to health in my times of weakness.

I am a child of Music, and I am meant to share "Her"
with the world.
She is the Pilate to my soul
I must spread my winds, and fly.

My Guardian Angels

Part I
Oh Mother,
Do not walk away,
I would do anything to make you stay,

I promise I will do my bed,
I promise I will never lie,
Mother, not a tear I will make you shed,
I promise I will never let you cry,

You are all that I live for,
I will give you all you need and more,
Heaven is under your feet,
Your image is so sweet,

We may fuss and fight, but when you smile,
It makes the struggle worthwhile,
Mother, you are a soul made of perfection,
I am living due to your protection,
My entity is a reflection,
Of you, I want you to be proud of me, for I fear your rejection,

You are my earth,
You loved me for fourteen years, and nine months before birth,
I grew up in you,
I lived life with you,

Your heart shines down on me like the sun,
You cannot be compared to anyone,
You are a seraph,
I feel emotionally painful when I look at your photograph,

Oh Mother,
Do not walk away,
I would do anything to make you stay...

Part II
Oh Father
Do not walk away,
I would do anything to make you stay,

Your wise words dwell in my young soul,
Your presence makes me whole,
You make me laugh with all the clowning that you do,
I miss you more and more everyday, you haven't got a clue,

An eternal life of bliss with you I am living in now,
I always come crawling back to you somehow,
You are always saving me from myself; you catch me when I fall,
Father, you are the only one who really knew me at all,

I can vividly remember,
One chilly night in December,
You held me close, and I felt your pure heart beat,
That icy bitterness within me you did defeat,

One day you shall open your beautiful big brown eyes,
And find that I have raised your name to the seventh sky,
I promise you Father, I will forever be your ally,
And make you so proud, you will want to cry,

Oh Father
Do not walk away,
I would do anything to make you stay…

Away From Home, But on My Way Home

I am on a journey
I have been for quite awhile
I know not how much further I must go

But I know the destination;
it is to be enriched by every life I meet on the way
and to enrich every life that grace mine on the way

So I must stop,
to smell every rose,
to cheer every heart

Though the way may be fraught
with fog and tempest,
I have no fear and I am not lost
I still remember the way home
and I am fond of home
It is a place of eternal life
It is a house of endless love,
a house of peace,
a house of joy

In my home,
there's always laughter,
hearts never break,
smiles never fade,
spirit and flesh never frail
fear is never around,
friends never leave,
loved ones never die,
no sad farewells there

I will go home,
when my journey comes to its end
To my father’s house will I go
To the house of endless love, peace, and joy,
will I return

Into the waiting loving arms of my father;
into the warm happy embrace of friends and loved ones,
who had been on the journey and gone home before me,
eagerly awaiting my return

To my home, to my father’s house,
of endless love, peace, and joy,
will I return

The day of my return, I know not,
but when it comes, I will know,
for my father will call me home,
When he calls, I will hear
I will answer his call
I will run to my father
I will be home

(Dedicated to Merl Butler)

My Idealism(or so I think)

I got my idealism Follies
From our Mass Media that
seeks to show the ultra-modern
extravagances of today's super hip society

Too much Politics that is overtly fused
into my dimming Brain
Not interested in fighting the tide
There is nowhere to turn
Nor a sanctuary for myself to hide away

Dreams were simpler in my day
Let the Hair hange down and
say THE HELL WITH YOU
to the wiser but Elder generation in our times

It is not so easy now
A few years back
I have lost the angst
The youthful rage
This gap is becoming ever quite small
Turn to the children,
let them have it for now

The older we become
it is inevitably for certain
where to eventually travel
Beyond this frame of sphere

To believe in our culture's turmultuous lyrics
Put down the parents so we could party all the way
Jesus is a gentle man and a woman
They are not,however..an untidy rock band, looking for the gold

Some times,
When or wherever I compose my poetry
Thoughts will linger on the meaning meant for us all
Shocking realization to notice
We are adults now
in a world where the controls are getting slightly out of hand
The time is now to straighten out this quandry
Clean up our room
Get rid of our dirty laundry

Ode to an Occasion

On this morn of this day
Though we may be far away
A thought travels across these seas
Carried upon a summer breeze

It sings to the birds and angels above
As it takes the form of an ‘immaculate’ dove

Fast and swift the wind bears it
To a place with reminiscence lit

It lands in the hands of an angel borne
Far from her home yet not forlorn

She unfolds a note from off its wings
And reads the news that it now brings:

Happy Birthday My Dearest Mandy.

Casket

I will cry a thousand years.
Trying to wash away the hurt I feel.
Wearing a mask to conceal.
While I walk amongst all of you
Doing what should be right.
For me there's no tunnel of light.
Just the black,
from my eyes shut tight.
A little is much to much.
Shivering from the touch
That I've longed for all my life.
There's very little you can do.
But, I ask it of you
Light a candle.
Say a prayer.
When you leave,
close the lid on my casket

Thou not from Israel
yet Israel like
to sell our heads
in the name of yahoo

To say I am from this clan
is like to say I am leprous
in Elisa’s clan
in the sight of macoys

Denying me chapter Iv
of our supreme book
making me more black than I am
lets break their records

Their record of unequalness
For all animals are equal.

