Sunlight sparkles on the shimmering pond
Its mirror like surface smooth as silk
Dragonflies dance across the water
Performing aerial acrobatics like a circus in the air
Water dipping on a fairground ferris wheel
Then plunging dramatically like a helicopter in freefall
Rising and falling skimming the water so gracefully
Transparent gossamar wings flapping in flight
Shimmering like a sapphire in the early morning sun
Dazzling me with your infinite beauty
Some summer days I wish I had wings
Seeing dragonflies’ dancing makes my heart sing

God named me a straying cloud,
and by His perpetual wish I abide...
as the loneliest cloud floating on the earth's breeze.
I glance below and discover the yellow daffodils pride,
and fluttering they dance beneath the apple trees;
and as a sparrow I feel the bond.
My night visitation is more exciting than broad daylight,
I encounter many stars and make them my friends,
and they love shining on the Milky Way...
looking down on the lonely bay so bright;
and tossing their luminous heads, they brightly dance:
so happy they have come my way!
Even the ocean's waves join them in their play,
but their dance is better than theirs,
and at such wondrous sight I make verse...
being offered their warm company;
I am amazed by how they roll and still gazing away,
I do admire the spectacle that gladdens me.
So often, on my couch I gladly lie to rest,
but overwhelmed by empty or moody thoughts,
that splendid image flashes in the glow of the sunset;
my daffodils still wave and invite me to dance,
and I dance with them, making a happy sound...
not to feel the loneliness of a lost cloud.

Autumn dripping leaves of weary gold
Exits quietly, fading through the trees.
Hawthorn shakes her cloak of ruby fire.
Naked to the woods and twisting breeze.
Winter’s breath now lingers in the air.
Strands of whispered frost on silver lace.
Deep within the green a distant voice.
Calls the breeze to dance with chilling grace.
Winter’s tune plays keenly on the wind.
Snowflakes dance and play her melody.
Wrapped in fur she drapes the scene in white.
Nature shrouded, steeped in mystery.
Winter’s touch threads spider’s webs with gems.
Diamond drops of cold reflected glass.
Water turns to stone with breathless ease.
Frozen daggers arm each blade of grass.
Winter’s kiss enchants the wood to sleep.
Holly smiles and stains her berries bright.
Mistletoe wound tight on blackened bough.
Strands of pearl reflecting ghostly light.
Winter’s song plays on throughout the night.
Nature’s secrets slumber in the earth.
Spring will wake them with the sun’s return
Thaw the ground and call them to rebirth.
A Rage Against The Storm
Alas! against the storm I did bellow,
you bloweth upon the wrong fellow
My soul you have now so sorely tried
fear, your gift has now so surely died!
Nature feeds your evil blowing wrath,
I curse your daring this upon my path
Heaven's powers ignore your wicked deeds
you the rot that eats away joy's seeds!
Hark! all the destruction you have wrought,
fruits of sins that man surely has bought
Yet, I defy your right to so hammer me
I, the strongest root of my family tree!
Rage on , tear out the withered and the old
This man defies you with a heart very bold!
Robert J. Lindley, 08-27-2014
Through a rose petal forest,
The Spring wind sings
A luscious symphony
Of sighs and whispers.
Light and shadow dance
Cheek to cheek
To the music of the boughs
Beneath a prismatic honey moon.
Nature's kaleidoscopic dress
Flows and swirls in chittering delight.
Leaves rustling, branches tussling,
In an ancient dance of mirth.
Fifteen tiny swallows
Fifteen tiny swallows
All perched upon a fence
Oh what handsome fellows
But here, let me commence
To speak of all their beauty
These tiny little birds
All black and cream with a reddish throat
Oh how my heart they stirred
A lady walking with her dog
Disturbed these little guys
So from the fence these birds take wing
And head towards the skies
It seems that they are dancing
In the way they fly around
They always seem to fly in circles
And nearly touch the ground.
I walk around these wetlands
And wonder at it all
Everyday it’s something else
And it’s all so beautiful
Ducks and swallows, parrots too
And the beauty of the lake
I love to walk there most of all
At the coming of the daybreak.

To reach out and touch you
Feel your warmth on my skin
As sun sets on pillows
And mist laden sorrows
The dark windswept willows
Now sleep till tomorrow
Then come dance again
As the sun sets up high
And the whispering wind
Carries a soft kiss of Spring rain
As sun sets on pillows
And snow covered mountains
The crash of swift rivers
Lift fleeting light fountains
As dainty droplets fall
Sending you sweet kisses
Springs soft kiss of rain
Come dance again
As sun sets on pillows
And oceans set motions
The sweet songbirds chorus
Fills a million emotions
To reach out and touch you
In Sring soft kisses of rain
Come dance again..

Tangerine skies seethe God's Grace
Summer's vehment blaze...replaced
Slipping sweetness around my pillow
Cool winds dance with weeping willow
Stars twinkle down through thick dense trees
As spirits dance in fresh Autumn's breeze
The cicada's song,
Rouses the shadows to dance:
The Santa Ana's are here, and the moon is clear.
There is a mystic in the air that whispers in my ear.
Is this a peaceful feeling or does it carry fear ?
What is the passion and hot fragrence of orange blossom that is pulling me a different way , as if this power has been sent only by a Witch of the finest of White Magic, only to calm the Blue Soul I have known my whole life.
I feel a passion that is running through my Veins like the power of water itself .
As if the Moon itself were instructed to warm the air that is blowing . It is not a new moon , it is not a old moon , it is a moon that appears only in ones lifetime to gaze at .
By seeing and feeling the very power of this Moon you will dance your way to Heaven with happiness of what is yet to come.
The Stars around this Moon are unique as if they take the presence of every loved one you and I have lost .
The Witches winds with the warm glowing of the moon, as if I had never met you before , are blowing with the frangerence of Orange Blossom or Magnolia , from a distant past of The South.
As if I know we have been together once before , a Moon such as this . In a peaceful , lustful state of Bliss.
There is something coming .. is it something I have always known or wanted ?
What is yet to be known is as intoxicating as the Santa anas that are running through my body.
As if i have been struck by the power of light , as the powerful moon I gaze at in the Night.
It is piercing my soul with it's only Truth,
The fox he bounced up to the toad
As everything around him glowed
He took her hand so tenderly
And said "hey sing this song with me"
The elephant told the kangaroo
“No matter what you say or do
You've got to have this dance with me”
And hummed a little melody.
They danced and danced
The whole night through
And really had a great to do
As their time they filled so merrily
All crazy, wild, and fancy free
The chimpanzee said to the clown
As he tapped his toes upon the ground
“Come laugh with me and have some fun
Let's dance and sing, hey everyone”.
The bear he laughed to see them all
As he drank some juice to keep him cool
Then he joined in all the carry on
As they played and danced the whole day long.

