Her heartbeat echoes like a love moan in my mind,
summoning centuries of refined romanticism soulfully enshrined,
the contralto of her voice a fillatio upon the cock of my consciousness,
through her eyes I see that mystery is the Mistress of meaning beyond regress,
my manly mouth serenades & suckles the rosy pussy of her prophecy, homage cunnilingus,
revelations irresistible in their heretical invigorations excite our imaginations
as we fornicate a ferocious forsooth soothsaying love's reincarnations,
a vignette of virility forthcoming from fate's far side fortifications
presents a primal promise in paranormal inceptions,
Premonitions primitive in heart heat paint
streak the skin of our desire to design an indigenous heaven,
flesh tones warm fast and feral revealing a vitality of spirituality that tongues detonate,
the Univetse blooms into a Multiverse as she spreads her spell of star spice scintillation
onto my ripened body rendering her rites fertile in rich freight,
within the brain's wildfire I feel her unction,
Becoming the shaman of our secret skin ceremony
I invoke the spirit of solar youth into veinage voracious for passion's patronage,
sanctifying the unifying lust between the bodily and ghostly unlicensed liberty,
shadow temple of temptation gives offering of blood and song from astral page,
death dream extremes fire hot ejaculation of divine vindication into cosmogony
as she and I have won our now with a win over age,
My Love Muse is more than a woman
she is a savage seduction and a sacred sweetness,
a Goddess of her own Cause...a lover known as Poetess,
her name changes from lifetime to lifetime, yet she is always beauty shown -
A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
as the clouds dip into the sea.
A kiss from that rose as the waves fall,
over the beach to a rose kissed me.
A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
as we wrap in lovers embrace.
A kiss from a rose as homeward we go,
to a bed clothed in satin and lace.
A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
with passion and warmth do we grasp.
A kiss from that rose that blossoms and blooms,
my hand in her labour pain clasp.
A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
that wanton and curvy young bride.
A kiss from that rose that huddles our babe,
so loving, in motherly pride.
A kiss from a rose on a sunset night,
without whom I'd not share my life.
A kiss from that rose who selflessly filled,
the place of my darling rose wife!

Poem for a sleeping child
There’s a wish to wander in your cool innocence
and cruise the thoughttides of no
responsibility—so easily you wipe your
shoeless feet on the ever waiting door
mat of socialization. How can I help you keep your
tender "souls" intact—your tread from
wearing thin out of align so as not to
fall flat. Your easy grace put to an
unfair test of ill-will winds blowing
carelessly at your soft back. I long for your sweet
calm at rest so deep so empty filled with
solid happiness—you know you are loved
beyond any measure that’s human or infinite. If
I could walk with you for a moment and peek
quietly at your conscience-----but no-it's yours
and no Dooleys allowed. Forgive me to
want to intrude on your ever pleasant play-would you
share with me like the kernel of rice or
squashed raisin-I might, but only if we all
can go. Keep it hold it for as long as you
can-as it suddenly disappears without a trace
never to be found again lest you become your
own sondaughter and learn to bask on
the outside looking in—---and be content. I
will live to never intrude on your soulspace,
but will always knock first. I am sorry ahead
of time for any pain I cause—for my mat
was torn treaded , muddy and ragged—my
sleep had no wanting witness. But I promise
to watch over you all ways.
Dave Collins collincd. Song, Poem for a sleeping child, by Kevin Ubanks
To myself to I, to God I asked
what nature of sample shall I give,
the tribute must be something, already possessed
and not a thing to be acquired or easily accessed,
what type of treasure, what placid pleasure,
what measure of scintillating success should be expressed,
many feelings, dealings, winnings and blessings I have
like the menificent merchant of an ageless & melancholy market,
however I am disinterested in the buying & selling of impressive items,
something of my core should be present, priceless, respirative,
multitudes give Deity thick thanks in pompous prayers
or grim graveling of worship,
others offer animal immolation or coin from shallow pocket,
as does everyone I experience the panic of pain,
that terrible teacher of no remorse whose curriculum
makes carion of cowards,
but as a student of Life and thus a pupil of pain
I realised that my mind can be a calm cistern,
my heart a coffer of adversity's copious rewards,
the determination is made,
my proudest possession, enlightenment derived from pain,
enchanting and admonishing like the howls hungry beasts,
a gift of character, a jewel of dreams manifest,
God accepted and said,
" Someone, somewhere, somehow is suffering to better feats" -
It takes a man with fiery guts
To stand the heat of the spiteful lots
Of little greats still untamed
And future stars still unnamed.