Jun

Tales of the scholars speak noble words,
Of the mistress of the earth,
Crying tears on those who implore,
About those who have the gift of birth.
She'll whisper and talk,
With a lonely seduction,
Holding the clouds in her bosom,
Hoping and hugging with her stomach.
She will hope and wish,
When the time it takes,
Walking and talking,
Until her water breaks.

Unbroken

Can you feel them itching
Songs begging to get out
Can see his fingers twitching
Just moving all about

there’s music in him
for that, there is no doubt
rhythm and words just bursting to escape
laughter and the sadness
all his love and eternal heartbreak

so much to write about
it’s way too big to contain
emotions taking over
like colors on display

Can you feel them itching
Songs begging to get out
Can see his fingers twitching
Just moving all about

sending all his wheels a spinning
manic energy takes control
it's creating something magical
as he lets his many talents flow

all the pain and anguish
they paint the pages with his tears
with talk of love and betrayal
of intensity in loss and fears
his depth of hurt, it’ll gut you
bleed you at your core
it’s a wonder he’s still standing
how is it he could take much more

Can you feel them itching
Songs begging to get out
Can see his fingers twitching
Just moving all about

outside his art, you wouldn’t know it
just how his internal scars cry out
but take a look in those clear blue eyes
you’ll find the wisdom and the wear
of one whose lived a consuming life
and known the meaning of despair

been taken to the brink and more
then left just hanging there
had his heart ripped from his chest
leaving his soul stripped bare

Can you feel them itching
Songs begging to get out
Can see his fingers twitching
Just moving all about

but this boy, this guy, this man
is made of more than all that
that of which would do it’s best
to destroy him from the inside out
no this clever one, he won’t be taken down lightly

no, not without a fight he…
he’ll take all the turmoil and the woe
he’ll make the very most of it
use it for his craft, the sadness oh so sad
he twist it into beauty, bends it to his will
and when he’s done and last poems been sung
the tears, your eyes are now filled
for his pain has transformed to such of strength
and beauty, that never can be killed

Bloody Time

Tick – another minute goes by…

Another calendar, another clock…
If I turn off all the noise, I can hear my heart beat…

That old empty sound…
The vast open array of life, seems to creep through my windows and guards my
door…
In visions of yesterday, they came knocking and left a note, we’ll call back, signed,
life…

Tock – It is nothing more than times passage…
It is but another lock that keeps me in this vision…
Separate in the knowledge of action, there is no place to call home…
Driven by the thirst to make the most of this cold place – I curl up in a quiet spot to
view the hands of torment…

Tick – another minute goes by…

An Ode to That Which is Given

I
Moby Dick is a classic, so I've been told
tried to read when was younger, tried to read when more old
chastised my own self severely each time
for not having interest in words so sublime.
II
Billy Budd caught attention
and Kafka might mention
Ayn Rand, Solzhenitsyn
rebellist penchant.
III
Don't care much for jewelry or bright shiny things
phone's likely to voice-mail when it ever rings
keepin' up with the Joneses unappetizing
introversion my given from generating.

Norms cramp my style more often than not
I don't watch tv thus have no clue what's hot
making up words when I need them is fun
inside I try fiercely to douse smoking gun.
IV
A gift this life given
sheer mystery resplendent
with wisdom, compassion and love
From whence came the spark
that lent life to dark?
Within without all the same heartbeat.

Little Girl/ Little Boy

Little girl (Little boy), so small and insecure, whose world has crumbled in, and when it
rains it pours.
Little girl (Little boy), you were never able to bloom, so your world seems so dark, and
full of gloom.
Little girl (Little boy), you've been so hurt and abused, always reaching out for help,
but it always seems you're refused.
Little girl (Little boy), it's all right... Please cry, scream and shout, but don't give
up the fight.
Little girl (Little boy), we're here to help you now. You are ready to live, and we're
going to show you how.
Little girl (Little boy), you should be so proud! You have come out of your shell and have
mingled with the crowd.
Little girl (Little boy), you're doing great, even though there are a lot of unresolved
issues on your plate.
Little girl (Little boy), it's okay, because we're all here to help you get through it,
day by day.
Little girl (Little boy), you are starting to grow, and soon it will be your time to go.
Little girl (Little boy), do not fear, because we'll still always be here.
Little girl (Little boy), you are no more...
Beautiful woman (Handsome man) now, so confident and strong, ready to go begin a new
journey, with our love and support, to guide you along.

Ode the Rain

With out rain what would we do?
What would we drink?
What about food?

Its helps us out
Every year
It grows our cotton
So we have something to wear

With out rain what would we do?
 Would we walk around naked?
 What about you?