Revelling in the rain
That goes tapping on my back.
I twirl, 'am in no haste;
With a weedy leafy dirndle
Wrapped around my waist.
I swing and I sway,
Drifting about in gay;
Pirouetting with the posies,
Floating in the pristine air.
I dance with no refrain,
Foot taps whispering with the rain.
The entire world stood,
As in a clearing in the wood;
With festoons of flowers and foliage,
Them all ornating my stage.
Till I dance into the dawn,
And a grey and cloudy morn;
Rain capering with me,
Accompanying me for a song.
For Charlotte Puddifoot's Contest : "First Poem On Soup"
Dusk, the end of day, the soften bed of moonlight,
brings wild thoughts within its sultry shadows musing.
Belle Lune, fair damsel, bringing love and fright,
release my tongue-tied self, please allow my crooning.
Troubadours have strung the onyx sky with comet
tails glittering white, and bowed each string to unite
the pensive poet's heart and that of his fair coquette;
see them sway, a dance displayed amour in the moonlight.
Shadows deepen, have they left, thought hard, grown contrite
or has the moon, amused, drawn shadows 'round as gowns?
Will he rise at dawn, curtains drawn, write of the night?
The maid, the moon, the well so deep, the heat profound
calls to him in memory, now cooled by harsh light.
For now, there is, but the empty page of daylight.
Dancing with the trees.
Like the silence of the bush be I
So wonderful I feel
Within the depth of mystic river
Comes a space that is so still
I see it all, and all of me
In the dancing of the trees
The way they wave so gracefully
As they float upon the breeze.
I catch a glimpse of the vast 'I am'
In the power of the silence
All arrogance it dissipates
And so do shades of violence
As they flow away on the painted river
On it's way to the mighty ocean
The only thing that takes their place
Is love and sweet devotion.
A Parrot lands upon a branch
All orange, blue, and green
As I catch a glimpse of the morning sun
As it shines upon his sheen
And make the colours come to life
And I feel that power in me
the power of the all that is
With all it's energy.

Looking up I spot a bird; floating in the sky just soaring way up high. Graceful with wings spread never seeming to move slowly he circles around. In the distance another calls out as joining in this dance in the sky! The two ever higher begin their decent slow and mythological. What feels like hours I watch enjoying the sight drifting downward? What beauty the two birds display as they dare soar closer with each pass.
At last I can tell their hawks. A pair I’m sure for they fly together and call out to one another. I watch as one pauses on a tree limb looking about. The other still circling above and calls out once again. An answer comes from the beauty on the limb.
Amazed I watch the other land on the bird bath. What a sight to see as the smaller one now splashes in the bath. Clean and dry off she flies into the trees. The big hawk again into the sky higher and higher I watch him soar. Soon he’s high enough it’s difficult to tell this graceful soaring bird is the hawk from my backyard. A cry from afar and then he too disappears from my sight.
I find myself looking up watching and waiting for soaring high I’ll see my hawks. The graceful dance in the sky I know will lead them to the bird bath along with the branch where he sits and waits. A cry will sound in the distance alerting me of their intended arrival. My hawks will soar high circling with grace till they dare once more visit a while.
And the storm calls to me in ways you'll never understand
A gentle call that urges my soul forth
The lighting guiding a path for my feet to walk
Between the stones and ash of all that once was
I stand in the echoing silence of the rain
It drops down upon my skin like the blessing waters of heaven
Soothing me, lifting the weight from my body
I feel at once as if I am home
Standing amid two dimensions
Caught between two skies - here and there
The night wraping around me in warmth
The gentle wind lifting me off my feet
Drops from the clouded moon washing away my body
and I am left just a soul, an essence
The storm calls me forth from beneath my roof
Beckoning me into its depth
I stand among the reeds in the basin
They dance and sway as if welcoming me
And I sway with them back
Caught up in the power that charges the air
That threatens to sweep me away
If the ground will just loosen its hold
The thunder rumbles a low welcoming growl
And I get pleasently lost within it
I am so small compared to its vastness
I close my eyes and succumb to the skies wishes
Rising higher until my feet no longer touch the ground
My fingertips touch the liquid color of the stars
A sigh drifts from my lips
There is no need of thought to stay afloat
There is no demand to breathe in air
No crushing weight upon my chest
As my lungs struggle to survive
There are no struggles here
I make my bed on blackened clouds
And give in to the call
The storm has claimed me as its own
It was such a struggle to stay upon the ground
When the storm would call me home
Standing on the sidewalk,
Underneath the trees,
My ears can hear it talk,
Murmuring with the breeze,
Every drop hits the street,
Running in it's own way,
Raining down it's own beat,
A song it just wants to play,
I can feel their dancing feet,
Near mine on a summer day.
A TRAGEDY OF PRIDE ( hubris)
In the Arctic nights the jazz born North Lights sound
with a music of their own. Fair winds ferry fragile birds--
take to the skies in search of sympathetic warmth profound
while white breathless silence magnifies each sound as it is heard
and few venture forth, like bears they dash to find a haven
where they can hide until reluctantly the sun has stirred--
But, there is one jay bird who is not one of nature’s craven
creatures-- Waiting for a spring call from his mate, he hops into the hungry snow
to dance a dangerous dance in icy morning with the ravens.
There is a God flung magic that dashes high above the haughty human know
among the ancient secret kingdoms of the mystery sky--
And there it is that Wisdom’s Word is spread by wing and wayward winds that blow
their way in worldwide splendor and intricate magnificence that defies
the mind of man. It is a truth that dalliance in vanity is inborn---
Man or bird, into the nature of some spirits-- it low lies
and becomes incited when grand fame or imagined glory has been shorn
by another . And , so-- in Persia when the Prince of Peacocks heard
murmurs of the razzing ravens and the sassy sparrows high sky airborne
a proclamation that the World knew now there lived a peerless bird--
plucky-proud, surpassing the peacock -- Jay magnificent with a spirit daunting, a weight
of valiant blue in shades escaped of double rainbows, color-blurred
who bedazzled all nature’s eyes and winds of ear, that judiciously beheld each trait.
The peacock, no longer Highest Prince of Birds, screamed a terrible and cosmic sound
of jealousy. Ignoring all the glory that still made him great--
the vain and foolish peacock fell-- stunned and breathless to the ground.

My people walk upon the Earth gently,
respectful of those who walked before
whose atoms mingle in the stardust
sprinkled from shore to shining shore.
My people hold Her sacred,
and cling to a long chanted prayer
that all who walk upon Her face
will find sacred teachings there.
My people feel Her spiraling rhythms
And Ghost Dance to Her holy hum.
We touch Her face ever gently
With unquelched tears of countless sum.
She bows her noble, gray head to acknowledge
The many who have been lost,
and none can count the blessings wasted
of their lives forever and savagely tossed.
But, She no longer sings of murder.
She longs for quiet and peaceful fires.
Her green and blossoming outstretched arms
Strong now, promise hopeful and lovely spirals.
It is upward from her dust that we must look for peace
And open our heart past hate and vengence.
Now is our time to dance and welcome back
The sacred Mother of splendid vestal vestige.