The sweat never ceased to fall
And the stress really took a toll
But success came out after all
Making the stress worthy of all.
Though no thanks be said or showed
And no hats be tipped or bowed
Always remember you are beloved
By those hearts you ploughed and sowed.
I woke up from the cradles of slumber
My morning eyes opened slowly
My mind frolicked and sang with peace
Remembering your words
So kind, so memorable were they!
So sweet, so genuine are you!
The mere thought of you takes away the assertive blue
It is a wonder I have come across your mind
It is a blessing like no other—a true, treasurable find!
And there are no words that can truly give you the honor you deserve
But take these, please!
And know there is so much more. . .
So much more that I wish to offer you
Your never-ending thoughtfulness and attention
Has filled me with unremitting appreciation
You really are a beautiful light to my world
Cheering my melancholy with joy
I have never found someone quite like you
And that is the beauty of it all
Finding the gold
The sunlight smiling for your marvelous shine
There is just no other like you!
I would never turn my eyes away
There is just no possible way
That is a blessing I count close to the heart
Finding you, such a rare piece!
Finding you in a churning world of excitement and chaos
Finding you with such delight and gratitude
Thank you so much, Duke!
Thank you for being you!
-Dedicated to a very fine poet named Duke Beaufort-
This new born day I celebrate your souls release from guilt n’ captivity since that day you
felt a carnal touch of sin within as your hands played poetically upon the curves of your dead
lover’s silken skin…
I know now you made your way to the top of the rocks to plant a tree to guard this sacred
place where I fell from thee n’ you repeated the poetic chant of love’s abandoning to follow
me into our karmic destiny…
On that fateful day your soul bled away at the top of this crest by a solitary juvenile tree,
your body of words fell to the rocks at the base of this cliff, embroidered into the blood of
The one who would hold a feather to her face on this crest by the sea n’ remember finally
the days gone by of you n’ me, our deaths from love’s abandoning when you my love were
lost to this world n’ me for ten centuries…
I now await destiny as we will love forever more with immortal hearts…
This pain in my heart is out of control,
for life without you has deeply wounded my soul.
Bitter-sweet memories flood my weary brain,
as this heartache and grief drive me insane.
Your part in my life, a blessing I treasure;
and love for my Coyote is far beyond measure.
You are at peace and suffer no pain.
This, alone, be my comfort to keep me half sane.
The words you share, they touch the heart
Coming from yours then, a natural thing
The thoughts, the care, the love you impart
Make me just read so, again and again
I take each write, so penned by you all
Take them, consume them, live them, I do
Within the words I become enthralled
To live vicariously, making all true
Sometimes I read them more than one time
For the words are so lovely, I simply must
I fall in love with the stories and rhyme
I swim in the ink, of this you can trust
I enjoy all the words to get lost in the read
Let the poet’s ink write, the poet’s heart bleed
Dedicated to every young man bestowed the honor of wearing
the glorious Oklahoma Sooners' Crimson & Cream
Over sixty years, boy and man, I have been a Sooners fan;
And always hoped to be among the truest in the stands.
And while I don’t remember all the Players’ names,
They’re my Heroes, each and every one, because they play the game.
When they’re on the field of battle, my Sooners surely give their all;
And when they’re on the sidelines, just waiting for a Coach’s call;
Visions of Glory must be dancing in their heads;
The Glory of the moment and our cheers, the Glory of playing for
the mighty Big Red.
And for those Sooners who rarely played, whose names were
known only by a few,
Make no mistake my friend, each of them is my Hero too.
Like Soldiers waiting in the ranks, but never called to fight,
They ‘re ready and they’re willing, their spirit and their sacrifice
add to Big Red’s might.