King Cobra and I

I startled you as you lay dreaming
With burnished scales and body gleaming
Upon an ochre sunny, sandy bank
Contrasting with your elongated flank

You rose with quick-silvery motion
Without sound or needless commotion
And spread wide your captivating hood
While in awe gazing, mesmerized I stood

You flicked your fork tongue at me testing
Simultaneously threatening and protesting
Swaying to your primeval ancient dance
As I stood rooted in admiring transfixed trance

You tasted once again my human essence
While I in turn took in your luminescence
And then with an imperceptible low hiss
You vanished, leaving me in humbled bliss

Fragrance II - (Continued after Fragrance -I)

A raging sun raised over the sky so bright, kindled upon
The earth desired for thirst, the first ray hold upon,
By the crops reaped over the farm so baked -
Steamed by the nature so distressed,
The flared breeze glowed over the life withheld.
A muted zephyr pass by the morn, betide upon
The daylight so hoped-for, the first drop gushed upon,
By the wind so aroused over the fight against blaze -
Danced by the mizzle so greeted
The sensation of expressions for the moment winded so delighted.
Moistened by the drops fell upon so pleased, retrieve upon
The sowing over the sloughy farm, the last ray hold upon,
By the dismal days of cloudburst -
Streamed over by the ken so roaring,
The time of the year met with the season of showering.

Abased sun faded by the sky so dark, mislaid upon
The sprinkle dripped for reseeding, the first ray hold upon,
By the awning fitted for shelter over the sidewalk –
Drenched by the approach so merciful,
The mournful reek washed over the shore so disgraceful.
An abstract world by the city so ludic, played upon
The time seemed lively, the first dive swam upon,
By the pleasure of life -
Versed by the pleasance so alive,
The sweet flow of liveliness hoped to survive.
Lasted numb behind the clouds the sun once peeped by the drizzle, showed upon
The rays gently breaking up the sky by the colours differentiated, hold upon
By the welcoming of feathered white clouds –
Eased by the greenery so eying
The time of the year met with the season of fall-flowering.

One lonely Little Lady eating her ice cream

Everywhere people there
I stopped to look at an old lady fair
She was only alone
Licking her ice cream from a crunchy sweet cone
Sitting and enjoying her treat
While many a men around sweep their young ladies off their feet
Nobody came to claim her
Just enjoying what she was having
Not bothering to get up from her chair
My eyes wept for her because she had not a gentle man beside her
We all come and go while the rest of her generation starts to slow
Alas,my friend, they are soon forgotten and are cast out to the wild winds
Everytime that I would come to this shopping mall
My eyes would peer at an old mistress small
Not even a small collie or pup for a companion
Just a little lady enjoying her treasured ice cream

sleeping near Shepard
innocent sheep
just living au'natural
without too many promises to keep
The fields are wide and green
with no intrusive strangers or teenagers to be seen
From out of a billion ewe and tup of the world
Only one was created and chosen
A special breed for a troubled creed
This Lamb of God is for all, indeed

Ode Homestead

Visiting with memories
Childhood days, thoughts remembered,
Things of me that used to be.

House that's aged, weathered and grayed -
I feel its splintering pain;
Watching me as we all played.

Elements she held at bay;
Her walls hold cherished secrets;
Creaky floors gave me away.

Love has gone, home lost it's shine.
Here I sit, this last recall,
Earth to earth, dust to dust, pine.

Once I left she lost her spring.
Her heartbeat beat its last breath
No more a home but a thing.

Memories stand strong as she
Reigned her years; everyone's gone
Moving on as it should be.

Thanks to you my ode homestead,
I grew up secure and loved
And trips to the wood shed.

My heartfelt tears have a smile;
Emotions, both joy and sad;
New owners, life's worthwhile.

To my Mom's real Mom

I never knew you, but I have your blood.
Sometimes I wonder, how I'm like you, if it's more ways than one.
And I think to myself, what life would've been like, if you'd kept my mom.
From what I've heard, you were very young, only a couple years older than I am now.
And you made a mistake, but yet, God used it somehow.
So I owe you so much, and still, nothing at all.
And if you hadn't given away my mom, I may not have been here.
So thank you, for choosing life over death.
But God made sure she didn't get left.

FLIGHT OF THE POET

poet in flight
writing for a free airspace
keeping the seatbelt on
closing both of his eyes
to let the poem fly for itself

Every breath that i whisper
a single movement of the pen upon paper
giving takeoff from the runway of ideas and rhymes
no one would know who this poet truly be
he uses a 1000 different names to keep him silent and unknown

During this duration of poetic flight
He will write a sonnet or a narrative some night
to describe the feeling of floating away with the air
there aren't any typos nor mistakes to make the reader even care

Look around you at the space between the pen and the wind
Solly! it is so enticing and enchanted to be a Poet's Romantic
picturing the trees with the alphabet
coloring the sagebrush with just the right felt-tip pen

You,the reader,will notice for a time
the perfect serenity of this fable sublime
There aren't any Dirty words or imagery,my pet
to hover forever, near the 747 jumbo jet
Creating the space
Tracing with each Finger
The Flight of the Poet
whose ode to the old stanza will forevermore linger

Here's to you because you have
taught me..
To arise above the pain that life has
brought me.
If it wasn't for you I would never
know..
When I stood at the cross roads which way
to go.
You taught me to focus, see beyond my
eyes..
Press toward the mark never ever
compromise.
I saluate you 'ole' past, and all I've done
wrong..
Things I can change even the things I can't
atone.
These were the things from which I cried at
night..
Decisions I've made when I chose to call wrong
right.
Here's to you 'ole past' because you have
taught me..
To rise above the pain that life has
brought me.