Tangerine floats of stems fading by lamp light,

and whispers of stooped dance soothe the moon to sleep.
Brushing a wandering sky soaking in rainfall’s keep

Dance thru the moonlight rays with me,
Dance above the clouds round the moon.
Dance through the night’s passing hours,
Dance beneath stars cosmically singing.
Dance thru the dusk’s glow with me,
Dance above the city lights on the Earth.
Dance through this world’s passing horizon.
Dance beneath stars brightly shining.
Dance thru the moonlight beams with me,
Dance above the clouds concealing the sky.
Dance through the night’s monotone colours.
Dance beneath stars silently twinkling.
NATURE’S SINGLE DADS:
THE AUSTRALIAN EMU
The next sixteen months:
CRR-ACK ~ “That’s loud,” he exclaims getting up on his legs, so knobbly and thin.
He looks down to the ground,
where he first heard the sound,
and says, “Now it’s your turn to begin.”
Hours go by, as each little chick tries to break free of its protective cover.
They all work their way,
throughout the long day,
then all greet their father-come-mother.
For his new family he breaks the last shell. To his fluffy striped chicks, he’s their mother.
As they grow older under Dad’s shoulder
he will nurture, each sister and brother.
In time, they will leave his home on the dance floor; a single dad, with chicks he will roam.
With high steps he will prance.
They will learn every dance
for survival, before he goes home.
With the changing seasons, Emund finds reasons to leave his young chicks on their own
Others join with his brood
now there’s plenty of food,
Emund turns and again, he’s alone.
Not taking the chance of being late for the dance Emund picks up his speed on the track.
They won’t meet at his gate
if he gets home too late
to dance to the rhythms of the outback.
The Australian Emu; one of Natures' Single Dads worthy of a mention for the survival of the species in the extremes of the outback.
Rocking and swaying in the breeze
Tree branches are dancing with glee
Such playful action of the trees
So joyous, unfettered and free
Leaves are all rustling and sighing
With a sound like waves of the sea
Like a crescendo that rising
And then subsiding gradually
Leaves that fell to the grass below
Perform their dancing in the air
The breeze tosses them to and fro
Making the show a grand affair
The sun is shining in the sky
Bathing everything in its light
I'm feeling such a glorious high
Gazing at this beautiful sight
Cherry blossoms bloom;
the townspeople sing, laugh, dance:
hope springs eternal.
Esmeralda and the fairies
Esmeralda in her garden
Was playing with her dolls
Amidst flowers so beautiful
And the sun shone down like gold.
Midst butterflies and pretty birds
And trees that softly glowed
She saw two fairies oh so pretty
As one sat upon a toad.
The toad did look so happy there
With the fairy on his back.
They came up to a pretty rose
By a little grassy track
Then one fairy danced a dance
Little heart all filled with bliss
As Esmeralda felt such love
And so much happiness.
The other fairy started dancing
As the toad just clapped his hands
Esmeralda watched it all
Oh she thought it was so grand
But when she told her mum and dad
Well, they just laughed at her
And told her it’s imagination
That it did not occur.

The woman steps out on the balcony of her high rise apartment and among the buildings and streets and stoplights witnesses a fulcrum, an edge.
An edge, the edge, the intersection of beginnings and endings,
The moment when crops are ripe for harvest.
The edge calls to us and invites us to forsake what is known,
The edge calls us to test the limits of our understanding,
And step into an abyss of possibility,
Sinking down into relaxed awareness of beauty,
The edge awaits us.
The edge, where race no longer matters and neither does popularity,
The edge, where souls delight in the magic of music,
The edge, where souls delight in the power of seasons to change and death to beget life,
The edge is where we are neither disappointed at what we have not done or anxious that we will not continue in doing,
The edge is where we can see a life, a leaf, a soul for what it is without a biased back story of prejudiced contrivance,
The edge is where babies go when they are awakened in the womb,
The edge is the horizon where sunrises and twilight take our breath to the height of admiration,
For only God can make this atmosphere to shine just right as the sun and moon dance their dance of gratitude,
The edge is what I wish for now and always,
The woman steps out of her house in the mountains and among the stars hidden in sunshine and premature butterflies hidden in billowy leaves on trees she witnesses an edge, a fulcrum.
Where divinity and gratitude explode in the praise of creativity and the worship of life anew.
Edges, edges where comfortable platitudes have no voice and ignorant assumptions are ostracized,
Come quickly edges, come quickly edges and embrace me.

Wind careless whisper, leads me to peer
To run... view: a play of cosmos dance
Feet - glued on this one enchanting trance
Momentum of crescendo
Filling me with all tempo
On ocean blue, dolphins leap and hop
School of fish swims to form a line dance
Jellies jig and wave in modern pop
Gentle breeze sways leaves of trees
Lush leaves swing on teeming green
Bearing fruits of finest genes
Butterflies tango to petals bulbs
Bees waltz sucking nectarine from buds
Blossoms jazz bloomed on big pinky reds
Deer leads the flamenco band
Squired by birds tweeting on land
Mused fireflies mambo so grand
Fluffy clouds in cha-cha during day
Sunshine smiles in frug of golden rays

Moon and stars folk dance veils shin

A Storm's Wrath
thunder from dark, dark skies once were they brilliant blue
swirling are the leaves that mighty wind has now thrown
buckets of cold hard rain the starved earth does quench
as gliding winged eagles do fly among the darkened clouds
strong waves of storm's might pushing them soaring all about
as lightning strikes objects resting tall upon sodden ground
life marvels at Nature's massive stormy blasts and loud show
hiding now are the creatures that earlier were out to play
spiteful wind rips the trees that stand defiantly in it's way
floods fill the deep burrows where so many wild critters hide
with no fear of Nature's wrath and it's dark, stormy wet ride
time stops Nature's wrath slowly gliding along it's endless path...

searching the northern sky
from a clear blue and white sky
with fleecy white clouds
edged with wisps of mist
like giant grains of popcorn
drifting slowly by
way up in the sky
bathing the sugar cane fields below
with golden sunbeams
saturating the texture
of its long grass-like leaves
with its radiance
enlivening them and
transforming the fields into
an emerald sea
of brilliant green
swaying the sugar cane leaves
gently caressing them
making them dance in unison
like the waves of the ocean
The dancing leaves
vibrating in harmony
with each other
create a murmuring sound
that builds in intensity
and reaches a crescendo
like the roar
of the waves of the ocean
setting the leaves
in a wild dance of ecstasy
and then gently subsiding
to the soothing sound
of a gentle breeze
inducing a state
At such moments
alone with nature
one can feel a strange unity
with everything around
Unity that is so strong
that one loses consciousness
of one's individual self
one has no consciousness
of time and space
but only of that moment
- the infinite eternal NOW
One's consciousness seems to merge
with a deeper consciousness
of the unity of all things
in nature and the cosmos
One experiences an awareness
of a deeper reality
that is impossible
to describe in words
One makes contact
with one's cosmic roots
in a dimension where
time and space
It is the synchronisation
of one's consciousness
with the absolute
and ultimate reality
of the cosmos
As a young boy, around nine or ten, I used to love to be in the sugar-cane fields in my native tropical island, Trinidad. I got a natural high, being dazzled by the brilliant sunshine and listening to the sighing of the sugar cane leaves as they swayed in the breeze like the waves of the ocean. I felt that Nature was speaking to me, transporting me to another world where I connected with my cosmic roots, becoming part of the unity of all things.
I watch as the rays of the Silvery moon drape their silhouette over , The edge of the soft bed. The air blows in from the chilly northern wind outside my window pane. The Earth is quiet and still, The muffled sound of a near by pond frog, can be heard. And offers peace unto the sleepy eyed Earth. The quietness slipping further and further into complete silence. The trees seem to pause in between their, dancing swaying leaves. They are frightened from the darkness that is creeping in. The Earth will not deny it. Winter will soon dwell in the its surrounding. Small snowflakes dance in the distance above the high Mountains. White will foil the entire hillside, and sparkle like glitter when the moon, brings light. The soft winter mix, will soon pillow the entire Earth. The snow flakes dance and twirl, and land on the arms of the shivery trees, they will cradle the white wetness. The earth is now fast asleep, and The whiteness will soon cover the entire Sleepy eyed Earth.