I stand in awe of Sooner Magic. No, I never doubt it.
My Sooners could have never won so many Championships without it.
But don’t misunderstand when I say Sooner Magic won those games;
It was Sooners players who, once again, rose to the occasion and
glorified the name.
Sixty years of college football and my Sooners have won the most.
Their fierce pride and performance inspire this simple toast:
“My Sooners Team goes on and on, different faces, different names;
But my Heroes, Each and Every one, for win or lose…
They play the game.
You have my soul, but you have your fate
Whatever your words, I’m willing to take
You have my word; I’ll give you my breath
It’s like a chain that would never be break
You are my love with all my heart,
I’ll fight for you with all my might.
And in the way, you admire your goals,
You hold my hands, but not so close.
As you go to your chosen path,
I’ll accept the fact that we will be apart.
In the dark side, I leave behind
Within my faith, that you’ll arise
Please don’t look back, coz I’m fighting still
I’m hurting so much! Don’t want to have you near
I accept my fate for what it does,
I’m bleeding so much, do you know for whom it was?
You reach your goals, as you want to have,
Would you remind the man that gave what he had?
As you reach the stars, and be the one
Be a sun that shines its own.
After the rain, the rainbow comes,
Like dark in the moon, when the light flash
A glimpse from you at least a short
For then I knew my pain is worth.
I see the whispers of a new day upon the dew laden ground
I must awaken my soul to the new start that I have found
Way beyond the valley floor I seek a new day
I travel lightly as I wander and begin to pray
Sketched among the larkspur and daffodils I find solace
I wander to an ageless maple tree and find quiet justice
Yonder above a time worn cliff I see magic brewing
An eagle and its young are beginning breakfast chewing
Wandering along I see Gods' magic paintbrush everywhere
Tokens of a new beautiful day is upon me to share
I kindle my restless heart with a truth in knowing
That I have found my savior at what He is showing
When I am gone
For the good times we had
The moments that I was able
To make you happy,
even if for very, a very short time
I would, if I could make those moments sublime
When you forget about me
I shall never be angry, I will never envy
For you shall always remain
Leave me the hell alone she cries
Inside her aching head
I've had much more than I can take
Sometimes I feel I'm dead
Oh shepherd don't your flock forsake
Alone on Calvarys Hill
How much can a body take
When your mind has had its fill
A light so bright and hopeful
A picture perfect birth
A world of wonder, laid before
This seedling of the earth
To nurture's but a wistful dream
A momentary lapse
A father wrapped up in himself
A mom lost in her past
Can harm I do while wishing
The Angels gentle hands
Embrace this failing empty shell
This web of empty strands
A love of love itself it seems
Of passion and desire
Turns Sailors into monsters
And Mothers into liars
What makes a wonder wonderful
What makes a blessing blessed
'Tis you alone we come to know
When not so self- obsessed
Lord, help us not to lose your light
And wallow in the dirt
And help instead to nurture
All we're given at our birth
A wish alone can guide us
If truth is what we seek
Protect the weak and hungry
The burdened and the meek
Lord, make me strong enough to show
The children in my care
Their path is guided by your light
Their Souls are in your care
Beloved child of love,
Help me overcome fear
As to sacrifice my ego
On the altar of

I just wanted to let you know
That I have this love for you...
Although I'm not fast to show
For you, there's nothing I wouldn't do
And I can't control this love
No matter what I try to do...
While I know our lives are separating
Which has got me pretty blue
I just want you to know
How much I love you...
Because I was blinded by shyness
And now my heart's feeling rugged
So this here's An Ode To My Beloved
Oh how I still see you every night in my mind
You're the best girl I feel I'll ever find
And when my eyes would fall upon your smile
My heart would be put on trial
And so if nothing else, I want to let you know
That I'll always love you, that my hearts beat
For you, won't ever slow...
Because I was blinded by shyness
And now my heart's feeling rugged
So this here's An Ode To My Beloved
So I wish you happiness beyond compare
And sorry for the times I couldn't help but stare
Caring, passionate, smart, and loving
From my heart, to you, I'll never be shoving
You will always be in my heart
No matter where we go, how far we drift apart...