RAPTURE OF LIGHT

Without your mask, where will you hide?
Inside yourself?
Can you find your way out?
Lost in the dark with only a spark to guide you.
Can you feel me holding my last breath?
I gave up everything to find you.
Where are you now?
I needed you to breath, to live
I thought..
Your light has extinquished itself,
no longer will you hold my dreams.
mind or soul.
For this is where you end, and I begin.

she said if I was ok with it he would be too.Nick came to the door and flexed his muscles
to pull this large woman up,i saw such pride in his moms eyes.my heart sank having to
have to ask him for the help.As my visit continued with his mom in the coffee shop.Nick
must have called 20 times to ask if I needed him.now my eyes filled with pride to know
such a fine young man when so much is wrong with the youth today.God bless America,God

You used to be my idol

Someone asked me about you the other day,
"In the cemetery over there is where he lay."
"A shame" she said, with such dismay,
"he's still the idol of the town today."

He had been my idol once too,
until I found out what he did to you,
that's when we left and no one knew,
they only heard stories that were not true.

I nodded at the lady and smiled back at her,
his memories overwhelmed me, things became a blur,
I hurriedly walked away from her.

You used to be my idol, your betrayal was too great,
My forgiveness too late....

Glistening blonde hair
and a Golden smile
Sweet as a strawberry
Well worth the extra mile

Beautiful as a warm summer's day
Glowing like a shining star
Full of energy
She will go very far

Waiting and wondering
Smiling and enticing
Love of Poetry
Makes her the icing

Lots to do and
Young of life
When all is finished
She will be an exquisite wife

Smart and funny
She could go for
all the money.

Just take your time!

Ode to an Eastern Lady

		1

Behold! that human angel hovering
not in bright skies but on far-distant land
a siren voice, hypnotic, echoing –
desperate singing, sundry songs without demand –

Till comes that calming gentle rest.

Unfettered wings whose feather tips remain
too still until in cauldron stirs the beast
found’ring gales ablast from vicious East
near off rip her appendages with his disdain –

Till comes that zephyr from the West

resounding with his promises, his prayer
that joined would be they both in aether air.

		2

But, lo! Across that mighty depth of sea
where stands that noble knight in disarray
his hand a pen to wield in poetry
an arm to hold a shield from harm to her delay –

Till comes for her he on his steed –

The mighty dragon spewing searing flame
to burn her tender flesh with hateful scorn
repelled she with her wits not words foresworn
an oath to not repeat nor say his hated name –

Till comes the time they both agreed –

resounding with his promises, his prayer
that joined they may be one eternal pair.

		3.

At length their spirits crossed the massive span
that ocean looming far too wide and deep
one lady waiting long,
long waiting longing for her patient man –
her promises, the oath she vowed to keep
for him in loving song.

At last their spirits met in fond embrace
and bodies twisted as a knotted rope
in love together found,

though sight unseen, he never saw her face,
nor did she his except with faith and hope
their love at last be crowned.

		4

The gods looked down upon two distant lands
upon what kept two loves apart
and joined the knight’s and his fair lady’s hands
into one soul, one beating heart
exhaling into each as one communal breath
immortalizing them without eternal death.

Till now, no eyes have seen with certain sight
these loves that burn in morn and evening light.

If

22 years ago when i was 22 and you were 44
could we have had the same dream
                      the same heart
the same feelings on a dance floor

could not Cyrano teach me to score
me,the man in the iron mask
on the other side of the door

could not Shakespere live just once more
and render a sonnet that would open that door

then i would beacon Orpheous to sing
of the love he lost in Hades forever more

it is to hear a song so sweet
               a short verse so compleat
                  with a feeling so neat
that i would sweep you off your feet
then we would dine at loves feast

A TOTAL STRANGER'S ADMIRATION

His legendary name will be immortalized
in America's books of history,
and his bravery and heroism
always remembered by us:
the biggest heart driven
by an immense generosity!

When rushed into the thick smoke,
his searching eyes shone
even brighter than the clear morning;
the danger ahead
could not keep him
from saving people trapped in strairways,
people who wailed and waited
in the tower's darkness!

He left behind an indelible legacy,
to let all see what he truly loved;
to inspire them with motivation
and he never was afraid to show affection,
or his unique side of humanity:
that's what he fervently believed!

John,even this total stranger
proudly calls you by name
for having been so brave;
a mother, a father, a son,a sister or friend
who didn't lose anyone, because of your deed,
remembers you in prayer:
and I, a total stranger,related by blood,
praise you in words that'll never grow old!

John, you may be invisible to all,
but your presence is still felt by us;
your handome sons and lovely wife grieve,
but their grief has turned
into something wonderful:
a duty that has been fulfilled
by your call and sacrifice;
a destiny willed by God!