To be up on the world stage and perform
To jump in the air and land on the grass
Elated by the life’s concert
It’s a constant bass
Give me a forest
And take back your lawn
Lying on the mulch
The ants crawl
Over my dead mask
Wearing it was such a horrendous task
Watch me slip
Into the madness, you call
But Peace it truly is
Just once try and recall
You have trod this path too!
So why are you now appalled?
Entering the gates of spring
A new panorama unfolding
Almond blossoms all around
Oodles of beauty all around
Splendid white flowering trees
Petals on the ground layered
To welcome the onlooker
to the heavenly sights
Under each tree
Petal showering down
And playing with the wind
A smile on each face
Such view brings
A dance of smiles and petals
A dance of wind and fragrance
Spring air and blossoms
Dancing to the tunes of nature
Wings gifted to all the viewers
Each lifted to a dreamland
Dreamland of heavenly bliss
Each kiss of petals falling from the trees
Makes you feel lighter and lighter
And in no time, everyone starts dancing
With those petals in the wind…

I spy, a feather beauty bright
With speckled blush on breast
Basking within the thicket light
Dancing round about her tiny branch
Your fluttering sight beholding
Within the snowy briar
Bathing among the warmth
Of the morning's golden glory
Its brilliance your own crown of halo
Like a sunburst that swallows
Up the end of February's sigh
As other feathers flusters zoom right by
The ginger little fellows all dappled, scramble
A merry-go-round within a flight
Threading joyous song throughout your bramble
As further flocks of scurry, hurry fly
On parade teasing wings of faerie sprites
A musical path of crisscross kites
But, you little one are the daring, bursting forth
With higher operatic songs, to startle and scold those spry
Feather beauty bravely
Upon your perch chest thrust out boldly
Nonsense rhymes and a new found might
Chase away the imps of finch and thrush
And keep yourself the sunbeams for its light
And bask yourself once more this time
Among the drops of melting dripping snow
And gather up all tis full
Feasting here, where the wild wild berries grow
But, in the end you are their kin
And soon, my fairy feathered friend you too must go
Out, onto twittering leafy stemmy stem and off...
Into the yonder of the coming spring to rove
Snowflakes waltz on cold breezes
Remembered dance steps centuries old
Changing partners on a whim
Caring not whose creation they will trim
Father North Wind interjects boldly
Guiding the familiar waltzing journey
As flake swirls and spin gracefully
Always retaining their individuality
Jack Frost, his night shift ending
Leaps and twirls from place to place
Freezing morning dew, now expanding,
Preparing for the dance troupe landing
Mother Nature, the definitive director
Observes diligently each intricate design
Ever mindful of their desired destination
Knowing each becomes a Christmas decoration
Blissfully unaware of the preparations for the show
Children awaken to blankets of snow
Hastily donning coats, caps, boots and gloves
Father Christmas, delighted, smiles down from above
Note: I wrote this last winter during the Christmas Season. Hope you enjoy. Merry Christmas !!!
Teardrops of dews glistening
Breaks the days of dawn
Caterpillars shedding shells of cocoon
Awakening with yawns
The little fairies quaintly appear
Dancing their favorite dances, all the day long
But, where do the butterflies dance to
When the sun hides her head...
And the days are shamelessly gone?
They fill up my gardens
Frolic from tip of tulip to end of the rose
Next to sunflower, daffodil the flutter flies flown
Never attempting to speak even one little peep
Keeping their precious secrets
From sun up until the sundown
A parade of floats
Viceroy to the Monarch whom he tries to pretend
Royal and regal, ginger and black
Passes the hours while waltzing with flowers
But where does each of them go as processions end?
Dainty, the Painted lady curtseys
Among the swallowtails that swan through the weed
And the Admirals through the blade
But soon to hide away
Flying rainbows of season’s beginning to fade
And my magical gardens now they are bare
The little fairies all have disappeared
Following the whisper of wisps, of a new winter’s air
It’s the beginning of autumn
And soon will come the billows of snow
Did they take journey to a summer, in a far away land
Where oh, where did the butterflies go
I cherish every raindrops which dance upon my face
Occasional piano accompaniment drift along my pace
On the trails which tickles my fifth sense of taste
Millions molecular beam saved every curt memo as a lace
Which knitted through every single wink of my grace
Again, I cherish every raindrops which dance upon my face
Love the moment, love the drizzle
Love the ambiance which showered in a dazzle
Sometimes I feel small in this world, in this vast universe
But then sometimes when I’m sitting on that bench in the park with know one around watching the leaves dance in the breeze, the air hitting my face . .
I feel big on an imaginable scale, it reminds me of all those minuet atoms all put together to make me
Enabling me to watch those leaves dance in the breeze!
Enabling me to walk in that park!
Sit on that bench!
It’s easy to forget how special we are and how everything in this world is special if you look close enough. The one thing size has taught me is to think and when we think and i mean actually THINK . . amazing things can be achieved.
Take a sip of the sky, Oh what a sight.
The sun is setting on our treasured night.
Like romantic propaganda we sit hand in hand,
and stare out into the shadows of the land.
Such romantic beauty to behold,
I'm holding you close so you won't get cold.
Dreaming of lives together as one,
as we watch the beautiful setting sun.
I couldn't ask for a sweeter combination,
like our poetry, we stir every sensation.
The power of the flesh, the dance of the heart.
On love's stage we play every part.
Mother Nature in all of her glory,
Plays the backdrop for our love story.
Two hearts coming together as one,
our new journey has just begun.
We could paint a picture, we could write a poem
We could call this a future, call it our home.
Its more than words and it is more than lines
When two lovers with a like mind combines
Today I hit the wetland trails
Today I hit the wetland trails
I’ve not done this for a while
It’s not the same as the older days
When I used to walk for miles
My body’s getting older now
I’m easing off a bit
And yet these wetlands filled with life
I love them, I admit.
Whilst walking I got kind of high
The clouds were in the sky
As the rain was teeming down
I heard the ravens cry
As two of them flew over head
Giving out their lonely calls
There’s something about these big black birds
That be so beautiful.
Then I saw a flock of swallows
About a hundred strong
They were not singing tenderly
I heard no kind of song
But my, those birds, they seemed to dance
They whirled and twirled around
And put my mind into a trance
As I trod the grassy ground.
I walked for just an hour or two
As that rain, it soaked the earth
Oh. Walking through these wetland trails
Is a thing of so much worth
Then I went home to write some poems
To celebrate my day
And let the day just do its thing
As I went on my way.