Goodbye My Love...
The first best friend I ever had,
you run miles in my dreams
You're by my side, you wait for me
You're loyal, you've always been
You never speak a complaining word
and your eyes always smile
You love me unconditionally,
You're open, like a child
And you'll live on here in my heart
for all my days on earth
Not Solomon's mines, nor Fort Knox gold
could equal a good dog's worth
“Stop baby girl”, cried my daddy
be careful lest you get yourself hurt
and more often than not foolish words I would utter
and spew forth out of my mouth in one big blurt.
As a child, I saw into the heart of this daddy caregiver
when he had to paddle me with an otherwise gentle hand,
and I would see the tears that would well up in his eyes
when afterwards I was told to stand.
And momma would warn, choose your friends and close associates wisely
it was the lesson all of us would nightly be taught,
Lest you learn their ways only to find
your fee in the same snare will certainly be caught.
Oh, yes, you try your wings out to see if you can fly
before your chosen time,
only to learn hard lessons were to be gained
which brought you absolutely no peace of mine.
During our formative years these same parents with some
old and new teachers would bring wise teachings into our sheltered life,
trying to help and spare you from hurts
they had had that caused them much pain and dreadful strife.
For we have a Caregiver Whose watchful eyes
will always and ever see,
and such loving arms have then and ever
were always tenderly hold up you and me.
For you see a caregiver now and then has to take a strong stand
not giving in to his charge’s will,
knowing it is for their good and not evil
if they will not run from the correction but obey and stand still.
And, then one day it seems we see
the full picture and reason for it all,
for our God is our Ultimate Caregiver Who gave Himself
to and for us only once but totally now and for all.

When I looked at you last week trying on your new boots
Those almond eyes sparkling at something new, a gift
I saw my little pink girl, a princess, playing dress up again
Your long hair draped your high cheekbones
Life still a game, tinged with drama and theatre
As you look for fun in all your pursuits!
A player in life with a passion for cooking and music
You have become a kind, loyal, vivacious young woman
Self assured, grounded with a love of tradition
I looked at you and felt an overwhelming pride.
Sunday’s child is ' bonny, blithe, good and gay' they say
Befitting my Sabbath girl, a model child of few demands
Your bedroom a vast sea of Barbie and friends
A Passion for story-time and books
Your Dutch life with Irish sea-touched roots,
You are a real continental
A great scholar with degrees in Law and Psychoanalysis
You have found your true love with Luis, a Spaniard
As you both prepare to leave the Emerald Isle
I wonder at the achievement of you!
The"tail" I have to tell, starts off really sad.
My sweet doggie Murphy died and my heart, it hurt so bad.
Until one day in early spring, I got a call that made my heart sing!
There were some puppies born in Waco, the daddy -Jasper, and mommy- Juneau.
Four little boys, three little girls. But the picture of one boy, made my heart twirl!
So I waited for a week or two, to meet my little puppy-oh so new!
I named him Humphrey, such a handsome boy! He has brought laughter back and oh what a joy! He's super cute, and very smart. Many would say, he's a work of art!
He's learning new tricks, and how to potty outside. So many rules to learn and abide!
Humphrey is growing so quickly, the puppy breath will soon disappear. He will be an adult in less than a year! Every stage of his life is a blessing from above. I guess that's the true meaning of what we call "puppy love".