If everyone judges an individual only
by what one has achieved in a lifetime:
you were one of the truest heroes of our time,
who has left his mark on this twentieth century;
and if anyone doubts you did all that,
your devotion can testify and reject that!

“That shark! Haha!
Reminds me of my opponents over the years!”

He kisses the pig!
He poses with the married couple!
He lets no crack appear in his façade
even on the day his lover of nine years
is married in Barbados!
He is impregnable!

Heavenly Music

Found God smoking weed in the back of my car,
Didnt realize the joint would go so far,
He loves to heal your open scars,
The guys a legend,
When he plays the guitar.

Jesus rocks out to Iron Maiden,
But belief in him fades,
As we worship satan,
To heaven or to hell,
For wherever this life will lead,
There'll always be people,
Filled with pity and greed.

A life blinded by hope,
Held together by fear,
Unworthy I sit here,
Abandoned by peers.

An endless story,
Healed by God,
A lifeless future,
Im a pitiful sod.

A taste of the past,
A look at the future,
It happened so fast,
Was a call of nature

Tree Of Love

Love is the most common
Tree of devotion
And its' leaves' are
tumbling down
It steams' from the mirage
And then dispense
At that time of ingestion
Falling,
Forwardly to the ground
And yes, their
Magnificence will be two-fold
To be blessed and
Bestowed upon within the
Govern domain of God
To the dear delight of
The Magisty,
The King

WRITERS POSSESS THAT MAGIC KEY

Writers are like painters
who define the deepest emotions
by reflecting on the human condition;
it's a burst of inspiration
which can't give an explanation,
or expect definite answers!

Writers posses that magic key...
to unlock each forgotten,scorned
or revered feeling and reveal it
with stimulating sentiment;
and if they are hesitant or afraid
to make everything known...
they'll be compared to cowards
who confine, alter or hide, with implicity,
their identity for the fear of prejudice,
or because of a tainted reputation!

Writers possess that magic key,
more than the greatest composers...
creating sumptuous melodies;
our words are immortal as their works,
but they can be read aloud
and be pleasant to the ears:
however tragic, delightful,sad,
funny, or happy they may be!

Writers are able to turn
every story into a memorable one,
those lines into extraordinary verse...
however sober or humorous,
and all songs to withstand time;
we'll be gone, but they will live on!

Writers possess that magic key,
and we are fortunate enough to use it
to our advantage or someone's disadvantage;
we can cause much turmoil, joy,
inspiring awe or unexplainable rage over it...
and effect every heart in innumerable ways!

MAYA INSPIRATION

Inspiration is found in the gift that is given from the soul. It iminates and
resonates as drums beating and nature singing bring forth swift sound
movement and rhythm to the inner being.
It is often initiated silently so attention is not focused on the giver of this gift but its
recipient.
Inspiration is found in the laughter at one's self over the life led and the things left
behind are now quietly amusing. Some small memory now brings a smile as the
thought transpires into imagery and if note worthy, is transformed to prose put
down by pen to paper and if found - even much later - shall bring as much joy to
the reader as it first did to the writer.
Inspiration, like beauty, is too found in the eye in the beholder but not so much for
the joy rested upon the sight of the onlooker but the inward delight brought on
partaking in the wonderful exchange of words held captive in intense
conversation.
Inspiration is found in far off lands where watching growth and development
seem surreal and suspended and yet touches the heart so indepthly that its as if
you too were right there, joined at the hip, at the hand or even more importantly at
the heart.
Inspiration is found in breathtakenly simple parts of humanity that are often
overlooked - until it is too late, often underrated until the world embraces it or
denied until someone takes notice and simply loves it.
Inspiration is found in the faces you seek to love, love to see and leave you
forever seeking more. Both now and tomorrow, inspiration once again has
embraced my heart through the soft spoken of one such inspirational,
phenomenal life.
Inspiration - I give you Maya Angelou.

Friends & Pizza

Tonight we celebrate and toast
the kindness of our loving host
I do not mean to brag or boast
but we’ll enjoy this yummy roast!

The onions sliced, the mushrooms diced
and thrice the crushed red pepper dashed
inside the oven crust does rise
and crisps and browns upon the racks

Half an hour we do laugh
and drink to our shared memories
no one could feel the moments pass
until we heard the timer beep

The air smells warm! The moment’s nigh!
Let’s slice the pizza into pieces!
Together, let’s enjoy the taste of life
until the light within us ceases!

Budding Love

A tenderly caressed love
Blooms as a precious flower
Generous touches, gentle care
Sprinkled by a passionate shower

Grasp it
Cling to it
As if dear life depends

Treasure it
Take care of it
Because the time may come when...