jostling in the garden
bees and wasps compete
for the flower's favours
perched on a petal
butterfly uncoils its tube
then injects the flower
a gust of wind
the dried leaf leaps up
and dances in the air
The girl at the river
with folding mountains
and shaggy trees
Watched two white swans
swaying with the moody breeze
She watched as they danced
and ruffled their feathers
In a way they were separate
but always together
She sat for a while as
she inhaled the moment
She knew in her heart the
swans would always be devoted
And as the swans drifted softly
away with each other
The girl at the river
thought only of her lover
Strauss waltz in the air
Tales from Vienna Woods
A curled leafs Improv
Beneath the white power
of the moon, Stones rumble.
Laughing River waters answer,
Field Daisy bows to Meadow Rose.
Leafy arms grasp throaty vines
and the moonlight waltz begins.
Mister Elm directs with head bowed
and arms raised in ardent abandon.
Miss Willow sways. Skirts swirl
seductively, brushing her ankles,
stirring the moon-kissed air,
awaking the enchanted,
who join the dance
to celebrate freedom of the night.
Only the nocturnal
experience the joyful play
and learn the secret
of Nature's night-time symphony.
At the first hint of dawn,
music fades, movement stills,
creatures retreat into burrows
and slip into day-mode.
In The Clouds
A sweet morning is the Sun peeking, peeking
the clouds swaying , playing but not leaking
A cool breeze birthed by clouds and their fruits
just as the apple comes from tree and its roots
A great day is under a tree watching the clouds
thinking of earth and the mysteries it shrouds
A great storm brewing silently so very far away
God and Nature dancing in a life renewing play
A fine night is often those cloudless skies
glittering stars striking the awestruck eyes
The moon hides behind a cloud in a blanket
dares to peep around and not even thank it
Clouds are ships bringing such precious rain
Beautiful oceans above bleeding again and again

I do not know?
Oh! pretty nature
This is eye-catcher
On the wet, wet grass
There were few dew drops
Shelly and I
Reeling, in pleasure
Selling, our leisure
Rolling, in great measure
This is big pleasure
O, I love this season
This is the reason...
emerging in the rising twilight
the stars brought tears to our eyes
the wings were like songs
signaling the dry desert rising,
from the great nest
by the edge where the world
is split open
some hands reach up
from an opening in the sky
the belly of the earth
heaving out its kin
Oasis at noon
What a wonderous quiet place it is
the heart of a palm oasis
skirted trees stand guard about
keeping dusty heat without
holding shaded cool within
a small breeze sneaks past a frond
dancing in ripples across the pond
am I intruder, am I part
I wander and wonder in my heart.
as I penetrate deeper in.
Oasis at sunset
Guardian against sunset
the ancient palm stands
resting in drifting sands
Beneath whispering fronds
cicadas begin to sing
brown bats take wing
Firey clouds, cooling breeze
evening deepens, night decends
Oasis awakens, day ends
Oasis at Dawn
Darkling shadows intertwine
With the sprinklings of the moon
Every night paints a new design
That smooths across like puddled wine
Evaporating just as soon
With pallette of rainbowed hue
The sun splashes the eastern sky
Painting over the shadow's blue
Which however remains in view
Absorbing the more brilliant dye
Hands awaken! Speak out! Answer to sacred shouts,
subterranean whispering, to stars above rooftops—
thread sunlit branches with the chattering of a thousand leaves.
If fluxes and urgencies of confusion or death
should drawn you into your self-box, I say,
remember when one constructed self-prison fell away.
However you helped this forward,
do more of the same.
Be rain-hands, weeping, steeped in earth fragrance.
Be fingers in blossom, faces turning upward,
loves innumerable, rough-cut bedazzled—
unafraid to be splayed open.
Be pocketed hands, released to the welcoming wind—
multiplying there in mid-air,
riding the four directions.
Be hands of smoke and fire, descending and ascending like ragged bird-song—
effulgent, double-charged with surprise
and now even with mock surprises.
Start at the beginning, where you are.
Don’t be satiate with loll-lolling
recede wave’s tide, retreat back and back
into yourselves, until grown utterly intellectual and lumpish!
Now, you Human Being—you come awake also!
Sweep the furnishings from table. Upend the table lawlessly.
Bring the muscular, fleshy, feminine against the masculine and muscular.
Bring the masculine to the feminine. Bring friend to enemy,
estranged neighbor to the confidant. In a dance of pressing hands,
let subtle conversation play.
Ring all the tiny bells.
Stir the King and Queen of Remembrance.
In over-arching restraint, holding back one iota, so pure notes sound—
bring sunburst, sphere and harmony.
Make your entire body a listening board
forming therein—tender shape around which love
seed unfolds infinite spaces and then…
Spring awake! All to better dreaming
where hope and faith are undashed, not this dying.
O, hear me now! Hands, every which one of you,
with every human—never again sleep,
Come in, you wind, please, settle down
Must be quite tired, all that rushing around!
Tell me a tale – oh, come on, dear wind!
Tell me what you’ve seen, tell me where you’ve been?
Yes, please come in, wind, to tell me a story –
Whatever you speak of, I know will not bore me
You’ve flown over here, blown over there,
Visited places no one would dare
You’ve traveled so near, traveled so far,
Say, what is it like to touch all those stars?
You can drip like the rain, rush like the water,
Cool things way down or make them much hotter
You come on in, my dear, dear friend wind
Blow right through my soul, cleanse me deep down within
Then, take me with you as you go, my dear wind
Carry me gently, pull me loose from my skin
Let’s dance windy waltzes as we swirl through the air
A lover’s embrace – feel the joy we will share
When our wind dance is over & you return me to human,
I’ll feel so much better, a happier woman!
Yes, let us go then, wind, you and I
Throughout the galaxies let us spread wings and fly
Across the blue, true dream of sky
Let us go then, wind, just you and I
If I had one life to live, I would like to be
A Weeping Willow Tree
My illustrious arms would be dancing
towards the heavens
Inviting to my God quite majestically
The winds will flow with ethereal beauty,
My biggest goal would be to bring a smile.
Too many faces upon this day
Then these swaying arms will chase demons away,
This bounteous earth would be a place to be.
I'd sway my arms freely to the heavens above
If I were a weeping willow tree,
Come do my dance of rejoice in the right direction.
Then ever more there will be no hesitation
My illustrious arms are reaching among the stars above,
Come dance with me so we can be in the same program.
Then we'll all sing real happily
All inviting us with swaying willows,
For we'll all be endorsed among.
The Weeping Willow Trees
My illustrious arms are reaching to the heavens,
Come do my dance of rejoice to the heavens above.
If I were a Weeping Willow Tree
My illustrious arms would be dancing towards
the heavens with love.