Ode To Pretty Cat
My cat has female inclinations when it purrs
It does not speak in English using words
But has a perfect soul
Pretty Cat gets by, with its billowy fur
Prefers not fighting and takes flight
At any sign of danger or such notions
Avoids all confrontations
Wears his fluffy yellow hair like gold
He spreads out on his pillows that are its oceans
Unfolds, unfurls his coat in thick proportions
Spoiled, preened and cleaned in lotions
He’s such a pretty boy
Curtains hang as clouds, as distractions
Such fun and dangling’s, to drag them down, as pleasure toys
We smother him in kisses, emotions and affections
He’s such a pretty thing
Who simply glows
He’s almost human
It is a life of comforts, slumbering all day
I would love to be with kitty all the time
But work and life get in the way
So I must work so Pretty Cat can play
It dreams in feline tiny mind expressions
Short cat naps at a time of happy things and smiles
Imagines fish and birds served up in style with some cat nip
Pretty Cat has no place to go so it grows fat
We pet him for hours while he rolls on his back
I just love being with my little friend
A true city kitty cat
Though he is very old he stays real sweet and pretty
My heart jumps, as it attacks the string I hold
It clings to it and swings with fevered paws
As bright green eyes follow like a tick tock clock
Pendulum like as the one thing in life he likes a lot
It is through comfort found in twine and string
My cat and I find true happiness in things
When I’m with Pretty Cat problems fade far away
Dissolve and melt into tomorrow with no sorrow
Where beauty alone cannot keep his lustrous eyes awake
Our play time has no measure in the hours
I always find pure pleasure with that Pretty cat of mine
Created on 11/04/14 for “Pets” -Poetry Contest
Though I may not do him justice, with my meager skills,
I write of Aaron Guttery
Most of you probably don't know him, but I feel you would,
By simply reading his poetry
With a pen in hand and vast of oceans of ink
He's ready to tackle the world, swim or sink
He's been here, just thirteen years on God's green earth
And already he knows the difference between price tag and worth
It's not about package, for that's just flashy covering for the stuff kept inside
Though very talented he doesn't gloat - but recalls how Satan's first sin was pride
He had a brave and humble mission to show us the world in a totally different light
When things are tough you can't just wait for the storm to pass,
You adjust the sails and face the night
The world is a top and we simply tag along for the ride
Unaware of those that have to fight just to survive
He wrote raps like Misfit - telling everyone he was an outsider looking in
But he also wrote Irreplaceable - exposing the heart of gold hidden within
Through all the hard times and he still exalts the Savior
It's written right there in black and white, you can see it through his behavior
He told me once "I don't believe I have anything to envy".
But I can plainly see that's just not true
Through the solace of mind to pen, and pen to paper, he sees clearly
There's just no way around it, words are stuck on him, like stubborn glue
Men four times his age are still looking for "the next big thing"
Still not knowing how precious little joy that brings
To relish in the temporary, with all your might,
To fall in love with a moment that's born to die
All the while the questions that were worthy of asking
Are held up above like so many stars in the sky
Keep writing on, my friend. You affect the world than you know.
There is much more life in store for you
And I hope you share it with us all, as you continue to grow
Keep your feet on the ground and head in the clouds
Life ain't a library, so if you got something to say, shout it out loud
Those that matter will listen with their ears perked to the extreme
And those that just roll their eyes aren't worthy of being apart of your dream
Never ditch your sense of true importance,
Life will throw curveballs, and at times you'll even spit out teeth
But I've seen your resilience and have no doubt
That no matter what, you'll continue to follow your feet
NOTE: Aaron Guttery is a poet here on P-Soup. I wrote this because I believe his work needs to be more known... come take a look at his page :)
Green bark a prism creates,
Feel the pull of earth, you must.
Rotates, a slime of endless hates,
Can hold me not, this world’s crust.
Friendship’s ties, isolation Deflates,
Succumbs, my spaceship, to bitter rust.
Mist, my soul forever permeates,
Lift-off, booms the rocket’s thrust.
My spirit when light returns, elates,
Swamps swell, swallowed hope’s swirling dust.
Trapped, I am, until student from fate
Arrives to learn; Cloud City or bust.
May grace bring peace and calm
As each day lifts
A certain charm
In wondrous gifts.
May dream greet pulse and tact
As moments come
In spur of acts
That match fond sums.
May thought merge with fond will
As feelings tell
A tale of fill
To cast new spells.
May feel attract bold form
As if to speak
Of inner norms
That force new peaks.
May work and play align
As purpose stays
On sure design
That knows the way.
May voice greet choice that moves
As passion streams
Each path and groove
To set the dream.

Marshmallows bright some are mushy, soft, weak, jellyfish swimming in a cesspool of uncommitted, unloyal, uncaring mud. Their kindness a show, a facade, a mask. They never finish a single task. Don't father or parent, of commit themselves to anyone or anything, hollow and empty they never like a rose will bud.