The leaves fall
The blossoms fade
The fragrance a lingering scent

As the miracle of Spring
A prescribed love's bud
Spring anew the memories spent

Speak My Love

Speak to me, my love, of the dawn
With amber rays that grace the fields…
That our concealed dreams, be now revealed
Grace mine ears with sweet praise
Of your honeyed lips…

Oh, speak of love
That adorns the lands,
Tenderly
Take hold of mine hand ~
Flight of doves
Concede... as you take command

‘Til
The whispering winds stand still~
While the blue seas touch the once placid shores…
Of this mine heart, shan’t be bored
As with rendered kiss our love’s fulfilled…

The 6th Child

Woman, she is
A mother of five

Man, he is
A father of five

In a life
Of ups and
Downs
They share-

The four walls
Of loneliness
The woven rug
Of love

And in the throbbing shadows,
Of fear and joy, they are waiting
Eagerly, for me, to come out

An ode to the pain of human hearts

I lay awake in my soft silk
staring into the empty space
that seemed to fill in my pounding heart.
what eyes hath the power
to seep through the brick of skin
and cup my emptiness,
to live, to dwell,
oh, to love forever inside.

what am I, yet a powerless woman
who dream to hold the starry night in her womb,
every star is another world
Lying undiscovered
as pieces of my love hath scattered
to somewhere deep and dark...
lost is it?
oh, what is that unusual rhythm
a flawless rhyme of footsteps
steeping down my path
who dare to walk unaided
with fearless chest and powerless jealousy,
who posses the lost piece of my puzzle
who embark upon this courageous journey
to see me and to hold me
or just greedily want to love me.
what is that apparition my eyes fear to form?
once carved by the mighty lord
had he placed a part of me in it?
for I realize a fulfillment
and a destined power
in him,
I see what I found in myself
Oh, that emptiness!
I had fallen into the drama of the light
where raised curtains of fate beheld
something that I searched
in those bottomless eyes of my stranger
that cried like a raging ocean
holding onto the sandy shores,
I own.

But,
tell me all the gods man had imagined,
tell me all the corals
the hidden rubies and diamonds somewhere deep in the embrace of the soil,
tell me the raining sky,
the power of light,
tell me the eternal flame,
when ,
for that single moment I closed my lids
to shed the endless drops of contentment
when in that split second,
God...
have you taketh away my filled vase
my wholeness
my cherished tale of freedom...
and why if you had known
that this is not reality
but a reflection of someone so pure
never born,
never lived,
you had given me the power to dream
you had given me the secret of joy
and took away
at the smallest ease
the strength of my soul,
My love.

Or had it been a flicker of laughter
to your ears
when I still search for the lost part of me
in the unending branches of the brown trees
and in the bottomless blue ocean
for that intimate stranger...
for his shadow.

What my eyes could never speak

These are the stories,
The poetic verses you could only find
Inside the deepness of my mind.
With this new found life before me
I find comfort with friends,
Closeones and loved ones.
These are the words swimming inside my eyes.
The keys to my heart.
Find me beneath these pages,
And you'll find me.
Living within the deepness of my mind.
Here to smile through every crumpling moment.
Here I am, In all that I am
With these words swimming
Inside my eyes.

My Shyness

in my lonely happiness
my secret joy abounds
it's because i've found away
of keeping you around

even when your far away
i keep you in my mind
your image always with me
i hope till the end of time

hopeing, just wondering,
and pretending the most i suppose
staring out into space
letting my mind compose

hours, seconds, minutes of joy
while idle time is disposed
i'd like to think of different ways
i would like to propose

but i'll always keep you secret
and keep you safe in my mind
because in my mind we're best friends
and we're together all the time

slowly
wearing away
not enough
too much

more to come
seconds turn to minutes
minutes to hours
hours to days
days to weeks
eventually the seconds
you had
are gone
days pass
seconds linger
you rush the time
you hate the wait
soon
you wonder
where is the time
where'd it go
then you
DIE
now
where did the
time
GO?

Ode to Earth

Ode to the earth which we enjoy
Bringing us happiness and sorrow ness
Bringing each other closer and closer to the most closest
Bringing us together for joy

We think we care so much for the earth
Yet we pollute it with carelessness
Cruel humans, cruel polluters
Reduce, reuse, recover, RECYCLE

REDUCE the amount of garbage and make composts
REUSE grocery bags to replace garbage bags
RECOVER energy from wastes that cannot be used for something else
RECYCLE plastics and paper

Together we can make a difference
Together we will help the earth
Together we will fight against polluting
Together we will be Earthkeepers

Wanting to feel love
But only knowing pain
Wanting to cover up
The blood that now stains
Her soul
So lost and out of control
She walks on a path
With no way to go

Can't see straight
With a twisted fate
In search of happiness
Beyond this gate
She walks on ground
Filled with graves
That lie so sound
But have these lives been saved

With each life
And its own energy
Where has it now gone
If energy cannot be
Created or destroyed
How can our souls be deployed
To just God or Satan
As our bodies rot
In the ground we lay in

Ode to a Wife

Wife, you are a quilt
A lasting duvet of my soul
At winter nights
You warmed me when I felt cold
You embraced me when I needed an embrace
You fed me when I came home
From work, late and hungry
Kind-heartedly, you’ve quenched my thirst
Now that you’re worn
Here I am, and, I wanted to say
Let me, your husband, be the quilt
A lasting duvet… for you, and
For my unborn heir

THE GOOD AMONG US

The good among us
will survive us;
the great examples
of warmth and good will...
tomorrow will
inspire others!