The blue turned grey turned to blankets of white,
Midwinter’s shroud that mantled field and town,
A breath of north resounds across the night,
To leave a frosty sparkle on winter’s gown.
Beneath the moon the fairies come to dance,
While dreamy eyes rejoice upon the scene,
As bow and fiddle strike up their romance,
The mind recalls this place where love had been.
I watched them dance an elfin jig or two,
My heart, meanwhile, languished in years gone by,
When you and I would dance all dressed in blue,
Then share a kiss beneath the winter sky.
Those wistful times that never fade away,
Returning bed and there beside you lay.
Form: English Sonnet
I once walked into my backyard
and found two slugs mating in a bucket
I had just learned how slugs go about mating,
or trust-I would have been rightly confused
Here hangs a long line of slime, almost a foot long
and then halfway down the thread of slime, it begins to twist, to look like a strand of DNA
I am fascinated beyond comprehension
What am I seeing, I mean I KNOW what Im seeing- But WHAT am I seeing??
These two gelatinous creatures, that I admit Ive never given much thought to before
are forming the most intricate, delicate dance of fornication
This is too much for my mind,
and so I just sat and looked on in awe...this lasted for awhile so I unfortunately wasnt there for the seperation.
Now, Im lost in the realm of procreation, its consumed in my head every time I go back and imagine those delicate slugs.
Cats. Big, small, lions, cheetahs, tigers..I believe they all mate the same way.
A female goes into estrus, and males come rolling in from far and wide. Marking every guidepost along the way, announcing his arrival.
The Lioness lays comfortably in the shade, waiting to be presented her King.
And the brawl ensues. Maybe hours or days. Screaming and slashing, boasting and threatening.
And finally when the lesser males are too worn out, too ashamed, given up, deflated...
The big man with all the prowess grabs his woman with his teeth, mounting her, her resisting..testing if she approves.
They are loud and vicious when they finally get down to it. And persistent.
Days go by, they barely eat, they are barely concious of their surroundings, hormones driving them.
They mate, they rest, they fight, they mate, they rest.
And then its over just like nothing ever happened. And shes left alone to gestate the next generation.
Birds. Birds vary...dogs and cats can be predictable when it comes to making babies.
But birds have different rules. Alot of birds mate for life and are monogomous...better than humans at it too.
Swans are particularly faithful, and heartbroken when their mates die.
There is a type of male bird that will spend hours upon hours building elaborate, beautiful nests,
collecting pretty, colorful things...making a comfortable space to get it on with his lady.
And then the females browse the different nests looking for the perfect living space for a very important event.
Some birds dance, they show off every beautiful move they have to earn the heart and eggs of a woman.
And we all know peacocks. The males are burdened with being beautiful, trying to catch a pretty birds eye. Quite opposite of us peoples, huh?
I could go on...but just a few more points on procreation.
Penguins, males keeping the eggs, almost starving to death to make sure they hatch.
Crocodiles burying their eggs just offshore, and just waiting to take out predators looking for yummy croc eggs.
Octopi will do some craziness where the female starves herself to death to make sure her young hatch alive.
Male seahorses defying everything we know about life, carry the babies....if they can, why...??
Orcas will nurse for up to 5 years, even after another calf has been born. The females never leave the family.
Female hyenas have a 7 inch clitoris which they give birth out of, Im grateful to not be a hyena.
The strongest, largest shark in the womb will cannibalize its siblings. Survival of the fittest.
So now Humans.
We have hormones like all the other animals, we act on them, we procreate.
But its almost as if we do this slyly. Not everyone obviously-not aimed at people fighting to have a child.
We say were making love, connecting, feeling. But how much is truly lust, hormones and instinct?
We have similarities of all animals in our mating rituals, whether babies are in mind or not.
Men act tough, or try to look so slick. Women flirt and dance and wear bright shiny objects, like shes trying to lure a magpie not a partner.
And we have our fights, we get vicious and physical, we fight and we penetrate, fight and penetrate.
And then almost always someone walks away.
I always come back to the slugs.
Where there seems to be no pretension, no need for competition.
I could be so completly wrong about so many things.
But those slugs just seem to be doing something right.
I see the flowers sing their dance of birth
After the love rain falls they push their way through the earth
They stretch their stems toward the light in the sky
To show their natural beauty and challenge us to deny
They open their petals and contemplate
Hopefully a bee will sleep for a while so they can pollinate
There picked for our pleasure or given to a dear
Their seed is strong and will grow again next year
So stop and admire or smell them for your self worth
I see the flowers sing their dance of birth
Don’t try to understand the way it is.
Don’t work it out with logic or you’ll miss
The loveliness that all around you lies
In everything that lives, and always dies.
Look without the words that cause the mess,
And gaze at life with so much tenderness.
Just drink in all the mystery you see,
Swim within it’s beauty, let it be.
So dance my child and wildly sing your song,
This song is yours to you it does belong.
Just live your life, embrace eternity,
And feel within that fire of ecstasy.
You tread a road that never has been trod,
Be you with the devil, or with God.
Go with it child, and melt within the flow,
Feel that mighty flame within you grow.
First rhythm to the beat:
Next guest of honour:
Following the morning after:
Self-awareness and courage
Break for freedom:
The musician strikes a cord
And echoes the universe it's glorious Love song
I do not know?
Flows in all motions
Motives of demonic ways
The pact howls
Intuitive and unsafe
The pact howls
Daring to follow
The pact howls
It's time for the hunt
Motives to celebrate
Whichever motion it flows
The recreational pact
You dance in colours
Your dance is the dance of nature
Your beauty is like converging wings in contours
And succulent nectar you slowly nurture.
The bees come
Humming their persistent greeting
The butterflies come
Converging in sucking meeting –
Like young lovers
Into your secret bed their fangs nuzzle
Yet these lovers
Because of your nature did puzzle.
Why did mighty nature
Hold you up to ridicule?
Why did brave nature
Create your riddle?
That when beauty is the ripest
Then becomes beauty the saddest!
That when life is the sweetest
Then becomes life the shortest!
The Hay Meadow Creek divides my Parent's land
Its waters run clear and true
It then flows into the Prairie
Along untended Lincoln County lands.
The Prairie is a little wider
A little deeper too
Its banks are a little more traveled
By seasoned anglers through and through.
I like to hang my head
over the Hay Meadow Bridge
I like to watch the clouds sail overhead
Reflected in the creek's moving pools, over branches left long dead.
The bridge has been there my entire life
Just down the hill and around the corner
A place for quiet solitude
A place to reflect on my sheltered life's wonder.
I like to watch the dragonflies
Dance along its tangled banks
On magical summer fairy wings
while June Bugs and Bullfrogs like to sing.
They dance and hover along the banks
The banks that are their borders
The shores of their horizons
Now that I am in my later years
I miss these absentminded visions.
I can see the brown trout swimming
from my elevated place in Heaven
I can see some rainbows also
From my seated place of speculation.
I can see their shaded outlines in the deeper pools
Colored copper by the iron in the creek bottom's residues
Along with all of the granite here
Its a gold mine of rocks and pebbles.
I can see their shadowy figures dance and sway
There are no anglers casting today
And so their lives will be spared until another day
When hooked and caught, they will be carried away.
To where they will be someone's breakfast or lunch or dinner
But not today, they are safe as I gaze upon them today
There are no anglers in sight
The Farmers Almanac predicted not
Not until theMonth's next Fortnight.
The Creek bends slightly before it arrives here at the Bridge
There is a rapids flowing, a rapids of water meeting ridge
I can hear its music played aloud
Between the rocks and boulders a tune.
A song whose voice changes very little during the day
Only when the Spring and Summer rains come along
Or when the Winter's temperature turns all movement into solid ice
Ans then silence becomes the norm.
But for the today
I can watch the Browns and Rainbows dance and sway
There are no anglers wading about
To cast their lines across the shadows here.
Their lives are safe, My memories are dear
I will hold them close in my older years
Of the days of watching the Haymeadow Creek
Lying on the Bridge that I held so dear.