Leathery, cracked and torn, some or sacks of sorrow, weary
and worn. Leaking tears and sighs they hide behind barriers, windows and walls, their misery, an echo through its passages and halls. Never yielding or trusting they flower not, the reason for living and loving, forgot.
Dark, musty, and spidery are those who have sold their joy to fright and fear, as evil, they allow to move in and draw near. No caring, shame, or guilt, conscience or love will you find here. Only sulphur, and stench and joy in your misery and pain, there power, their gain.
Open, free, uncaring, always giving are some, like shops without doors, they allow one to take and steal, trusting too easily, ending up shattered, ruptured and torn. Mending fast, plasters all over their wall, they always get up and stand up tall. Forgiveness their greatest weakness.
Sunbeams, bright and shiny, lighting up the world, some are darkness breakers and happiness makers. Their trust, and loyal devotion, always put great and wondrous events in motion. Light and sweet, gentle and meek, they are the ones everybody wants to keep. Their gift an eternal one, they are the precious jewel, from the Son.
The horn blew as the wind picked the same moment
The note carried over the field and picking up speed
All memories of him drifted away as the bugle went silent
But she remained until the last rose
Later she would remember his last words
He had told her he would never forget her
And like the last star that goes where stars go
She went there as well
She went to that last rose and was comforted
She could feel his hands
She could smell his scent
And she saw the uniform and the horn
They met when he returned from the war and he had limped
He limped with warmth and with no complaint
They had one son but he did one too many bags
He carried his bags up his arm
And there was no bugle or wind
But there were roses and tears
They got through it with love and his limp
They sat on the porch rocking and remembered
Until his limp grew slower and the horn played
But the rose ...............
When the guest are gone and the weather get's hot.
Face it with drink and hits the spot.
Do you want to be married or do you want to be right.
The bottle gets lower as you drink till you're tight.
Look in the mirror and search for your youth.
All that's found is you're long in the tooth.
Put on your makeup that gives you ten years.
The friends have gone and you're left with the tears.
Remembers the beauty from the days of your school.
The wine remembers and helps one to fool.
Long for those days when they bowed at your feet.
Another year older and have lost all your teeth.

"I shall be telling this with a sigh"
My thoughts they roil like waters dark
in the abyss of blackest night
with memories of mother’s book marks
of Longfellow read by lamp light.
She called in the room around me
the patter of other small feet,
her gentle voice fetched angels
Oh, rhymes how they astounded me
like lullabies soft and so sweet.
All fearsome shadows, she’d dispel
Maxine, my queen read Tennyson
and the Charge of the Light Brigade
a little girl dreamt of caissons
roll and thunderous cannonades.
To be so brave the small child mused
mother’s small, precious, heroine
what would it take to stand so strong
without father, and not confused
What words where the linchpin
to right mother’s tell tale wrong.
Such sad inspiration*.. mother
but a champion you were born.
You’re adored before all others
yet, tears bring memories forlorn.
So, dreams stream on of Mother Goose
three kittens and their mittens.
My visions of your fleeting smile
return almost every night,
and your spirit comforts, lightens
sights, if only for a little while.
The scent of your breath captured my innocence
With those candle-shaped fingers so soft and tender,
The eyes that spark with modesty and sensibility,
I'm yet beginning to lose my own self in the spiral of a never-ending journey.
Your flawless skin is as white as the snow
A perfect soul trapped in s perfect body of a man
Your words are as pure as the quiet lake of dote
With the touch that produces rhythm to a lifeless dream.
Every blink of your eyes imply affectionate devotion
Your moves are embedded with care and temperance
Staring at me like I'm the only woman on earth
I tried to jump away but you caught me in your supple arms.
you embrace me with security and praises
Worships like I'm an idol to whom you entrust your future
I wish you'd feel the silent desires of my heart
We'll together be floating then in a serene shimmering ocean.
If sleeping is the only medium to spend togetherness,
I would rather wake myself up and start a neophyte search
I'd take all the means to steal you from my mind
Eternally dreaming about the man I've only met from nowhere.
Love me like you're a prince
Be real and forget your home and your origination.