Too often we've heard
of meannes, of injustice
and of selfishness;
who's to blame?

Those unjust acts
can't force us to hide
compassion and goodness;
every person who lives and dies
shouldn't suppress them
for the fear of judgment,
because the good among us
is based on love and kindness!

The good among us
is one of the blessings
that God has given us lovingly and freely;
a most precious gift of everlasting beauty!

The good among us
is our guidance...
in a life that can't escape death;
the good among us
is that lighthouse which shines...
when a dark night arrives!

A Painted Prose

Robin,

clings

such a lovely
scene, from painted

reminded me of

a child
holding sweet mama,
‘til he was being

breezed away
into manhood, by the thrilling
wings of her olden days.

Is one that cries in pain
And alone
Even in the light
As it is among others.

To repeat the
Sounding drumbeat.
It is devoid of life
When deplete of love
As that remains
The main ingredient
For a strong
Eternal life.

Humanity began falling, a man came, unknown!
His aspiration beckoned many nation;
Taught the gospel with zest,
Till sun crossed from east to west!

With His gentle touch, the sky silvered;
From bondage of ignorance, we're freed
To receive the right,
Of worshiping God's holiness!

Long gone, but never forgotten
For we deeply feel his presence;
Moving forward in one spirit;
Ours is to share, the blessings, we inherit!

Remember the true messenger;
Follow His great legacy to finish the race;
The Holy Father awaits us, eagerly!
In heaven, where saints reside, peacefully!

A CITY RISING FROM THE ASHES

They intentionally wounded
the heart of this spectacular city:
unique,rich and pretty;
a rare jewel to never be possessed
by envious eyes wishing to destroy
its beauty by ways of atrocity...

A city rising from the ashes of pain
is more powerful than the one
they have tried to devastate ;
our people have acted and spoken,
and their courageous hearts have been
lifted by a godly faith...

Let no one stand in the victor's way,
because this horrendous tragedy
has taught us to be closer than ever:
to watch the enemy in dismay;
this great nation will survive
to tell all generations to come:
the day the towers came down,
killing thousands in such a little time...

A city rising from the ashes
will be even more beautiful
in the people's eyes;
even though the losses are many
and tears turn into painful memories:
it will never be erased
from hearts and minds!
Envision what tomorrow
can do for the strides of today!

An Ode to the Mundane

I look towards a summers day,
And see it in an awkward way.
Not real, it fancies to impress,
But leaves you with an emptiness.
Not so Mundane, it aims to please,
And tends to fulfill all your needs.
No worrying or need to rush,
It leaves a sort of mindful hush.
To sit and contemplate your fate,
It gives you time to just relate.
Sitting in a world so true,
Not planning the next thing to do.
So stop your running all about,
Mundane will help release all doubt.
Of who you are and why you’re here,
Without exasperating fear.
And in a while you’ll start to show,
The others what it means to Know.
So focus on the little things,
You might just get a pair of wings.

Stop killing each other
We should love each other
We need to wake up and care for each other

We need to take people for who they are
We all need to wake up and believe in each other

We shouldn't hate people cause of there color
We need to wake up and smell the coffee
If people change the world may change

Parents need to be there for there kids cause they need you
We need to stop blaming our pass and move forward
We all need to forgive and forget
We all need to wake up and make a change

We all need to be strong not weak
We all need to stick together like family
People shouldn't judge each other cause of who they are
We all should care for each other not be against each other

We all need to wake up and get along with each other
We all should give to people who are in need
We all should stand up for what we believe in
If we all work together we can change this world.

LAMENTATION FOR ITALY

O adored Italy,this lamentation
for an impossible longing,never repressed,
will echo throughout centuries yet to unfold!
Will I be forgotten for my prediction?

A revocation of tiepid nights,intently
spent staring at the twinkling firmament,
confirmed beliefs which have guided me
in days of bitter regrets and discontent!

America enabled me, to land on its wealthy
and productive soil; and her generosity
spilled over an enormous ocean and sea,
and offered me the infallible promise of security!

Now, like two protective and fearless soldiers,
defending her from intruders and envious alike,
my visible rainbow draws its colorful arch
with foundations resting on each side;
with joy,gratefulness and endless pride,
I owe them both: life, dignity, and happiness!

O adored Italy,this lamentation
springs forth with fervent words of affection;
I regret that my sixsteenth year was
was an unexpected and sorrowful farewell!
O adored Italy,your distant son...
still has that memorable recall
of your motherly tenderness and loveliness,
beside your unchangeable principle of justice!