the waves captivate me
with their dance along the shore
they dance a dance that
mesmerizes all who come their way
step in the cool clear water
let it wash away everything
the waves come and evermore
Calling you up
on the phone
all 1600 of us
are on the line
between the hours of two and 4 am
75 miles an hour
shattered me like glass
struggling we go to the edge
a procession for the king
the subjugated called
speaking in tongues
l learn to shut up, listen while
hopelessness, plagues, drought and suffering
leaving only this skin hanging on the branches
withdrawn and awake
in the new nowhere
A rustle of leaves
Wisp of wind
The trees bend and weave
As they dance in the breeze
Warm golden sun
Bright green leaves
Painting patterns in the light
Sounds like laughter
Fresh and new
Inviting me to dance along
A man that is smiling,
I don’t know,
Is he perfect for me?
May I ask him?
Would you like to dance with me?
A man that is watching my legs,
I don’t know,
What’s he thinking about me?
May I ask him?
Would you like to dance with me?
A man that is offering me a drink,
I don’t know,
What’s he expecting from me?
May he ask me?
Would you like to dance with me?
My heart is palpitating,
My breaths are swallowed,
I can’t live without someone,
May I ask him?
Do you like to care for me?
I watch delicate flowers dance a delightful wave
Their brilliance and fragrance designed for us, to delight and to amaze
They spring in precision to the harmony in the breeze
My eyes see a piece of heaven as I watch them dance to please
I watch with wonder, for their creation, mystifies my mind
I sense God’s glorious design, in all His formations so divine

I don't have a red cent in my hand!

Upon eve, in the morning of spring, I witnessed the waltz of Mother Nature through the
An apparition, personification of my daydreams, she did a ritual dance on bare-feet, while, I
stooped down (hidden) on bended knee.
All the souls of nature, from the grass to the springs, sprouted to human forms around her.
For she was their Goddess.
An earth quake rippled through the ground up to the air, sound as an awaken soul,
destroying the old with new, an instant out of phase with time; Fantasy clashing with reality.
The scene before me was as dark as it was beautiful, violence intermixed with serenity,
exhilarating my soul with desire. This is how the moment was painted.
The dance floor was a battlefield of motion and form, chaos fueling their souls, the hour:
midnight. Sky was full of an alien audience of stars acting in accordance with their part. Air
held amplified scents from all of nature around them.
Magical beings like animals fighting for supremacy to exist, ripping at each-others souls, at
their organic flesh, shredding each-other into mulch. Music: the cries of the plants.
How deep the torment and content ran within them, ghosts of former selves floating to
heaven like angels. Others, regenerating into the soil their essence, sprouting up in
abundance. Mother nature their mediator. For this was the Waltz of the Seasons.
Then, as quickly as it began, all the magic faded to obscurity as Mother Nature walked on.
Leaving behind the coliseum of change. Leaving behind this reporter, observing through

The violin and piano begin to play in full harmony, " Un Ballo In Maschera,"
and all the guests come out gracefully to join the masquerade ball without timidity...
wearing luxurious and colorful costumes of the legendary Venetian Era;
and they elegantly dance on the diamond-shaped floor, trying to gess each other's identity.
The chorus adapts a moderato tone as wished by the conductor's baton, as the harmonic tones
accompany the high pitched soprano, who suddenly bursts out in a hissy scene;
she shouts, "My Riccardo has betrayed me! Take his mask off, and let him see me!"
And while the melody is embellished by the harmony, in anguish, she discords her vivid notes.

I do not know?
All I need,
Is the air,
To make me grow,
And dance around,
Sometimes I shrink,
To one tiny ember,
But still leathal,
Big and Tall,
Just one touch,
To strike you down,
I can do
What ever I want,
Burn you down,
Bring you up,
Addictive to watch,
I dance around,
Nice to the eye,
Bad to the touch,
The ultimate bulldozer,
That is I,
That lay in my path,
I only have,
One single enemy,
A mutating blue blanket,
If it lie in my way,
This is I,
Fiery as ever,
But can you see,
The beauty inside?
Rush the draw
The Buffalo Dance
Race the Thunder
Over the hill
Take the world
By sheer will
Free and Wild
Split the air
Call it Destiny
Call it Chance
Drums beat out
The Buffalo Dance
Rise and Fall
The Liar’s Moon
Death and Existence
Come too soon
Earth is made
Of Give and Take
Past and Future
Are at stake
Spirits of Fire
Join the Buffalo Dance
To the Wind
Now is the place
Turn the herd
Lead the pack
Blaze new tracks
Dreams are real
This is no trance
Life lived Full
Is the Buffalo Dance
I do not know?
Shadows dance upon the plains as spirits speak their prayers
In the light of the flickering flames they reflect in flares
Smoke and ash, they hint their times when they too were alive
And in shadow dance they visit to show where some must stride
Secrets learned that should be shared with those who are in need
The Spirits watch for moments when those seek them to lead
In the juice of the cactus the Spirits hide a way
For some to ingest and see them in the light of day
The magic of the afterworld consumes the mortal man
As he tries to find the spirit that will lead him on the sands
Cactus juice and wonder become a mystic sight
To those who only watch in the silent of the night
Buttons grow in flaming winds as voices start to sing
The spirit of the man though caged can touch this sacred thing
Peyote chant and lullaby fill the desert air
And ancestral blood responds to life with its Native care
“Oh, Spirits of my Native blood I need your open arms
To comfort me tonight and guide me through these storms
They stand before me like a darkened looming beast
I need your seeing eyes that rises from the East”
“I plead to my fellow man, show me the right way”
Spiraling smoke, whispers and a chanting haunting bay
Screaming blood and drops of rain come down and disappear
Shadows dance upon the walls pulsing echoes near
Like ghostly strength with windy tails filling all the air
Rising from the sands with heavy burdens bare
They twinkle in the sky, they flutter on the ground
They become the atmosphere and sing their lonely sound
My ancestral Peyote lullaby wipe away my tears
And my ancestral spirits help me face my fears
My eyes grow heavy in this peyote dream
And I seek a place to set myself beside the quiet stream
Harmony grows from my mouth as I lie to face the stars
They too are things to admire each symbols of ancient wars
I sing to the heavens that hold my future lands
But I rest quite comfortably here on my Native sands
Oh Peyote, the cactus that grows from our ground
My Peyote song is the only emitted sound
And I sing til I break into my peaceful sleep
To dance with the cactus that is meant for me to keep
Compare the lyre to an individual whisper
Using its perception in a character of song,
Title it together with a finer tune, and crisper
A voice with an opinion shall belong.
The dance in all perspective, will arrange
A silence of a kind, with pause between-
With undulating goals where rhythms change
Our universal orbits self esteem.
An independent dance that raged with war;
From natures balance, dreams beyond compare
That song and dance had trust in God before,
Our pride of place in space, had someone there.
The lyre defines our time, where space expands
Composed responsibility of wills,
That who shall play the instrument with hands
Shall play with godly power, all those skills.
To ride Lippizans
My eldest daughter
She of the animalistic tendencies
Took a large warmblood
Out to the back pasture
For needed exercise
The horse was tightly wound
A big buck jumped up
Snorted and bounced a couple of times
Then waited to see what we’d do
I could feel the bolting desire exploding
I dropped the reins
and patted the bulging neck
at my chin with both hands
The horse was so up I could have stroked his nostrils
I was not leaning forward
It was all I could do
to turn this sudden desire to bolt
into a dance of pride
The buck bounced a couple more times
And I fed the joy of the sight right into his fright
Laughing with the excitement of it all
as the buck left
I rode that horse in a prancing high legged dance of pride
Feeling every nuance of nerve endings
Shouting and singing aloud with the joy of it
To control that much force
To have my legs holding all that shuddering wonder
I never wanted to come down
This was why I ride horses
Dad didn’t write any poetry today
He only listened
And felt how it is to ride a horse joyfully
Some days are treasured pleasures
Poetry’s where we store them
Sunshine dance through my windows and warm up my house,
the air in here looks dingy and I need you to dance all about.
Reflect your warmness to me and chase away this days lazy games,
let your radiance shine straight to me, scaring all the gloom away.
Warmness cuddle right up to me and then promise to stay,
rain and clouds, puddles and mud, shadows don't make me do it,
Here sunshine keep chasing them all though the day.
sun catchers turn with each thought that keeps me gay,
If you don't like it sue me, I am playing with the sunshine today.
Beneath the greening of the summerwarmed earth
Corruption proceeds in its slow work
Feeding the living on the fruits of its breakage
Of the form and substance of the dead...
From this, on the clearest days
Is born that striving towards the warm golden light,
The reach of leaf, of wing, of coarsened coat
And hairless face -
The upward, joyful swim through the welcome heat
Flooding down upon us from the sun,
The fire that called this life forth from a stone.
She shines upon the boundless deeps,
Her light a song that rings upon the flesh, the fur,
The rock, the waters
Calling out the life to dance and die and dance again
The nearness of her sacred touch a gift
Granted here, for no reason, by the Infinite Mother -
This jewel in a wombfull of stars.
In drinking star juice,
we internal light the fires within
We taffy twist and tug and spin
the wings of self elation
We bluntly burn each ventricle
and cauterize our lungs until
each tendril of our core is skin invading
And when the juice of stars ignites
we dance the dance and fight the fight
with solar flares to shoot our mouths
to moons yet undiscovered
It's in this moment we depart
and shatter long before we start
to lick elixir from the sky
in lunar inspiration.
I do not know?
The witching hour draws near, as the village below lies at rest,
It's only my opinion but this hour is the best
Witches and warlocks come out to play
Useing only the moonlight to make their way
Spells are cast, witches brew
and one lil' witch trying something new
By her cauldron, Hot in the fire
Final touches are added;
Her heart's desire
Around the cauldron she begins to dance and sing
Other soon join her and do the same thing
She begins to chant,
others still dance by her flame
"Oh GREAT ONE," she cries,
"I shall call you by name"
"Oh goddess of earth, fire, water and air
give me a sign, let me know you are there"
A gust of wind sweeps through the forrest,
out almost goes the flame
Then the strange wind gone again,
as oddly as it had came
The other stood in silence,
some dazed and confused
Other were excited,
some amazed and amused
The lil' witch stood only with a smile,
quite confident of her power;
"That's what happens" she said smugley
"When your with me in the witching hour!"
A dance I’ll steal from this night
And move slowly with the moon
Stars will shine upon my feet
I will create a waltz for each one.
My arms move slowly, entrancingly
Hypnotizing sleepy watching eyes
Light sprinkles on my face from above
My bare feet glide across the breezy grass
A dance I’ll steal from this night
Sailing between each strong tree
Fireflies accompany my spellbound trance
Musical allusions fly alongside.
The flowers bloom acceptingly in the still of the night
Their quieted lights reveal the dreams of those asleep
Nuzzled in their nests as I drift below the leaves
Dancing in a daze, as I would in any sleep.
My feet skim a cool stream’s edge
Fresh water glittering on my lively legs
A skip across the small blue belt
The constitution of the forest
Winding from end to end.
A dance I’ve stolen from the night
In a forest of breathtaking captivities
Each shining star a kindly ovation
To my dreamy wander.
Come dance with me my sight full friend.
We'll dress in Kelly green.
Twirl me through yon branches then,
Come help my heart to keen.
I know ye hear the the music lad,
I've seen yer tappin feet.
The notes are high, and so am I,
come swing me to the beat
Let's skip an' dance in wild romance.
Come whirl and twirl a while.
Your secrets safe wi me me lad,
Oh now I see y' smile!
away, awa, we'll dance so far,
y'll swear we've come aboot.
Just have a sip from this wee jar,
Before ye've taken root.
the dance is golden
but what is next
silence is violent
the dance is done
As the water flows through the rocks,
bouncing from edge to edge,
lights dance in the pools,
we dance the dance of a lifetime.
We added many things
to this waterfall we're building,
only to discared and recollect
old yesterdays left behind.
I found a few frogs
or maybe they found me,
they seem to show-off my ugly flaws.
Then some turtles wandered in,
just where they fit in,
we may never know for sure.
I hope the water never ceases to flow;
and like the love in our hearts,
I hope the water will
Gently falling silence
White envelopes everything
Cool breeze upon my face
A piercing subtle sting
Beautiful shapes falling
Not visible to the naked eye
Symbolizing Mother Nature
Must we say goodbye?
The dance embarks traditions
Sledding, ice skating and tobogganing
Increasing is its magical rhythm
Watching our children dance and sing
In the blink of an eye it dissipates
As the warmth of sun comes out to play
White landscape has now departed
Awaiting idle for another day