Servants of God

try not to put any obstacles in anyone's way
as servants of God in everything we do, on it we will pray
patiently endure the hardships, the difficulties and the troubles
to be persecuted in the name of Christ is just a part of the greater struggle
you might have to go through beatings, being robbed or thrown into jail
you might be overworked, starved or go through all types of hell
but by our purity, our knowledge, our wisdom and patient measure
we will have shown ourselves approved to receive God's eternal treasure
with righteousness as our weapon to attack and defend
with the truth in our message and the Holy Spirit as our friend
we will be honored and disgraced
we will be insulted and praised
we will wield the Sword of the Spirit
and in victory our hands will be raised
although we are saddened, we will always be glad
although we seem poor, we are rich in the love for us Jesus had
we seem to have nothing, when in fact we possess everything
for we are the true servants of God, the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings

So passing life,

predicts or fazes not

The Black Breed

I see a people...
a people in whose vein flow
a crimson of stream of noble blood;
whose minds house a vast well of creativity,
fountains of inspiration,tactflness,
unquenchable zest and passion for survival.

A people whose voice thunder emulates;
whose heights the trees envies;
whose color the brightest of lights cannot hide;
whose steps quake the earth;
who farts and clouds gather, rages and mountains erupt.

A people too beautiful to psych,dudes and dames alike;
whose due has the strenght of a legion;
chests,broad enough to house a billboard;
eyes, bright enough to see through the dark.
courageous enough to take a whole city,
and brave enough to woo Her Majesty!

I know this people...
they're the sons and daughters of a kind,
the special specie that spices up creation
designed by nature.
A rare breed,the black breed.
I wish I could be like them.
Maybe I'm like them,maybe I'm them.

The Apology

What would you say
If after this time
You reawakened this day
Long out of reach, your prime?

Would you still ride the horse of your forms
Bequeathed by Poseidon forever to be
Or from your eyes
Would your reality emerge
Amidst this positivist sea?

Would it be theology you adorn
Like most of the lepers strive to see
Would you heal their eyes
With a synthetic judgment
A Kantian reprieve?

Philosophy is deceased
Or so many decree
Encumbered in Zarathustra's sleep
Like Jehovah into its blackened lungs
The breath of life -- could you breathe?

Would you still be the peripatetic mentor
Of Dante's "the master of those that know"
Or would you still wish to be the protege
The protege of he with no letters to show?

Would you defend your apology
Of a traveling heretic
A heretic for corrupting the young
With the idea that politicians and beaurocrats
Must abide by an inviolable ethical form
A form of chivalry this day much unsung.

And so this apology I must afford to you
For allowing the Sophistry
Of your age
To come anew.

Leaders still begin wars
With the flower of youth
Not their own
Petals wilted and crushed
Under the jackboots of those lacking
The concept of God or father.

Fear creates a protean enemy
As sure as the incited mob's voice
You witnessed at the ripe age of twenty-eight
Snatched your second father
And afforded him no easy choice.

Justice is not easy
Your life was about defining
Something this day has been lost
It's essence forgotten, always at a cost.

After this apology
Can we still have a hope
That you could rescue this world
Fill the holes and set it afloat.

After all of the centuries
Some forgotten
Some abhorred
Would you still be able to prove?

That all of human thought and hope
To you is indeed but a footnote?

The Stage

the night is cold and the wind blows high,
clouds are drifting in the moonless sky,
dogs are howling in the midnight hour,
the rich man sleeps by the candle.

the clown is dancing not knowing why
he who laughs is the one who will cry,
the stage is set for all his grief,
his is the night like a thief.

while the beggar shouts for mercy
with voice weak sounding so empty,
the king and queen are happy,
they are amused by the gypsy.

the tearful joker dances and sings,
he who came to entertain the kings;
showing things that he does not feel,
falling down on his knees to kneel.

the young princes shout for more,
unmindful of the hungry poor;
they just laugh and they sigh,
they do not hear the people cry.

Untitled #48 / Til;es of remembrance

Tiles of remembrance of classes
long past, replacing blankness
painted handprints and colors and smiles
spanning the length of the ceiling, forever
reserved for the posterity of wandering eyes.
How glorious the sunset! Our days unforgotten!

TRUE MOTHERS

Have you ever taught that mothers
love their children in the same way?
Have ever you ever understood
that the eyes of true mothers
share in their great joy
and most times cry...
when they make them really proud
of their first victory?

True mothers give more than
their immortal affection...
they open up their big hearts
to those needing strenght:
to help them in that long journey
away from their sight,not their thoughts;
and when they return,
they'll be waiting anxiously!

And if you wonder why you never
see them cry...it's because they withhold
their tears beyond her undetectable fears;
true mothers monitor your steps like God...
'till they're completely sure
you won't bedazzled by failure!

True mothers can't help imagining
what tomorrow will bring to their seed;
and knowing that their mission in life is sacred,
they'll keep that love flowing...to keep us on living!

Love is the glue

Love brings you back
When you fall down
Love brings the colors back
When everything looks grey
Love brings pieces back
When they seem to be totally broken
Love brings souls back
When those souls get stuck
Love brings generosity back
When the world becomes selfish
Love brings the sun back
When the days are dark
Love brings desire back
When your body gets frozen
Love brings the flavor back
When life has no taste
Love brings good sense back
When life doesn't make sense
Love is the glue
When it holds everything back
